Corey and his crew were great! Our toilet flooded October 2023 and ruined my hardwood floors and flooded the basement. The job probably could have been done super fast but because of insurance it took a whole year!! But Corey was patient and understanding. His whole team was great from the flooring guys and the plumbers to the guys who did the drywall and painting. Even the young lady who came to clean up afterwards was wonderful! I would definitely recommend southern elite in the future.

Absolutely loved the remodel they did for our home, it did take time but that’s bc insurance usually drags their feet for as long as they can but if you communicate with this company they will give you advice on how long businesses like insurance have to respond to certain demands etc. If you express a concern at least from our experience with Josh and Ryan it will be resolved! I have been working with Rock Podeszwa and Devin Smith for the last 6 months on an insurance claim . It has been a complete nightmare due to my insurance company! We recently just had our kitchen reconstructed and brought back to pre-loss condition thanks to Josh. As a Wife and Mother getting through the Holidays without a functioning kitchen was super stressful but this company helped us every step of the way. Responses are generally very fast and communication/expectations are clear however, I definitely feel like they went above and beyond for us. Ryan and his construction team did a wonderful job installing everything. I was very frustrated but after voicing my concern on items that had not been fixed Southern Elite sent out their contractor Stephen Small who was excellent!!! He was able to redress all items I had an issue with. I would definitely use them again! I’m very happy with their work and have a beautiful kitchen to prove it!

Stephen was the contractor assigned to my house. Throughout the entire process he was upfront and honest about what he was doing. He continually checked in with me throughout the day as well as send me update pictures. The only thing I would add is that he could use an extra hand as he had a lot of work to do by himself (patching large holes in two ceilings, replacing flooring on 2 floors, painting, and patching smaller holes throughout the house). He is a hard worker and gave me confidence in Southern Elite Contracting for any and all future needs!

My original review was posted with my honest experience and feelings. The review cast negativity toward the business and its operations. The complaint is not with the work that was completed on my home(which was completed and fine) but more so with insurance claims and how things work on the backside. No one took the time to really explain. Which led to confusion and misunderstanding and being spoke to rudely. I would like to reassess my statement due to my further experience.Upon voicing this concern I was contacted by customer relations manger who promptly took control of the situation, provided confidence that this was not a normal situation that occurred and the owner would want to personally rectify the issue himself. I was contacted by the owner less than 24 hours later, the situation resolved. The owner seems to genuinely care about his customers and how they view his business. My original experience didn’t go away but I respect the professionalism, effort and promptness that the staff took to resolve the situation.

I had a bathroom plumbing issue last year, a newly purchased home at which the former owner left me with lots of plumbing projects. My primary upstairs bathroom had an issue with the shower drain and floor pan which caused water damage on the first floor of my home. I was referred to Southern Elite Contractors from a plumber and I gotta tell you, I am very pleased I elected to have them repair my bathroom. I got a brand new shower, drain, new floor tile. I had some minor issues post completion but they were quickly addressed and resolved. My project manager Aaron Morris has been amazing to work with. Always professional and upbeat, responsive, communicative and compassionate. Their customer relations reps Jill and Christy were always pleasant to work with as well. This company has exemplified the meaning of true customer service and has a lifetime customer for all of my indoor contracting needs.

My experience with SEC has been very good. The only negative thing for me was that everything took place with a lot of delay due to insurance negotiation. The five stars is due in large part to Irwin McClendon. He was our contact and his communication skills are excellent. He called, came by or texted at least weekly. I had my roofing replaced due to storm damage. Southern Elite was recommended by a friend, Im so glad we went with them! They were friendly, professional and kept me updated in the process. We had some issues with the insurance company during the process but they did not drop the ball. I worked with Rocco as my project manager and Omar as the on-site supervisor. Both guys are great! Rocco kept me updated on every aspect of the who, what, when and why. Im very satisfied with Roccos help, he made sure I understood exactly what the process was and answered any questions I had with no hesitation or delay. We are planning a project in the future and I plan to use them when we remodel the back of the house. I would recommend them to anyone needing work done.

Southern elite has played an important role in my life over the last several months. I had extensive water damage and they was able to write an thorough estimate to submit to the insurance company. Things that I would have not considered to include they got it approved. My project coordinator Ernie Green is phenomenal, he was their by my side the entire time communicating with me every step of the way. I could call his cell ANYTIME!!! He is the best at what he do. If you ever use them, ask for Ernie as your coordinator. Southern elite has the most professional and respectable contractors I ever worked with. Contractors get a bad rep but these guys(Kevin, Richard, Courtney, Zack, just to name a few) were a godsend. They have put my house back together better than before the water damage and they clean up after themselves.Each contractor did their part in a timely manner and professionally; from the painter, the carpet, the bathroom remodel, the tile as well as the ceiling repairs. They went above and beyond my satisfaction. These guys became family and I will continue to use them for future repairs. Lastly, I have to give shout out to Natasha who works in the office behind the scene. She stayed on the insurance co throughout the entire process making sure that they did what they were supposed to do. Thank you Southern elite for keeping your word and repairing my house. Rocco Podeszwa at Southern Elite has been such a huge help and he went above and beyond for my family. The insurance team was difficult to work with but Rocco had our back through the whole process.Once we got everything figured out with insurance, Rocco didn’t waste a second getting his team to come in to start repairs/remodel to our master bathroom. We had a good bit of damage from a water leak coming from the refrigerator. It damaged both the up and down stairs and so extensive work was needed. They came in on time every day and started to work automatically. They answered all our questions and helped out with some things that were not part of the original job. They were extremely kind and courteous. (Something you don’t see any more ). They called us after each job to verify that things were done correctly, and that we were satisfied . They came back as often as necessary until we were completely satisfied. I would definitely recommend them to anyone that needs work done.I am adding this to my review only so people that use this company can be aware. After the work was done, I was extremely satisfied with all they had done. It wasnt until later that I started seeing things that were not done correctly or they took short cuts to complete. They told me they had repainted the down stairs wall, when in fact all they did was a little touch up work, and not very good either. They repainted my upstairs doors with the wrong type of paint and it started to peel off. I am writing this email to express our extreme gratitude for the hard work that Gerald Lawrence, a SEC project manager, had to endure to transform our repairs from the past difficulties to an ultimate reality for my son and me. Before Gerald was assigned to us, we had two previous project managers who were affiliated with the company for a brief period of time. So when he was assigned, we did question the customer service representative. She assured us that we were getting the best person. Initially, we felt like we were bounced around by our insurance company. We had three insurance adjusters. Once Gerald was assigned, he made sure that the last insurance adjuster was knowledgeable of our previous problems. He demonstrated excellent communication skills, professionalism, and concern. Additionally, he also referred us to Jeremiah Reed concerning our floors, who determined our needs and desires. He was extremely knowledgeable and personable as well. During the duration of the project, Gerald contacted us on a timely basis. He answered and defended his work with our insurance company. And surprisingly, he had all of the repairs completed in two months. The repairs look AMAZING!! Honestly, my son and I believe that our satisfaction is due to Gerald’s expertise. All in all, if there is a need for us to use SEC again, we must have Gerald Lawrence as our project manager. We trust him! In a 5 star review rating, we would give him 10 stars!!

I reached out to Southern Elite in late March of 2023 to explore the option of enlarging a window (replacing a single with double) in a bedroom of our house-- we wanted more natural lighting in the room. At the time, my wife and I werent sure if we really wanted to go forward with the project, but we did want to talk to a professional to better understand what our options were. I received prompt, professional, courteous service from Austin who came by our house to give us a careful evaluation. He asked relevant questions, was respectful, and relatable. Austin put forth a respectable effort to contact the window vendor, find an exact match (our house was built in 2016) and gave us different options to choose from. Even though we ultimately decided that it was not the right time to proceed with the window project, Austin never came across as if we wasted his time and was a joy to work with throughout the exploratory phase. I recently used Southern Elite Contracting after a leak from my refrigerator ruined my wood floor (continuous floor so the entire downstairs had to be sanded and refinished along with wood needing to be replaced) and parts of my unfinished basement needed to be cleaned and insulation needed to be replaced. Devin -the owner- was wonderful to work with. I was not very patient when dealing with the insurance (who did not want to pay enough to get the floor fixed back to original condition- the original amount provided was very low and would not allow the project to be completed). This frustration I took out on Southern Elite contracting because I thought they were just “holding my money”. Devin assured me that with consistent communication with the insurance, we would get all the money necessary to complete my project, but it would take time and I would need to be patient. Southern Elite submitted an estimate in October and the insurance would not approve it. After months of back and forth with the insurance and finally getting a supervisor involved, the insurance, in January, paid the exact amount Southern Elite had requested in October. Devin was right! He said he would not start the project knowing we did not have enough money to complete the project to meet my expectations. Once it was approved by the insurance, the project swiftly began and was completed within two weeks. The contractors that performed the work were professional and did a fantastic job! I even had one spot that “wasn’t right” and they quickly came back out and corrected it! I promise that there were points throughout the process that I thought I went with the wrong contractor, but now I realize my insurance adjuster was trying to provide as little money as possible to “get the job done”, but now I see where they wanted the contractor to cut corners, and I would have never been happy with the results. I cannot thank Devin enough for keeping me calm and explaining the process to me. He was encouraging and kept saying we will get the money to complete the entire project at one time and it will not only meet but exceed your expectations. Devin was 100% correct. My floor is beautiful and everything was fixed back to the original condition (if not better!) I would absolutely use Southern Elite Contracting again!!

I had water Damage to my basement due to a Pipe burst during December 2022 hard winter freeze. Rock who is my Project manager for Southern Elite Contracting has been amazing. His coworker Erie who I had contact with also was great. Rock and Southern Elite Contracting team was upfront about time frame and what needed to be done and the process to get my repairs done correctly and cost and how they would communicate with me and the insurance company. Southern Elite Contracting worked with my insurance companys adjuster and filed a supplement claim for repairs the adjuster missed. The supplement was approved faster than expected and included everything needed to be repaired. I attribute the speed of it getting approved due to their attention to detail. I was included in all communications and observed this firsthand. My wife and I couldnt be happier. Rock is who I would recommend as He kept me in the loop for the entire process.We also hired Elite to fix and repair what a previous substandard contactor did at my residence. There are contactors you stay away from and some that become your go to for everything. Southern Elite Contracting is now my go to for everything for home repair/ renovation. Rock and all of Southern Elite were honest, polite, very professional. It was noticeable from the first interactions they had integrity and cared about the clients.

When I came home to our house destroyed with water, I didn’t know what I was going to do or how it was ever going to look the same after that. But Corey and his guys really had everything built back together so nicely. It looks better than it did before the flood. Corey helped throughout the whole process, he even helped out with talking to Insurance for me to make sure the damage and rebuild was covered. I highly recommend Corey and Southern Elite.

We were having some issues with the “builder grade” master bathroom; Our home was built in 2019, so not an old home at all. Garden tub with cracking, tub piping coming loose from the walls, and shower floor started popping up and down as you stepped into it. Needless to say, we were over it - builder’s warranty company provided zero help to us with precious issues we had, so it was pointless to contact them. Ultimate decision, completely redo the bathroom. That’s where Southern Elite Contracting stepped it. Smooth process, and beautiful details. I designed the bathroom, and they brought it to life! Southern Elite Contracting truly lives up to their name. I spoke to a very nice and professional gentleman named Andrew. I needed one of the walls repaired in our soon to be baby girls room, since our dog thought it was a good idea to chew a hole through it. Needless to say it turned out perfect. They also worked with my wife’s idea she saw on Pinterest to add on a diamond shaped 1x3 MDF pattern to give our baby girls room some flare. If I ever need anything done around the house I will always call them first, since every “can you do…. question was answered with an “of course/absolutely”. I could go on and on about my positive experience, but I’ll just save you the time and close with this. Call Southern Elite Contracting, since I have used many contractors that were sub-par and costly since the job had to be re-done. They get it right the first time for a great value!
