We cant thank Jim and the team at Cream City Construction enough. They were able to turn an under-the-stairs closet in our 1890s home into the most beautiful powder room, and we couldnt be happier. Jim was communicative throughout the process and they stayed right on schedule (and often ahead of schedule!). Would definitely recommend.

We wanted to remodel our bathroom by removing the original tub and creating a walk-in shower. We had several contractors over to get estimates including Cream City. Cream Cities estimate was right in line with the others. The one thing we liked about Cream City was the detailed design we were given. We then decided on Cream City.Another challenge we had was we were leaving to go to AZ for two weeks and wanted to have this project completed while we were gone as this is our only bathroom. Cream City had their crew stop in and look at the project ahead of time and we arranged with entry into our house while we were gone.We got daily updates on progress with pictures including finding that in our 100 year old house we had some wood rot behind the old tile. Cream City remedied this situation at their cost and completed the project before we arrived home.Hats off to the Cream City team and their approach to our project. We are more than satisfied with the results and are now enjoying our walk-in shower.Thanks Jim Grote and team for a job well done. I would highly recommend them for your remodeling projects.

We recently used Cream City Construction for a bathroom update in our 1936 colonial home. Before meeting with Jim, we thought we would have to gut the bathroom to get everything we wanted, which I was having a hard time with. We liked the floor, bathtub and tile and really didn’t want to get rid of it. After meeting with Jim, he felt confident we could keep everything we wanted and still get everything we were hoping for. From start to finish, the project went very smoothly. The communication was great from both Jim and Todd. The contractors were friendly and did a great job cleaning up after themselves. The project came in under the original quoted price and we couldn’t be happier with the finished bathroom. It is both beautiful and functional. We would work with Cream City Construction again in a heartbeat.

My husband and I hired Cream City Construction to completely renovate our 1920s kitchen and back entryway. It would be an understatement to say that we are completely thrilled with our new kitchen and entryway. When Jim came over to first take a look at our space, he told us not to shove things in drawers or closets. He wanted us to let him see how we honestly used our unrenovated kitchen every day. At the time, I was thoroughly embarrassed by all of our clutter, but it immediately went away when Jim showed us the drawings for our new space at the second design meeting. He took the struggles we told him we were having (plus the ones he saw we were having) and gave us drawings that reflected kitchen dreams that we didnt even know we had. A built-in pantry, additional under-island storage, an extra large sink so dishes arent piled up - Jim completely knocked the design out of the park, and then coordinated with his team to bring his drawings to life. I work with construction clients as part of my legal practice and am no stranger to home renovations. Despite the extensive nature of the renovations needed (including removal of a concrete subfloor!), it was the most seamless project I have ever experienced. Jim and his team were consummate professionals throughout the process, promptly answered questions, and provided us with frequent updates. They even delivered ahead of schedule! We will definitely be using Jim and his team for all of our future renovations - I couldnt recommend anyone more highly.

We have undergone two renovation projects with Cream City. Our first project was a bathroom 4 years ago. It was a complete gut and the end product was beautiful. Jim realized our vision and has a great aptitude for maintaining the integrity of an older home. Our kitchen reno just wrapped up and, once again, we are very pleased. As per our first experience, we stayed on budget, communication was excellent, the team was respectful and the quality of work is outstanding. We highly recommend working with Cream City for your next remodeling project.

Cream City Construction is a first class, highly professional building and remodeling company. We hired them to remodel our master bathroom and are extremely pleased with the results. The transformation is amazing and our new bathroom is beautiful! The process was collaborative and our vision was brought to life very creatively. Jim was very present and responsive when we had questions or concerns. Whatever the issue he had a solution. CCC also has a knack for hiring the best subcontractors. They are all truly artisans who know their craft. I felt confident leaving my home that it was in good hands. Remodeling is not fun but Jim and his crews made it as pain free as possible. And the end result is so worth it. I cant wait for my next project with Cream City!

Could not have asked for a better experience!! Having recently purchased our first home, my husband and I considered ourselves fairly naïve to the renovation process. After a so-so experience with another company, we looked to Cream City Construction to guide us in our endeavors – And we haven’t looked back since!Jim has been a joy to work with - Thorough, patient, present, readily available, answering questions we didn’t know we had. We really enjoyed working with Cream City Construction on our kitchen remodel. They did a great job communicating with us before and during the project. Before the start of the project, they presented us with a week by week schedule, which was maintained until almost the very end (when the holiday season pushed back the planned completion date by a few days). They promptly responded to our questions and concerns, and made sure that we understood what was going on and that we were happy with the work. The workmanship displayed by their subcontractors was outstanding, drawing high praise from our designer. The village inspections of the work passed with no problems.We would happily use Cream City again for future renovation projects.

Our kitchen remodel was a huge project but due to the knowledge and experience of Jim and Todd at Cream City Construction all went smoothly. The design was beautiful and the timeline was followed. Jim went out of his way to track down the granite originally selected for our countertops. We appreciated the selections made for our sink, faucet, flooring etc. so we werent overwhelmed with decisions. All the tradespeople were very professional and great to work with. Our kitchen is not only what we wanted - it is better than we could have imagined. We both enjoy having the room to work together in our new kitchen.

We used Cream City on a substantial design/build project this year involving the addition of a master bedroom suite to our home. Our home was built in the 1930’s so it was important to create a new space that fit with the style of the home while also providing modern amenities and space utilization. Another challenge involved matching the stone exterior of the new space with the existing stone exterior. Cream City did a great job, completing the project on time and on budget. The new space feels like it was always part of the home and the exterior matches perfectly, down to the stonework and windows. This was the second project that we have completed with Cream City and we would definitely use them again.

Cream City Construction transformed the entry way and porch for our 1939 home. From design to completion, Cream City owners and subcontractors were fully invested in making sure that we were happy with the outcome. The craftspeople they hired had both the knowledge of and respect for older homes and this showed in their very professional work. They went the extra mile to make make the new entryway look like it had always been there. They are very responsive to any questions or concerns that arise as the project progresses. Great team of people to work with. Jim Grote listened to what we wanted and made it happen. They were professional, respectful of our home, always there when they said they would be, good communicators, and most importantly, there were no major surprises that had not already been addressed to our timeline or budget. Even now after the project has been completed, Jim always returns our calls and promptly responds to our questions. Would certainly hire them again!

We had Cream City remodel two full bathrooms. Both were complete tear outs. The project was very involved due to the historic old house. Cream City made the whole process easy for us. They stayed on time and on budget. The creative way they found to access the work site allowed us to not really even “feel” the construction going on in our home. They kept the area clear of any debris, were very respectful of our home and our space. The end results are exactly what we had hoped for, beautiful and better functioning for our family.

I would highly recommend CCC to anyone looking for quality build/remodeling.they were very professional, receptive to our input and gave courteous feedback based on their experience when appropriate. they also were very easy to communicate with and were prompt with their responses even for very small questions.most importantly, they were very organized and kept to their planned schedule, even when there were setback/scheduling issues from subcontractors, which is extremely common. based on our previous experiences with other remodelers and from other experiences we have heard from friends, this is extremely rare in the build/remodeling business.in hindsight, we wish we would have used them for all of our previous remodel projects and will definitely use CCC for any future projects.

I interviewed several companies to do a partial remodel of my kitchen, mainly removing an old island and replacing it with something beautiful and modern. After talking with Jim with Cream City, it was clear they had the best customer service. Jim and his team were very professional with excellent communication and attention to detail. He walked me through the process from start to finish with timelines and what to expect. Jim was always willing to meet on site to discuss the details. He did an excellent job managing all the different trades required throughout the remodel. Cream City works very hard to ensure their customer’s satisfaction. I love my new kitchen with gorgeous woodwork, sleek appliances, and quartz countertops. Would recommend to a friend! I plan to work with them on future projects.

I have worked with cream city many times over the past 20 years on both large and small projects. The projects have included a complete kitchen remodel, remodeling of two bathrooms, replacement and upgrading of a front porch and walkway, installing a “hidden TV, remodeling a mud room, and most recently, replacing a custom manufactured oriel window and remodeling a master bedroom. Throughout all of these interactions, Cream City has consistently provided extremely high quality customer service and has been very responsive to our questions and requests. Jim’s designs have blended into the character of our 1920s era Tudor so well that they look like they have always been there. Additionally, the quality of their work has withstood the test of time with no issues having occurred in any of their construction efforts, the oldest of which is now more than 20 years old.I have found Cream City to be one of the best companies I have ever worked with and could not more highly recommend an organization.
