Castor’s plumbing was a great experience. We had an exterior water back flow balance issue. I called around and Castro Plumbing was quick to respond. Their plumbers came out same day. After assessing the issue, a solution was offered which we agreed to proceed. Plumbing services are never an inexpensive home project for the home owner but when you have a leak, it has to be fixed. I feel that I paid a fair price for the speed of resolving the issue. Their office staff was super professional and helpful. I would be willing to call them again. Highly recommend!

Ms Marla called me back shortly after missing my call, after first reaching out. She was very friendly and helpful, and was able to send out someone to my home to look at my problem and provide estimate that same day, and agreed on a later service appt date based on availability. The 2 men who came very just as friendly and nice, very professional. They did a great job figuring out the problem. They were only here to provide and estimate, but offered to do the job, once here, since it wasnt anything that required much time or work, which I was extremely appreciative for, considering it was already evening and unplanned. Its hard finding people who actually want to work these days. So, I was very pleased with their service, overall, and will definitely use them for any future plumbing needs.

Contacted Castro’s plumbing on Wednesday and they were at my house Thursday morning. We didn’t know where the leak was coming from but the guys who showed up were quick to assess based off of the damage is was causing. They were very professional and not quick to break in to the walls to see where the leak was coming from as I had suspected it was a bathtub. The leak was actually a clogged pipe in our AC unit and they were able to unclog it. We are not from the RGV area but are fortunate to have found a trustworthy and honest plumber to come out and get the leak fixed in a timely and professional manner.

My home’s water heater lasted for 14 years but gave up about 3 weeks ago on a Saturday morning. Yup a weekend day. My son down from College Station on a short visit with his family took a shower but found only cold water. He left for home around noon. I went to the garage and opened the circuit breaker box and found the water heater circuit breaker tripped. I turned it off then back on. Instantly it tripped again. So I again turned it off.Next Week opened the door to the small raised cubicle that held the water heater.I immediately heard water dripping. I turned on my phone light and spied water dripping down from the bottom of the water heater next to the water heater drain. The water in the 3” drain pan was then running out through the pan’s escape line to the outside. I climbed up into the water closet and turned off the water inlet.Dang. Now what.I already had all the information I needed on make, size and where I could buy a water heater.Still I remembered that I had planned on replacing the heater about a year ago. It appeared at that time that I had limited hot water. (My daughter had recently returned home after a divorce and she took a lot of showers)My daughter moved out last year and I found out that my wife and I still had hit water for showers every day so I put off replacing it then.Bow i had no choice.I let my fingers do the walking as I searched for a reputable plumber.I spoke to one who quoted a price of $1700 to replace the water heater.I told him I could buy the exact same water heater at The Home Depot and I could get a veteran’s discount to boot. The guy told me you buy it and we’ll install it for $670.I called a plumber friend who had done work for me in Laredo, Texas. I told home and he said that a plumber could or should take out and replace the whole old water heater for around $200.Well now I have aa concerned that I could buy the water heater but I would be over charged by the plumber I had called. So there i am at Home Depot and I found out that yes they had the exact heater I needed and yes they would give me a 10% Veteran’s discount but they wouldn’t sell it to me if I used them to install it.Some rigamarole about the plumbing outfit having to send someone out to my home see the old heater and then give me an estimate for the installation.Dang it.I called up plumbers on my cell phone and then began to call everyone on the list.Good lord. They all wanted around $700 to pick up the water heater at the Home Depot, haul it to my house and then install it and then carry away the old heater.I went down the list calling and receiving the same guesstimate from each plumbing company.I finally called Castro’s plumbing and spoke with a very nice young lady. I told her the story. She was helpful but she really didn’t want to estimate costs without sending someone to see the old heater in situ.I pressed her and said are you all so busy that you can turn me down. She then spoke with her boss. She returned and said he can install it for $400.I told her “ask him if $300 was ok?”She then told me that her boss said $350.I said sold.I asked her if her guys could pick up the heater at Home Depot? She said we don’t work with Home Depot as they keep our guys waiting for hours even when it’s been paid for.Dang. Another bump in my path.I told her that I would buy the heater and stand buy at the store and physically put my hands on the heater and wait for them to arrive. She said “okay and that they were finishing up a call and then would head to Home Depot.”I hung up and then went to the customer service desk and a very nice young lady rang up my purchase. She made sure the Military discount went through and gave me my paperwork. She called over a make floor clerk and asked him to please bring up front my water heater.I asked the young man to meet me at the customer delivery area with it.I went out to my Honda minivan.I moved all the stuff in the cargo area up front. I lowered the rear seats into their storage area. The plumbers installed it just fine

One of the pipes to the water main broke and water was gushing into the alley. The city came out and declared it was on the customers side which meant they werent responsible and I needed to call a plumber. Castro Plumbing had someone onsite within an hour, and a repair crew arrived and repaired the problem within two hours. Great customer service and the reason Im a repeat customer!

Very professional and offered alternatives to unclogging drain. Previous plumber wanted to break down concrete and walls. Castros plumbing offered alternatives before breaking any walls or concrete. Highly recommend
