Residential Generator………My overall experience with BMW on a new residential generator was exceptional! I highly recommend them. You may find a better price, but you won’t find better workmanship and service. Worth every penny.Patrick was very thorough explaining everything during and after the sales process. Amber did a super job with regular communications and effective coordination. They made the purchasing and installation process very easy.The guys did a terrific job with the installation too. Worked hard from the moment they arrived. Courteous, professional, efficient. A very clean job. They have the A Team on installation.Thanks for everything. Recently purchased a 22K Briggs-Stratton whole house generator from Bay Motor Winding. What a great team of professionals from Patrick the owner to the installers. Patrick guided me through all of the options, site survey , options and pricing. Answered all of my questions. When the install began I found his team was highly skilled and personable. They kept me informed of everything they were doing and how they were doing it. I am very pleased with this whole process and highly recommend this team of professionals to anyone looking for a generator.

Working with Bay Motor Winding has been an absolute pleasure. We purchased a whole house genset and the whole process was flawless. Patrick came to our home and assessed all of the power needs my wife and I had. The sales team and installation crew definitely put customers first. The scheduling, communication, and customer care was second to none. Ive been so impressed with their service, Ive consulted with Patrick on a project for my company. I can’t say enough good things about Bay Motor Winding. In addition to sale and installation of whole-home generators, they also provide excellent service for major electrical problems in your home – or rather, ‘outside’ of your home, such as your meter and main breaker box – at surprisingly competitive rates. They don’t do general electrical work inside your home such as installing ceiling fans, but if you have a problem with your meter, main breaker panel, etc., they are the company to call.I purchased a whole home generator from Bay Motor Winding a few years ago, just before Hurricane Zeta. Yes, it was an investment, but for us it has been worth every penny. To date, I have 90 hours on that generator, and in this South Mississippi heat it has been a lifesaver to have air conditioning when the power goes out. Being able to make coffee, have TV and lights, and not having to worry about food in the freezer thawing is obviously a plus as well.This week I discovered I had a dangerous problem with a breaker in the main panel next to my meter. It had apparently been arcing for some time, causing my lights to flicker and my air conditioner to fluctuate. I knew this repair would be somewhat involved because the generator is tied into all of this, so I called Patrick (one of the owners) at Bay Motor Winding to ask him about it, not realizing that his company routinely does this type of work. He said he would be out to have a look asap.As a retired firefighter, I knew this was a serious situation that could easily cause a fire. Worse, I know this type of fire can go unnoticed until it’s well advanced because the most likely path is the attic space.Patrick is aware of this as well, and he came to my house that evening. He made a temporary repair that would eliminate the chance of a fire, worked with the city to obtain an emergency permit, and had a crew out first thing the next morning to replace my meter box, breaker box, all related wires and breakers, and properly tie everything back together to my generator. This also brought that part of my electrical service in this 50 year old house up to current code requirements.The crew literally worked non-stop in 96-degree heat - no lunch break, no sitting around talking on their phones. This was the same experience I had a few years ago when BMW installed my generator. When these guys show up, theyre there to work.They started working around 8 a.m. and were finished before 2 p.m. This included them having to wait for the power company to disconnect (and later reconnect) the service, and for the building inspector to approve the work. In addition, they discovered my solenoid/starter was going out on the generator, and they replaced it on the spot in about 10 minutes (at no charge, because the generator came with a 10-year warranty). They also installed a main cut-off for my natural gas line at the house, so that in an emergency I wouldn’t need to wait for someone to shut my gas meter off.This company and their employees are professionals and their rates are competitive. I highly recommend them to anyone needing this type of work - or if you’re in the market for a generator. I’m confident you will not be disappointed.I didnt get very good photos before or of the finished project, but you can probably get the idea from these.

A++++!! Its impossible to say enough good things about this company! Patrick and everyone weve met along the way have been AMAZING! In addition to a generator install, we decided to add a battery backup to our existing solar system now that the technology for batteries has vastly improved. From day 1 we have worked together and will continue to do so. Dont call anyone else.... call Bay Motor Winding!!!!

I just commissioned my second generator in my 20 year relationship with Bay Motor Winding, having moved the first diesel one (still in perfect running condition) to my sons house. For the newest generator, Patrick was absolutely fantastic in every aspect of selection, engineering for my needs, and installation, including concrete slab and all electrical transfer switch work. He even recommended an excellent master plumber to install all the piping for my dual fuel system (both propane and natural gas compatible generator). Excellent service this time, and all through the years with my diesel generator. Highly recommend this company for whole house generator purchase and install.

Patrick is always responsive and full of knowledge. I had an emergency when my lift station went down. Ned was very responsive to my needs and kept me updated throughout the repairs. His self and his guys were friendly and professional. It is rare to get this type of service anymore. Highly recommend!!!

After no small amount of researching backup power systems and local contractors, I decided on a Briggs and Stratton generator / transfer switch and Bay Motor Winding as my contractor of choice. The first step was pouring the concrete pad, and the company owner generously offered to let me use his mixer for the job, thus saving a little $. The next phase of the project, the actual installation of the automatic transfer switch and generator, went as smoothly as could be expected. I was impressed with the technical capabilities of the Bay Motor Winding install crew and their efficient job execution. They had to work through a couple of unforeseen technical issues that were electrical code related (deficiencies on my end), but this proved to be a minor setback and again, they proceeded through the installation with professional aplomb. Once the installation was done, their service technician stayed behind with me for system familiarization, which for what it’s worth, is very simple and straight-forward (note: I later spent time with the user’s manual for reinforcement of what the technician and I discussed).Bottom line: I’m extremely pleased with the backup generator system I’ve had installed and my dealings with the Bay Motor Winding team.

Im pretty sure I am their only customer, because whenever I have a problem with my lift station, Ned makes me feel like I am his only customer. Which is important when dealing with poop problems, because poop problems are the worst problems. He is knowledgeable and proficient. He works with you to try to troubleshoot and avoid costly repairs. Thats integrity. I dont usually leave reviews, but my experience with Bay Motor Winding has been so consistently positive over the years (10+) that I feel compelled.I own a small campground in Ocean Springs and we have 3 lift stations. When we are full of campers, we operate like a small neighborhood. Thats a lot of poop. The move to 3 phase pumps was one of the best things we ever did, (thanks Ned). He suggested it a long time ago and it has saved us countless $$$ over the years, even though it was money out of their pocket!Please do not use Bay Motor, as I would like to continue to be their only customer!

I have had a business relationship with Bay Motor Winding for over 20yrs, the onething that comes to mind is that I can call Ned or Pat Benvenuti and ask them a question about any type of motor, generator, VFD, pump etc and they either have the answer or will do the footwork to find out and are great about following up. It is a great advantage to be able to have Bay Motor Winding as a resource and at the same time support a locally owned family business

Took an electric motor in because it would not run. There was a very nice and helpful lady working there and her name is Mary. She figured out there wasnt anything wrong with my motor and concluded it had a defective capacitor. I was prepared to spend 300 to 500 dollars but it only cost me 15 dollars. Finding someone who specializes in helping people is next to impossible. Our society is filled with people who want to make a quick buck and has little interest in solving problems and helping others, this place is the exception. Mary got some tools and went out of her way to figure out what the issue was. If I ever need an electric motor then these fine folks at Bay Motor Winding will get my business.
