    I don’t impress easily, Mario Castello and his team were awesome . From the initial call to Paola to the final city inspection they were remarkable. Everything went smoothly and on time as was discussed. A special shout out to Bryan and Aron, my technicians. They came on time, assessed the work to be done and went right to it. My new electrical circuit panel was installed before dark along with the re-stucco. For reasonable rates, professionalism and a personable group of people I highly recommend.

    Had my panel upgraded to 200 amp and had them add some outlets inside also. George, Edgar and Aaron did an outstandingjob. They were courteous and professional and answered all my questions.I was in contact with Liz in the office and there was a communication issue which she took care of asap with no issues.They handled all the permits and the owner Mario wasthere for the final inspection with the city inspector.Planning on doing more business with them in the future.So if your looking for an electrician do not hesitate.

    Rudy and the whole team at Mario Castillo Electric were fantastic. They did a great job of expediting my electrical panel upgrade as my home insurance was going to be cancelled if I did not get it changed in three weeks time. The office staff was great with scheduling and the guys were great in getting the work done in a professional manner. They showed up on time, left a clean workspace and did a great job with the city in getting the permit and final inspection done.

    I cant recommend this company enough! Amazing team to help you with whatever project you want to get done! I had to call them to replace a electrical box in my condo and they helped with all the necessary information to give to the HOA and made that process a breeze .     Ive been very happy with their work. They installed a Tesla charger for me in the past and just relocated an outdoor outlet for me. Rudy was the tech who came out and helped me and he was top notch and professional with his work and the completion of the job done in a timely manner. Id recommend the company.

    It was a pleasure working with Mario Castillo Electric. I got a service panel upgrade, new subpanel and EVSE hardwire install. I had done a bunch of pre-planning, so had a solid vision for almost every aspect of the project, from electrical loads on the house to preferred wire runs in attic and crawl space (to avoid plumbing and a bunch of exposed conduit), even had a preference on panel models. I wanted a company willing and able to marry the vision with their expertise. Marios crew knocked it out of the park. From their salesperson to office personnel to the electricians crawling around under the house, they all communicated, respected the vision, showed me where it needed improving and completed the project a day early and looking better than I had envisioned. I didnt see a single shortcut they took, in fact a couple times, they went out of their way to better conceal wires when it would have been easier and quicker not to. I think quality workmanship is cosmetically pleasing and this crew really impressed me with both.

    Quick with communication from the initial call to the diagnosis. A lot of information about what they will do for your job is provided during the free estimate. After getting the quote it was quick to book the technician for the job. Johnathan installed a new outlet for our bathroom and rewired an existing light fixture in record time. Mario Castile provides great reports summarizing the successful completion of the work done. If you’re looking for some electrical work then give them a call.

    Simply the best! Jonathan and Rudy showed up early for our appointment and took care of installing an outdoor outlet for our home leak detection system.     My name is Manuel. I found this electric repair company (Mario Castillo Electric Inc.) from Yelp information. I e-mailed them and got response quickly from them. It sounds like very good with estimates and other services. I decided to hire them. They already understand that I am deaf customer. We did get along well to communicate each other. We used with Video phone thru sign language interpreter. I am happy with the staff. Also the electrician installed new two junction boxes well before I switched from old fluorescent light fixtures to new LED light fixtures myself. It is perfect match connection before my former electrician installed old fixture that is very poor installment. I frustrated with it. Mario Castillo Electric Inc is honest and good price business. I recommend if you need to hire the electrician, get this company.

They return calls with a time and date also sends you notice when the tech is on his way. They never have to come back redo a job that they have done.     Im totally happy with Castillo Electric and the Level 2 EV charger they installed for us. Our panel is at the rear of the house so the 220V run was quite long and partial slab and lack of attic space required some creativity. The job was completed in one day during which the owner visited the site several times. They cleaned up well and handled the city permit. I would absolutely use them again.

    Over the years, I’ve dealt with a few electricians and can say without question, Mario Castillo Electrical have been by far the best. I had some upstairs lighting that would intermittingly flicker, sometimes turning off/on. I’d changed out the wall switch and replaced the breaker on the circuit, but the problem continued, so after looking thru Yelp reviews, I called MCE. They scheduled an appointment for the very next day, following up with an email conformation, including a form explaining the service for me to accept/decline. The next day, I received a text stating their tech was on his way and showed up right on time. Marcos was super friendly & professional, asking me questions to better understand the issues I was having. After opening up and checking various outlets/switches, he followed me downstairs to the breaker box, removed the access panel and ran some tests. Marcos said he’s come across this issue many times and was confident he found the problem. We went upstairs and all the lighting/outlets were working properly again. He said if any issues/concerns come up, just give them a call. Great service, reasonable rates, I highly recommend them…and Marcos too!

    Used Mario Castillo to replace my old Zinsco Panel and install a 240V 30Amp outlet nearby. Pricing was decent but the professionalism was above and beyond. Process was also pretty quick. Mario came out to inspect and give me a quote then Anthony and Ricardo came out to do the install. Mario was quick and Anthony and Ricardo were fantastic. Answered all my small questions, installed everything safely while explaining the process beforehand, and left my walls in good shape for painting.     Mario Castillo Electric was great! Early this year, we needed to install LED lights in our ceiling. We contacted Mario Castillo via phone and requested a quote. The personnel was very polite and knowledgeable and provided a very competitive quote within a few minutes. On the day of the service, the technicians arrived on time and completed the job quickly and professionally.     My husband and I used Mario Castillo for a whole house re-wiring with a new electric panel and a sub panel in the garage. Even though this was a huge project, they finished on time & on budget!!!!Everyone we spoke to was professional and knowledgeable. Giovanni did the initial consultation and provide the estimate. The estimate was extremely detailed and covered even things we hadnt thought about. Giovanni was also the first to point out that we would be best served not staying on site during the rewire.     Absolutely impressed with Mario Castillo Electric. They came out this past Friday 7/22 to my home in Wrigley to upgrade my Electric Panel to a 200A and add a few amenities to our yard. They relocated out panel and brought it to code to pass city inspection, along with that they dug a trench and added a 50A sub panel for a Spa we are waiting to be delivered in late August.     The folks at Mario Castillo Electric replaced our old electrical panel with new 200A service and installed an EV charger at our house. We got several estimates, and theirs was not only the best price, but also provided the most detail. They were really good about scheduling visits and communicating estimated arrival times. They installed the 240V outlet for the EV charger, but the charger itself hadnt arrived (I ordered it from Amazon), and they were accommodating enough to come back and mount the charger when it arrived.Excellent service.     I needed to upgrade my service panel and add a couple of outdoor outlets at my home. I contacted Mario Castillo Electric and asked for price quote on the scope of work. We set up a time to meet and Mr. Castillo himself came out to review the work. He gave me a ballpark on the spot and sent me a formal quote via email. I had a few questions which he quickly answered.     I highly recommend Mario Castillo Electric. I had a hard time finding a company that could upgrade my breaker panel in a timely manner. One company fell through, but I think I dodged a major bullet with them. It was just $100 cheaper than Mario, and I think it would have been a disaster. Mario’s team did it quickly, and they were very affordable and professional the whole time. Everyone was really nice and helpful. Two guys did the bulk of the work, and another guy came to finish up the drywall. A coordinator came by to check on things, and then Mario came near the end of the job to double check everything looked good. It was overall a positive experience. I’m glad I found them, and would definitely use them again.

This company was less expensive than other electric quotes I got, and were also so impressive with how efficient they were in their communications with me.     I cant tell you how pleased I am with this company. I searched to exhaustion looking for the right company who could combine quality work with competitive pricing. Mario provided both and more. The reviews on this company are legit. They replaced my old electrical panel and did a great job advising and walking me through the process. Liz did a great job walking me through the billing process and I love the ease of texting and electronic estimate approval. Once we approved the estimate, we were pleased with how quick our job was scheduled. The only criticism I had about the panel job is they did not dispose of the old panel. They redid all the electrics in our bathroom efficiently and effectively. Their recommendations were spot on.The electrician was professional, swift and competent. We had recessed lights installed by a handyman. The handyman damaged the AC thermostat. The recessed lighting that he installed with two dimmer switches flickered. The electrician from Mario Castillo Electric Inc fixed both the issues quickly and efficiently. He also checked to make sure there were no fire hazards. Ill definitely use them again in the future for my Electric needs. The price was very reasonable as well.

    After calling a few other electricians and finding either exorbitant fees to come out, not returning my call, or up to a four month lead time (seriously? Who is waiting four months to fix an electrical issue??? I dont buy it.), I found these guys on yelp and they had good reviews so I called. They answered their phone on the first call, and scheduled an electrician to come out within 48 hours. Unlike some other places where it seems youre calling someones cell phone who may or may not call you back because theyre out on the job all day, this company seems to have staff that are dedicated just to answering calls and scheduling service. The fee was fair in my opinion ($275 to come out and fix the problem and if they couldnt fix it that day, they wouldnt charge the $275 and instead give me a quote and come out later). Communication was great in those 48 hours. They gave me a one hour window (yes, only one hour!) and arrived on time. The electrician they sent was great. He was friendly, explained everything, answered all of our questions, and fixed the issue. The only thing I wasnt told upfront was that I wouldnt be able to pay the electrician on the spot with a credit card. To pay the electrician, it must be cash or check, so to pay with a card, you have to wait for the bill to be emailed to you and then there is a credit card surcharge. Had I known that, I wouldve brought a check and saved myself the surcharge (this was at my moms house so I didnt have a check with me). So that would have been good info to know up front. But the bill came, I paid it online through their secure payment system, and they followed up with me to make sure I was happy with the service. I definitely was. Highly recommend this company and hopefully no more electrical issues for us, but if there are, I would certainly use them again.

    Mario provided the umbeatable quote and Jorge & Rudy were staffed for the job. They were clean and methodical when it came to adding a 200 AMP panel and new circuitry to a 1950s house. Where other subs (who will not be named) chewed up my drywall, Marios team (MC) surgically ran new conduits, GFCIs 64 recessed lights for my property and kept the drywall cutouts for drywall repair (some subs will throw away the drywall cuts leaving more work and $ spent on drywall repair). These guys did the job where other subs either turned down the job or made unprofessional comments saying I had too many recessed lights. MCs crew did the work, kept trash in organised piles and cleaned up after themselves each day. For consideration I am already planning phase two to request MC for additional electrical work.I have 20 years construction management background and I have worked along side electrical contractors such as Rosendin Electric, Sasco etc. Mario Castillo electric is competitive for pricing, execution, and customer service.Tip* have your electrical plans ready and know precisely what you want to make sure everyone is on the same page.

    After shopping around multiple electricians for servicing the South Bay, Mario gave us one of the most competitive quotes for an electrical panel upgrade. We just moved into our home and were debating which electrical upgrades to prioritize, so I asked Mario for a quote for multiple items and they were flexible to let us finalize the day of the work. We even were able to add on a couple of light fixtures day of that weren’t originally in scope!     We recently contracted with Mario Castillo Electric for the installation of 2 ceiling fans and an 8 light living room ceiling fixture. Mario came initially for the quote and was highly professional and a pleasure to meet with. Due to a very slow delivery on a ceiling light fixture it took about two months before we could move forward with project. They were patient and gracious with the slow timeline. Our electrician was Sergio and he was excellent, he arrived on time (or actually a bit early) and was kind and professional throughout the visit. There were a couple unexpected issues with the ceiling fans, but Sergio was able to work around the unexpected findings and obtain a perfect install. The light fixture turned out to be a complex assembly and was made from low quality material (I made a mistake and purchased it from a non reputable company). Sergio was able to assemble and install the low quality fixture and then we learned it was not dimmable as we had wanted and as it was described online. None of that was Sergios fault and he even installed a switch to allow us to use the light fixture until we could decide on a replacement. Even though this took a good amount of time and effort, Sergio did not charge us at all for the work related to the ceiling light. We still havent decided on a new fixture, but would be grateful and happy if Sergio returned to install it. Great company and great technicians/electricians. Will definitely use them again and recommend them highly.

    A well-deserved 5 star rating.I hired Mario Castillo and crew to re-wire my house and install a sub-panel in my garage over the summer of 2020 and couldnt have been happier with the Mario, his team, and the results. Throughout every step of the process I was informed of timelines, effort, budget, and schedule. I would be sent text messages and emails with appointment times; Mario would always show up on-time - if not early - every time. Mario showed up for an estimate and laid out options for work. I was sent over an estimate that weekend.Marios team was slammed with work over the summer and was able to schedule my home to be started in just a few weeks. Luckily for me, they work fast and offered to start on my project a week sooner. Marios team was full of competent and experienced employees. On the first day of work I anticipated them to come in and get a lay of the land and let me know timelines -- instead Hector and Victor immediately got to work at drilling holes to rip out the existing wiring. They were incredibly nice and respectful of all of our personal belongings. We tried to make their lives as easy as possible by covering our floor with the painters paper suggested by Marios email and covering our belongings with plastic to ensure dust doesnt get into everything. I gave Hector the keys to the house and he gave me a phone call every week to update me on the progress made and work left. Mario stopped by frequently to check-in and talk with me about the project.They wrapped up the project sooner than expected, and scheduled the city to come out and inspect their fine work. As expected, their work passed on the first inspection and Ive been using electricity without worry ever since. I couldnt recommend Mario Castillo Electric enough for any of your electrical needs.

    We were very impressed by the quality of the work, how each item in the quote was addressed thoroughly, and the courtesy of the electricians who were onsite. They worked hard all day and into the evening to be sure all was completed and we were not left without power to any of our circuits. The work was moving all the house circuits from the original electrical panel to a new panel. When they were finished each of the circuits in the electrical panel now had a label (yeah!) which was a huge improvement from the jumble that had evolved over the years with previous owners and renovations.In addition, they did the needed stucco repair work after moving the original panel. It was a quality repair and now just needs to be painted. No other quote from an electrical company included the stucco repair which saved us money and time in trying to bring in yet another contractor to truly complete the work.We have found the company we will be using for any future electrical work.     Chose Mario Castillo because of many of the positive reviews. I can add ours to this list. Handled our need for a subpanel replacement very promptly and in the time table that fit our schedule. George who came to do the replacement was great. Some extra work had to be done to fit the new subpanel, George and Edgar carefully enlarged the spot and plastered nicely over the enlarged cutout they had to make. They even moved the support beam for a shelving unit that was in the way. Took extra time but they took the time and care to do the job completely. Job well done.

    I called Mario Castillo electric on a Friday Afternoon as I had lost power to all my electrical outlets in my home kitchen and bedroom. He actually answered his phone, no answering machine, amazing. I told him my problem, he said he was on a job and he would be able to come by Monday Morning. He came as scheduled and spent a few minutes tracing my problem which turned out to be panel related. He explained everything to me and a solution, He was professional, courteous, and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend him.

    Marios guys are great. Very professional and friendly. Theyll warn you when its about to get noisy, which is a plus for those working from home. Clean wire and conduit installation and they even seal up the exterior with silicone after so you dont have to worry about later weather damage. That being said, they did crack our mount for the Nest doorbell because (it appears) they couldnt find the little tool that releases it.

    Excellent installation of the Tesla Wall Charger! I currently have a 6-50 outlet in one end of my garage. The crew extended the outlet to the front of the garage using emt conduit and hiding it as much as possible above my garage cabinets with professional results.
