Jayson Bunney went above and beyond to fix our electrical issue. After quickly pinpointing the problem, it was difficult to physically get to the wiring underneath our 130 year old home. However, he persisted and did an excellent job in a reasonable amount of time. We will request him for any future work to be done. We use Mikes for our furnace system as well. Excellent company.

Jayson Bunney, with Mike’s Mechanical, was an amazing help to our family. My elderly parents just moved into a new (to them) home and the electricity was a mess. They were able to schedule an appointment quickly, he arrived early and worked hard to get everything taken care of in a short amount of time. He was kind and knowledgeable. I can not recommend Mike’s Mechanical and Jayson Bunney enough!

Kevin came out this morning to service our Heater. Did a great job and while inspecting the filter mentioned we should use a different one or change this type more frequently. He mentioned which one to use so it will last between services. Once again very professional service and a great job by Kevin. We will see him again in the spring for maintenance on the AC.

Professional company, from their call center, to the scheduler, and definitely the technicians. They shared up front what the call out fee to assess the project would be and when they scheduled, the technician was on time. They communicated the progress of the part and anticipated install time. When the date came for the install, Justin came to put in our fan, he was on time, courtesy, and when I commented how he had completed the job sooner than expected, he said he saved time at our home, by assembling the part at the shop. For me as a remote worker, this was a value added to the service, because it meant limited interruption to my ability to provide my customers service. I will be a repeat customer!

Extremely happy. Decided to get a furnace for heat in my 1500sq foot finished basement so I did not have to rely solely on firewood. They came out very quickly after I called for a quote and had me scheduled very fast. The install started on a Monday and they were done by Thursday. Affordable, and very very clean. They cleaned as they went and at the end of every day there was ZERO mess. Very nice guys and communication is top notch. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Good report for the fine job in finding the issue and repairing our gas fireplace insert. The only minor request would be better communication on the arrival time. Expected between 1 and 4pm, so I called at 415 after no word. He was enroute, but the appointment ran til after 6pm, just nice to plan around.Service man was very thorough and cordial in spite of a long day. Thanks again.

I scheduled our yearly furnace inspection and I also scheduled the cleaning of all of my vents. I am so pleased with not only the service, but also the courteous, professional, and complete service. We highly recommend the residential electricians at Mike’s Mechanical. They made sure to include me on the placement of them, explain electrical things to me in laymans terms. They worked hard the whole time they were here. They even laid a tarp down over my dirt yard so as not to track it onto my deck. They cleaned up after themselves. Both were very personable and professional. This past Saturday we got back from a lovely week in Sandpoint with family and discovered our air conditioning had conked out. We came home due to the high heat forecast and wanted to stay on top of watering plants. We called and left a message with Mike’s Mechanical to call us Monday morning. They came out Monday morning, assessed our 37 year old unit had given up the ghost, met with Jeff around 1pm and ordered a new unit and praise be, they are here now (Weds) and installing it! I can not say enough on the service and care Mike’s Mechanical has provided. We have been lucky having a basement family room to retreat to but the care and service provided by Mike’s has been outstanding! Thanks again for taking care of us!

At 10 the service man called to ask if he might come early. In about 50 minutes the job was done. Calling early worked out for me today.

The structure, teamwork, responsiveness, turnaround, professionalism, communication, and overall service from you guys is not normal. I am a project manager for small company based out of Seattle that does projects all over the country and I have never experienced anything like what Mikes brings to the table. If you take this operation to CA (dont do that), you would put everyone within 300 miles out of business. Working with them is like entering an episode of the Twilight Zone. its scary how good they are. Jeff, Justin, Wendy, Lisa, Evan, I know I forgot a couple names, thank you all for making things so easy for me and my family. This is the best HVAC company I have ever worked with, full stop.

We got a bid and scheduled Mike’s Mechanical to come to the house to change out the electrical panel, remove a bird’s nest of old phone wire, replace several light fixtures, remove some old track lighting, and finish swapping the rest of the switches and outlets downstairs from cream to white (after we had finished repainting). This was the third time Jason and Casey from Mike’s have been to the house for electrical work and they are absolutely amazing craftsman. They finished the work in half the time, even with me getting in their way a little to watch and joke around. Everything done by the [code] book. And as always . . . we are absolutely thrilled with the results. We have used three other companies for electrical work prior to Mike’s, some good, some quite expensive for the services performed. But we are going to stick with Mike’s for electrical from now on. Highly recommended.We also got a bid and scheduled Mike’s Mechanical to come to the house for plumbing work to include putting a recessed drain in the wall of the laundry room and cap off the water supply since we decided to take out the sink, troubleshoot a leaking drain line from the kitchen sink, replace the drain piping under the kitchen sink and put in a new disposal, and replace the vanity in the downstairs bathroom. Shawn (Sean sp?) was the plumber that came to the house. A friendly guy that worked solo and none of the projects were very easy. At the end of the day we couldn’t be any more happy with the results and we definitely got our money’s worth. We highly recommend Mike’s Mechanical for any plumbing projects you might need done.

The dealer who sold me the unit pretty much sold me a bill of goods, multiple trips to repair it and a substantial amount of money spent by me to make it right. I have used Mikes mechanical for multiple plumbing issues over the years. They are always extremely friendly. I recently had Mikes replace a hot water tank for me. I was able to work with them and by doing some of the work myself, I was able to save a fair amount of money.Additionally, the contract for the installation included running a line for the expansion relief valve underneath my house. They werent able to install the line as stated in the contract because it would have run through structural joists. Because of this, I felt the original estimate should have been reduced because I wasnt receiving the service I had agreed to.Mikes had a plumbing manager check everything out, and confirm the line install wasnt possible so they reduced the install cost which I thought was fair. It took a while to get to this point which is why I docked one star. However, I appreciated how helpful and understanding the plumbing manager was.

Got a furnace installed yesterday. The day after I called for a quote, someone was at my house. they had a bid to me within two days and had I been ready, they would have been there to install within the week. The day I had our finances and paperwork in order they scheduled the install for the following day. The servicemen, Brian Kaye and Trevor were friendly, professional and so courteous. all the admin staff were so kind and helpful and the salesman, Paul was so responsive and answered all the questions I had and that is not a small number. I cant recommend Mikes enough. I will update if my furnace explodes or somehow they manage to undo the stellar impression they made but that seems unlikely.

Shout out to Mike’s Mechanical and their entire team. We needed a new hot water heater replaced. We got a quote done quickly and an appointment scheduled ASAP, so we didn’t go long without hot water. Communication was great. Their service tech Craig was timely, hardworking and efficient. From arrival to full install in a couple hours on a Friday.The week before we thought we needed a new range. It just stopped working. I called Mike’s to make sure we didn’t have a power issue before we bought a new stove. They came out quickly and diagnosed an electrical issue and fixed it on the spot. We needed a couple other things done in the house and Adam did a great job. On time and very efficient and friendly. Great work. Great team all around, from the front desk, sales and techs. We Highly recommend them.

I called Mikes. Only took a couple days to come by. Montana Mike was on his way over day one, engine failure in his work truck. Dispatch called me asap and made arrangements for next day instead. Montana Mike was pleasant and quick. Even with a borrowed truck with no parts aboard, he made a quick trip back to shop. Job done well. He gave me the Bill, I paid it. However, I thought the charge was excessive. $314 to replace the sink drain/ strainer. More than I was quoted. I called the shop and talked with Leo. He agreed the charge was perhaps a little too high. He promptly sent me a refund check for $72. I can live with that. I’d say pretty good customer service. Will call them again.

Have a gas heat stove that was cleaned recently, then a part went out on it a week later. A date was scheduled as soon as could be scheduled and the part was updated and the heat stove was working again (especially good since the weather is cold now). Awesome service! I had just bought a house and the previous owners installed a new water heater. Something wasnt right with that install and was making the pipes make this awful knocking sound when the water was turned off anywhere in the house. I called on a Thursday night and left a message and they were out at my house the next day. I was so impressed with the techs that were there to solve the issue in a very timely manner. They were very polite, friendly and even cracked a few jokes which made my day. I will definitely be using them in the future!

Jason was professional, timely, knowledgeable with a high attention to detail. Update: After initially getting be back up and running, I decided to have Mikes replace my two panels. It was the best decision Ive made in quite a while. Jason and Jase Groesbeck are masters of their craft and finished the job ahead of schedule, taking extra efforts to not damage the drywall. In the end, they not only resolved my concerns of electrical failures, but added value to our property and left an ascetically pleasing result. I’ve had several interactions with the folks at Mike’s over the past month. First of all, Matt came to figure out why my A/C was not working properly. He thought it might be the thermostat, but did not pressure me into having him install a new one. He graciously checked out the A/C unit and the level of “product.” I agreed to have Keith come and inspect my equipment and he gave me a bid. After I’d accepted the bid I had second thoughts and told him I felt I needed a second opinion. He did not try to talk me out of it, but said, “when you get another bid I’d be happy to go over it with you just to make sure you are comparing apples to apples.” He walked me through all the aspects of the new equipment and I felt comfortable having Mike’s install a new furnace and A/C unit. Dan and Don came early in the morning on the warmest day of the year and those two worked all day, along with other men and installed everything in one day. They respected my space and left no trace of having been here. Last week John came to clean out my ductwork and actually installed a mesh screen over the whole in the floor – an added service I did not expect. Upon having as issue with a crack in our heat exchanger and our whole system had to be replaced, heating and air. The techs were great and went out of their way to get ours done in the middle of winter and made time to make sure we were safe with our problem that could leak carbon monoxide into the dwelling. So we got a very quick appt to be fixed. Upon startup in the spring, we had an issue with our fan making some noise, Mark G, service manager came out himself, troubleshot issue and had a tech come and make some fixes on our installation and the tech went out of his way to make sure the fix was the best it could be and honestly it was over the top good. Mark G, service manager then came out again himself and personally checked everything and will take care of a motor he thinks is not working correctly. The main point is that when there was an issue, Mark G, was on top of it and took care of us, and honestly it couldnt have been any better. If there is anyone I can honestly recommend due to first hand experience, its Mikes and Mark G. Its nice to know that customer service like that still exists.

Mikes Clarkston branch recently installed a new heating and cooling system for us, replacing a heat pump, electric furnace and AC with a gas furnace and AC. The installers were prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. At the end of the installation there was a noise issue with the blower. The install technicians were unsure what to do, but a quick email to our sales guy, Keith (who was awesome to deal with), and Mikes had two of their senior staffers out within minutes to fix it. One even came back the next day to install a better quality filter and to make the door fit tighter. We feel the entire team went the extra mile to make our install a success.

They were able to add us to the schedule to add a pressure reducer to our water line which was done the next morning. Great job by both technicians who did the work. These guys really know their job and were very friendly, even when “old house” complications arose. Since I was home during the duration of the job, we even enjoyed a laugh or two. They do good work and I can usually expect same day service for problems, but beware they have a HUGE mark up in the parts. For example we were charged $179 for a part to fix the water heater, and the same part is advertised online for $39.00 or so. Im sure they all have a big mark up, though.
