    Having 7 kids at home and having your water heater suddenly stop working is not my idea of a good time. When I called, Keith and his brother arrived within 2 hours to scope out the horrid situation. We were given options and realistic quotes that fit into our tight family budget. The next day, our water heater arrived and was installed, all while my 12 year old was asking millions of questions and serenading Keiths brother with his tuba (if that says anything about their professionalism, then I dont know what does). Not even 24 hours from the placement of my call did I have my whole family bathed utilizing the new water heater. I would 100% recommend this company and plan to use them in the future.

    Keith did a great job of working with my insurance company to help them understand how my old system failed resulting in a good portion of my new system being covered. My new system is a high efficiency combi-boiler that also replaced a 17 year old water heater tank. The instant hot water is wonderful and Im looking forward to lower gas heating bills next winter. There were some control issues uncovered when starting up the new system but Keith and his team worked doggedly to resolve them. While he was at my house he noticed an outdoor hose connection was leaking and he took care of that too. Keith and his team have a lot of professional pride and it shows in their work.

    Keith and David were very responsive when our well pump quit working recently. They had us back up and running within a couple of days. Unfortunately, the wind chills caused the capacitator on the new pump to freeze up but again Keith and David were on it. Keith drove all the way to Traverse City on a Sunday morning to get our new part and had us back in service a couple of hours later. I would recommend these guys for any of your plumbing issues! Update....yesterday, I called Keith to ask if he knew anyone in the area that could plow my driveway. Keith was at my house within 30 minutes and blew out my driveway with my snowblower! As a disabled veteran I cant tell you how much that meant to me. Talk about above and beyond! We tried to offer him money and he refused to take it. This man really does take care of his customers!

    Keith and Ty came out within an hour of us calling after our AC unit was not working. They answered our call and were so prompt and professional. We instantly felt comfortable with their knowledge and professionalism… and just sheer kindness!! They were quick and thorough and were able to get our AC up and running perfectly! This company does it all, for any home repairs you may need. We were incredibly grateful for their prompt attention to our needs and their excellent prices.     HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION POSSIBLE! Our furnace went out on one of the coldest nights of the year this past February and I called Universal well after normal business hours. Within 45 minutes, Keith was out to take a look. Unfortuantely our 20-year old furnace needed to be replaced but Keith and team had a new one installed the very next day, in less than 24 hours of our initial call!They installed the new furnace and thermostat, removed the old one (even taking care to cover our new basement carpeting), followed up with several phone calls and visits to make sure everything was running as promised, and gave us a few useful tips (really) to lower our heating bills. The new furnace is great and we couldnt be more satisfied. Thanks, Keith & Team!

    Our furnace died. Keith set an appointment and was right on time. Veteran owned and run company, with discounts for vets. Keith took the time to show and explain what was wrong without technical jargon. He offered options without any hard sale tactics. He was more interested in doing right by us than making a quick sale. We decided instead of sinking money into repairs on a 20 year-old furnace, to have them install a new high-efficiency furnace for us. We have better warmth throughout the house than we did before, and are looking forward to the decrease in our energy bills. You can tell there is a lot of pride in how Keith and Cody did the installation. The old Lennox unit looked like a rats nest of wiring inside the furnace with gas supply pipes in odd locations that got in the way of changing the furnace filters. The new high-efficiency unit they installed is wired neatly with care and detail. Extra time was taken to move gas supply pipes so they would no longer interfere with filter changes. If you hire Keith, you arent just hiring a vet whose experience shows, you are hiring a craftsman.

    Universal Temperature Engineering installed a new furnace and air conditioning unit for us last week, and we could not be happier with their work. We originally called them out to look at a leak on the exterior of our house, which they found and solved quickly. While they were here, they discovered a crack in our furnace, which could have led to a very dangerous carbon monoxide leak! They were able to come back the very next day and install a whole new system for us, which was much appreciated considering the fact that we have a new baby in the house, so we needed to be able to use the furnace ASAP. Keith and his team were quick, clean, and professional. Thank you so much for the great work, and for keeping my family safe! Would highly recommend and use again in the future!

    Our boiler went out, we called Jack’s Heating and cooling. They said our boiler was shot and would cost $8500?to put a new cast iron standard low efficiency boiler in.We thought that was high so we googled a company called Temperature Engineering out of Lewiston, we noticed they had 5 star review so we called them for a second opinion to see if it was truly bad. They came out the next morning and verified it was bad. They quoted us $9700 for a High efficiency Combi boiler that does the heat and on demand hot water with a efficiency rating over 95%.Being we are on propane, we decided to go with the Navien Combi system for $1200 more! They were over $1000 less then Jacks for a cast iron boiler.Mr. Howard was very knowledgeable and gave us a great deal on the New System. They installed it within a few days, being it was an emergency. They did a very professional job!!! Works fantastic and we are looking for a huge savings in propane cost in the future. Big win in my eyes.We highly recommend Universal Temperature Engineering.If your looking for honest, knowledgeable and professional company with fair prices, they are the company we recommend.Thanks Dennis and Sherri.P.S. we are definitely warm now.

    Had a tree take out my power line over the weekend and it damaged the meter and pole on my garage, so the power company wouldnt turn my power back on until repaired. Keith responded to my call very quickly on a Sunday. He advised to wait until Monday to save money and even gave me a first time customer discount. He kept me updated on his progress throughout the day while I was at work and got it fixed quickly first thing on Monday.

    We had another company install our furnace and was installed incorrectly! Keith came out and fixed it for us and found our furnace was leaking a small amount of carbon monoxide!! He also gave us ideas on how to use our furnace efficiently to save more money on our gas bills and to heat our upstars which gets extremely cold in the winter. I will definitely use Universal Temperature Engineering again because the quote we got was less than the competitors!! Thank you so much Keith!

    Bought a house with a very old furnace I had Ute come out to go to service it and found out it was junk! Keith came out and installed a brand new high efficiency furnace, they were theyre right on time, they were highly professional and got straight to work, so far its been great very quiet. Pumps out allot of heat. I got a call from keith the next day and he answered some more questions and was wanting to know how everything was. I highly recommend Ute for heating and cooling

    Keith and Dave saved my day. I have a local cabin on AirBnB and the water heater elements burnt out. Of course this was late on a Sunday and Keith and Dave went out and repaired it no questions asked. They communicated throughout the whole process and even though I wasnt there to witness the repairs they treated my cabin like their own. I cant say enough about how great they are.

    I’ve had two heater/AC units Installed by this company for my business and home within the last two years, always Excellent service everything works wonderfully. They installed their new air filtration system , it’s unbelievable what a difference it made in the air quality the first day . Im excited to say I’m getting a new AC/Heating installed at my third property this month . I won’t go with any other company. Personally I go with whatever they recommend they’ve never steered me wrong, and the amount of money I’m saving on gas and electricity the system pays for itself . Highly recommend this company.

    After noticing a faint smell of natural gas escaping from the furnace through the external exhaust housing, I called Mr. Howard to further examine the matter. He quickly located all of the flaws of my poorly and improperly installed unit. Although I was upset by these discoveries, Mr. Howard competently relieved me of all of my worries and beautifully and professionally installed a new and highly efficient upgraded furnace...How can I say thank you for assuring my familys safety.

    Have to share my thoughts about this company.Decided to upgrade my boiler due to a small crack in one of the Chambers. Mr Howard suggested I consider a High Efficient On Demand Tankless Combination Navien system.They came in and removed my old boiler, which was the size of a Chevy compact car, and my old hot water tank.At first I was very skeptical after seeing the size of the new 2 in 1 Navien unit.Being I have a total of 4 heating zones.I must say, I am very happy with the performance of this system !!!Not to mention the constant hot water !!!Highly recommend U.T.E.Price was more than fair, and got a top notch install. Everything took place just as Mr. Howard had stated, in and out in 1 day !!!My utilities have went down tremendously.Thank you for a wonderful experience and job !!!Very happy and satisfied, system work great !!!

    I was blown away with thier knowledge and experience. I called and explained my issue over the phone. He quickly know what the issue was and was able to walk me through it over face time with me and my son. Over the phone in 5 minutes he was able to troubleshoot and fix the issue. I can only imagine how amazing his work is in person.I know my first call is to Universal Temperature the next time I need any HVAC work.     Keith and team have done an amazing job at our family cottage. He is someone that can do it all! He has helped our family with small and big jobs. Everything from rewiring electrical and installing a ceiling fan to helping us in a time of need when we had a pipe burst inside the cottage this spring. He can honestly do it all and doesn’t cut corners. At the end of the day, it’s about your family being safe with the work that was just done. It’s hard to put value on that, but Keith brings that value. Would recommend to everyone.
