    We have 1st generation geothermal furnace where our well and pump supply water to our furnace which extracts heat to either heat or cool our home. So literally, the pump is running non-stop 24/7. Our home is 25 years old. We moved in in February of 2013. The previous owner said that he just had a new well bladder installed just before we moved in, so we assumed we would never have to replace the plumbing or well bladder.Well, I came home after going to dinner and a movie on Saturday 3/23/2024 and was headed downstairs to play on the computer. But upon opening the door I heard a humming that I never head before and when opening the utility room door, I heard and saw water spraying from the well plumbing and had a 70% wet floor but not flooded. We found out that the 90-degree elbow at the bottom of the tank is cast iron and that there was a hole in it the size of my index finger causing the leak and food. I quickly shut off the well and turned the furnace thermostat off so that the furnace would not call for heat or running water and further muck up our problems.We cleaned-up the mess, hauled out wet items, furniture, boxes, totes, etc. and mopped up the water and used fans to dry out the floor. Got to bed after midnight but could not sleep, but finally found some Zzzs after 4:00 amSunday morning I called Bruce Johnson Plumbing at 7:45 am and got their phone machine so I left a message that we had an emergency and were without heat and water in the freezing weather.I had just called another plumber, they said that the well bladder was a special larger size that they do not carry (geothermal furnaces require the larger size well bladder for added pressure for the heat exchanger) and would have to pick one up Monday morning but that they could start Monday at 8:00 am. After hanging up with them, Greg from Bruce Johnson called us back and said that he had a large well bladder on hand and would come right out to our home to assess the situation. He arrived 15 minutes later and came right in and found the problem with the hole in the integral cast iron 90-degree elbow.So, he removed the old well bladder, went back to the shop to get the new one and was back in 30 minutes. He brought it down our hill as we have a walk out basement door and brought it in a dolly (in the snow without slipping or falling), installed it, got the plumbing back together and was done before 11:00 a.m.Greg was awesome, took his time and explained everything to me then to my wife. He took the time to explain how the pump and well bladder works in sync with the furnace and how the furnace operates with the geothermal.He was prompt, knowledgeable, friendly, polite, professional, a hard worker, and efficient and fast. He did not doddle or check his phone often.Having the well bladder on hand was a miracle as they had a customer lined up to replace their bladder, but the client cancelled on Thursday for their fathers medical problems and they could not keep the appointment, so they had the bladder just sitting there!!Cost wise, they were working on a Sunday, so its double-time, plus the emergency trip charge, so I knew that we would have to pay those charges, but we needed water for hygiene and for heat!!The previous plumber that I talked to on the phone gave me the cost for the well bladder and Bruce Johnsons cost was the same.I would most certainly recommend them for their experience, trust level, courtliness, fairness, knowledge, promptness and for their kindness and taking time to thoroughly explain every step that they were doing. He even offered to set the bladder on its side so that we could take pictures.Do not hesitate to call them for any of your needs. We will do so in the future.

    These folks have serviced our church for years. You usually get 3 quotes when you have a project. With them I am well passed the point of checking others quotes. We just have full faith and trust in them. No one wants to hear bad news. But with them you know your money is not going g to waste. Good people great service great name. Fair and balanced is the best compliment I can give.

    I have used many contractors, but this is the first time I used Bruce Johnson Plumbing. I was extremely pleased with the service provided. Blair and Greg were friendly, followed the timeline promised and were trustworthy. What I mean by trustworthy is they didn’t try to add service that wasn’t needed (which I have had other contractors attempt). I had asked for a faucet replacement, replacement of a valve, and replacement of my tub drain as water was dripping downstairs. The kitchen faucet and shutoff valve were quickly fixed. Blair said that it did not appear it was the drain leaking. Greg then took me to the basement to show me that there was rust on the outside of the tub and that I needed to reseal the tub, not replace the drain. He showed me the areas on the tub that needed sealing, recommended a quick drying seal and explained the proper way to apply. Everything was cleaned up nicely. I will not have to call around for my next plumbing job. GREAT JOB BLAIR AND GREG!

    My furnace is 21 years old and went out on a Thursday 30degree weather, Johnson came out figured out the problem. We decided it would be best to replace with a new furnance. The Johnson men and crew had a new furnance orderd and put in by Saturday 2 days later. While installing the new furnance noticed that my builder from 21 years ago never sealed the duct work correctly so they did that at no extra charge. Cleaned the areas where they were working and were very professional. My new Trane furnance has my home nicely comfortable and warm. I give this company a 5 star rating on all levels and would highly recommend them to do any home repairs that they are knowledgable in.

    I am so blessed to have had the Bruce M Johnson Plumbing Company come into my home and install a new furnace and hot water heater for me last May after the flood of 2020. I cannot sing their praises high enough. They were very professional as they worked, cleaned up extremely well behind them, and treated me with the utmost respect.
