Water leaks and damages are the worst thing that can happen to a residence. A single source can be devastating as the moisture can travel and be soaked up by the drywall in places you would never have expected. Black mold is so bad and probably my worst fears in home ownership. That is what happened to our home after our water heater leaked.The leak must have been happening for a while and unfortunately it travelled back into the house, under the vinyl flooring and all the way to the other end of the home. We were confused by the symptoms since the water travelled so far, and we already did a lot of preventative measures like repiping our lines 3 years ago. We initially called our repiping crew and was told that we should first confirm with a plumber/leak specialist. After discovering the root cause of our issue, we knew the next step was proper remediation followed by reconstruction.Most organizations specialize in one discipline like remediation or reconstruction but luckily for us, ServiceFirst Restoration was able to offer both. I am pretty sure with that efficiency alone, we were able to cut down on the overall time of the project and have our home restored in time for Christmas. In the event that we needed other specialists (like moving our built-in fridge temporarily), they always had contacts of vetted/trusted organizations that we were able to leverage.From start to finish, the project lasted about 2 weeks; 5 days for initial assessment, quote, demolition and drying and then about 4 days for the rebuild. We were assigned the same coordinator, Evelyn, for both aspects of the project which made it extremely convenient. Juan Paredes and his associate Rafa did a good job in removing our water-damaged cabinets without having to break the countertops. A great job, actually, because we didnt expect it to survive demolition work. Even better, he said he found no mold spread behind the walls despite our initial assumptions. They provided consistent updates throughout the day and definitely took care to keep everything clean and tidy, and I appreciate it.

I had nothing but a great experience with ServiceFirst Restoration. The coordinator Evelyn was commutative and on top of all the appointments that needed to be set up. The techs Danny, Elias and Juan went above and beyond to come later in the evening to check the remediation process and see if we can take the equipment down as soon as possible to get my kitchen sink back. You don’t know how much you miss your kitchen sink and dishwasher till it’s gone 😂. The whole staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and truly great. I know having a remodel or something like a leak and remediation is a stressful situation for all parties…. And as the homeowner they made it as effortless as they could . We hardly knew he was there, and he took care of everything seamlessly. He cleaned up the mess after removing the drywall and made sure to inform us about the treatment used to address the mole. I can’t say enough good things about the great job that Danny and Ricky did removing the flooring from my entire home. It was not an easy task because my condo was filled with furniture. They were unstoppable. Not only did they do a complete job, but they returned every piece of furniture to its original position, and left my home clean.Also an extra bonus was they were polite, courteous, and interested in doing the best possible job they could for me. Ivan and Antonio with backup from Miguel and Ruben reassembled our downstairs in one week: rebuilt cabinetry, drywall, carpet and baseboards. We appreciated Ivan’s schedule review letting us know the events of each day. Service First team followed the daily schedule. Knowing what needed to happen was key. One day, cabinetry components needed to be made in a shop. Some, without that knowledge, could get curious as to where everyone was but we knew before it happened. Each day Ivan and crew kept their word. My wife and I have already shared Service First’s contact information with two new water damage. Earlier, at the wet cleanup phase, can’t comment enough of Eveline’s ability to listen and put pieces in play to accommodate my wife’s health needs and our life schedule. Eveline set up the week’s worth of repair, which, as above described. Was flawless.Highly recommend the Service First team should you find yourself underwater.

This company was amazing. They showed up quickly. Allen was the first on scene. They were thorough. There was more water damage than I’d have ever dreamt. They did Not stop though until all moisture was discovered from this pipe that had suddenly burst while we were out of town. This company kept us informed about what was happening and what was going to happen next. They helped us with insurance as we’ve never had to file a water claim and just wasn’t familiar with the process. Evelyn was especially helpful. She helped assist us with insurance. To me, she went over and above what was required of her. We needed an adjuster assigned to our case and she was an integral part of making that happen. In January/February 2020 I had a huge leak in my bedroom/bathroom walls that also ran under my hardwood floor. What a mess!! ServiceFirst Restoration came to my rescue. Eric removed all the wet damaged walls and floors. With blowers and dehumidifiers dried out the whole area. Eric was professional, courteous, friendly and really knows his job. Next replacement of walls and paint. Service1st matched the paint perfectly. Last, and best part, the replacement of my floors. Marty took care of this for me. He is fantastic! He is very knowledgeable, friendly, fun to have on the job and installed my flooring in a timely manner and it looks beautiful!! He had my back the whole time. FirstService Restoration Inc was recommended by my insurance agent. I called her when my washing machine on the 2nd floor leaked. When I called them I was able to get on their schedule right away. Within 2 hours, Edgar and Daniel arrived, assessed the situation, gave me an estimate, and when I approved it, they started the work immediately. Matt called me to schedule them to pick up the equipment and make sure everything was dry. It was! Could not have asked for better service. Everyone was professional and friendly. Had an interior pin hole leak where we had to have large portions of the wall cut out! Thankfully the technicians cut out pieces carefully and saved them prior to putting in the drying fans and dehumidifiers. Nelson came back today after leak fixed and patched my drywall and matched my texture exactly and will paint Thursday. Made an upsetting mess over the holidays as painless and easy as possible. Nice and courteous and covid aware and compliant. This is the second time using Service First and will always recommend and use again if needed!

Evelyn was our coordinator for this restoration and repair project. She was always there to help and made the process effortless. Our job was not large but beause we were also dealing with our homeowners association it was a little more involved. As soon as I spoke with Evelyn everything seamed to fall into place and things started getting done. Service First sent Ivan to put our bathroom vanity back together and do the finishings touches with paint, baseboards, door frames, mirror and installing a new marble mosaic backsplash. I used service first because my condominium complex recommended them for a ceiling leak in my kitchen from the upstairs unit. While the communication with the office and scheduling was slightly chaotic and unorganized, the project manager Mario Vasquez made the experience more than tolerable. Step by step through the process when I wasn’t getting a prompt response from the office or unsatisfied with the handy work that was done, Mario became the main point of contact throughout the month long process. He responded fast and worked after hours to make sure my property was adequately addressed. He also took extra care and time by helping my elderly upstairs neighbor make decisions and stay informed. When I was concerned with something that looked like mold left in my insulation, he immediately responded and had someone come out to remove it and had air purifiers brought back in to help clean the air and improve the smell. When I noticed there was a double charge on the bill, he immediately addressed and corrected it. Without him, the month long process would have taken even longer and insulation with possible mold could have been left in my ceiling. He is dedicated to ensuring customers concerns are being handled in a prompt and professional way. Working with him was the best part of the experience in what was an unfortunate life event. He wore all hats from scheduling to payment and inspection. He is an amazing employee that goes above and beyond. My review for Mario would be 10 stars if possible, but errors and lack of communication from the office and some handwork dropped a star from my review. Such a great employee and I am very thankful for the extra measures he took in my restoration process.
