We needed maintenance on our solar hot water heater system and evaluation for leaks in the house. Jason Fernandez, master technician, serviced our hot water system, replaced the anode rod, & evaluated all walls with plumbing. He was knowledgeable, efficient, courteous, and kind as he worked and answered all our questions. We highly recommend Jason and Steve’s for routine & difficult plumbing work.

Hiring a plumber is kinda scary. It’s expensive and you just never know…. I called Steve’s first several months ago, after researching online and reading reviews. I had just moved into an old condo, and needed a shower drain unclogged and placement of a shower wand, along with repair of a minor sink drip. Steve’s sent Marcos and his team out. I was pleasantly surprised. The guys were polite, professional, and got the work done the same day. There was a complication with the shower drain but it wasn’t a complete surprise; old, poorly-maintained condo. During that time, we’d also discussed installing a main water shutoff in my unit as well as new shower valve, as it looked like the existing one was original. I’m not wealthy and am on a tight budget so it took awhile but it was finally time to do those projects. I called Steve’s, Marcos came out and looked at everything, we talked and scheduled an appointment for the following week. Marcos came and did the work, patiently explained everything to me, completed the work, did a beautiful job, and cleaned up after himself, just like last time. I’m happy to have had the same technician each time; he’s wonderful. I love the ease of scheduling and the outstanding communication with Steve’s Plumbing. I’ll call Steve’s for my next project.

Anthony Camus was the specialist who came to assess a possible large water leak in our irrigation system. He was prompt, polite, very knowledgeable and helped us determine it was a faulty water meter. After it was replaced everything looked good. Today Steves Plumbing has made me a customer for life. I had a leak under the kitchen sink and my regular plumbing company couldnt send someone until tomorrow unless I was willing to pay a $350 emergency call fee to get someone here tonight, plus the service fee, plus the work. I called Steves instead and they sent the fabulous Marcos Martinez within about 90 minutes. It was only a loose hose. Marcos was pleasant and knowledgeable and he tightened the hose and also helped to put the sliding under-sink shelf back on track (which had come off when I was taking everything out from under the sink). When I said Id go get my credit card, he told me there was nothing to charge for given that hed only tightened the hose and that they waived the service fee. That blew my mind. Of course, I was enormously grateful and I will be a Steves customer for life.

Steve’s Plumbing and AC highly recommended we called for a clogged drain that was backing up for a while in our mechanics shop. Not even 30 minutes later i received a text from Anthony saying he was headed our way. Keep in mind it cost us $0 to just come and look to see what’s really going on and give me an estimate. Anthony and his partner was very thorough and advised we have 2 options. We chose the option and he came back did the job and were very happy with their service. I had a leak that was losing a lot of water and my water bill spiked tremendously. I called Steves Plumbing because of the ratings on Google. I spoke with a lady (I wish I got her name); she was so pleasant on the phone. It did not take long to schedule a technician to come to the house for an assessment. Kaalai was very professional and personable. He noticed that I didnt understand what he was talking about and took the time to explain it. He didnt rush me to make a decision; he gave me some options and answered my questions. I would definitely recommend Steves Plumbing and Kaalai.

Our CONDO ASSOCIATION wanted me to have the valve changed inbetween their pipes and mine because it was frozen....I had thirty days to make the repairs.I was dragging my feet...I called Steves Plumbing initially and put it on the back burner.The call center office and estimates coordinator kept emailing and calling me until we were able to get everything lined up to do the work.I am so pleased with the technician, Jason, who did the work.I need more work done, which, I was unaware of at the time the CONDO ASSOCIATION sent out the original letter of what needed to be fixed.I had that poor man, Jason, on the phone for so long asking him every not smart question you can think of about plumbing.He had so much patience and was so knowledgeable.I really appreciated his smooth temperament, while, I was taking up way to much of his time.I do need more work done by Steves Plumbing and I will definitely ask for Jason by name.The interaction that I had with the accounting office lady was great.She was already closed for the day and opened the office up for me on two separate occasions.STEVES PLUMBING staff seem to work together very well to, GET ER DONE!Thank you, STEVES PLUMBING!You made sure my money didnt go down the drain with CONDO ASSOCIATION fines and fees!

Installed new garbage disposal after old one broke. Especially on an old cottage. He worked diligently to ensure all the repairs and replacements were working properly and cleaned up after completed. Our 30 year old central air AC unit stopped working on a Sunday night. Called Steves on Monday morning but they were already booked for the day. They were able to send a technician out on Tuesday though. Technician Garrett Stewart arrived Tuesday evening, found the problem, and was able to get the part the next morning. By 9:30am Wednesday our AC was back up and running! Garrett is the most awesome, knowledgeable guy youll have the pleasure to meet. Very personable and he knows his stuff. Communication from the office and from Garrett was greatly appreciated. A strong word of advice to Steves management team, do whatever you need to do to keep Garrett. I have used Steve’s plumbing before and very satisfied. Maui you learn patience as repairs are difficult to obtain especially in a timely manner. Yes, home maintenance is always very expensive especially on maui. My last Steve’s visit and this repair started within 24 hours of my call. My main water supply to the house was leaking. A new 70 foot copper pipe run was on the agenda. Lots of plants, grass, walls, and trenching. Anthony went way out of his way to help me. The initial repair estimate was higher than expected but Anthony worked with me to make the bill more approachable. I did perform due diligence on the Internet and calling others. Copper is expensive and this job was a very tough manual labor type situation. Steve’s plumbing kept me informed during the whole process. Anthony gave me frequent updates and pictures. I live off island and trust Steve’s to perform an outstanding job. Too bad all his work is now underground as the copper pipe looked awesome. Thanks Anthony. Would recommend this company hands down.

Honest and direct. Maka took the time to explain that it looks like the unit was not maintained by the previous owner and appeared to have had a leak for a period of time. Filling the unit would make it cooler for a short period of time. Based on the age of the split air unit it is better to look at replacing the unit.

In general these guys are great. They have done both plumbing & AC work for me and the results have been great. The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is because they contacted me to schedule an Ohana visit to check on everything and after waiting around for them, I get a call that they have to cancel. Ok, we rescheduled again for 2 days later, I wait around and again get a call saying they won’t make it. So we reschedule. The third time they did show up. To make matters worse I had a guest visiting from California so I partially blew their week in Hawaii having to wait for my appointments. So, when scheduling an appointment I’d only do it going forward if they guarantee they will show up.

We have had the privilege of working with Steves on a few projects recently for our clients buying or selling property on the island. From the initial call-ins to the appointment team, to the appointments themselves, and on to the follow up everyone has been courteous, professional, and helpful. Often times service companies on Maui can be difficult to work with or even get a hold of, definitely not Steves. On one specific project the technician didnt even charge for a few small items that needed attention, which showed us that service before money is truly how they operate. Lastly, big shout out to Ryan on the A/C side. He checked on one of our properties and offered the most thorough and professional service we have experienced. The A/C system is on its way out and he explained everything in detail, with photos and over the phone. He even offered several great solutions to create a win-win for everyone. To top it all off, he noticed a door open on the property when no one was home and offered to shut it for us. He is very kind, helpful, and won our future business as a result. When the tech finally got here, approximately 3-4 hours after the scheduled appointment, he did a good job servicing the two units reasonably quickly. The only issue I have with Steve’s is the lack of communication if the tech is going to be delayed or if the appointment needs to be rescheduled. I had to call their office three times in 4 hrs and essentially got no explanation or information on whether a tech would even get to the house or not on the scheduled day. I would rather have bad news than no news and updating the customer is really not that difficult.

Steves was great. I had a sudden leak from the faucet that handles our reverse osmosis system. It was bad enough that I had to turn off the cold water in the kitchen and the system was complicated enough that I didnt want to touch it myself. I called Steves and they had someone out in a few short hours. They were able to isolate the issue and get my water turned back on in no time. They had to go get some parts and said they would be back first thing in the morning. Sure enough, they showed up around 8am the next morning to finish the job. I wont hesitate to call them again in the future.

I called Steve’s Plumbing and AC to add refrigerant and test for a leak. What they found was a unit that was rusted through - the fan even collapsed into the unit. Ryan and Cobrey showed me the issue and put together a series of options for a replacement unit. 8 permutations in total. My wife wanted to go with the least expensive option and they suggested we do that and add the weather protection to get the most out of the unit. And to make it more reasonable, they gave us a substantial discount off the coatings. So, we did it. Three days later, they showed up first thing, on time, and Cobrey and his apprentice worked for 4 hours straight to remove the old unit and install the new unit. And it works! We are cooling off as I write this.Bottom line… Cobrey and Ryan were both friendly, understanding, and considerate. Cobrey was incredibly hard working and definitely worked up a sweat in the 85+ temps. As for pricing, from quotes I’ve received in the past, it’s competitive. One year warranty on labor and 10 years on the unit for parts. I would recommend them to others.

Jeremiah was wonderful, professional, kind and knowledgeable. The hot water was not coming out hot enough on one of the shower heads and was just luke warm. He removed the valve only to find stones and debris clogging it. He made sure that the cartridge and filter were clear of debris and put it all back together. I now have hot water!Great experience and we will definitely recommend Steve’s Plumbing to anyone. They answer when you call, update you on service arrival time, and are very considerate of your time.

Quick and friendly service. Victor was great to work with and communicated at each step in the process. Luckily for us the repair was covered by our AOAO as it was quite pricey, but my understanding is that’s just the going rate on island. Victor went above and beyond the address a water pressure issue with our shower after sediment had found it’s way in to the shower head after the pipe repair. Overall very happy with the work and would definitely use Steve’s plumbing again.

Great, timely service. Friendly and professional staff. I highly recommend Steve’s Plumbing. I came home to a leaking hot water tank the other day and needed help. I called up Steve’s plumbing and within a half hour Colin and Aaron showed up to diagnose the problem. They explained what the problem was, told me my options, and gave me a reasonable estimate. The very next morning they showed up and removed my old water tank and replaced it with a nice new one. I am so grateful I called them. I will definitely use Steve’s Plumbing again.
