Metta Electric responded quickly to an electrical problem caused by a roofer driving a nail into an electric line in a cathedral ceiling over my dining room. Great response time! Two other electricians didnt even respond here in upcountry Maui. Kyle found the problem and a solution that didnt require ripping off the new roof. Metta Electric will be my go-to guys for future electrical work here on Maui.

Ive known Kyle since before he started Metta. Its been a lot of fun to see him really blossom into one of the premier electrical/solar companies in the entire state. We use Metta on a regular basis to make the high voltage connections on our smart lighting panels and switches as well as add and move outlets for us. They consistently do great work are very conscientious. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

My first interactions were with Susan. She was delightful, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, helpful and caring. I knew that if other Metta employees were similar in quality, I would be in very competent and professional hands, which I was!!My roof layout was very complicated, yet Ryan was diligent, communicative, and caring for my concerns as he tweaked the layout for my panels, and assisted in determining battery backup placements. He spent time talking with me and seemed to really care. I again felt that I really mattered.Everyone that I interacted with at Metta was polite, caring and PROFESSIONAL.I felt I chose the right company, not only because they had the newest and best equipment before all other Photovoltaic companies (I know because I researched this!), but because they seem to have quality people working for them, value grooming and retaining them, and thereby standing out as a professional and reliable company that values building reputable relationships with their customers and wanting to provide the best service on Maui!!

I had Kyle install Solar Panels for my Home in Lahaina. He was very gracious with his time. What I appreciated most was his honesty. He did not oversell us on a package we did not need. Recently I reached out to Metta Electric to check out my Tesla Wall Charger because it was overheating. The initial install was done by someone else. Owner, Kyle Kramer, came out the next day and identified the problem. He was timely and professional. He even checked out my new NEM+ system to be sure it was operating properly since we got NEM+ for my new EV. Kyle is professional, reliable, and is trustworthy to get the job done. Before I choose a contractor to do work on my house, I like to see jobs in progress. This allows me to evaluate the workmanship and integrity of the workers. I was lucky enough to be able to observe the work that Kyle and his crew did on our housing development. I was extremely impressed by the attention to detail and professionalism of the crew. It was an easy decision to go with Metta Electric and Generac solar. I looked at Tesla but went with a company with decades of back up power solution experience, Generac. A recent power outage allowed me to observe the system in “islanding” mode where the house is disconnected from the grid and goes into self supply mode. The transition was seamless, when the grid came back online, the system connected back to the grid with no input from me. I opted for the battery wall and we are CGS with Maui Electric, our bill is now $26 per month compared to $325 per month. Extremely happy with my decision and would highly recommend Metta Electric!EDIT: 7/2022We have had our PV-battery system for almost two years and Metta Electric has been right there all the way! A small component failure on one of the solar panels was detected remotely by their team. I was contacted and made aware of the failure of the component and they were out the next week to replace the failed and suspect components from the production batch. I am glad to say that I made the right decision in choosing Metta Electric to do my solar installation and would highly recommend them to anyone who asks.

Recently, in February 2023, Kyle Kramer, sent out a crew to complete repairs for the ATS issue for my girlfriend, Linh Petersons PV System as well as a panel that didnt look the best at no charge for labor or material. That is what you call excellent Customer Service and he should be applauded for standing by his solar energy sustainability in Maui. Kudos to the crew as well, completing the work within a more than reasonable amount of time, where our electrical power was turned off to complete the upgrades/repairs to the system.This written on behalf of Linh T. Peterson, on 3/17/23.Ive worked intimately with Kyle Kramer, owner and Matthew Isbell, Solar Electric Designer with Metta Electric LLC to assist them in designing a system for my girlfriend. Cant say enough good things about these guys. On a Friday afternoon we lost most of our power and the clock was ticking on two refrigerators full of perishables. A contractor friend thought we might need to replace the entire main breaker 😞. I called Kyle. He was in the middle of a bigger job but stayed on the line with me and helped me troubleshoot. A few photos later and he was able to diagnose the problem over the phone: a tripped secondary breaker connected to the PV system. One click and my Friday went from real bad to very relieved and happy. Truly grateful to him for taking the time. That level of effort, courtesy, and expertise is a rare find. Highly recommend.

Metta Electric installed our Solar power system and back up batteries. Before contracting with Metta we met with two of the other established solar contractors on island. We choose Metta because they listened to our unique needs and designed a system that fit those needs. With nearly 40Kw of solar panels and 108 kWh of backup the system is quite large and encompasses two structures. Metta has also done electrical work for us. Metta is prompt, competent and professional. Kyle, the owner is accessible and is honest and knowledgeable. I highly recommend them.

I am grateful for the professionals at Metta Electric, Kyle, in helping my family through a difficult financial situation whereby the initial installers (MSP) of our PV system went out of business and left us without a warranty on the installation. Our inverter needed to be replaced and the cost of labor was astronomical without the warranty. Kyle at Metta worked with us financially on replacing the inverter and getting our system up and running again. It is good to see a reputable company on Maui willing to be a part of the community.
