My boyfriend and I recently bought a house and a few weeks ago we started to notice several lights as well as a ceiling fan start to flicker on and off sporadically and behave extremely dangerously for no apparent reason. I was so scared our house was literally going to burn down at any given moment. After initially calling the first local electrician who was listed, I was met with a rude, uncaring individual who said hed call me back in a few WEEKS to schedule an appointment. That was simply not an option given the extreme fire hazard we were living in! My next call was to Power House Electric. After explaining our situation, the gentleman (Al Barkley) told me that they were booked up and very busy that day, but due to the seriousness and potential danger our situation was putting us in- he and his associate were going to show up to our house within a couple of hours of my phone call! Once they arrived, I showed them the several different lights/ fixtures we were having the issues with. I really appreciated how much time they spent going through each area with a great deal of care, while also taking the time to explain to me what they were doing and why it was important to do so. Once they got to our houses breaker box in the basement, he immediately realized that a faulty switch was at some point replaced haphazardly in the past and because of that, it was literally sending sparks out- making our house liable to catch fire any minute. I am SO truly grateful for Power House Electric and their selfless, thorough and knowledgeable staff. They literally made sure that there was no longer any possible chance of a fire hazard present before they would leave for the day. It was so evident that these men honestly cared for my familys safety and took a great deal of pride in their work. I have come to find that in todays world it is increasingly rare to find people who operate their businesses this way. Its safe to say that I will never ever be utilizing any other electrician again. They may not have only saved our new home from catching fire, but saved our lives as well.
