From start to finish the team at Richards provided exceptional service. Our salesman Jonathan was knowledgeable, and he ensured we were able to get the most value out of our experience. Our project manager Jacob was very responsive to our needs. The pool was completed ahead of schedule, and the construction crews were very good. Any issues that came up along the way (including a hurricane) were handled masterfully. We could not be happier with this experience.I had a pool heater install that had been left in limbo for a while. Kristin took the reins and ensured the project was completed. She was very proactive with her communication. A great representation of her company.

One of our spa jet pumps stopped working. I used the web page to put in a service request that night and received a text from Kristen Barrow the next morning to schedule a tech for my particular problem. The pump was under warranty so we only paid a flat fee for the tech visit the next business day. The tech Stephan was friendly and efficient. The hardest part was waiting for the water to heat back up. Great service!

If you’re looking to build your own pool, RTBS is definitely the way to go. Easy, hassle free and punctual. Dig day was 4.23.24 and we swam for the first time 6.12.24. Bray was our PM and he along with Jonathan, Joi and Stacy, prepared us for any and everything to expect. Great communication and again, very punctual. The best decision I made was to build my pool with Richards, they were very professional from start to finish, from the designer and seller Johnatan Aguirre to Jacob who was the project manager always accompanied by Blake, they were clear and patient in their explanations, the price was very good and they delivered the finished project before the expected time. All the different people who came to do the job were obviously skilled that they were experts, professional, fast, efficient and clean. We had the privilege of getting the lifetime warranty, I am not sure if they still offer it, but if they do I highly recommend it! Had such a great delivery and setup experience for my new spa with the team from Richard’s. Even in a little bit of rain they still made sure I was able to get my hot tub installed. All they guys, Everett, Ricardo and David were all very friendly and knowledgeable as they were setting everything up for my new hot tub. I had been waiting a little longer than expected to have it installed but, they worked great together and got me all set up in no time. After quoting multiple builders for pricing and reviewing the BBB and Texas Attorney Generals office for complaints, we selected Richard’s because of the product quality they were offering (be careful about this with other builders. Do your research on what is good vs cheap equipment), their professionalism and their price. Nick at their design center designed the PERFECT pool for us. He literally asked what he desired and without much direction gave us everything we wanted (pool, spa, tanning ledge, interior pool booth with table, deep end bench and water features). Nick definitely gets 5 stars. Jose was our project manager assigned to our project and I am beyond thankful for him. He is attentive, very meticulous about the details, and fast. He was very genuine and super on top of the crews to stay on schedule. From ground breaking to filling with water it took two months. Honestly, unheard of compared to those we know building pools but the right project manager can make all the difference! Jose is the BEST! Thank you, Richards for building our little paradise with such commitment to detail!

Everett arrived to install our new hot tub cover. The old one was water logged and quite heavy. He was able to remove it. The water and the tub were too nasty for him to install the new one. So he drained enough of the water, and cleaned the top of the tub so he could install the new one. Needless to say, he went above and beyond the job. We are extremely happy with the new cover and his professionalism. He explained how to clean the tub and plumbing before he left. Thank you, Everett!

If you’re looking for a hot tub… you HAVE to come check out Richard’s Total Backyard Solutions. The whole experience was great! We learned a lot about hot tubs. Chris guided us through our wet test (if you’re buying a hot tub ..wet test is the way to go). They have a hot tub for every price range. This is great since we didn’t have an exact price we were looking for. We wanted to make sure we got the hot tub that was best for us. Chris and Julie truly want to go above and beyond for their customers. Hot Springs Pulse is what we decided to purchase and we couldn’t be happier. Definitely check them out!

We met with Kristi to design our dream pool and hot tub combo. She was extraordinary throughout the process; giving us ideas, helping to make us both happy, giving insight on what works well together, being patient with the financing process, and answering all our questions. She was very responsive to help us with questions about the design, making changes, and guiding us to banks for financing. She is amazing and we are very happy with everything about the process so far. Jon was great with the construction plans and we have been very pleased with Jose as our construction manager. Justin Counts was here this morning to repair a plumbing issue with our pool. The unions connecting our salt cell to the PVC valve stack had failed and water was spraying everywhere, especially when the spa circuit was initiated. I had attempted to repair the issue and managed to get two new salt cell unions on the stack and connected to the salt cell but the union closest to the first valve on the valve stack did not have enough PVC piping left to give a good seal and a leak was still evident.Justin tackled this with speed and prowess and using his trusty tools had the bad union off and replaced in record time. We gave the system another leak test and in spa mode all was dry :-). If this had not worked the repair would have entailed replacing valves which would have taken a long time and been very expensive.Congrats to Justin for saving the weekend for us. We have family down from Canada who were looking forward to some spa time.Also a big thanks to Kristen Barrow who took my service call earlier in the week and set up the reservation for Justin come out today.Very happy campers here ....... Julie and Chris really rolled out the red carpet for my wife and I. We did an 8 minute wet test and we were sold. They are genuinely great people who don’t care about making money from you. They care about taking care of every need and answering every question. Chris is insanely knowledgeable from top to bottom. Julie has an infectious laugh and even came in on her day off to make sure that we got the royal treatment. Went with a Hot Springs Envoy and we could t be happier. Everett and Ricardo did an amazing job! Very professional and courteous at all times while at my home. Not only did they get my new tub/ spa into a VERY TIGHT spot, they were happy to do it. They went over every little detail with me and showed me multiple times how to do everything, until I had it memorized. They had a trying spot to get the tub in, and they excelled my expectations! If you are getting an above ground tub, you want them to install it for you!Even at the end they brought out a few add on ideas, but no hard selling. They just offered appliances for your tub that you hadnt thought of. A tub sweeper, a handrail for drinking nights, a water filter so you dont have to shock your tub as often. Lots of options, and no pressure to buy! They made the excitement of getting a new tub installed easy and effortless.Wonderful job guys! Thank you!

Richards TBS designed and built a beautiful pool in our backyard.Nick created a beautiful design. We asked for a simple, geometric design and he delivered something within our budget. Nick also gave us recommendations throughout the sales process understanding our wants and tailoring the equipment to meet those requirements.After the sales process was over, we interacted only with Rachel. She was our project manager and was very responsive to my millions of questions. She even made a special trip over a weekend to walk us through a few concerns we had along the way. We had some issues after the build completion where a few tiles didnt seal properly and she sent the crew back out to ensure it was fixed.It is only 2 months since completion, so I cant comment on longevity. So far however, things have been good.This was our first time to have a pool constructed and we interviewed several pool companies. Richards was recommended to us from a friend who had their pool built by them. They were competitive on price, offers a solid lifetime warranty (non-transferrable though!), and were knowledgeable. Nick talked us out of a few things that would add-on cost but werent really needed for us. I did research after our meeting and everything that he said checked out - contradicting some other pool companies.Overall, we had a great experience with Richards and would recommend them.

Emily was able to get my DEL AOP system covered under factory warranty, even though it was 4 months out of warranty. Not only did it happen quickly, but she got it done quicker than expected, and pushed the install repair forward two days. That never happens now-a-days! Jessie installed it in less than 30 minutes, and showed me what’s changed with the system(how DEL improved the design). He also showed me some useful tips, without me asking. Richards Total Backyard Solutions designed and built my pool. I chose them because of their lifetime warranty, and fabulous quality without the “premium” price. My first contact with Richards was online to check out their company. I filled out a form about midnight on a Wednesday and received a call on Thursday. I was actually busy at work, but the man on the phone sounded so energetic. I listened to his pitch and I was getting excited about my test swim for Saturday morning. He wanted to set up an appointment right away. He suggested Saturday early in the morning to beat the weekend rush. I was reluctant since I live 45min away, but he sounded sure of the products so I agreed. When I arrived Saturday morning I was impressed with the showroom. I had been to another place 4 miles from my house and was not impressed as I was when I stepped into Richards TBS. I was greeted by my salesperson Chris. He was just as energetic that morning as he was during our phone conversation. We went through the tour and then the test swim. I was offered a towel, water, and a robe for after the test swim. Chris showed me more than I had imagined for a test swim. He explained everything so well and confidently. I was sure I had the best salesperson. He talked about his experience in the business and the continuing education that all salespeople receive. He told me there were people working there longer than he. I was convinced I had the best salesperson. You couldnt tell me otherwise. I can tell the continuing education of the staff really shows. While he was writing up my contract I overheard other salespeople and Chris was right. All of them sounded confident and energetic about the products they were talking about. I let Chris know that my experience was the best to date and I have no problem driving 45min for excellent service. I ended up putting a down payment on a swimspa that was bigger than i had intended to buy (it helps it was on sale). Im so excited for the delivery. I dont know anyone in the market for a pool, spa, or swimspa, but if I did I would insist they go to Richards total backyard solutions.

When we seriously started looking to build a swimming pool for our new home, I knew I wanted to get a quote from RTBS. I was first introduced to RTBS at a Home & Garden show over 10 years ago and loved the customer service they offered without doing business with them at the time.Today, I rate RTBS with a 4 Star but would give them a + if I could.Fast forward - In January 2021, I had the distinct pleasure of meeting our designer Kristie who went above & beyond the call of duty and won us over. She was the only designer who spent time with us virtually to understand our desires, wants, and needs and then took the time to visit our home and spend time in our backyard to see firsthand how we would use the space with a pool. I was blown away by Kristies eye for detail as no other company did this for us. In the end, RTBS was not the cheapest bid, but we knew we were buying a Brand. RTBS has been around for over 30+ years and I can see why.Kristie was very transparent with us from the beginning and explained how Covid had impacted vendors, laborers, parts, supplies, etc, and she set the expectation that the pool industry was in high demand and we would need to approach the build-out with an open mind and patience.We finally started our construction on April 19th, 2021 just 2 1/2 months after signing our contract. We were excited.Upon meeting our Project Manager (PM), Jose, he reassured us that he had the experience to oversee our build and let us know we were in good hands. Along the journey, we ran into many roadblocks with crews not being available to do the work. As frustrating as it was at the time, Jose always followed up to ensure the job at hand was completed to our satisfaction. At times, Jose was not always proactive in offering next steps, but when asked, he was always prepared with an answer. As I learned through this project, PMs are managing a lot of moving parts and some things are going to fall through the cracks. This is no different from any other job people do. We all are human and sometimes there is too much happening at one time and as a PM, Jose did not always have direct control over a situation. However, when I would speak to Jose, he would be open and honest and at times took accountability when he needed to. I truly respected this about Jose!As I look back over the last 6 months, I am very pleased with the outcome and the quality of work that went into our pool build. I know part of this is because Jose has established relationships with his contractors and has set the right expectations and work ethics with his teams. We had no issues with any of the contractors not doing their work. They all seemed to be very dedicated to their crafts and showed great work ethic and respect for us and our home while on our property.Today is October 6th and I am pleased to say that our pool build is 100% complete and even Jose followed up with a phone call to see how things were going.Thank you Kristie & Jose for making our backyard dream come true!April 3, 2024-IMPRESSIVE WARRANTY SERVICE! Our LED Color light went out in our built in Hot tub. I submitted a warranty request through RTBS website and a few hours later I received communication that a tech could be onsite the next day. Kristie was on top of it and the next morning, Kristie called to let me know what time to expect our technician. Shortly after, Technician Jesse called me to confirm the time of his arrival. Jesse arrived as expected and replaced our light with no issues. The communication and fast service were both well beyond my expectation. Thank you Jesse & Kristie!

He also went over the chemicals and told me how much of each cleaner/sanitizer and how often. I also was a little confused about the pH strips, and Everett showed me exactly how to use them and what to look for on the strips. Beautiful work done by Richards Total Backyard Solutions! We tore out our 26 year-old deck and gave the backyard a fresh update! At first we wanted to replace the deck with all stamped concrete, but Mr. Richard informed us that with so much movement in our property (and we know since we have had foundation work done twice on our house), it was best to look into natural stone pavers. BEST DECISION EVER! The natural stone pavers are gorgeous and really open up the space. We love our little backyard paradise!

Paula and Jessie have been amazing. My heater wasnt working and Paula promptly notified me that we had a lifetime warranty on the heater and send Jessie out. Yall, RTB was amazing. From dig to finish time it was 31 days....I mean how can you beat that? Not only that, Jacob the project manage was completely professional and always there to answer questions. He even came out after it was done when we had a question about to autofill had an issue in the freeze. I cannot recommend this company enough. Had an issue/leak with the check valve. Called Richards and was transferred to Paula, the service manager to discuss the issue on what was going on with the pool/spa. She was very detailed on giving me the instructions on resolving the issues and also recommending a leak detection company. Once confirmed of the issue she was able to get with her supervisors Sarahs to expedite the repair and confirm what is covered and what is not. Jessie was the one that came out to complete the repair and once I spoke with him after wards was very detailed and information on what caused the issue and explained everything very thoroughly. Ive rarely had any issues with my pool/spa, but the couple of times Ive called, Paula always is great to take care of the issues at hand. I appreciate her and all the staff at Richards for taking care of all their customers.

I was having issues with air coming into the pump and being pushed out to the pool returns....I was really afraid of where the leak(s) were coming from, but didnt see any leaks on the PVC piping leading up to the pump...so then started to think it was in the buried underground lines. YIKES!!! I called Richards and they sent Jesse out. WOW....it wasnt the PVC lines, it was a union and a diverter valve.....and he had it fixed in under 1/2 hour...he went to his truck and pulled out new gaskets....problem solved! I could not thank him enough....he came, he saw, he fixed! Its been 1 week already and the system is back to being just like new....except its a 50 year old pool. If you have issues, call for Jesse, you will be glad you did. I am!!!!

The delivery of my hot tub went very well. Innocent and his helper were very helpful and extremely competent in every way. The scheduling of the delivery was right on in the time it took the electrical guy and the delivery guys to get here. I never had a problem with sales team or the scheduling team. Everyone was great. I just had issue with the time frame and lack of communication during the 9 months I waited. I understand kinda, but should have been informed more frequently. In the end I do love ❤️ the hot tub. So thanks to your entire team.!
