Joe Culpepper did a great job helping me remodel our fireplace mantle. I had a plan to lower the mantle so I could install a larger TV above the fireplace. I got into the demo phase and realized I needed some help. I called Joe and he came out within 48 hrs to look it over, immediately gave me some ideas and also gave me a rough estimate of the cost. I agreed on the spot to move forward. Joe contacted me a few days later with a detailed cost estimate. No surprises. He did some work on the mantle in his shop and came out to the house about two weeks later. Note, I told Joe I was not in a hurry and he could schedule this small job around his next availability. He arrived with a hardwood mantle and trim pieces for several options. We played with a few options, agreed on a final design and he wrapped it up the same day. It looks great and Im glad I found Joe to help me finish this project.

Joe Culpepper does amazing custom work. We asked him to take the base from our old dining table and convert to a large buffet with a wine refrigerator cabinet. The base had some unique ebony stained wood that we wanted to re-purpose and not scrap. He fulfilled our request to build a modern buffet with large dimensions of 77*40*22, using the existing wood along with a mix of maple and alder.The job wasn’t cheap, but it was well worth it as we now have a custom piece of hardwood furniture. The job took about 6 weeks, so be patient as this is craftsman work.

Joe made a custom shaker style mantle for us. I liked that I dealt with him (the owner) the entire time. He was extremely responsive. His pride of ownership was evidenced through his impeccable workmanship. He even refreshed a cutting board my dad had made for me many years ago. It had come apart. Seeing Joes passion for quality woodworking promoted me to ask if he could help me with this special piece which he gladly did. Working with Joe was refreshing! He is trustworthy, quality driven and all that you would hope for in a contractor. Give Joe a call!

Joe is the best cabinet maker and woodworker I have encountered in 30 years in the design business. His work has excellent finish and durability. Really clever working to design and build custom one of a kind pieces. Wonderful listener and always willing to work with us to improve and execute our ideas to perfection. We have worked with him for over 20 years on personal and client residential projects as well as commercial projects here in Houston and some far afield and we have always been thrilled with the end product.

EXCELLENT workmanship! We hired Joe Culpepper to build custom cabinets in mudroom and bedrooms, and drawers in closets. He also designed and built a new access to our attic including a wood floor in attic. Joe is very trustworthy, kind, considerate, and his work is impeccable. I couldnt be happier. I highly recommend Joe Culpepper.

Some years ago Joe replaced our old rotten cedar siding with Hardy Plank on our 2 story 3,000 sq foot house and replaced old original windows with Anderson windows. It looks great, saved us on energy bills and has stood the test of time. Great workmanship. -B.P.

We have had Joe come to our house on several occasions to do everything from installing sliding drawers inside deep kitchen cabinets to helping design better storage inside our front closet in master bedroom closet.What I love best about working with him is his obvious joy and what he does. He loves to spend time brainstorming all the possible ways we can make a space work better for our family and our needs and I really appreciate having his expert eye on our space.The work he does is fantastic quality, he is very responsive and always does what he says he’s going to do.We will use him for all of our custom carpentry needs!

He made me a beautiful solid oak mahogany matching dresser and desk set for my bedroom. Now that Ive graduated with my engineering degree he made me a matching frame for my diploma. I love his attention to detail in the pieces and how beautiful they look.
