Our Water Heater stopped working on Friday afternoon at 3pm. Straight Shooter plumbing was able to send Jacob out that evening. Unfortunately, we needed an entire new unit. He was able to organize the financing that evening. Evan came and installed the unit the next morning.Everyone who we spoke with from start to finish was wonderful.

Chad, the technician who came to my home, was especially impressive. He was not only knowledgeable but also took the time to explain the issues I was facing in a way that was easy to understand. I found Straight Shooter with a Google search and they had very good ratings from other customers. I do not live local and wasnt sure how it would work to coordinate a sewer lateral replacement for a home that we are renting out. I called and explained my needs over the phone and they quickly responded by scheduling a site visit and estimate within an hour of my call. They required a camera in the sewer line in order to verify conditions and provide the estimate of cost, and they had a coupon on their website that made it affordable. I had to coordinate over the phone with the property management company and the tenant, and Straight Shooter was very communicative and helpful in this process.During the site visit, they located the exterior cleanout and ran a camera through the sewer line. Once the camera work was complete, the owner (Steve) forwarded me a copy of the video and he walked me through the footage explaining the conditions and what was needed for replacement. Later that same day, I was provided with an estimate broken down into line items with thorough explanations of cost. In addition, Straight Shooter would be responsible for all permits, utility location, surface restoration, and coordination with the tenant.Upon approval of the estimate, they required 30% down payment and scheduled the work to start the next day. The project ended up with a few challenges including working around unmarked utilities, City required extras, and delayed final permits, but Straight Shooter followed through and got things done in a timely manner without a lot of nickel and dime costs. One of the City requirements added some extra costs to the overall project, but Straight Shooter tried to minimize the extras as much as possible. They were very friendly, professional, communicative, and thorough throughout the project, and I really appreciated their willingness to work with us over the phone since we couldnt be there in person. I would recommend them to anyone needing a quality plumber in the area.

I cant say enough about this company!! They are all angels as far as Im concerned! I bought a home and to make long story short, The pipes leaked, there several other issues too many list. Ive been living in a hotel while a team of hard working men are putting all other jobs aside so I can get back into my home!! They do exceptional work and truly care about you, the client. I had issue with my garbage disposal being broken. I got an appointment quickly and the technician, Nick, promptly diagnosed the issue and gave me multiple options to repair. I ultimately decided to have it completely replaced. I requested another date for replacement and Matt was my technician. Quick and efficient. The service I appreciated the most was a follow up phone call from Carly (I hope I spelled that correctly). She called to make sure that the service that was provided was up to standard and to make sure I was happy with the result. I truly appreciate the service I received. He talked over four different options with me & made sure to explain everything in detail and answer any questions I had. Wonderful service, excellent communication, quick response time! Our toilet flooded our bathroom Tuesday, mid-day. I called Straight Shooter Tuesday evening when I got home, after their closing time. Nick Halpin and Sam Munkhoff went above and beyond on my trouble call in my basement. They mapped everything out and listened to my requests and did a great job with the rootering and then subsequent hydro jetting and camera inspection that was required. A tool was left in toilet drain from when house was built which caused a challenge removing their equipment but they persevered and it was a long day for both of those guys but had a positive attitude and very professional every step of the way. They were careful and did not damage anything in the process I am very pleased and my upcoming basement renovation I have planned I will make sure that straight shooter plumbing and rooter will be utilized as my contractor for that project.

It wasnt quite an emergency but trying to keep four kids from using the bathroom and not being able to do any laundry for a family of six is stressful! They got me in quick and back up in running. Its never a good time to have to request the help of a plumber, but Straight Shooter helped us out of a main line stoppage problem on a Saturday morning. Straight Shooter Plumbing has been excellent to work with. We had a basement sump pump go out that was original to the home. They came out the same day to assess the system. It was determined that the entire thing needed replacement. They gave a fair price and were back the next day to start the work.We have since had them do maintenance and add an expansion tank to our water heater. Most recently they added a water softener to our house as we had extremely hard water. Unlike some plumbers who would just throw a system on the thoroughly tested our water and took into account our septic system before recommending a softener system.The staff is friendly and respectful, work is done well and pricing is fair! Im convinced you wont find a better plumbing service in the area.

I discovered a small leak on a Friday afternoon under my kitchen sink and they had a plumber out the next morning to have a look. Nick came out and was very professional and considerate wearing shoe protections etc in the house.In the end we decided to replace the old galvanized pipes with PEX as they were due for replacement. I got two estimates for different scopes within 30 min and the following week Nick came back and did the work in one day! I was out of town so we arranged for them to let themselves in which was great and they communicated with me throughout the process which was awesome. Very efficient and transparent throughout the process and they also offered financing which I didnt use in the end but its good to have as an option.Highly recommend!

Straight Shooter Plumbing has been our plumber for the past year. We had a leaking garbage disposal and leaky faucet. They replaced both for us. Eight months later the new disposal started leaking again. They came over on a Saturday and didnt charge us weekend fee. They fixed the disposal leak and just charged us a service fee. Very fair and reasonable. I would recommend them in any plumbing service needed.

Outstanding team of folks. Had a pipe burst job turned into a complete re-pipe of the sanitary line through the basement and crawlspace straight shooter was there same day to not only investigate but make the necessary repairs. Crew had all hands on deck to finish the job that day, mind you this was easily a 2-3 day job had they sent a standard crew but they were all on it and did so immediately so tenants had amenties back up and running same day. Straight Shooter is the BEST in professional knowledge, the BEST in skill installation, the BEST in attitude, the BEST in price, and the BEST in scheduling our job to be done immediately. “Immediately” is unheard of in North Idaho at this time because most plumbers won’t do maintenance work because they make more money doing new construction. Neither do most plumbers call you back; or, if you get a call-back, it is later than sooner, and you are at the end of the line in their install schedule. Getting a superb licensed plumber in North Idaho for household plumbing care is one of the most frustrating aspects of contemporary life.From a Google Search of nearby City of Hayden, we cold-called Straight Shooter Plumbing and Rooter on Tuesday, and to our complete surprise, our call was answered by the owner, Steve, himself! He instantly scheduled a visit the next morning, Wednesday, and he came, he diagnosed all our problems created by our previous plumber, he identified the solutions, and he had an electronic, itemized bid to us that same evening at a fair price: to de-install the bad job of the first plumber, and to install 3 new 55 gallon water heaters in “parallel,” with “L” copper piping, soldered, and our gas joints re-worked and corrected from the mistakes made by the first plumbing company so that our existing gas appliances and heater were not affected. Not only that, Steve was able to get 55 gallon heaters, (50 gallons are easily available, but not 55 gallons) and he was able to come, himself, with his partner, Nick, with all the necessary equipment needed for the job, and install our complicated job, completely to our satisfaction, 6 business days later from our first meeting!!!! This is significant!!!!With all that Straight Shooter does so well in plumbing, it is topped by their “can-do,” “will-do,” “want-to-help you as soon as possible” attitude. He came right over and helped fix a couple leaks under our sink. He fully replaced the pipes and valves. After completing the repair, we explained wed like to consider having him back to help with some other projects.He gave us estimates on upgrades like moving our water shut off valve to the garage and adding a water filtration system and or a water softener. He can also extend our bathroom from one sink bowl to two sink bowls. Both of these would be lovely upgrades.Id highly recommend Steve to help you with your plumbing needs!
