We had Michael and Son install a new ceiling fan in our master bedroom as first time customers. Tony came as an experienced and friendly electrician to explain the job to us. He was on time and was patient as he took his time explaining what needed to be done in order to effectively and safely get the fan installed and made sure we understood the pricing. He was able to install the fan for us on the spot and had it up in no time despite having to install an electrical switch, cut a hole in the ceiling, install a ceiling joint that would hold the fan, etc. He did all of this while leaving no mess behind and even took the box/styrofoam with him so we didn’t have to deal with that either! He was super nice and knowledgeable and did a fabulous job. Highly recommend Michael and Son and Tony specifically.

Quentin was great and I would recommend him specifically to family and friends. This is why: He is a talker but he’s honest, transparent and knowledgeable. He went over and beyond to discover what the problem was, which end up being a phantom drain put in, right before I bought my house, to pass a concern at inspection. To say, the least, he was realistic about my options and I was sold on him doing the repair, a few weeks later. And he completed it by himself, which was a shock but maybe that’s how his company operates? He tested the repair before he left, to make sure the issue was actually resolved so I appreciate that the most, versus a band aid that companies will actually do, I’ve learned! Thank you Quentin!

Manuel was very polite, quick to find the problem. Was very happy, but when he showed me the price of the part , I was very upset, it was at least 3-400 % mark up. I had my own electrical business, & my mark up price was 30%. This is way to high especially for people on a fixed income…..

Aaron came to install a full house surge protector as well have noticed several times that our lights have been turned off and on within short periods of time and wanted to protect ourselves for the cost associated with shorted out appliances and devices. He explained what he was doing, sent photos, and did the job very quickly. While it was pricey (no fault of the company), its a very much needed investment to protect our home. He also helped us identify the cause of one of our light switches not working and we were able to fix it ourselves. Great job Aaron!

Wow! I wasnt sure how this was going, I just knew I needed my gable mounted fan to work better than it was. I was completely impressed and totally appreciated Tony who was dispatched from Michael and Sons. He was thorough and he communicated with me on strategy and options. He was very professional and personable! The fan now works efficiently and even got a new switch for it. I dont ever have to worry about the heat build up in my attic, such a sense of relief!My sincere thanks to Tony and the company!!

I have carpet floor and with all the rain the clay is ridiculous. Ive had other service techs from different companies just ... Literally walk right in leaving boot prints in my house .Anyways, highly recommend the company. Didnt charge me for things I didnt need and was an A+ experience.

My technician did an excellent job. The reason for the low rating is because of poor communication with their office. Update: After speaking with their local office in Greensboro, and getting the local direct dial phone number, all the communication issues were resolved. I have dealt with their electrical, plumbing, and A/C techs, and they are courteous, knowledgeable, and prompt. They arrived when they said they would, and did their work efficiently. I paid for the service plan they have, and will be using them again.

Work was led by Tony G. He was super knowledgeable and professional, laid out a few different pricing scenarios based on inspector feedback so there wouldn’t be any surprises. Service Entry cable replacement, so it involved coordinating with inspector and utility company. Never tried to upsell me, no pressure, pricing was better than inspected and work done without a hitch. Would recommend, this company will be my go to on any project that’s bigger than I feel comfortable DIYing.

We just bought an older house with ungrounded outlets (minus laundry and kitchen) that had (mostly) already been converted to GFCI. We were unsure what the best and most cost effective way to ensure our electronics were protected (surge protection vs installing ground wire). After listening to what we were looking for, Aaron gave us the best option for what we needed. Aaron did an absolutely wonderful job installing surge protection and 2 GFCI outlets to our house.He is very knowledgeable, and did a great job simplifying verbiage to make it easier to understand. I appreciate him taking the time to go over every option and making sure that I understood before going ahead with the work. Price was fair for the work, the company is great about communication, and are available to do services same day. I am beyond happy with the outcome from this company and will be requesting Aaron for all of our electrical needs!Bonus points that this company does HVAC and Plumbing as well.

Noe A. was very professional and explained things thoroughly. Our natural gas heat went out on a Saturday morning. We called Michael and Son and Noe A. came out Monday as promised. He didnt just look at the unit and say hed be back the next day to look at it more thoroughly (which some companies have in the years past). He had out a tester and tools and was taking the unit apart to find out the problems on Monday. We have to get several parts replaced and Michael and Son will be doing the replacement work. Hopefully it will be Noe A. that comes out again and fixes it. Not only does this company fix ac/gas packs, they also do plumbing and electrical work which we found out Monday. This company will be getting referrals from my husband and me and we will continue to use Michael and Son.

Flushed our instant hot water unit and checked flow of all faucets and drains. Prompt, efficient and responsive to questions.Updated 9/14/24Today we were visited by your electrician, Tony, for inspection of our electrical. He was prompt, thorough and professional. He took the time to troubleshoot and solve issues with our under counter lighting that flickers. He also found and corrected issue with an 240 live wire in crawl space that we didnt know was there. He looked into the controller for the underfloor heating in master bathroom. He was able to get the lock off and verified that it was working. He also recommended a whole house surge protector that becomes code since our last electrical upgrade in 2014.We cannot say enough about the professional and knowledgeable talent of Tony. He is an asset to your company.Updated 12/24/24Aaron arrived early which was great. He asked what exactly we wanted. He then checked out service and came back with several recommendations all of which were items that were needed ; putting in the new outlet, making it a system with GFI and replacing all out dated outlets. He accomplished all this in a timely and professional manner. He cleaned up all debris.

WOW . When I tell you wow I mean WOW. Woke up without water and within hours a tech was at our house. Quentin B. Worked tirelessly to figure out our problem . Between a fried switch , parts older than myself, and a mystery well, he tried EVERY route to figuring out what was causing our lack of water. Day1, he tried many “easy” fixes and none of them did the trick. Decided a well pump may need replaced. I spoke with customer service and they were astounding with setting us up within 48 hours for a full dig. When Quentin showed back up, he again tried another Avenue he discussed with his fellow techs and trusted mentors. His years of service truly showed as he discovered a hole in our pipe. Let me start by explaining the scenario; the AC stopped cooling late in the afternoon while it was 96 degrees. I knew we could make it through the night before it got too stifling, so in the meantime I sent messages to the first 15 listings on Google’s search for “HVAC near me”. Michael and Son was the first and only service to respond; first gold star. I knew that with the heat sweeping the area that all the HVAC services would be very busy, and didn’t think I would get anyone to come out on such short notice without it being an “emergency” call with an emergency premium tacked onto the bill, and that it would probably take a day or three. When M&S called, they told me they could have someone there between 10 and 12 that day, no emergency; second and third gold star. When his prior call ran a little long, the tech (Manuel) messaged to let me know he’d be just a few minutes over but that he was coming ASAP; that’s the fourth gold star. Once he arrived, Manuel was quick, knowledgeable, and unceasingly professional; he indulged my many questions, and was overall such a pleasure to deal with that I didn’t even mind paying the bill. He was absolutely worth all five gold stars (I’d go six if I could!). From now on, I don’t need to look for HVAC services; I know who I’ll be calling. Don’t change a thing!12/4/24: Made another service call, and was lucky enough to get Manuel again. Manuel had an issue identified, a path forward, and his work completed in less than 90 minutes. Our service with Michael & Sons has been overall satisfactory. Theres only one complaint I can think of... After the water and sewer lines were replaced from the house to the road the dirt over the pipes wasnt tamped down and much of it and the grass seed that was laid down washed away shortly after the job was finished. Also our pavers were in disaray after they left but these are small things when compaired to being without water. Anyway, we havent had any more problems with the sewer line or the water line since and they installed a clean out to use an auger on the sewer line if it ever gets stopped up again. Id still give them 4 stars and recommend them. Their service members are always nice, respectful, and well mannered so no issues there. I think it was the end of the week and after doing both lines in a single day they were just exhausted and ready to go home.

Tony did AMAZING WORK!! He explained clearly what the issue was the cost amd labor. He was extremely patient with my 83 yr old ex marine father, what and why he needed to do the work. If you’re looking for a honest reputable company, this is it. Michael & Son Services were amazing from the start. I called and scheduled a first time appointment and that was quick and simple. The day of the appointment, the technician Noe L called me and kept me updated on when he was going to arrive. He showed up on time and from the start very respectful and straight forward. I explained what I was wanting and he completely understood and made it happen. He walked me through everything, showed me everything and explained it all in terms that even I understood. He didn’t push any services or push me to sign up for anything. Noe L is extremely knowledgeable and makes you feel at ease with what he’s doing. I can’t stress this enough, make the switch to Michael & Son services and ask for Noe L. I would give him easily 10 out of 5 stars.
