This shop was a godsend. After my catalytic converter was stolen off my Prius when in NYC, I had a really rough time finding a shop that would work with me to install a catalytic converter shield as recommend by my insurance company as Im frequently in the city and my model of Prius is a high target. Originally I had an appointment with my Toyota dealership and they were incompetent and said they would not install it to my request. I called around to about a dozen other shops until I found this one. They were super friendly and helpful. Even though they were super busy and booked out for a month, they were able to squeeze me in early one morning to install the shield so that I was able to drive into the city for work with my Prius with a little less apprehension. The rates were really fair too and almost half as much as I was going to pay for the Toyota dealership to try to install it before I lost confidence in them. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for a fair and honest repair shop.

I have been using A&W for over 10 years for everything from major repairs to oil changes. He is the most honest mechanic you will ever find. I have had many occasions where I thought I needed repair work and he advised it was simply a code reset or something minor. Other mechanics simply dont do that. I’ve had my vehicle serviced for regular maintenance and major repairs over the past 3 years. Mr. Waldek always makes sure that my van is safe to drive. He has recently rescued me and my kids on the busy road in front of his shop, while trying to make the turn into his lot, as my power steering completely failed at that moment. I’m so grateful to Mr. Waldek for his quick thinking and taking over what was a very stressful situation for me and could have turned into an accident. The office manager, Wayne, is always pleasant to speak with, thorough, and accommodating. And, all the mechanics are a pleasure to deal with. Though the shop is always busy, they try to help and work with you, and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Always knowledgeable, honest, reliable and fair, and I definitely recommend this mechanic!

Just traveling through and they took me in same day to read the code on my crosstrek (every one else I called told me to come by the next day, frustrating for someone on the move) and took the time to explain the code and what my options were. If I lived near by they would become my new mechanic. Very friendly and helpful and the shop/parking lot was busy so you know they are trusted by many. Cant recommend them enough based on how I was treated. Waiting area is tidy and nicely cooled by AC, also supplies to help keep kids busy.

What a great experience, Waldek and his Mechanics took time out of their already busy day to assist, diagnose and fix my 2015 Silverado, when i randomly pulled into their business. But what makes this place special was the courtesy and honesty, and im not just talking about business ethics when i say this, but the entire crew were just down right good people. The prices were more than fair, i was actually shocked in a good way when i received the bill. Bought a second hand Subaru Outback from these guys, with a lot of miles on it. They had bought it from auction, and fixed it up. Was a fair price, but all parties realized a high mileage car comes with some risks. Bought it as is, with a well defined warranty package for the engine. After I had paid for the car and drove it away, I realized the car stereo didnt work. Took a couples days for me to bring it in. Waldek dropped what he was doing, and spent a couple hours figuring out what the source of problem was. Then spent a few days sourcing a replacement amplifier, which he installed.There was no talk of extra money, although we were truly in a grey area, and I wouldnt be surprised by other shops to insist I pay for labor and replacement parts. He got it working, and sent me on my way. I really appreciate people who take pride in their work and their service, like the folks at A&W.

They have gone out of their way many times, above and beyond what any other repair shop or dealer had ever done for me and my family.I read through all the reviews here, and I cannot believe the review from a google user (Erck V.) is genuine. In all the years Ive known him, Waldek would NEVER overcharge anyone. If anything, he undercharges or does extra work for no charge at all. A&W was able to diagnos and repair a faulty valve in one of my cylinders when the Subaru dealership in Westchester had all but given up and wanted to replace my engine, of course I was well past my warranty and it wouldve could me thousands.
