I had my service upgraded and two panel boxes combined into one. The team did a great job, very neat work! It was a pretty big job but they knocked it out in under 8 hours. The technician explained the process very well, before they started and after. Not the cheapest guys out there, but not the most expensive. If you want the job done correctly and efficiently, these are you guys.

2 Guys were here 2.5 days. Nate articulated the things he worked on well and we had no problem understanding him - he mostly worked in the attic in this awful heat....and did not complain a bit!~ The only reason for 4 stars is because we should have been afforded the option of knowing the pricing in advance for any additional work: just one example that Im pretty sure we would not have agreed to pay is $275 for one outlet to be added to the new outside electical box that was put in! Jim did make some revisions to the bill, which was appreciated - but only after putting his phone in my face and telling me to look at it: he seemed knowledgeable but very immature. We did expect to have to do some cleaning but was a bit surprised at all dirty handprints on the walls....

Salute to American Electric from the Army Navy Union #411! Joe was amazing. Half of our power was at our Veteran organization, and we would not be able to open for the day. Mike and his crew are incredible, in particularJeffThe Illuminating company had given us a run around all day about the damage we received from last nights storm. We did exactly what they asked by calling an electric company to fix what was broke. American Electric was here within 2 hours to help. Once it was fixed the illuminating company was supposed to come back and reconnect our power. After getting the run around for 12 hours they said they cant come out now, meaning we would have had zero power all weekend!!!!We called American Electric back and they came back out to do what the Illuminating company promised. I highly recommend them to anyone in the area!!Then the illuminating company finally showed up at 11pm after they told us they weren’t coming. Horrible customer service!American Electric for the WIN!!!! 10 STARS

What a great experience! We have used American Electric on a few homes we owned but this commercial project was a first for us. We knew we preferred Joe and his team but it was a great deal of money, renovating an old doctors office to a restaurant and coffee shop, so we had some apprehension on whether or not we should pull the trigger. We are glad we did; they worked extremely well with us as we acted as our own general contractor and made scheduling errors, changes, and other probable nuisances to Joe. Every single person he sent to the job was professional and polite and we highly recommend American Electric.

They rewired some front post lights including running cable underground in one case. In the other, they replaced exterior floodlights that were too high for me to reach. I was having a partial part/voltage issue in the house. I would lose power in certain rooms, outlets and lights at random times. The breakers never once tripped when it would happen. Sometimes the power would just flicker and other times it would stay off. So of course I got on the line and did my homework. Only thing I could do was flip the main breaker in the panel. A few times doing that and the power would come back on and other times it wouldnt. So finally i called American Electric. I talked to Shelby and explained my problem. She told me there was a tech in my area on that day and can have someone there, but then she did something that completely took me by surprise. She told me that 90% of the time, the problem Im having is outside, call The Illuminating Company and explain my problem. The Illuminating Company will come out and check and it would be free. If American Electric comes out they would have to charge a service call, which i understood. Well in turns out it was an Illuminating Company issue and the problem was taken care of by them and for free. Shelby/American Electric could have easily could have come out, take my money and then tell me to call The Illuminating Company. To me that is excellent customer service. I cant speak on the companies service, techs or price, but as far as Im concern they have earned my future service if I should ever need it. Thank you Shelby for you honest, professionalism and putting the customer first before the company.
