    We were so happy with our service from Mr. Handyman. They do an excellent job communicating. From the reminder texts and emails, to letting you know the technician is on the way. Our amazing technician Greg, even called to let me know he was going to be running late and then apologized again in person.Greg informed me exactly what his plan was for our repair and communicated changes that he made to the original plan. He was efficient and a perfectionist- which we appreciate!We will be using Mr, Handyman again in the future!

    Mr Handyman was hired for several carpentry jobs. I first needed closet sliding doors trimmed since new carpet was higher and they would not slide. Second was two doors that did not close properly since rubbed on door jamb.John did a great job with fixing these items, great quality and worked quickly.Id definitely recommend and will use again for future carpentry needs!

    I had a wonderful experience with the staining and painting of my fence. It looks beautiful. Bernard came and gave me an estimate first which was fair to me. He then came back and power washed my fence and replaced all the bad boards. He got samples of the stain for me to choose and then he went and got the stain for. Before he started he removed decorations in the yard and covered everything that could get stain on it. He even covered thins that were close in my two neighbors yards. I was very pleased with his caring of my personal things. He was very pleasant and kept checking with me to make sure everything was ok.     I first read reviews for Mr. Handyman of Naperville and was impressed with what I read. I probably lucked out with the timing of my request in the middle of January. I filled out a request for a couple of things and received an email saying someone would be contacting me to set up a time for the repairs. I believe it was only two days later and I got an email saying Kevin would be out around noon. I was really surprised at how quickly I was able to get someone out. I had a kitchen faucet to remove and replace. I needed my front door weather stripping to be replaced as well. I had purchased the faucet ahead of time but Kevin needed to make a run to purchase the weather stripping for me. I didnt really know their pricing until I got the email that Kevin could come that day. I realize now that it is more economical for the customer to have a laundry list of needed repairs and have them all done at one time. My faucet turned into more than I had thought because the water shut off valve needed to be replaced. Even with that issue Kevin was really, really fast and did not waste one minute of time while he was here. The door weather stripping was done in a flash. I was very pleased with getting a senior discount which I didnt know they offered. I would not have been able to get a comparable price certainly from a plumber. I felt the price was reasonable for what he did. I have a membership with another company but this company requires a two hr minimum and my experience with them was I was paying way more than I should have and they charged upfront before the job was even started. With Mr. Handyman of Naperville they charge by the hour and they require an hour minimum which is certainly reasonable. After the first hour their price is reduced and charged by extra half hours. I would definitely recommend them and I plan on using them again when I have a longer list of things that need to be done. I have had contractors in the past who came out and it was obvious they were milking the time as they were spending more time talking than working. My experience with Kevin was he got the job done in record time and did a very good job.

    I have used Mr Handyman Of Naperville for many years on various home projects. My recent project was removing 5 old coach lites and installing 5 new! I was so pleased to have Ray, the Electrician, doing this job. He was the Electrician I had re-wire my basement, several years ago, adding numerous electrical outlets, new lites, and a sophisticated electrical system to accommodate my husbands separate heat-driven steam unit. Ray is the BEST Electrician I have come across... and at 67 yrs young, I have been around the block a time or two. It goes without saying, Mr Handyman of Naperville only has the most qualified and experienced folks across the trades in their employment. I can attest to their electricians and carpenters.Ray did an outstanding job. A time and date was scheduled and he was right on time. Besides the coach lite installation, he purchased, installed, and set a new coach-lite timer that was user-friendly and taught me how to use. Very Customer Focused, cleaned up after the job was completed. We even discussed electrical projects for the Spring.In my experience, Mr Handyman of Naperville, has provided me excellent work with great people and I plan to continue using them in the future. They offer so many services. I know you will be as happy as I have been.

Greg took the time to thoroughly review the projects we had, make suggestions for long term solutions, and then came back to do the work. Although the pricing for Mr. Handyman is a bit higher than others - you will get someone who is knowledgeable on how to do the work, you will get someone who will show up when they say they will, you will get possible options on how to fix the issue and in some cases, you will get work that is guaranteed.     Everything from booking the appt to the day of service was super easy and great. The quality of work is fantastic. We had some safety grab rails installed and new shower heads.     We wanted to put a cedar ceiling in the screened in porch, but I didn’t want to work with my arms over my head for 2 days, so I called Mr. Handyman. They sent out Josh who did a great job. He was punctual and professional.The work was done quickly and well with an eye to maintaining the look we wanted. The price was fair. In fact if I’d done it myself the cost of renting the equipment added to the co-pays for the emergency room and subsequent therapy made the price a bargain, and we got a better job to boot.

    Ive used Mr. Handyman twice. Once to install entryway doors and most recently to replace an overhead ceiling fan and bathroom fan. Both times, the work was done very well. In the case of the fans, the new fan was smaller than the ceiling hole. Our tech went out to his truck, got some spackle, fixed the hole, then mounted the new fan which now works perfectly. If he did not do this, the fan had a wobble at the highest speed. Now, it works great. You guys are the BEST! Thanks.

    I am very much pleased with Ray and Kevin. Ray the electrician fixed one of fans which was making noise, he checked all the electric outlets and repaired one in the kitchen which was not working. The work was beautifully done, and he not only did the drywall work, he rehung a light fixture, refastened the garage door opener wires in place properly, and swept the floor.     Once again Mr. Handyman came by to help on three different jobs. Pete replaced our blinds in the den with new ones and hung them. He also changed out the screen that’s reference below for the winter glass door. And installed a CO Monotor in the basement. All were done with thorough and professional performance. We are highly recommend them.We have used Mister Handyman for repeated repairs over the last several years. In March this year we had repairs to a leak that was coming from under an outside step into the basement. They did tremendous work on that repair. Don made all the right adjustments both inside and outside so we no longer have that leak. We are quite pleased with their work. It is rather difficult to find people who are willing to do this type of work. And they were right there with lots of knowledge.Another seasonal job which is quite hard to find people willing and ready to do it is to repair screens. Our front door screen had separated from its frame. Mister Handyman, Josh, came within four days and Josh redid the entire screen. It is highly professional work and we are quite pleased with our new screen mesh.Both are substantial examples of the quality and professionalism of the work of Mister Handyman. We highly recommend them to you.They are scheduled to assess a third job for us this week.

    A flat metal ornament that was hung via suction cup on the stationary panel on my sliding door fell between it and the sliding panel. (Never, ever hang anything there!) There was no way to grab the item or to pull it out nor could the door be fully closed or locked. The sliding panel also cant just be lifted out of the track like a window. (Talk about stress... a partially open door on your house!) Over the course of a week I tried a half dozen places that never called me back or couldnt figure out the door... Finally, in desperation I went to a big box home improvement store contractor desk. The employee referred me to Mr. Handyman of Napervilles Geneva location just down the way. It was such a relief to be able to see the long operating hours posted on the door and to walk in, explain the issue to a kind, patient and knowledgeable person and then walk out with an appointment! Jacob arrived on time and was very respectful. He carefully assessed and patiently solved the problem. He extracted the mangled metal ornament and got the door working perfectly again in just over an hour. He also installed a metal pet grille on the sliding screen door that has made life simpler for me and safer for my cat. I am overjoyed to finally have a competent, reliable and responsive service I can contact for almost any home repair situation. I am happy to say theyre currently working up an estimate for about a dozen other tasks that have been on my to do list for way too long.

The pipe that was there had been collecting condensation and dripping into my closet ceiling... which meant the insulation and drywall in the closet ceiling also had to be taken out and replaced.     It is absolutely wonderful to have a one-stop-shop for just about anything you need. I had Als team come out and do some extensive repairs after a break-in last Summer, and they did an absolutely amazing (and incredibly quick) job. They got my house back to normal in no time, and did everything from installing doors, to patching and repairing walls, to painting. They were very professional and very quick. The owner even stopped in to check on the progress. It really shows pride in your job when you do that. I referred them to my parents for a complete overhaul on their house. Mr. Handyman helped suggest paint and stain colors, and painted the entire exterior and interior of their house, replaced doors, changed all doors, and wow- it looks amazing!So on this latest call, my sump pump was smoking. Al sent someone out within an hour. Isnt that incredible? Also, Mr. Handyman didnt charge me some crazy rush rate either, and was very honest about how long the work would take, and even asked if I would like them to look at anything else while they were there - b/c they said it would take less than an hour. Its wonderful to have a handyman who can do it all, and someone you can trust. Ill be honest, being a young woman who owns a home, its pretty hard to find someone who wont try to take advantage of you because of your age or gender, and I never have to worry about that with Mr. Handyman.     I have used Mr. Handyman for multiple projects at my home in the past year based on a recommendation from my granite supplier. I had them do my tile backsplash as well as new lighting when I updated my kitchen. They also installed all of my appliances and built an add on to my existing kitchen island that they matched perfectly to the stain. Theyve done multiple other repairs and updates around my home. Jeff came out for the first call and did absolutely fantastic work on the multiple wall patches and other odds and ends we needed (all while being chased around by a toddler incessantly asking what he was doing).The second job involved patching some siding on the back of the house that had been singed by the grill being too close to the house. Despite the weather impacting scheduling (this was right when a pretty intensive cold front + array of snow storms hit) they were able to match and replace the siding in time for us to close on the house.Absolutely fantastic service and great communication throughout. Would highly recommend.

    Called Mr Handyman because my smoke detector wouldnt stop chirping. I tried changing batteries on my own, but it didnt solve the problem. Mr. Handyman sent out Don the same day, understanding how annoying the chirping is. Don came with a replacement, and checked the others while he was here. Unfortunately, they all have to be replaced but Don fixed the immediately problem and Al called the same afternoon to schedule Don to come back and replace the others. Very happy with their service. The only reason I didnt give you a 10 is because the first hour fee is a little steep. If I had a small job that I need to get fixed I wouldnt call because it would not be worth the $135.00 first hour fee. The $45.00 for the additional hours works. But I would definitely call if its a project that was major. Overall great service!
