    In May (Where has the time gone? I am just now getting to this review!), Carleton B installed a 200 AMP BR 40 Circuit Indoor Panel, did a complete in home re-device (all switches and outlets), and replaced several light fixtures. He was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and patient. I found him to be quite pleasant and he was respectful of me, my time, and my property. Carleton ensured that I was not inconvenienced by having a generator available so that I would have some power for the ~2.5 days he had to turn the electricity off while he worked. All of the replaced sockets and switches are lovely, but the fully labeled panel is magnificent! Thank you again, Carleton. I would recommend Mr. Electric and Carleton for your electrical repair needs.

    I recently had Carleton from Mr. Electric of Gastonia install recessed lights in three bedrooms of my home and I couldnt be happier with the service he provided.     I have used Mr Electric in the past to install my EV charger in the garage and most recently a hook up for an induction stove. Adam and Daniel are not only professional but also extremely friendly and quickly added the line. They showed me where the whip was in the kitchen for when the stovetop was installed and walked me what I needed to do to turn it on.Daniel has always been professional with me taking the time to answer all my questions.The overall experience from start to finish was excellent I will be using them with any future electrical needs.

    Carleton and his team may have literally saved our lives! We bought an old house with a badly outdated breaker panel— basically a fire waiting to happen.     We were having issues with an older homes’ power flickering and breakers tripping. With a quick Google search, we saw a few local companies in Gastonia. I personally will always pick locally owned and operated over a corporate chain. Read the reviews for Mr. Electric and it was a no brainer!!Carleton Brown was our service tech and let me tell you, look no further for a thorough and professional experience. I have limited knowledge of electrical work and he explained everything to me as he did a walk through.     If you go through Mr.Electric, which you should, request Paul McNeilly.We needed a different outlet for a dryer we got delivered.First, the turnaround time for the appointment was really fast. Paul was super professional. He sent an update 30 minute before arriving and arrived exactly on time.He put on these shoe covers when he came into the house and gave us an overview of what he was going to do.He did a general safety check and then gave us a quote for the service. The quote was also really fair. They don’t charge you $500 for a 15 minute job. Lol. He was also very honest about what we needed and what was already in good shape.When Paul saw that we needed a special outlet, he went and grabbed it from a local store and cane back to install it same day.My husband and I are extremely happy with our experience. We will definitely use Mr.Electric for all of our future needs.

    Called in on Sunday to schedule a safety check, they were able to schedule me quickly and easily! Matt B came out today (Tuesday) to do our check, he walked us through the process and once finished explained our areas that needed attention. He informed us of all the new codes that we hadn’t been informed of and was actually able to perform a check, diagnostic and fix the wiring in 2 of my rooms in what seemed like no time. Matt was extremely professional and I would absolutely have him back to take care of other work needed!

    I do not have enough room in this review to express my love for these folks. No high-pressure sales tactics. Lots of communication about my appointment, including a picture of the person who was coming to my house. I was concerned about scammers, but they are the exact opposite. I was given space to look at options to make an informed decision. Once I decided to go with them, the work was done quickly to restore my electric service. I really like these folks and would not hesitate to call them as my first option in the future.

    Daniel, a Mr. Electric employee, understands and is able to explain to the customer why and how their electrical issues work or dont work. He has a very pleasant personality, is very professional, and absolutely knows his job. All of these comments are the routine things we say about excellent craftsmen, but when you watch Daniel stand on a ladder wearing the long, bulky insulated gloves splicing together live wires, his dexterity and focus is amazing.     Excellent services. Understanding my urgent requirements to have the circuit breaker reinstalled, they made some arrangement to have an engineer visit me at the earliest. Initial appointment was 3 days later, but they moved around and somehow fitted me in. Daniel, the engineer was super friendly and efficient. The replacement was accomplished within 10 minutes. Excellent service and would gladly recommend!

    The level of service and care we received from Matt was impeccable! During our first visit he did an incredibly thorough job of checking multiple areas to ensure he was able to pinpoint my exact issue. I also am pretty curious by nature and he did not mind at all the questions I was asking or the fact that I was tagging along with him when he was going back and forth to check for multiple issues. He was very patient and was a great teacher -- by the time our first service was over I felt very informed and very prepared for what the next step would be. By no fault of his, I took a few weeks to get back with him to schedule an installation and even though it was after hours and on his day off, he was quick to respond and get me scheduled immediately. Upon arrival, once again, his service was impeccable. Its rare today, especially in the electrical space, to get such an outstanding worker that isnt just concerned about the bottom line. You can tell he is dedicated to his job and takes the time to ensure his customers are fully on board before he does anything. As long as Mr. Electric keeps Matt employed, Ill continue being a customer.

    I have used Mr. Electric of Gastonia for a few years. The service is always excellent. All of the technicians are experts and professional. They installed a generator for me. They expertly service and maintain the equipment. Today I had a power outage and the generator did not kick in for whatever reason. I called and was able to have a technician come out the same day mind you. I feel like a valued customer.     I found Mr Electric on Angi’s list. They set up an appt to come on a couple days. They had something open up but it didn’t fit my schedule so we kept the original date. They set me a reminder the day before my appt and then again the day of. Carleton B showed up right on time. My window was from 8-11 and he was at my house at 8:00. Dressed nice and neat. Very friendly and professional wearing booties to protect my floor. He went straight to work testing all of the outlets and switches. He listened and worked to set everything up and then we waited and the breaker tripped again. I was glad he took the time to wait and make sure and. The pop was audible and he knew for certain which switch to change out. Seeing some damage on an outside plug he also changed it out. Adding silicon to make sure the outlet was sealed. He also changed out the older breaker.Then came the task of power loading the switches I have about 6 in a row and it was the process of trying one waiting and then the next etc. payment was easy with my credit card and he sent an email showing everything that was done and it had photos included so I could share it with my husband. He left after giving me his phone number so I could continue to monitor the progress. I texted him and kept him up to date on how the line was performing. This was a long process cutting into his time off the clock. He was so nice about it and put up with my texts into the late evening.The next morning I sent him a text that everything was going smoothly. Asked him a question and he was quick to respond and then he called to talk about how it was progressing. He is very nice and contentious about his job. I feel better knowing that it was fixed correctly.

    I had lost power to an entire wall in my house. Nothing from outlets or wall switch, which also controlled the porch light. Boy, what a different and positive experience! I got a specific appointment day/time, a call when they were 30 minutes away and an arrival exactly when indicated. After diagnosing, the problem was identified (along with some unrelated items which were not up to code). A quote was provided, which I readily signed. Thats when Daniel and Paul went to work. Problem resolved completely, within the quote, along with the comfort of some outdated equipment being brought up to code. My entire experience was exceptional.     I would recommend Mr Electric over and over. Carelton came out to look at the house and he broke down everything in an easy to understand way. He helped break down costs and explained what was needed immediately and what wasnt. Upon further inspection we found my smoke detectors didnt work. Instead of just leaving them since the work was to be done another day, he installed a working alarm to keep us safe until new ones were put in.And then to top things off, he moved things around in his schedule to make sure he and his colleague could return within the week to ensure we had safe electrical before the holiday.The day of repairs they showed up right on time. We had to deal with a lot of rain and also some flooding in my yard. They still worked hard and got around it and didnt even complain about my giant puddle. Somehow they didnt even track in mud. I am in the midst of a bathroom renovation and one of the contractors mistakenly cut the power to the master bedroom, closet and part of the bathroom. Paul and Luke came to address those problems as well as some additional requests - installing new exhaust fans in 2 bathrooms, installing new ceiling fan in a bedroom and additional lighting in the bathroom being renovated.and a few other tasks. They worked efficiently., kept me informed of what was to be done and status reports as the day went on.     Out of my 49 years on this earth, I can say this was the best customer service experience Ive ever had. We had a very dangerous electrical problem and this company came to the rescue to make sure that we were safe.     I recently purchased a very old house and definitely needed an electrical update as the former breaker box just looked down right scary, overloaded, and my breakers were tripping. Being in a new town, I didnt know which electrical company to trust; I called quite a few companies, received a few quotes, and just didnt get a good feeling from any of them.     I had a tankless hot water heater installed by Dominion Energy and when their “in-house” electrician bailed, I contacted Mr Electric ⚡️ to do the job of installing the outlet needed for the water heater. Communication was stellar getting the appointment for the following day and notifications when their technician Josh would be arriving (didn’t happen with the original installer, which was the reason they decided to bail). Quickly assessed the requirements and went over safety inspection of existing breaker box. Quickly completed the task and was able to get Gastonia inspection done so we could get hot water!     Matt was excellent installing 2 new circuits in my home built in the 50s with a terrible crawl space access. He did end up running into a snag with one of them because of the weird way the extension of my house was built that made the job run longer than expected. Any other company would have probably tried to charge extra for the extra man hours but the price remained the same as what was quoted and I appreciate that. Instead of rushing through the remainder of the job he got another technician to handle his next lined up job so that he wouldnt need to rush. He was very down to earth and was easy to talk to about what was going on (and what needed to be done to bring my house up to code for some of the existing wiring).I was not expecting this sort of friendliness from using a big company that has multiple technicians. I didnt get the feeling that his time was being micromanaged by some overseer and would get penalized for spending a few minutes over the average install time from talking to the customer from some extra questions I had. This sort of interaction makes a world of difference and is the main reason why Im likely to use them in the future for some bigger projects.

    We recently purchased a home that had aluminum wiring. We had the choice to either rewire the entire home, which would have cost probably 25k, or have the home brought up to code with adjustments to the switches and outlets. We took Daniel’s advice and opted to just have the switches and outlets brought up to code. Along with all the outlets and switches, the team also upgraded us from 100 to 200 amps, installed a new panel, a whole home surge protector, and updated our smoke detectors.In addition to the high quality work, Daniel was able to work within our timeline and make some adjustments to accommodate our move.
