I first engaged PPM in 2016 for our residential PV system (after considering several solar contractors). We where very satisfied with the outcome. The crew was courteous, professional, and neat. The job was a multiday effort, but the site was cleaned up daily.We recently (2022) needed to replace the roof. PPM did our de-install/re-install. The project required removing all panels, and subsequently replacing using new mounting hardware. Effectively, it was like a new install. PPM worked with use to coordinate around the roofers scehduling and as before, was effective and orderly in completing the multi-day project. (The attached photos are of the completed original installation, and the near completed re-install.)We are very happy with PPM and our decision to work with them.

We waited a long time to go solar, did a lot of research and decided to go with PPM after interviewing 5 other companies. We have a 10 kW system with 20 kW storage. On most days, with a little planning, we can cool the house comfortably, run our appliances and recharge the storage batteries enough to get through the night—at 95+% grid independence! On sunny days we can top off the charge on our EV. If the grid goes down, we stay powered without having to rely on a generator.Lead time for the project was very long (mostly due to our local utility company) but installation was fast and professionally done. The system looks good and works seamlessly with the grid. PPM has been responsive to the few, initial problems that popped up after startup and they made sure we were happy with the system. Our only complaint with PPM is that they weren’t communicative enough during the overly-long period where we were awaiting approval from the utility company (we were declined twice), but everything worked out. We love being solar powered!

PPM was solid throughout the entire process. I could not be happier with our choice to move forward with solar and PPM. The salesperson was very good at explaining variables and helping us choose the proper system. The PMs communicated every step of the way and the install crew was efficiently in and out. We had one small issue with the monitoring system, but PPM quickly resolved it. I would highly recommend PPM for your solar project!

I can’t recommend PPM Solar enough for your solar panel needs. They were clear about how many panels were needed and where they would be the most efficient. They did the install along with adding a Tesla wall charger (which they are certified to do) all in one day. Their crew has clearly worked together for a good while as evidenced by how efficiently they worked together. Their entire staff from the installers to the electricians, production manager, administrative staff etc are all great and seem to really enjoy their work. They are a local company that has been working in the area and I would select them again and have recommended them to my friends.

Our experience with PPM was great. Even when we went through a major design change they were exceptionally accommodating and just changed gears along with us without comment. From our first discussions, throughout the design and configuration process, installation, and post activation support, Alex and the team have been tremendous! Our system performs as expected and PPM’s estimates of solar power production are spot on. We are for all intents and purposes “off the grid” with our battery storage capabilities which is very important to us as it provides power for the well which supplies water for not only us, but especially our livestock!I highly recommend them without reservation.

From start to finish the team at PPM Solar excelled in all aspects of the process and experience. As a first-time solar customer, I had lots of questions about the best setup for my specific needs. I am in the country where power outages can be more frequent and prolonged. I wanted a system that could also provide backup power during prolonged outages. From sales through final inspection, PPM Solar team understood my situation and goals, designed a fabulous solution and worked with me on timeframe so we could do panels first, then battery storage in a later phase. For every question I had, they were super helpful in getting me answers... they even encouraged my questions 😃 Their install team was super professional and efficient. Their project coordinator was amazing, making my part of the process easy and efficient, and kept me informed every step of the way. At the final walkthrough, I appreciated all the expertise and recommendations they shared on my systems operation and best practices to keep the panels clean, etc. It is clear to me that this team is both expert in solar, but also they love solar. They bring that great energy to all their client interactions and are happy to educate us as we learn our new systems. I am thrilled they are my solar team! Exciting to be moving forward with them on battery storage. I am delighted to give them 5 stars on expertise, client relations and ease of the entire process. I am very pleased with PPM solar and glad we pursued solar panels. My husband researched various companies and price shopped and we decided on PPM solar. Mike was excellent. He answered all of our questions, provided written information, and was very patient with us. He was also very upfront about products regarding warranties and he let us know regarding changes in available products due to manufacturer shortages. Once we signed the contract, Remy was excellent with keeping us posted and communicating with us. She answered every single question or concern I had!!!! I wish she could help me with other projects that are going on in my life right now!!!We are happy with our panels and we like monitoring our production through the app. Customer service was excellent, the installation team was great. The gentleman who assisted us for our final walkthrough was excellent as well. The only issues we ran into were, we did not pass initial inspection through our county but Remy was right on top of this and it did not cause too much of an additional delay. They were even able to come out earlier for installation. The other issue is there was some confusion on our end regarding warranty information and how to access registered warranties, however, the team was able to reassure me regarding my concerns and answered my questions. From my initial contact to completion, the process was smooth and enjoyable. Thomas displayed both friendliness and professionalism, providing just the right amount of information tailored to my existing knowledge of solar power and financing options. In contrast to five other companies I considered, Thomas never employed hard sales tactics. He collaborated seamlessly with my roofing company, Worthmann, to ensure that my roof met the requirements for installing 28 solar panels.Throughout the design and installation process, PPM kept me well-informed. The crew demonstrated professionalism, friendliness, efficiency, and responsibility. After 20 days of operation, the system has been producing 150-200% of the power I require. I anticipate that it will prove to be the perfect solution once summer arrives and my old AC starts running. I was also able to keep my tree, which another company insisted on removing (my solar panels still have around 70% sun exposure).Overall, my experience with this small local company has been excellent. I am grateful for the outstanding work done by Thomas, Rachel, Alex, David, Angel, Cameron, Dylan, and one or two other young men whose names I didnt catch.

Awesome team, from the sales to the installers. They always kept giving constant updates and information on the project. Installation was done very quickly after contracts signed. I did have to wait an extended period of time for the utility to install net meter, but PPM worked with utility to allow for system use, while we awaited the back ordered net meter. Net meter issues were due to utility and not PPM and PPM was forthcoming that this may be an issue with my utility. I definitely recommend PPM as a quality solar installation company.

Ive amended my review from 1 star to 2 stars, now to 4. PPM Solar has completed the job, appears to have done so professionally and Ill be monitoring the system to see how much it saves going forward. Its a bit complex -- there are now solar panels and Tesla storage batteries in front of service from Central Florida Electric Cooperative, all back up with a General generator.The initial big problem occurred when 5 months after signing a contract with PPM nothing had happened and Alex the owner called me to say that to fast track the solar installation I would need to advance payments beyond the payment schedule. I immediately wrote a one star review. After doing so, Alex & PPM did what they should have done in the first place, perform work according to the contract and get the job done.Im now a satisfied customer who has been dealt with fairly and responsibly by PPM Solar after initially dropping the ball and making an inappropriate request for unscheduled funding in order to get the process back on track. Had this never happened, I would have given them 5 stars for the work that was performed.Cashflow woes? -- BEWARE new customers! I signed a contract on 2/7/23 for a solar system costing just over $150K for our home in Levy County. I paid over half that amount upfront to cover material ordering costs and to put the project into motion. Its now almost 6 months with no sign of materials being delivered or anything happening. Then yesterday I received an invoice for over $50K when no payment is yet due (since no materials have been delivered to my home). I called PPM and spoke with Alex Khokhlov who said they had big commercial jobs -- University of Florida and Duke -- ahead of me. After waiting for almost 6 months with nothing happening, I was also told by Alex that if I accelerated payments, my job would be done in the next 30 days vs. 60 days if I paid according the contract payment scheduled tied to benchmarks. Will my solar installation ever get done or will I ever see the $82,132.80 that PPM took on deposit? Wait and see. In the meantime, buyer beware.Update on 7/25/23, AlexZ said that if I didnt accelerate payments faster than the contract required, that the project would still get done within 60 days, so by the end of September, 8 months after the contract was signed. Well see. Will add progress reports every two weeks.Update on 8/14/23: building permit was issued on 7/31/23.Update on 9/1/23. Weve been promised the following by PPM Solar: solar panels to be installed on 09/06 & 09/07. 2 weeks later (waiting for battery delivery) the remainder of the equipment (batteries) will be installed. Job will be completed by the end of September. Updates to follow.Update on 9/23/23. Everything is on track to be completed by months end. If it is and it works properly, Ill amend the rating. Wont be able to give them 5 stars since it took them almost 6 months to start the job after the contract was signed and initial deposit made. And they should never have tried to shake me down to finance their business, but they seem now to have realized that and are doing their best to make amends and finish the job in a professional fashion.

Production Power Management did an excellent job with our solar installation! They were thorough, professional, and did quality work. They were booked out and werent able to complete the installation before year-end to make the tax break cutoff, but they deducted the cost of the system by the amount we would have saved in tax rebates, netting us the same cost overall. The system has been in placed for a year and the savings to our electric bill have been substantial. Highly recommend going with PPM for your solar panel installation!

This review is long over due. I had my solar panels installed in October 2020. The job they did was excellent and they communicated at every aspect of the process. Kelley was amazing.Four months later I had two Tesla power walls installed. The delay was due to Tesla. Again this was seamless. Everything has been operating to perfection. I checked out multiple companies a head of time and I know I mad the correct choice. I highly recommend PPM.

When we decided to go Solar we chose PPM as the provider because they answered all my questions and concerns. The sales representative, Mike was very accommodating. The placement of system was very important as it is a ground mount. We have nearly ten acres, and we placed it in a pasture so as not to be in our yard. We started the process in August of 2021 and we’re told that it would be late October for install. The system was not installed until mid-February. Our county permitting office was slow to process the permit according to PPM. The installation crew was very professional and quick. Once installation was complete it took well over a month for our system to become active. It was not until I myself contacted Duke that the new meter was installed, and we could begin generating. We would have given the company five stars, but because of the delays in installation and production was not just because of outside agencies. We believe much of the delay was internal as often times it would take more than one text or email into the PPM office before getting a response.

We had solar panels installed which included a garage wall charger for an electric vehicle. It seemed that running the cable through our attic was challenging, but they figured it all out and we are so grateful! The installers, Angel and Akeenen, even cleaned up after by vacuuming the garage! We appreciate their attention to detail and friendly service!

Power Production installed my solar panels back in 2014. Dealing with the installation crew was an elite experience. I felt confident on choosing this company and now after 3 years and two hurricanes I am relieved I choose d them. The 8.25 kw system I have has earned me a credit with clay electric and the utility company ends up sending me a check every December.EditThis is just a continuation of my review. I figured I should include the after install customer service since that is equally important on a large investment.I developed a leak both inside of my master bedroom and on a fascia thats above my sunroom. I called PPM and builder since it was a new construction to inspect the leak. Leak turned out to be from screws holding down the panels. Kelley from PPM came and inspected the roof and then came and sealed the roof. Now just waiting on them scheduling a roofer to come repair the damage from the leak. So far I see commitment from this company to their customers as well.Update: PPM took responsibility and repaired the roof. Outstanding customer service

This is a story of service after the sale. I realized one of our panels had gone offline. I called and left a voicemail (and email) after normal working hours. By 9:30 am the next morning, I received a call letting me know a work order was opened. By 1:00 pm that afternoon, technicians had arrived; and by 1:30 pm, that panel was back online after repair under warranty. About 18 hours from discovery to repair. Very satisfied. Thank you.

We recently completed an 8.829 kw solar system with Power Production Management. We could not be happier. From the beginning they explained all our options and the costs associated with it without putting any pressure on us. Once we signed the contract everything went like clockwork. We had one small delay - Trump’s tariff on solar panels- but that was resolved in two weeks. The time from delivery of panels to final inspection with the utility company took one week! We were up and running. PPM handles EVERYTHING - permitting, inspections, quality control. Communication between PPM and customer were excellent. I highly recommend them.

Working with PPM was fantastic. They installed a 9kW system for us and were outstanding the whole way through. They explained all the options, the reasoning behind the geometry for the placement, and the timescales and costs without ever putting on any pressure. They were timely, and responsive throughout the entire process. The best part was -- theyre a set it and forget it company. That is, once you figure out what you want and sign the contract, they do everything else...they dealt with the permitting, the inspections, the quality control, all that. I would recommend them to anyone!

After being overwhelmed and amazed at having such a good price and product package compared to all the competitors in the area, I was then amazed at the great customer service and attention to detail PPM provided. All the way through the process from sales, engineering, installation to commissioning they were thorough and informative. I am confident in their ability as a company to do solar right, and have no doubt going forward that if I choose to expand my system or move, they are going to be the ones I call to help. Thank you PPM, you do a great job!Just a little over a year update (7.9.2019), attaching a picture of my power produced (6.54kW system) along with my electric bills (Were on Clay Electric). Pictures speak a thousand words and I just wanted to show how nice it is not to have an electric bill for most of the year! The $28 fee is the Access Charge of $23 and what Clay charges our subdivision for lighting. Everyone else is paying that as well, I just consider that the cost of renting them as a battery for our night time electric use at this point in time. Eight years left and the system will have paid for itself compared against what we were paying for electric in 2018, add to that, electric is going up again around here so that will make this system in reality pay for itself faster compared to the new rates, our rates are locked in, and that is a beautiful thing. I just had to share this in case anyone is out there considering solar. This is the last year that they are giving the full solar rebate on the federal level (30% tax credit) so if you were considering, now is the time!Warning, rant* - If our Florida legislators were more household/family friendly for home solar we would not have had a bill at all in Feb and Mar - we had enough hours banked to get us through the winter, however, our meter was reset and we were paid a pittance, if they paid us what was in our KWH Credits Earned bank what they charge us for electric we would have made money! That said, that issue is not on PPM, just individual electric utilities and our legislators. I would absolutely still put solar up again anywhere we live that I can, and I think once power battery banks become better priced, we will be completely free of power bills in the future.Good luck with your own solar (& energy freedom) project!

Wow. Just wow.I wanted to wait a little before writing a review. Ive had the panels installed in my house for a little over 18 months. Everything is still working great, just as if they were installed last week.I noticed their professionalism in so many details, even in how they ran wires through the house. Great, great crew.Their project manager, Nina, was on top of every single detail and anticipated things so that I didnt have to wait on any of the install phases (you need to get a permit, then approval from GRU, and things like that). I was just trying to catch up with her 😀.Jason Gonos, one of the company owners, is a super straight up guy. He doesnt hide fees, costs, or anything like; quite the opposite, actually. He clearly cares about solar energy, the environment, and how we can leave this world a better place than we how we found it.I couldnt be happier with this install and I wont think twice before calling PPM Solar when I buy another house.

Solar System ReviewMy family and I have been looking to install a Solar PV system for some time and conducted about two years of research before we settled on Power Production Management and a SunPower system. We wanted to take advantage of the 26% American tax payer Federal Tax credit before it drops again in ’21. After much research, design and discussion with Mark, Jason, and the staff at PPM, we elected to go with a 17.35 Kw system with 53 SunPower E20-327 Panels with built in Micro inverters.Once we locked in an install date and all the permits, inspections and banking was setup we were ready to have the system installed. We planned on a three day install with the hope of only needing two. The crew that showed up was always on time and exceptionally professional. They were eager to explain to us what they were doing, always stopping work to answer any questions we had, and made sure that their work area was cleaned up each day.There were no issues with the system being installed or fitment on the roof. The engineering review that was completed months earlier was very detailed and ensured there were only minor adjustments needed once on the job. The panels, racking, and hardware are all of the highest quality and look seamless once they were installed.The coordination between PPM, my Utility and County inspectors was all taken care of and all inspections were an easy process that we did not have to wait on or deal with. Once the meter was swapped out and the system turned on we were generating angry pixies and spinning the meter in the other direction!The only negatives or issues I have are with SunPower. The PVS6 which is the communication portal that feeds the monitoring app and web portal was not operative for several weeks after the install. The team at PPM took an active role and opened a ticket with SunPower right away to get the issue resolved. Unfortunately, SunPower has farmed out their customer support to third world low cost operations and working with them to solve an issue that is not on their pre-defined answer sheet is a major headache. It took multiple email and calls by myself and PPM to get the problem fixed. Once it was online and my system was commissioned I could finally use the IOS App and online portal.The app and portal are the other issue. The portal and app are absolute garbage and provide little to no useful data about the system. The reporting done by the system through the PVS6 is very time delayed (hours sometimes days), the GUI and app interface are not customizable and unlike what SunPower and their literature stated, I do not have individual panel level production monitoring. This was a key feature I wanted and it seems as if their new portal does not include this feature. SunPower has really dropped the ball on their monitoring and I would recommend getting the Sense monitor with solar add-on clamps. The Sense device and app is much better in, design, features, actual real-time data, and customization.I HIGHLY recommend Power Production management for your PV solar install. They have outstanding people who care about your project, are knowledgeable and passionate about the work they do and will make every effort to ensure your system is installed on time and on budget.

Power Production Management did a great job. Nina did well with communication and was always available for an email or text to get an update or have a question answered. Angel, Adrian, Justin, Jeremiah, Malachi, and Veta all did a very good job on the install (they are getting a raise right?). Even with the little things that came up they took care of everything with professionalism and went above and beyond. These guys have a good install team. Omid was great with the engineering and drone prep work, as well as with answering questions. Kelly was great in coordinating the details of the county inspection, and with the final run through. Our kids really enjoyed meeting the team (and even playing a little lego with a few of them when they had a chance during a downpour), and overall it was a very good experience with a good company. They were flexible with a minor adjustment on where we ran the wiring, and did a nice job on making everything look professional. They cleaned up after themselves and took complete ownership and repair of the one incidental small sheetrock mishap. I have invited them all to call or drop by anytime and hang out, and I hope they take me up on it. Their prices for the quality panels and inverters was the best we found. You should get solar from them if you want a reputable group with reasonable prices on good panels.

The sales stage was convincing and great. The wait time for panels to arrive was horrible. The installation was great. The result was poor. The performance of the system is not as sold. It does not offset 98% of my electric bill. There are noticeably low bad performing panels next to good ones, so probably defective. I have reported and requested service and been waiting for more than a year for a response, getting none.. The system is a lemon and the company is a ghost. Definitely would not recommend it to anyone.Continuing my experience…. PPM has finally responded, without arguing or evading. Frankly, it has been so great that I have upped my 1 star review to 4 stars. The company was very quick and effective. We joined the local solar co-op for solar system installation. The whole process takes a while but I have to say it is smooth and pleasure to deal with this company. They have the instalment plan for payment which works out well for us and once the project is completed, provide all the receipts for Federal Tax credit. They hand hold you through the process and if issue arises, they explain to you why it is how it will be handled. For example, for my installation, there was some delay first due to raining everyday two weeks leading to my scheduled installation and understandably, they have to finish what has started before take on a new installation. They keep in updated on the new scheduled date and make sure I am okay with it. There is also shipping damage on the solar panels which also caused some delay but was promptly communicated.The installation team, electrician and office staff are top notch. They are efficient, courteous and very responsive to any question I have. For example, there was some imperfection at the garage drywall after a fuse box installation. I pointed it out to them and they hire a professional to come and fix it. They took care of all the permits and inspection with GRU, the utility company we used. They always try to minimize impact to our family during the whole process and only request to come into garage when absolutely needed. Quite a few times, they just called me to tell me that they will be coming to work on the outside part of the system and do not need to have access to inside of the house but just want to make sure we are aware of it.The final walkthrough is also pretty informative and accommodating for the time after work. They also walk me through the reporting system so I understand what the graphs mean and how can I be sure the system is working properly. I feel they have done a fantastic job and have confidence recommending them to anyone who are interested in the solar system.

Every day, whether the sky is cloudless or raining, I am happy that I made the decision to choose Power Production Management (PPM) to design, engineer, and install my residential 11.54 kilowatt photovoltaic system.I have always preferred to gather as much information and advice as I could before I made project decisions. From the beginning of my residential solar project to its completion, I believe I was afforded the benefits of a local firm who provided me with expert knowledge, advice, and options in an understandable and supportive low/no-pressure manner.My project was not a typical installation. I wanted to utilize the roof area of a pole building that had an unobstructed exposure to the sun throughout the day. That building has a clear span roof with metal web trusses and upright wood purlins. PPM engineers met the challenge by designing a system that included mounts that maximized connection to the purlins that accommodated 36 PV panels mounted horizontally. The installation of the panels and the wiring was done to the highest standards.PPM marketing and office personnel are wonderful to work with. They responded promptly to my requests and were patient with me when I had any questions. It was an added benefit having them coordinate all of the permitting and interconnection paperwork. My belief in the professionalism and expertise of PPM personnel was echoed by both permitting and utility company representatives; they had nothing but praise for the thoroughness and workmanship of PPM. Needless to say, I am delighted in my selection of PPM for my project. PPM Solar installed my roof-based solar system in the fall of 2020. I have had it up and running for well over a year and during this period my solar system has supplied 100% of my homes electricity needs, which includes a heated pool and spa and an electric car. In fact, I have had surplus power that I was able to get a credit back from FPL at the end of the year. The PPM folks who installed my solar system were conscientious, thorough, considerate, and extremely professional. Mark answered all my questions, and there were many, happily and patiently and offered me insightful feedback on the best systems available and my best options for getting the best system at the best price. In the end, I went with REC panels and Enphase microinverters. I liked the system so much that I bought stock in Enphase. I would highly recommend getting a solar system. I got a wonderful tax credit and PPM was able to connect me with the Clean Energy Credit Union, which financed my system at a very competitive interest rate. All in all, I would say do your homework and research because I did, and I found that PPM Solar offered me the best price on the best system and the entire process was seamless. I think if you are serious about installing a solar, then a call to PPM would be very prudent, and I know that you will be happy that you did.

When the solar coop launched in Alachua County, I jumped at the chance to go solar. I guess my eagerness showed, because my install was the first one of the Alachua County Solar coop. As I write this, my system has been in operation for about 10 days, so far everything is working as expected. My system looks great on the roof! It consists of 6.867Kw worth of Sunpower panels installed facing southeast, with an expected average production of 800-900 kWh per month, enough to hopefully cover 100% of my electric bill. I chose to go for a DC system with SMA grid tied inverters to take advantage of the Secure Power Supply offered by SMA that lets you use your panels to power critical loads when the grid is down and the sun is shining. Overall, the installers were very courteous and careful with my property. The installation took a little longer than expected, about a week or so, but the install crew was very professional and highly knowledgeable. The roofing aspect of the install was done very well, and there have been no roof leaks. The office staff was very responsive, efficient and professional. I really appreciate the nice binder they give you with all the relevant information about your system. I would recommend Power Production Management.UPDATE - 7/16/2018:My system has now been working flawlessly for 11 months and generated a total of 7,500 kWh (680 kWh/month) of electricity in that time. Im very happy with my decision to install solar with PPM.

During a time of short staffing and other numerous obstacles due to COVID, they have maintained a high level of professionalism and customer service throughout. Their proposal included options at different price points and capability. They were always quick to respond to questions, provided thorough explanations of both their proposed options and the system in general. They went above and beyond during the install, even staying until 10:00pm to ensure the job was completed and done correctly. They responded favorably to my interest in understanding the basic operations of the system and spent a good deal of time with me during the interconnect explaining the various components, emergency shutoffs and methods to monitor the system. It is important to have an installer that knows how to work with the local utility as each of them have different requirements. If these are not met, it can delay the interconnect for weeks. Power Production Management has a history with GRU and the Gainesville Building Inspection Department, so the inspection and interconnect went very smoothly. We solicited quotes from three solar companies and ultimately decided to sign with Power Production Management (PPM). We are glad we did!PPM was the only solar company proposing 400-watt solar panels which resulted in needing to only use the south and west roofs of our home. The design is aesthetically appealing and there are no solar panels visible from the front of our home. The other two companies proposed using the south, west, and east portions of our roof due to the smaller solar panels they proposed.PPM also worked with our roofing contractor to ensure that the solar roof penetrations were sealed to the same standard as the other penetrations, thus protecting our roof warranty. The penetrations enabled PPM to route all the wires through the attic resulting in a clean fresh look on the outside of our home. PPM also installed a dedicated ethernet line through the attic for an incredibly reliable connection to the Enlighten Solar Monitoring system. This is a real plus!In summary, PPM designed and installed a 10K-watt solar system that looks great and works well. The solar system has dramatically reduced our electricity bills and will ultimately pay for itself. The staff and owners of PPM are committed to providing high quality solar systems that are competitively priced. The installation Team was very talented, easy to work with, and clearly engaged in their work. While there were some communication issues during the process, ultimately these issues were successfully resolved. We have had two different installations with PPM. The first was a solar system (~2015), and the second the battery backup (2020). They helped us right size our system to maximize the sun exposure and offset our bills for the best balance in upfront cost and monthly bill. In the winter the system generates close to 100% of our energy needs and in the summer it takes the edge off the high usage. We are now close to cost recovery on the output. The battery has been wonderful- we were delayed due to COVID but the quality of the work was exceptional in both cases. We were lucky that our installations were challenging in both cases.
