Stephen came to our aid at 10pm one night when our electrical box/wiring caused our refrigerator to stop working. He is very professional, polite and considerate of your home. He does the job right the first time. Weve used him on several occasions and have been very happy with his work. It might take time to schedule him, but trust me - he is worth it. He is very busy and in this town a good handyman is hard to come by. He is worth the wait and in the cost savings from having to do the job over. Very happy customers!

Stephen is honest, professional and care for his customer. He replaced my dishwasher while explaining to me the steps. Hes also very handy to be able to solve the dishwasher fitting problem in a second. I will recommend him to everyone and will keep using him in the future. Because he is so good his voice mail box is usually full and the best way to reach him is to go on his website and fill out the form.

My original review was as follows (however, as promised, i am following up with a review concerning the quality of the work): Was displeased with their follow up. I have been trying to acquire services for about a month now and after making a couple of appointments, the owner seems unable to keep track of the times and dates that we have scheduled. I hope the repair (should it happen) goes more smoothly and I will be following up this review with another to address the quality of the work.After Stephen came to the house and completed the job, I felt inclined to alter my rating. The work was done thoroughly and quickly. He most certainly knows what he is doing and I am very pleased with the outcome. The price was as quoted.

Steve from Alfords Affordable services is the only person I will ever call again anytime anything breaks. There is nothing he cant do! Hes very sweet and humble and honest. We are a local business and he came out the day we called to give us an estimate (which was MORE than fair). He came back the next day to do the work. Not only did he do the work we contracted him to do, he did extra.After that, we had an electrical problem that another company had caused...and was at our store working on it, I called Steve to let him know and he came out without me even asking and watched over and made sure we were being taken care of. I just moved into a new house and needed several things replaced: light fixtures, shower heads, door knobs/locks, ceiling fans, and shelves. Stephen came on the exact day I asked and did not leave until everything I needed was complete. He left my home cleaner than when he arrived and he even took all the things I replaced with him so I didnt have to take them to the dump. 10/10 Would definitely recommend!

We had tried to do a home repair job on the bathroom and failed miserably, he walked us through what to do on the phone to fix a leak and then was available to come out the next day to fix the non urgent items .Hes extremely knowledgeable and was easy to get a ahold of! We put out 5 quotes in the area and Stephen was the only one to get back to same day .Definitely my handyman of choice!

I recommend Stephen 100%. He is very honest and skilled. We have used him in the past for electrical work. He installed pocket lights in our kitchen, hung chandeliers, fans, etc. His pricing is very fair and his work is awesome. I called him once for an electrical problem and he told me over the phone to try a few things before he came out. What he suggested fixed the problem and he didn’t cost us any money…other people would have come straight out and not been as honest.

I had a similar experience as many others. You really cant beat the value Stephen provides. He is an incredibly nice guy who does great quality work. He will not call the job finished until you are 100% satisfied. His prices are fair, actually more than fair, and hes flexible and willing to help in any way he can. It is refreshing to find someone who genuinely cares about the quality of his work and what he puts his name on. If you want someone who believes customers are important and will do the job correctly and with care, then give Stephen a call. I should note that calling is the best way to get a hold of him.

Stephen and David Alford are great! David installed a new ceiling fan for us and transferred the old fan to a different room that didn’t have one. It looks beautiful and works perfectly. When the second fan didn’t seem to be switching properly they immediately returned together and fixed the problem. Great customer service! They are honest, professional, reliable and very pleasant to deal with. I recommend them highly and will be calling on them again.

Words cannot perfectly describe how thankful I am to Alfords Affordable Services. We are a family-run restaurant in town and we called Alford’s Affordable Services to replace water-damaged ceiling tiles. Specific sized circles were traced and cut-- in order to accommodate the space for the lighting fixtures and the fire sprinklers hanging from the ceiling. Alfords Affordable Services responded to the job request very quickly: same day service and completed the job very efficiently. They also kept the job site very clean, gave great advices, and completely exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended! Thank you once again!--South Garden Restaurant.

Im so relieved! Im across the country on a work trip right now, and my friend who is watching my dog and staying at the house realized that the HVAC unit wasnt cooling properly when the inside temperature hit 85 degrees. This naturally caused some panic since its Memorial Day weekend and has been about 100 degrees every day. I called Alfords Affordable Services around 11pm, and the problem was fixed before midnight. My friend said that he was super nice and clearly explained the electrical issue. He even waived the travel fee. Ill definitely be calling the next time an issue like this comes up!

Steve has done a number of handyman jobs for us over the past few years.Usually it is a crisis - like broken water heater and no hot water, or plugged drains and bathtub filling with water, broken dishwasher and the dishwasher is full of dishes, or a broken window, or a leaking roof and water is raining into our Florida room.Steve makes great effort to solve the crisis quickly and does excellent work.I highly recommend his services and have his webpage bookmarked on my computer to save us when the next crisis happens.

Just got an emergency’s job done by this company and am extremely impressed! My closet fell who knows when, so I called yesterday and immediately got an answer. They came out today, assessed the issue, and purchased everything needed for the job. They even added an additional shelf in my closet. They reinforced everything on a stud unlike how it was originally installed and putties all the holes from the fallen shelf. 5 star job and I will be calling again for other jobs! Both guys were very friendly!

Wow my experience was amazing! My fire alarm started chirping and I have one about 15 feet up and one closer to 20 feet up, and he arrived with a huge ladder less than 10 minutes after I called to change my batteries! Called at 8pm on a Tuesday. He was very friendly and determined to reach my ridiculously high fire detectors. Also, his card reader wasnt working and I didnt have cash on me, so he was totally fine with just sending me an invoice and my landlord sending him a check later!

I had a great experience with handyman Stephen. He was extremely friendly, polite and showed up early. I had him replace the sink disposal and he even went to Lowes to pick up the part. He also fixed a lamp that I had failed to fix and some other people said couldnt be fixed. On his way out, my neighbor had locked himself out of the house and Steve went over and helped him out. He is just a nice person like that. You should absolutely use this handyman =)

Stephen emailed me back immediately, having already made a very good assessment of what the problem was just by reading my description. I thought for sure Id have to purchase a brand new dryer, but Stephen was able to repair it in less than an hour, at a very affordable price. Stephens knowledge of appliance repairs saved me A LOT of money! He also concerns himself with having a business that is Green, and educating his customers about sustainability.
