    Excellent experience employing HR Phoenix Electrical Services to repair and upgrade my electrical system damage after the May 28, 2024 storms in Dallas, TX.Losing power from a downed power line due to a fallen tree, I was immediately on the phone searching for emergency tree removal and electrical services repair.Mr Paul Rylee (Owner of HR Phoenix) answered my call and was at my house within the hour.After a complete review of the damage, and an explanation of code requirements by both the City of Dallas and ONCOR, I hired HR Phoenix to make all necessary repairs.The HRP Electrical Repair Team arrived promptly on the morning of 5/29 Wed.All repairs were completed the next day 5/30 Thr. with the team working through rain and thunderstorms that day.     I lost power to a wall AC unit, the ceiling fans of 2 bedrooms & my kitchen stove. I looked at Angi & read all of the reviews of the 7 companies that were the Pros provided to me for the service I needed. I called 3 companies & spoke lastly (around 9:30 pm) with Paul of HR Phoenix. He listened to my concern & took the time to explain what might have caused the problem. During the conversation, I was surprised to find out he is the owner of the company & answers all after-hour calls. Many of the 4/5 star Angi reviews mention him by name & are a pleasure to read. It is an extreme rarity in our society to meet someone, especially a business owner who actually takes great pride in their business, is empathetic & looks to provide a good service. I am very glad I had Jay & Roy come out to address the issue. They arrived on time, were very professional & within a short period of time found the trouble spot. They replaced the dead outlet of the first bedroom & cleaned up after themselves. I am a single, older woman & have been taken advantage of in the past by many other contractors. I am very happy, & I highly recommend this company for this is not how HR Phoenix operates. I will call on them again for any future electrical issue or installation I may need. Their pricing is fair. They did what they came out to do. There were no surprises, nor ugly surprises. In this day & age this is an exceptional thing to be able to say of any company! They are Great!

    I used Angi to get an estimate for the repair of a fluorescent light that was no longer working. It was a Sunday morning so I was not expecting to hear from anyone until the next day. To my surprise, Paul called me a few minutes later regarding the inquiry. A couple of hours later, Morgan arrived to do the work. He was friendly and competent and finished the job in enough time for me to keep my afternoon plans.     We wont have our work done till tomorrow but I just couldnt wait! Let me start by saying that Monday night our power panel went out and oncor came out and disconnected and we were told we had to repair it was like 2 am I called several electricians n Paul with HR Phoenix was the only one who responded! by 3 am he was at our door gave us a free estimate. Every other company wanted more than 80 just to come out! We were a little shocked at the price at first, so we told them we would get back cause it was a lot of money but after doing research their prices are very fair and very very reasonable we went ahead and contacted them yesterday. He came out today on time as usual. We made payment and got on terms with what needed to be done and we should be up and running tomorrow so I just want to SAY THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR BEING SO FRIENDLY SO CARING SO PROFESSIONAL AND UNDERSTANDING!!!!!

    We hired this electrician 2-man crew to install a new 240V outlet in the garage for a future electric vehicle charging station. They were able to drop a line in the wall between the garage and main house, and only the tiniest section of drywall was removed. Their service does not include the necessary drywall repair, but that is as expected. As it is, I can probably live with a tiny hole in a garage wall (that’s easily covered by a clock or garage stuff/ lawn equipment). They did provide a reference for a trusted partner to perform drywall repair. I also had them replace a burned out (smoking!) outlet that was probably a consequence of an inappropriately wired added outlet (previous owner’s kitchen remodel) in our old house w/ aluminum wiring. I feel safer knowing the new outlet is correctly and appropriately wired!The team was on time, professional, friendly, and efficient. They estimated their work would take 2-3hr, and it was 2.5hr. They cleaned up after themselves well. And, they managed to make all the repairs without turning off the power to the house, so the AC could keep running in our 100+ degree summer heat. Whew!

    I found a problem when I was replacing a patio sliding door. The receptacle wiring on both sides was run underneath the door.     I could not speak more highly of Paul, Michael and the HR Phoenix team. Overnight, a large tree limb fell on our power lines, knocking out power to our home during the hot Texas summer. Around 3am, I was scrolling the internet, calling electricians and leaving messages for them, expecting calls back the next day. To my surprise, Paul picked up and was at my door at 7:30am that Sunday morning. He provided a helpful quote, walked me through the damage and sent his team over later that day. They arrived on time, worked diligently and completed high-quality work. To make things even better, the next day, Paul and his team came back over (a 45 minute drive) when the power company asked to meet with them before they would reconnect the power.     I had Paul and his crew come out and install a 50amp transfer to my main panel with a conduit going to the back of my house where they installed a 50amp inlet to run my house on a portable generator during power outages. Paul did a free in person quote. His price was competitive with other quotes I got for the job. We scheduled the install. His associate master electrician and his apprentice arrived on time and did the install. The job was performed exactly to what I wanted and it works flawlessly. They followed city regulations and had the work permitted. His office staff were great in working with me to get the city inspection scheduled and completed.     I asked them to install a NEMA 14-50 Plug in the garage for EV charging. They do not provide chargers to hardwire, at the time of my service. I had requested that I wanted it to be installed ~3-5 ft from the electrical panel when I setup the appointment. Michael, the electrician showed up on time, but did not have enough wiring and had to go get more. Apparently they hadnt informed him of my initial request. I asked if I could get a wiring install that would allow for 50A charging in the future, in case I wanted to hardwire a charger later. Because they only have romex, they said they would need to use 4awg. Although I had read that individual 6awg THHN wiring could handle that, I agreed to the 4awg so we could get the job done. It took 3 hrs for him to go and come back with the wiring. Near the end, he couldnt make the 4awg work with the plug because it wouldnt bend to be pushed back in the junction box. I tried as well and its basically impossible with how thick the wiring is. My opinion is, they, Micheals bosses, shouldve known this up front instead of having him struggle with it, as it made the job take longer. Ultimately, they had to splice the 4awg wire to 6 awg by adding another junction box above the plug. Michael worked extremely hard and the final job looked neat and tidy. I would give Micheal and the company 5 out of 5 stars for his and their effort in trying to fulfill my request. However, the experience makes me think the company is lacking slightly on knowing the best ways to future proof for EV charging, so I took off a star for that. Any normal house wiring, Id definitely use them.

    I highly recommend HR Phoenix for any small to high level electrical work. The staff is extremely professional and willing to work with you on anything you may need. A neighbors tree fell on our power line and caused damaged to line and meter box outside our house. Paul, the owner, came by and examined the damage to ensure my family was safe first off, which earned my trust immediately. Once the damage was assessed, he worked with me and provided any support I needed while filing the claim with the insurance company. I felt no pressure as we waited for the claim to process. Once the work started, his staff portrayed the same professionalism and knowledge. My wife was extremely pleased as they were so respectable to trying to keep the noise as low as possible and warning before anything may get a little loud as we have a 2 week old baby at home. Last year all i needed was a couple of outlets fixed, the company i called wanted to sell me -both a membership and $3500 in kitchen light fixtures. All i needed was 2 outlets fixed! The day before i called Phoenix i called another company, they told me i needed a brand new panel at a cost of $6800. I called Phoenix and their electrician Paul was great. It took him about 2 minutes to figure out what was causing my breaker to keep tripping. A) i didnt need a new panel B) i didnt even need a new breaker, an old outdoor outlet was the problem.
