    So far, excellent! Theres more work to be done, which is why I cant complete my review, but I can say that Bo is an expert and was not held back by anything that the previous DIY owners of this house left behind. He replaced 3 ceiling fans for us, and we are totally happy with the results.

    I am very pleased with the service provided by Jason from AJ Long Electric. I had a power outage in the master bedroom and bath and could not figure where the problem was. Jason arrived on the near side of the arrival window and go right to work in diagnosing the problem. He then explained everything to me in terms I could understand and let me see what he was doing while he resolved the issue. All this was done in a timely manner on relatively short notice. I would use this service again and would recommend it to friends/family.

    Outstanding work by the electrician. He was very competent in his job and personable. I had an electric plug-in installed for an outdoor television. I would use this AJ Long Electric again for any future upgrades needed for my home.

    Job was well done, and greatly appreciate. But the communication running up to scheduling the work was hard. Mostly I think because you were waiting on the permit from Fairfax County but that took many many weeks and was frustrating because we were on a deadline (and your other supporting documents which were required for us to get approval for the work to be done from our condo assn). But it all worked out and Bo is the best!

    Bo Kel accomplished all tasks perfectly! He reinstalled the shorted Ground Fault Protector that had been incorrectly installed in the new kitchen 17 years ago. He further fully insulated all the neighboring switches and sockets as seen in the pic.

    Bo arrived at our house on Friday, July 5, 2024 just after 12 noon to take a look at one of our circuit breakers that kept tripping. The breaker was on the circuit with our tankless water heater, refrigerator, a few outlets and light switches. He was very professional and incredibly nice. He did a great job finding the problem. All is well now! I highly recommend AJ Long Electric!

    I couldn’t believe that I was able to get an appointment so quickly! Our electrician was Jason and he was terrific. He was very careful to clean up any debris, was respectful of my home, arrived on time and completed the work skillfully. I had 2 light fixtures reinstalled, 3 new fixtures installed after removing the existing fixtures, and a bathroom exhaust fan timer switch replaced. He did some trouble shooting to determine if it was the fan itself, or the switch. This effort saved us the cost of an entire new unit, which I appreciated. Additionally, he gave me advice on under cabinet lighting for another home. As soon as the fixtures arrive, I’ll be calling them again for more service. This company was top rated in CheckBook Magazine for both price and quality of work. The entire job took less than 2 hours.

    We had a great experience being able to get power restored to our house with a breaker box replacement. Visit was scheduled within a couple days and diagnostic was free. I got a reasonable quote that was right around what a couple other companies priced, but half of another competitor who did the initial assessment. Very professional electrician that got everything done in a day, and appreciated that he also helped put dry wall back up for me to spackle/paint. Felt like my options were honestly laid out and had a good discussion around the contract before repairs began. Owner felt trustworthy

    Lifesavers. I was supposed to get a dryer installed but had to reschedule because the outlet was the wrong type. I had a 3 prong instead of a four. I called and they were able to do the work the same day. I didnt want to go too long without a dryer.     Have used them three times. Bo came the first and third times and was extremely careful and knowledgeable and explained everything. Whoever came the second time did good work but there was more than one circuit going through the same box and one ended up damaged or failed shortly after service. Everything in that box was 45 years old and should have been replaced at that time. I wouldnt have needed the third service call. Will ask for Bo next time.

    AJ Long electric was great from start to finish. The owner who came and quoted my panel upgrade, EV charger install, and grounding install was very thorough and answered any and every question I had. Their quote was reasonably priced, and I had the job scheduled within a week. On the day of the job, the workers arrived in the allotted time slot and got to work. They made sure to update me when I’d lose electricity and were very courteous while on the property. At the end of the day, they were thorough with the cleanup and walking me through everything that was completed and the next steps (inspection, power company equipment install).If you’re in the market for an honest, reasonably priced electrician….you will be hard pressed to find a better one than AJ Long Electric

    The electrician didnt gouge me and he could have. The alcove outside an upstairs bathroom had a coffee maker and lights. There was a burnt smell two nights ago and the lights in the alcove went out. Turning the breaker on and off didnt do anything. It turns out there is a trip switch on the plug in the wall, and pushing in the switchwas all that was needed. I wish I had thought of that. The electrician just charged the lowest rate, which I appreciate. He also pushed open the hatch cover in the attic, and checked if the attic fan AJ Long had hooked up last July was working. He could hear it. With the hatch closed and the AC on, you cant hear it. I appreciate the electrician doing the extra checking for me.

    The technician that visited my house went above and beyond. I hired AJ long to install two new ceiling fans. One of my fans which I purchased on my own was broken out of the box. Rather than rescheduling the installation and at no extra charge the technician disassembled and repaired the new fan. It was not their product and they didn’t have to.Next the Technician was able to repair my second existing ceiling fan by replacing some of the internal parts. This saved me hundreds of dollars because I was able to return one of the new ceiling fans.Finally the total cost of the job less than their original estimate which was already the best price I was quoted and I called 5 different companies. When I contacted the company to ask for help, one of the co-owners contacted me directly and arranged to resolve the issue within a day or two.
