    The tagline speaks for itself!! The service and professional kindness and courtesy absolutely exceeded my expectations.Also, I had the pleasure of having Mike, the owner (coolest dude ever), come to do my estimate. So I wanted to update an old outdated chandelier and replace it with more modern track lighting. Only for him to school me on what I had done wrong and what I would need to do in the future.     Efficient, careful, so very capable. We have a 1948 home and we were anxious about the EV install. Everything from getting a quote, scheduling, install plus minimal drywall repair was seamless and exactly as Mike had laid out in his plan for us. We are grateful for this level of professionalism and deep care.

    I had all positive experience working with Mike and his team. The work was to install new wiring, outlets and light fixture for my garage in preparation for the remodeling. Technician were Ryan and Kevin. Ryan had many years of experience and had been with the company since the beginning. Most of the work was done in one day and they came back another day to finish a small unfinished job. They used all high-quality branded parts and the workmanship was top notch. Most of all, they are very easy to communicate and work with. There was an unforeseen issue during the celling light installation. Ryan consulted me timely and worked out a remediation that addressed every bit of my concerns. I waited two months to write this review to have enough testing period. All outlets and lights have been working flawlessly, and added the essential functionality for a workshop garage. I am very satisfied and would definitely work with Mikes team again.

    VP Services upgraded my main panel, installed a battery backup transfer switch, and installed an Emporia Vue energy monitor. All in all, a hassle free experience and a neat high quality job - from the estimation by Michael (soo informative) through installation and inspection. My only minor complaint is that the circuit breaker labels werent too accurate for circuits that spanned multiple areas (I ended up relabeling each circuit myself to add detail), and they could have done a neater job to tidy the wiring of all the Emporia monitor sensors (which I also did myself after adding a second unit). But overall, I loved the easy and effective communication, and the quality of the job. It was expensive ($$$) but no regrets.. Id use VP Services again!

    I had VP Services team replace old breaker panel and installed a main grounding system since my house didnt have that safety feature. From the initial appointment to the actual work peformed, I have zero complaints! They were efficient, polite and did some extra work that I wasnt expecting. I apologize, I do not recall the two gentlemens names who did the work, but they were a great team.

    We’ve used VP Services several times now, and we will use them again. We just completed and unexpected and drawn out kitchen renovation which included a variety of electrical complications. We had a few rough patches throughout the multi-phase process, (i.e. complications with city inspector, multiple technicians some of whom were more or less familiar with our project, lost wires) but all in all I was satisfied with the service and follow through of Mike and his crew. Ryan and Robert really went above and beyond to think outside the box to accomplish all my goals, sometimes working until 8PM to finish. The office was very responsive with scheduling and all the technicians showed up when they promised. The estimate was very reasonable and competetive with other bids I received. Even when things got a little hairy near the end of the process as we dealt with a pretty demanding city inspector, the technicians did what was necessary to pull it all together and we were all happy when the inspector signed off on the permit.

    Mike and his team are so great! I had a somewhat major electrical meltdown in my townhouse, and Mike arrived the same day to check things out, make recommendations and write an estimate for repairs. My work was scheduled for four days later. His wonderful crew came out and did a massive amount of work in one day and the results have greatly exceeded my expectations. VP Services will forever be my go to electricians because the whole team is wonderful.

    Mike and his team at VP did an excellent job. Their scope included a panel replacement/heavy up, installing some new circuits and new ceiling fans. They did a great job to work with our schedule when scheduling the work and final inspection, respected our home and were clean, and their work was clean and polished with minimal drywall impacted. There was some drywall damaged that fell outside of the normal patchwork expected and they were very client driven and took care of the repairs. Working in commercial construction, typically I would hire someone in the commercial world on the side for my house jobs, but for this we needed it to be permitted; I would definitely re-hire VO for future electrical needs. I also received 3 quotes for the work and they were most inclusive and competitive while also maintaining high quality.

    I cant recommend VP Services enough for their fantastic electrical work. Mike and his entire team exceeded my expectations making scheduling, communication and completion of work a breeze. VP Services was able to trouble shoot an electrical outlet issue, complete the repair and install a dedicated circuit for the sump pump. My electrical issues are gone, and my new sump pump circuit gives me peace of mind knowing my basement is protected.If youre looking for top-notch electrical services, look no further than VP Services!     Outstanding professional service from the team at VP Services! Really appreciate the attention to detail that Ryan and Jordan demonstrated on my electrical project. They went the extra mile to find a solution to a new wall outlet when we discovered a structural element blocking installation in the originally proposed location. Ryan thought outside the box to propose a new spot on an extra wall that will prove highly useful - probably a better location than the original plan. VP Services is now my go-to electrical contractor!

Mike came by our house to take a look at an electrical problem that was misdiagnosed by an inspector but he was able to diagnose the correct problem and fix it for us right then and there.     Mike and the entire VP Services team is amazing and I highly recommend them for any electrical needs. We had them come out to handle an emergency meter box issue in conjunction with Dominion Energy - Dominion didn’t show up until 3-4 hours after they said they’d be on site (no surprise there), but Mike and his team arrived right on time and waited until Dominion finally showed up in order to complete the work. It was above and beyond service in that regard. The work itself was done extremely professionally and with no issue. They explained every step of the process to us in terms we could understand, being that we aren’t electricians and don’t understand all the technicalities. They even helped collaborate with the Dominion folks to ensure they knew what needed to occur. We really can’t recommend them enough.

    After receiving several estimates, I hired VP Services to wire nearly my entire basement (both lighting and receptacles), replace my panel as well as ground my gas line. Id say the pricing was competitive and the workmanship was ultimately above expectations. It was a pretty large job and I was out of town on business while some of the work was performed. With such a large job, and given the circumstances where I could not be present for questions/clarifications, there are bound to be some hiccups along the way. My absense was not ideal and I expected some issues. I reached out about these concerns and was contacted by Michael Veeris, the owner. We had a detailed discussion to review each issue and he made sure to quickly schedule his team to come out and take care of everything to my satisfaction. Michael was apologetic and as a gesture of goodwill, he even had his guys take care of a few electrical issues that were not in scope of our agreement. He did not have to do that and it shows that Michael does value customer satisfaction. One of those issues was rather tough and took a couple of hours to troubleshoot. His guys were actually enthusiastic for the challenge.They were trying to chase down a dead receptacle and the original wiring in my house is like a birds nest. They were able to fix that issue and I am a happy customer!Also, Mary in the office who will undoubtedly answer your call and/or schedule your service is an absolute sweetheart. She was so pleasant to work with and made sure to go the extra mile to help without hesitation.

    I had a great experience from the first call to the time they installed the lighting fixture. For some reason the light in our office bathroom stopped working and I called VP Services. They told me I needed a whole new light fixture, which I already knew, I asked them to order it for me. They took care of everything. They brought everything and installed it. I didnt have to worry about anything. Their front office was very helpful too. Highly recommend them.

    VP Services was quick to respond to my Thumbtack request for electrical works. Mike S and Robert came on time and provided an estimate right after taking the time to understand what we needed. I ended up asking them to install recessed lights in all of our main floor except for the kitchen. I think that their prices are very reasonable for the work by certified electricians. Kyle P and Robert did a wonderful job despite having to open up several holes in the drywalls for the necessary wiring. Kyle P patiently explained what was being done to me (sometimes several times) so that I could relay the info back to my husband. They checked with us after each major step to make sure that we were good with the ongoing work. Mike S promptly responded to our concerns with potentially having to patch drywall holes in a 20-foot high ceiling and he offered to lend us the 15-foot A-frame ladder if we needed to repair the ceiling drywall. Kyle S and Robert cleaned up the walls, ceilings and workspace after each day of work. I have already requested for estimate in our next home project and most likely will go to them again for future electrical works.

    I cant say enough about the service I have received from V&P Electric! I blew the main fuse to my house and they came over within the hour to determine next steps. They then went to extra lengths to ensure my power was restored by the end of the day! I hired the company to install a couple of light fixtures this summer and was equally satisfied with their service. If you want personal service at a reasonable price, this is the electrical company you want to use!

    VP provides quality, professional services in a timely manner. We had an estimate for installation of a larger bathroom fan Tuesday, confirmed the bid Wednesday, and they were here at 9 am the next day. Additionally, they were able to give a second estimate, moving an outlet. via text and add it to the existing job. The upfront, fair estimate was the price we paid at the end of the job.We were also pleased with the customer service. They called to follow up and ensure we were satisfied with the job.     Kevin and Karl were our service technicians and they were absolutely phenomenal! They installed a new (replacement) light fixture in our home and did such a great job!     One of the electrical sockets in my childs bedroom was sparking. It was the weekend evening so I googled emergency electrical repairs. Only two companies were willing to come out over the weekend, and the other charged a whopping $200 after-hours fee on top of their normal rate. I went with V&P who did not resort to such an exploitative tactic. No regrets. Not only did the technician come out and fix the issue but we have since hired them several times to do a number of jobs and never have we been disappointed.Update: Our living room had one light fixture on one end. We suspected there may have been a second light fixture at one point that the previous home owners might have covered over so we called V&P. The normal method of using an electrical tester didnt find it so they tried some other ways and eureka - they found it on the second try. They installed our second light fixture and updated the light switches and we now have much better lighting in our living room.

    I cannot rave enough about this company. We were in search of electricians to add some power outlets and some other electrical work in our newly added sunroom. We called 3-4 companies. A couple people came by and took a look at the scope of work but then never got back to us. The other two gave us quotes that were either too outrageously high (our project manager had told us approximately what it would cost) or just didn’t seem to understand what to do and how to wire through electrical raceways in the sunroom panels. Then our PM himself recommended VP services. I gave them a call, and Mike and Nick came out in 2 days, seemed to understand exactly what was needed and that afternoon I received a quote, which was well within the ballpark we were told it would be.They continued to coordinate with the PM and yesterday we had Robert and Paul come by, get the needed electrical parts and in five hours they did an absolutely fantastic, clean, professional job. They ran into some glitches - as all remodels seem to - but they worked around it and solved all the issues. Inspection passed with flying colors and I’m expecting them back next week to wrap up.The rave reviews and five starts they have gotten all make sense now.

    Working with Veeris & Petersen, was very simple for estimate to completion of work. We met with Mike for our original estimate, which he was early for and provided us up to date alerts letting us know he was on the way. Once, the estimate was complete he provided it to us while he was still there which allowed us to ask any questions before committing to the work. The home we purchased did not have recessed lights in most of the main level rooms. Mike, helped us identify the number of recessed lights needed per room and the sizes that would look proportional for each room. As the house had multiple colors of outlets, switches and styles when we purchased it, we had them change everything over to one style and color which made a large improvement to the overall appearance of each room. Additionally, they brought together multiple single switches that were next to each other, into two and three gang outlet boxes improving the aesthetics of the room. When placing the new recessed lights in each room they ensured each light was aligned properly making them appear as if they had always been a part of the room. After the installation of the lights, we had one switch that was not working as intended and their team came out on a Sunday and immediately addressed the issue. They stand behind their work and we would recommended them to others for electrical work.

    Professional, honest and very knowledgeable. I wish I remembered the technician’s name, but I’m sure everyone there is as skilled and trustworthy as he was.Was suspecting an issue with my breaker. Technician was able to diagnose the problem pretty quickly and found the actual cause of my electrical issues, saved me a lot of money that would’ve been spent on chasing what I thought was the cause. I’ll definitely call these guys if I ever have any electrical issues in the future.

    I have had them do a few job and all their teams are fantastic but one team is a combination of top of the class customer service, reliable, efficient, friendly and amazing technical ability. If you can, ask for the team of Kevin P. and Karl. These guys came early, wore the shoe booties as they noticed we JUST installed new hardwood and had contractors at the same time painting and had dust everywhere. They also moved two lights and aligned them perfectly... some contractors and electricians dont like to be questioned when they align things and do their own eye ball test but this team when I asked them to use a level, use the laser one and said NO PROBLEM and I could not it wasnt rolling eyes thing which you get time to time. They installed two recessed LED lights and one had to even be relocated with precision, no extra holes had to be patched. In addition, they had to do a quick Home Depot run when they realized the team before didnt install something right and didnt complain and quickly came back. They also mounted a tv behind concrete/brick and added the double receptacle even when it was tight and tough. They troubleshot an issue that the team left the day before because the TV was touching the outlet and they came up with a quick solution with the bracket. This firm is amazing to begin with because they do great work at a great competitive price... their owner is a good guy who comes out to give a free quote, we forgive him for being an Eagles fan in Redskins country but this team made him proud. They wont upsell you and have a warranty to back up their work... trust them! I wrote really explosive negative reviews, so trust me when i say this firm and in particular, this team is amazing and can tackle any electrical needs.**Editing my review as they did a job a week ago, I have used Veeris & Petersen Electric a few times now and they just installed six LED recessive lights in a room where there were no lights and had minimal cutting, less than what they quoted my wife and I originally. They replaced five regular bulbs with LED recessive lights and no cutting was done, just a tad shaving for some which was covered anyway but the surrounding LED cover.During COVID, which is especially important to us, they adhered to social distancing, wore masks and booties. They covered all furniture and we have a lot of nice stuff and carefully moved things and cleaned up after.They also installed a Pablo Designs Bola Disc Flush light fixture in our Foyer. Its a high end light you can get from like a DWR (Design Within Reach), not some regular quality West Elm, Pottery Barn, or Crate & Barrel chandelier.They also installed a light fixture from Fils and lambert which is a boutiquey high end place that makes DWR and places like Restoration Hardware look mundane both quality and price wise for the most part. This was one of their less complex pieces but still very delicate and modern light fixtures, priced almost at $3k. They installed it with ease and it required balancing it with a chain/metallic rope. They also got rid of some 16th century looking molding (medallion) meant for a castle that clearly older people would favor and they had to carefully cut it out and left no damage, I was really impressed. It was huge and glued on molding to the ceiling that could have easily crashed to the ground if they were not careful.Karl and Kevin did an amazing job, Veeris & Petersen Electric is priced competitively, often the cheapest and most important, they are very high quality. They can install products that are often installed by specific high end contractors recommended by the resellers/vendors as evidenced of them installing the Fils and Lambert light fixture which btw can easily go way above $10k. Too bad their owner like the Eagles, the only down side to them... thanks again Karl/Kevin, they are the dream team.

    The quote we got was very reasonable compared to some other places. I appreciated that they took the time to come by our place and inspect the work that had to be done and also show us samples of the lighting options. The employees showed up on time in a snow storm!     We were very pleased with our service from start to finish. We called on Saturday evening and an electrician showed up on Sunday morning at the scheduled time. After listening to our description of the problem, he was able to zero in on the issue and determine that it was a problem with our connection line, he spoke to Dominion Electric during our call to them and checked back later in the day to make sure it had been resolved. AND, because the initial visit was a free estimate, there was no charge.

    We moved into an older home and the power in the nursery room went out. VP responded that day and found lose wires that showed signs of burning. They were able to come out 48 hours later and replace all the outlets and switches so the house was wired properly to prevent electrical fires. Everyone was professional and wore ppe. I felt very safe which is important with an infant in the house. They finished the whole house in 5 hours which was very quick and minimally disruptive.

    Buying a home built in the 50s means you will definitely incur some costs in bringing it up to date with this century. VP installed motion sensor lights for both the front and back yards.     Rian, Chris, and whoever I talked to by phone (sorry I forgot your name) were all fantastic. They fit me in on the day I called, probably outside their usual hours. They determined the solution to my problem in no time (replace a damaged 50-amp circuit) and got me on the schedule for a few days later, and were even willing to negotiate price. They were punctual on both visits, knowledgeable, friendly, and got the job done right the first time (sadly notable these days) with minimal mess. I know who Ill be calling in the future!
