A pretty AWE-some old school hardware store, plenty of hands on hardware, tools and lumber. Yeah they dont have the volume to go head to head with the big box down the street but make up for it in service. They have a great nursery and gift store on site dressed up really nice for the holidays. Its been there a long time, Im hoping for many more years

Even though they arent known for their large amounts of discounts, most of the crew are friendly and helpful creatures. You can get almost everything you need for your project in 1place and the establishment is pet friendly. Of course it probably depends on what kind of pet you have. I have not tried wild animals over 130lbs😁

I LOVE Pierson’s for both hardware and garden and I love their seasonal Christmas store. I am proud to support a local business. I would give them 5 stars but I have encountered far too many cranky employees (especially in the garden center) for that extra star. I’m going to be honest, when I’m approached by employees in the garden store, I feel like they are begrudgingly asking if I need help. Are they understaffed? Poorly trained? Maybe too many cranky customers? Whatever it is, it kind of ruins the experience sometimes. I would also LOVE to see their native plant section grow.

Pierson is a favorite place of mine to shop. They have a vast array of different types of plants, some for growing food and other bedding plants to make your surroundings simply beautiful. They always have helpful employees around to help you find the perfect plant for your needs. Today we also needed a couple stepping stones. A very nice man was eager to help us. Just an awesome place to visit, even if you dont need anything it is just so lovely and a gorgeous setting.

This is a locally owned business and prices are competitive with the Big Box stores plus the money stays here in HumCo. I ordered a new key fob for my car. It took a few weeks. Jan helped me order it. Awesome person. It took longer than expected to get but Jerod kept me updated and scheduled me as soon as it arrived. I arrived early for the appointment and brought my kitchen knives for them to sharpen. Robert was on it. He knew the machine well and explained it all to me. Very professional employee. Sean the key guru took my car in at appointment time. Very professional and treated my vehicle with respect. There was an issue with the key ordered so Sean explained my options, return it and await a new one or refund. I chose refund. Sean walked me up to the business office and introduced me to the money lady and explained what I needed. Money lady refunded me immediately. While the key program didn’t go well everyone was professional and friendly and I’d still go back to this store. Jon was also tops in professionalism helping me with another issue.

There are always 5-star staff here. The products are decent as well as the selection. They will order other things you may want that they dont carry. The garden center, lumber yard, and main store are well maintained, stocked, and staffed. Weve done several remodels with their materials that have turned out really well. So glad we have them in our area.

I love this place. The help is awesome. I usually get asked two or three times if I need any help and help is always right on. I had to just recently order some interior doors and everything went perfect. Eureka is lucky to have such a place. I sure like it alot, way better than Lowes and Home Depot. Give it a try.

I have shopped there many times. But my favorite thing there is their nursery. I am a photographer and they graciously allowed me to take many photos of the flowers they carry. Some of my best work was done there. So many types to splendor at! Their orchid selection is amazing! Stop in and see for yourself!

Piersons building center is a great place to go shopping as far as a one-stop-shop but their prices are pretty sky high for a drill that they have on Amazon and let me just say Amazon does not have the most competitive prices just the most convenient prices and it will be dropped off right at your doorstep was $150 plus tax and on Amazon was 89 dollars plus tax and free shipping. When I asked them if they would price match Amazon they looked at me like I just took a poop in their toilet display and said we dont do that no price matching wed be out of business. So I bought the drill anyways. I looked at the box and its a model from 2017 the year is almost 2019 the 2019 model is out and theyre still selling it for more than $50 more then almost anywhere else. Their staff is great theyre pretty knowledgeable about most things they seem to be the more helpful hardware store around. I would suggest shopping around and comparing prices because you might be surprised.

Ill describe 3 really good experiences over the last month and let YOU be the judge. The latest was the youngish light-haired paint guy matched the paint on my old, faded piece of siding so unbelievably well that even I cant see where my touch-up begins and ends... and it wasnt easy, he tried a number of times till he was satisfied. Im just blown away by how extremely good and hard-working he was.2 - the work gloves selection!!! My brothers motorcycle gloves were stolen and he had a 9-hr drive ahead of him, so we went there to get some to tide him over... astonishing selection, really high quality leathers, and so low we had to laugh!! Lastly, when I went to a nation-wide hardware store for about 12 wire nuts, I had to buy a huge amount to get those 12 nuts. Went to Piersons afterwards and saw that you could just grab the amount you wanted from the bin and pay just pennies versus the $10 I paid the hardware store.And their folks are SO encouraging and smart!What, exactly, is not to love here???

One of the best stops for whatev you might desire that you would first think of home depot or lowes when shopping, except...Its not laid out all impersonally line a warehouse warehouse and there people generally get you with a smile and a desire to make sure you have a great shopping experience. They dont just say aisle five without ever looking up to make eye contact and actually enjoy taking you to three produce youre asking about - at prices comparable to three gigantiloid, cold, warehouses.Its truly a joy, like shopping in a small general store, except its about as big as those other monolithic, vacant icing that most people generally think of when getting building or gardening supplies, but with the general hardware store items too.I cant say enough good things about my experience everytime I need an item and visit Piersonstallship awards this establishment:⛵⛵⛵⛵⛵Five sailboats!!.

Prices for Humboldt County are what they are. Piersons has a great selection with competitive rates. I will say their customer service far exceeds the local Ace on Henderson. And there are plenty of employees seeking out customers to help vise having to search for an employee to assist.I especially like seeing the local fund raiser bake sells on the weekends, shows that Piersons cares about supporting these groups.I also love the old man looking down at the store. My first time seeing him up there, I didnt realize it was a painting!!! Love it :)

Great selection!It may be because we have only small hardware stores near home, but we love to stop at Piersons any time we are in Eureka. The staff is helpful and cheerful. Parking is a mess, but only when they are busy.

No one enjoys going to Home Depot. Its a necessary evil. God help you if you actually have a question about a product or means and methods because youll only get a blank stare. Not so at Piersons. Their selection is as comprehensive as what youd find at an HD, and the associates are actually knowledgeable. Theyve given me some solid tips on many of my hundreds of trips into the shop. This is what a hardware store should always be like.

Once again, they had what I needed as a homeowner builder. Replacement gutter guard, 1.99 for 3 feet, white brown or black, I needed 6 pieces of brown to repair an existing gutter. And 3x 6 Plexiglas for an exterior window cover. Cut it down to 3x5 with the scoring tool they recommended. Love that when something needs repair from a 10 year old gutter to a hundred year old window, they usually have what I need. Very knowledgeable people working in areas they know quite a bit about... Glad youre here, Piersons.

I had mixed feelings about this place. It was beautiful and Id been wanting to go to the garden center for ages.I asked two questions of staff though and was ignored both times. My mom and I were followed by someone who seemed friendly but didnt speak to us directly and we couldnt help but feel singled out.I did love the koi fish pond though and my mom got gardening supplies she needed. Maybe we just went on an off day? Im not sure but I did see a few plants I might go back for in the future!

Piersons is the place to go for anything repair or replace on your list. They have a well stocked lumber yard, and their garden shop is fantastic to look through and purchase from when you want gorgeous flowers, bushes, trees or seeds to start your own garden. Christmas time is especially fun. They have a great Christmas shop. And many local artists bring their goods to be sold.
