I hardly ever needed a plumber in the 39 years my wife & I have owned this house, but a sump pump failed after a hard rain and flooded my finished basement.After 3 Well-known plumbers that advertised on TV told me it would be at least a week before they could schedule someone to fix the problem, I called Mikes Plumbing.They told me they had one of their plumbers already working in the area and they would contact him and call me back with the estimated time he could be here.He arrived within the estimated time, reviewed the problem, and gave us several options. He had everything necessary right on his truck to completely fix the problem and the whole job took less than 2 hours. The cost was both reasonable and less than I expected. When he was finished he cleaned up all the boxes.I had a 2nd emergency on Dec. 30th and called Mikes again. They sent another of their workmen right over and Chris also reviewed the problem and gave me several options. The job was done right away and like the first experience, the cost was both reasonable and less than I expected.If you need a plumber my two experiences with Mikes Plumbing have proven they are knowledgeable, professional, and easy to work with. Mike Murray is the man! I needed a plumber and my friend recommended Mike Murray to me; telling me his family has used him several times and he was stellar.And thats exactly what he is. He came out, diagnosed the issue (I needed to replace my hot water heater) and was able to get a new one installed the same day for a reasonable price.His communication was great, he walked me through the issues, making sure I understood what was going on and my options, and was just an all-around pleasant human being to talk to.I will be recommending him to all of my friends and associates; I even have his card on my fridge now for the next time I need his services!

I recently hired Mike’s Plumbing and Heating Services to address a leaking valve under my kitchen sink the plumber, Jarod,recommended placing all the valves, as they were likely to start leaking overtime. He replaced the old valves with updated components, including three shut off valves and two supply lines. Jarod was both professional and friendly and he did an excellent job.I scheduled the appointment with Amy, who was incredibly patient and friendly even when I had to call back several times. I was impressed that they were able to schedule the appointment on the same day I requested service; a rarity in my experience.Another great aspect of Mike’s Plumbing and Heating Services is their pricing structure, they charge by the job, not by the hour, which helps save money. Overall, I’m very satisfied with their service and I highly recommend them.

TLDR: Excellent work, quick turnaround, OK pricing.I contacted Mikes Plumbing when my hot water heater began leaking from what I thought was the bottom (usually signaling the need for a replacement unit). I was able to set up a service date the very next day first thing in the morning and they arrived well within the estimated time window. The plumber, Chris, was able to diagnose my system and landed on the fix being a replacement expansion tank, pressure relief valve and a new hot water cutoff valve. Total cost of work was $900+, which fell towards the high side for this range of work, but I decided to proceed due to the job needing to be completed ASAP. The job took approx. 90 minutes to complete and once done, I was beyond satisfied with the quality of work. My previous setup was mostly shark bites and mediocre materials while the work Chris performed consisted of the proper fittings and quality materials. Fast forward a few days and the fix has not leaked a single drop! Overall, I could have shopped this around and gotten cheaper quotes for the same scope of work by a couple hundred bucks, however I dont think the quality of work would have been as nice and with such quick turnaround.

Normally, I fix things around my house.But, I got a real problem when the bath diverter fawcett failed.I couldnt work with a too short copper pipe, would have to get into the wall. I thought, No, this requires a professional repair. I called Mikes plumbing, a very nice young lady took my details.She thought she could get a plumber to me in 2/3 hours.Less than an hour and here comes the plumber (Jarrod?)No problem, fixed the fawcett, covered the hole in the wall with a new access panel. I told him I had another problem with a seized exterior fawcett, brought it up to code with a freeze preventer and a drain point. We called Mikes Plumbing for our leaking water heater. They immediately came and discovered mold and water damage around our tank. The crew were very friendly, polite, and compassionate to our circumstances. They thoroughly explained the importance of removing the mold and assured us theyll return as soon as we were ready. They referred us to a mold specialist who did an excellent job. Once the mold was removed, we called Mikes to install our new water heater. Mike kept our new water heater at the shop for a month until we were ready and installed it the same day we called. They were very professional, caring, and did an excellent job. We will definitely call Mikes for any future plumbing needs.

The first plumber could not figure out where a leak was coming from. I am flipping a house so I have hired a lot of plumbers over the past year. Mikes plumbing is the best. Other plumbers come in with slightly better pricing but when they leave the job is not done or is done very sloppy. Ive had to call Mikes on several occasions to fix mistakes other plumbers have made. I finally learned my lesson and will call Mikes the first time every time. When you call, ask for Will. He enjoys his work and really knows his stuff.

Very happy with their service. I’ve used this company since I bought my home (several years ago) and have not strayed away from them. A few examples of why I use them. As a first time home buyer I needed a toilet replaced. I contacted Mike’s plumbing and they replaced the toilet and went in the basement and marked all my valves for me for easy identification and walked me through how to properly shut off the water and run the sink to ease pressure.Here we are present day, and their service has not changed. I’ve used them for all my plumbing needs from expansion tanks to water pressure issues. They’re very responsive and clean! During this recent power outage and cold snap we experienced a bursted pipe in our upstairs bathroom. The pipe was a heating pipe within our baseboard heating system. I called multiple HVAC and plumbing services. Some said they couldn’t repair it, another company came out and when they arrived said they couldn’t repair it and another stood me up two days straight. I finally called Mike’s Plumbing and Heating after a search on google. I explained the situation and was told the owner, Mike, would give me a call. Fifteen minutes later, to my surprise, Mike called. Mike was genuine and professional and showed a general concern for my house and my family. He said he was going to try to send a technician out same day if he could. He called back in about one hour, and said they could send a technician same day. Chris was absolutely amazing. From the moment he walked in the door he was respectful and kind. He treated my house like his own. He was knowledgeable and provided the highest level of quality and customer service. He took care of the issue and went above and beyond explaining the boiler unit and labeling multiple water lines in the basement to make things easy and clear in the future. It was apparent that it was important to him to do a good job and fix the issue for our family. The heat now works better than it ever has in our home. I highly recommend Mikes Plumbing and Heating to anyone. We will not be contacting any other plumbing/heating service in the future other than Mikes. After another company botched my new gas stove installation in my old house with dated pipe fittings (yes, there was a gas leak after they left, fortunately I knew where the cutoff valve was), I decided Mikes was the way to go. Even though they are a bit pricier, I knew from the last time Id hired them to do a somewhat tricky plumbing job that they would do it right. And from the moment I had them on the phone, my anxiety began to melt away. The gas-fitter technician showed up on time, with enthusiasm and a can do attitude, and carefully explained why the gas leak occurred and what was necessary to get me back to cooking in my kitchen. When he finished in short order (the old connections had to be replaced, bringing the piping up to code), he confirmed there was no gas leak by carefully testing and my stove became a comfortable part of my kitchen once again. When I called Mikes Plumbing for a plumbing estimate, I wasnt sure if I was looking at simple repairs - or major replacement. The technician (Will) arrived promptly at the appointment time, and after we discussed our plumbing problems, he provided a variety of repair/replace options - at competitive prices - from which we could choose. He took time to explain exactly what would be involved with each choice, and did not pressure us to select any particular option. His knowledge and professionalism sold us immediately on Mikes Plumbing. We chose the repair option, and surprisingly, he began work immediately! Will discovered that he had to order some replacement parts to finish the job, and discussed those options with us before proceeding. Three days later, he was back with parts in hand - and within a hour, the job was finished! How refreshing to work with a company that is focused on quality workmanship and customer service, and not just there to sell its customers the most expensive replace options. What a great company!

Had a very good experience with this outfit -had a leak behind a wall in the laundry room of a condo. The plumber came on a Saturday to repair a pipe and replace a valve in a very awkward space in the wall. The plumber (named Charlie) who came had an air of professionalism and dedication to the job that seemed like he came out of the 1950s. He was cheerfully respectful; very communicative on the nature of the work to be done; neatly dressed; efficient in his work, and professionally competent. Even before he started doing the work, I had the sense that I had stumbled on a really professional plumber and that the repair would be done right. And it was. This place is spectacular and I would recommend them to anyone. This is the first time I have ever used a plumber and my expectations were exceeded. I called them because I purchased a gas stove and I needed a gas line ran upstairs. Mike came out and explained the work he was going to do and how much it would cost. After he was done he cleaned up and there wasn’t a trace that any work had been done. When the stove was delivered I had to coordinate with them and an electrician to have everything hooked up. They were very flexible, agreeable and courteous (I think I called 3-4 times that day) and they were able to send someone out that day and my stove is up and running. I would HIGHLY recommend.UPDATE 2ND EXPERIENCE: I had a clog that would not drain and the backup smelled terrible. Will was awesome. He explained my options and when I asked his opinion I felt like he was honest and wasnt trying to upsell me. Everything was put back and was clean when they left. He even fixed a drain when he was putting in the new plumbing and he also moved my dishwasher hose so my garbage disposal didnt smell like a dead skunk every time I ran it, and he tightened the disposal because it was loose. This is the first time I have had to use them for a problem (last time was to have a gas line put in) and they are always fantastic. Whenever I have contact with any of the employees they are always happy, are always helpful and seem like they like their jobs (which I think is incredible) and that speaks to the company and its culture. I would recommend them to anyone, and if I ever need their services again (I hope not, at least not for a very long time) I would not hesitate to call.

Integrity is everything.They replaced a kitchen faucet and they replaced a flush valve in a toilet. Everything was fine with the kitchen faucet, but a couple of months later the toilet started a very slow leak. They came and checked it out and said it was from the bolt attaching the tank to the base. They could’ve tried to say this is a separate part and it is on you, but instead they said our man was the last person to touch it so we are going to replace it for no charge.Sometimes things just go wrong. As far as plumbing repairs go, this experience was very good. I called for an diagnosis & estimate of my situation. This was not an emergency, but I was still able to get an appointment scheduled quite quickly. Chris W came to my home assessed the situation and gave me an estimate. He didnt pressure me to get the work done, but rather advised me of what needed to be done, options and cost. I called back later that week and the following week Chris came back to remove the sewer pipe from my basement. It was a dirty job, but Chis did it quickly and cleaned everything up (and then some) before he left. I found the price to be quite reasonable and was very satisfied with the service. I would definitely call Mikes plumbing again and highly recommend them too.

Finally - a company that doesnt just talk the talk of customer service, they walk the walk. Human beings from beginning to end. I called with a non-emergency issue and was given an appointment window between 9 and 12 the following morning. At 11:30 I was about to check on things when I received a call from Mikes explaining that the first job ran into extra time, the paperwork was being done and the tech would arrive within the hour. Twenty minutes later the owner called to let me know Will was on his way. When he arrived I explained the situation and he gave me 4 options - the last was to do nothing that day but to think about the other 3 options. Will explained what caused my problem and how the toilets differed. I made my choice and both toilets were installed the same afternoon. AND he cleaned up after himself. I am recommending this company, and Will, to friends whether they currently need a plumbing service or not. And in the fall, Will is coming back to replace my water heater. Chris W. was knowledgeable, efficient, personable, and professional. He installed a hot water heater in the basement, but not before protecting everything first. He also cleaned up thoroughly, and treated the space as if it was his own. He explained everything to me clearly, and anticipated my questions before I asked them! I have always been satisfied by all the plumbing work Chris has done for me. I highly recommend him.

We had to have the water hookup behind our fridge replaced, and were unsure if we were allowed to per our condo agreement.After sending the the plumbers, Charlie and Jake, away, we called our condo association and were told we could have the work done.We called Mikes immediately to schedule a new appointment for later. The dispatcher turned Charlie right around, and he and Jake got right to work. Less than an hour later, our fridge had running water, and Charlie and Jake were on their way.I whole-heartedly recommend Mikes Plumbing and Heating.

I discovered a very plugged clothes dryer vent that was beyond my physical ability to repair. Mike’s responded on the first work day following my call. The plumber and his assistant arrived at my house on time and ready to solve my problem. They were very knowledgeable and went right to work solving the problems with my 1971 era vent, mostly rebuilding it. Cost was high but a professional plumber expects a well-paying salary. I needed a professional and I have a new vent that I can count on.

I had an AMAZING experience.. I missed the guys name sadly but he had truck 15. They showed up on time with notification beforehand. They were so precise with their gas line btu calculations and sharing with me their thoughts along the way so I was in the loop as to why they were leaning toward certain options over others. They said to do it properly they should install new and have a inspector go over it to insure it’s safe. Not only did they say my line was too small but they used a simple chart to show the BTU limitations of my current gas line that was DIYd from the last home owner.Most people who use plumbing services probably aren’t in the best mood because of the financial expense. Here’s my bottom line.. I will spend more money every time without blinking an eye for people who are customer oriented and get the job done. I keep coming back and spreading the word of company’s that make it hard for others to compete because there THAT AMAZING. MIKES IS THAT COMPANY!!PS the front door mat that protected my new one and the super clean professional uniforms were great touches.

This guy is awesome, goes above what he needs to do without charging you anything extra. Not only was he nice enough to go around the house and label all of the valves and what they were but months after his visit to the house, we got a new fridge and were having issues with the water going to the fridge. He called us back after an initial call to the office and looked at pictures from his original visit to our house and told us what to look for and which valve supplied water to the unit. Would absolutely recommend his services and if ever need plumbing work done again he will be the go to.Appreciate all the help!

Will was very helpful in sharing his expertise about draining and replenishing water in radiators.Will explained that although draining the radiators is a fairly sraightforward procedure, replenishing the water is complex (especially for the older boiler system we have). It costs $446 to drain the radiators & convection units on 3 levels. Will provided 3 cost options (corresponding to the level of work required) to get water back in the radiators and have the heating system up and operational again.Overall, my experience with Mikes Plumbing & Heating was favorable and Will was friendly and informative.

Mike from Mikes Plumbing is a true life saver. I was recently in a jam during the process of selling me home with a bathroom addition installed by a Maryland plumber not licensed in Baltimore County a few years back. Mike and his staff was fast and extremely friendly truly taking the stress out of my predicament helping me get the bathroom fixed up to code, and inspected by the county, so I can continue with the home selling process. Mike really gave me the sense that he has pride in helping you and makes the process a pleasure. If you need a plumber in Baltimore or Baltimore County there is no one else you need to call. Its a shame Mikes plumbing does not work in Georgia... I just might have to fly him down here if I need plumbing work done in the future!

Matt, Mike and the rest of the crew at Mikes Plumbing and Heating have been incredible to my wife and I. Were new home owners and shortly after moving in ran into a TON of issues. Water leaking into the basement from random sources, a sump pump filled with clay, and sinks and toilets that spit out gravel every time wed take a shower. It was a mess. After talking to a handful of other Plumbers and Waterproofers who could not offer any real solutions to the bulk of our issues we lucked out and found Mikes. They were able to pinpoint the source of each problem and went right to work getting our house back together.
