My Electric Home did a wonderful job installing our new SPAN smart panel. Jason was easy to work with and went above and beyond when it came to getting it ready for inspection. Jason and his team were very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions about making our house more green and conserving energy. I would highly recommend My Electric Home to anyone.

My Electric Home (MEH) performed a major electrical upgrade for us in April 2024. They increased our service from 150 amps to 200 amps and consolidated two main electrical panels and one sub-panel into two SPAN breaker panels. They also installed a SPAN Drive EV charger to help us charge our two electrical vehicles (EVs). We had been interested in the SPAN panels, so we had sent an inquiry to SPAN. They referred us to MEH, which is an approved SPAN installer in our area. Jason Altshuler, the Founder & CEO of MEH, made an appointment to come to our home and discuss our plans. We knew from the first moment that Jason would be a good person to work with, when he pulled up in front of our house in a Tesla Model 3. He not only talks the talk, he walks the walk. He gave us a proposal, which we accepted, and the work was done approximately two weeks later. He uses a Master Electrician as a subcontractor to do the electrical work, and a crew of three spent two days in our home. When the electrical inspection was finished, and the work was approved, Jason presented his final invoice, which we were surprised to see was almost two thousand dollars lower than his bid. He had included allowances in the bid for some additional work that might have had to be done, but when it wasn’t needed, he took the allowance amounts out of the final bill. Jason describes his approach as integrity and fair pricing, and we heartily would agree, especially since these characteristics are so rare in business these days. We spoke with Jason about a future project - being able to use the large battery in our Rivian as a house backup battery in a power outage. The equipment to do that doesn’t exist today but should be available in the next 12 to 18 months. Jason told us that when the equipment to do that becomes available, he’ll install it first in his own garage to test (his work truck is a Rivian R1T). Once he is sure it works, he’ll bring us a proposal to install the equipment for us. We have enjoyed working with Jason very much, we’re very happy with the work his crew did for us, and we’ll look forward to doing future projects with him.

I want to share my great experience with Jason at My Electric Home.DESIGN: Jason listened to my requirements for a new Water Heater. I wanted a Heat Pump Water Heater (HPWH) for its great efficiency, the Denver and Xcel rebates, and the Federal tax credits. We settled on an A.O. Smith HPTU-50N unit and at the last minute, I found out that there was a newer one available from A.O. Smith (HPTS-50). Jason worked with Xcel to got it approved for their rebate. I dont think that many contractors would have taken the time to do this, because Im the only one who gets the benefit and he only gets more work. But Jason worked with Xcel and got it approved. They also installed an anti-scald valve which is now code but I also wanted this safety feature for when our elderly parents visit. Another item that I requested was an additional water line with a 1/4 turn ball valve coming out of the water heater to the whole house humidifier. All the work was top notch.COST: Jason had the best quote on HPWH. Although price is always a determining factor for me, that is by no means the only thing that matters to me.PERFORMANCE: the HPWH that we selected has about 350% efficiency, which seems to violate the laws of physics until you understand how it works. The other factor under performance was how loud the unit would be. I heard nightmare reviews that the HPWH were annoyingly loud. Weve had our unit for 2 months and couldnt be happier with how quiet it is and how well it heats water - its only function.INSTALLATION: the guys at Colorado Eco Mechanical did a great job of installing the unit and quickly correcting a couple of items. The copper pipes look like a work of art. The HPWH has been working flawlessly and I expect many years of trouble-free service.COMMUNICATION: Through the entire process and even 2 months after, Jason has communicated extremely clearly, quickly, and has been very responsive to my questions/concerns. Just today, I had the unit inspected by the City of Denver and it passed. The inspector wasnt here more than 5 minutes from the time he walked in the door.PROFESSIONALISM: Jason and the guys from Colorado Eco Mechanical were here on time, every time. They were very professional at every stage of the process. They respected our property and cleaned up after all the work was completed. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND My Electric Home and Colorado Eco Mechanical for your homes mechanical systems and electrification needs.

Jason was fantastic to work with. I had a pretty complicated project including an electric service relocation, service upgrade, SPAN panel and EV charger. Im very happy with the finished product, and Jason provided great communication and follow-up throughout the process. Im looking forward to working with him again on future projects.

Really enjoyed working with Jason to get a mini-split air unit installed. He was knowledgeable about the applicable rebates and tax credits. His partner installers were great at inviting design input and did excellent work. My Electric Home is a Colorado Clean Energy Fund RENU and Xcel Energy approved contractor helping to speed up process of utilizing their programs. I look forward to working with them on a future electrification project.

Our experience upgrading our panel to SPAN with My Electric Home was seamless. Jason took the time up front to understand our electrification needs and explain the plan moving forward. His bid was competitive and easy to understand with options on how much we wanted to do at once. We had a lot of “unique” details that needed worked through on our older home and Jason made sure we understood our options. When it came to the install, scheduling and timing were handled easily and professionally. Our electrician Scott was a truly outstanding professional in his field. He showed up early and stayed longer when we ran into things that needed fixed from other previous “creative” electricians. He wasn’t satisfied until it was done completely AND completely right. Scott continued to ensure we understood what he was getting fixed back up to code in our home circuits and why it was important. We’ve had the SPAN panel for a few weeks now and it has been working great. It’s awesome to be able to learn my own home and circuits through the SPAN app, as well as, know I am well prepared for upcoming improvements to my home. We will definitely be reaching out to Jason and My Electric Home when it’s time to consider adding residential solar and battery backup to our smart SPAN panel.

I cannot say enough about how thrilled and satisfied we are for having selected Jason Altschuler and his company My Electric Home to manage the installation of an all new HVAC system in our home, which included: a brand new electrical Panel on side of house/ Electric Vehicle charger in garage / a cold climate rated Bosch air supply Heat Pump that provides year round heat AND air conditioning / and an electric Heat Pump Water Heater, plus back-up ultra high efficiency furnace that would only come on in an emergency. We live in south west Aurora, and our home hadnt been upgraded or remodeled in the 27 years that we had owned it. But after getting a new rooftop solar system about 5 years ago, and after the federal and state green energy rebates increased significantly in the past year alone, we decided to electrify our home. We started with Costco by getting a bid from their service partner, Cooper, but Cooper was pushy on the sales and the pricing was NOT transparent... no labor itemized. And they were shockingly not very informative about green energy and heat pump expertise. The tried to push old fashioned technology on us until we insisted on a heat pump bid from them. Then we went to Jason Altschuler/ My Electric Home, and he coordinated everything for us as an entire suite of upgrades for our home (unlike Cooper), and made numerous visits to our home to educate us about green energy options, pros and cons, and was transparent on all pricing and specs. He became more of a trusted partner in our pursuits and strategic goals, not a pushy salesman. In fact, his prices came in lower than Costco/Cooper and we received higher quality equipment all around! My savings was cold hard cash with Jason, while Cooper only had a Costco gift card to offer, NO savings from Cooper themselves.Weve now had our equipment up and running for the past 5 months-- during hot spells and cold bouts-- and everything runs perfectly, we are so happy and delighted! The equipment is modern and high tech, and leverages our solar panels. Jason has even stopped by our home since installation, on several occasions, to check in with us and answer additional questions we had. He and My Electric Home are wonderful and were very proud to recommend him to any individual wanting to Go Green and wean off of fossil fuels. Best experience that weve ever had finishing a major project with a contractor.

Jason and his team just wrapped up installing a smart heat pump water heater for me last week. On time, efficient, and affordable. Jason completed all the paperwork for the Xcel rebates and Denver rebates, I just provided a couple signatures! Jason covered it all and made it a very simple process for me. Would definitely recommend for all your heat pump, heat pump water heater, EV charger, and other green tech needs.

Jason Altshuler and his team at My Electric Home did an outstanding job at my personal residence where my old gas water heater was failing. I have had the unpleasant memories of being without hot water after a water heater failure. This time I wanted to replace early and I wanted a heat pump water heater. Jason was prompt, informative and assisted me with selecting the correct sized unit. Installation was smooth and coordinated with both electrician and plumbers. The rebates and cost savings make heat pump water heaters very affordable.

Recently decided to get an electrical service upgrade from 100A to 200A and a panel upgrade from my ancient 1960 era electrical panel to a SPAN panel. Jason from My Electric Home and his team did an excellent job getting the old panel out, coordinating the service upgrade to 200A, and getting the SPAN panel installed. The SPAN panel gives you data driven insight to your homes electrical usage. The benefits of the SPAN panel are even more significant if you have or are planning solar panels, batteries to store the energy, or an EV charger. Overall, Im happy with the result and wouldnt hesitate working with My Electric Home again.

My gas water heater went out, but we wanted a heat pump water heater. They were able to get us switched over quickly and their work looks great. They showed me how to work everything and answered all of my questions. Ill definitely call them first when my furnace is ready to go.

Jason and team did a fantastic job designing and installing our new heat pump water heater, air source heat pump, and EV Charger. Great Work!

  • Review 17 (2024-12-09 - Rating: 5)

Jason is very organized, prompt and a delight to work with. They helped electrify our house (solar, battery, EV charger, new Span electic panel) and when he saw wed be able to add a heat pump hot water heater for less than its cost ($300 less than the system would cost without the hot water heater), he reached out to make sure we were aware of that. Install was efficient, well communicated and a seamless experience.

  • Review 18 (2024-07-11 - Rating: 5)

Has been fantastic to work with every step of the way. Had them install solar, a home battery, and a new heatpump system, and I couldnt be happier.

Jason and his team were excellent! He worked with me given my goals and budget and helpedme find a mini-split/heat-pump system that worked for my home.Jason is an excellent communicator, he responds timely, is up front, and removes information asymmetry so I knew what was happening, when and why.Jason was also very adept and timely at helping me capture all of the inventive rebates available. This was crucial for me, and he is very organized about this and very knowledgeable. Everything went as planned and as he said it would.I would highly recommend him and his team and would definitely work with him again. This was one of the smoothest home upgrades I have ever done.

  • Review 22 (2024-01-22 - Rating: 5)

I recently got a heat pump hot water heater through My Electric Home, and I cannot speak highly enough about Jason and his contracting partners. I recently had a really bad experience with another contractor on a different project, so it was very refreshing to find Jason and will be using him for future home electrification projects. He and his team were highly professional, transparent/honest, clean, trustworthy, responsive, and reasonably priced. Any homeowner would be lucky to work with him, and I recommend him to anyone needing home electrification projects do so!
