I have a wood island that needed refinished. Between John, ulisses, and Suzanne I have a perfect finish. I must tell you with our parties, grandchildren and traffic, it can take all situations, hot or cold. It makes my 20 year old house look brand new! John custom made an oak pedestal with mitered corners stained to match my hardwood floors. It had to support a 70 to 80 pound sculpture.He was very easy to work with, professional, efficient and reasonably priced. I am very pleased with his workmanship and finished product! So thankful for Johns beautiful re-finish of my 28 year old dining table to update it. It is gorgeous and the lighter color actually brings out the woods beauty better than the older darker stain. He was so easy to work with and sent pictures regularly to keep me updated on the progress. It was a very quick turnaround, and he picked up and delivered. The table is gorgeous!! I couldnt be happier!!

Nothing short of detailed, quality work! Very talented. Would highly recommend. John had great communication throughout, built a custom reception desk with a live edge amd delivered it yesterday. It brought the front desk area of our spa to life. Every person that walked into the spa today commented on it. ♡♡♡

He repaired a coffee table that arrived broken from the seller, he repaired an antique mahogany table base that broke, he went all the way to Baltimore to pick up antique furniture and help me assemble it. John is super talented and I am extremely happy with my piece of artwork! I contacted John as I wanted a 3D mandala for my studio. I sent a couple of pics of ones that spoke to me as well as color schemes and VIOLA! I recieved the finished project in a couple of days. He is a great listener (so important for customer satisfaction) and brought me in during the whole process to ensure that we were on the same page. John is fantastic! He is very responsive, creative and fun to work with! This is my second project with him. In our first project, he designed a sofa table that could change into a game table. He listened to what I was trying to do and helped design the exact table that I wanted! In our second project, he designed a wall hanging made out of old oars. It looks exactly the way I wanted! We will definitely use John for any future projects!

John was professional and one of the nicest, most genuine people I’ve ever dealt with. He was communicative the entire time, from the beginning to the end of our cabinet refinishing. He gave us a timeline and stuck to it and when issues arose with our old hardware (it’s so old and specific, it’s not easily found in stores), he worked to find a solution for us. He also took the time to answer all of our questions. The quality of his work is *insane* impeccable. We couldn’t be any happier. So glad we scooped Quirky Wood Company up as soon as John went out on his own because I can bet his schedule will fill up fast with new projects! Thanks, again, John!

He was super thorough about making sure the wording was exactly what my family and I wanted, and after recieving it today we couldnt be happier! Its gorgeous and I cant wait to see my grandmothers reaction this weekend. :)

John just completed his second refinishing job for us and I couldnt be happier. He refinished the top of a coffee table that had been damaged and he matched the color absolutely perfectly. The finish he put on the table is beautiful and should protect it from future damage. He is wonderful to work with: he promptly responds to inquiries and completes work quickly. He kept me posted on all steps of the work. If you are looking for someone to work on wood furniture or kitchen cabinets (his first job for us was refinishing a dinged up white wood cabinet door), look no further!
