I highly recommend the Carriage House for furniture restoration!Tom did a great job on our ~100 year old antique serving hutch, removing layers of old finishes to reveal the tiger oak wood, and then worked closely with us, always communicating, sending pictures, and mixed a custom to stain to achieve the beautiful new finish. He is very knowledgeable and passionate about doing a great job to satisfy the customer.

Wow! My chairs look so much better. Tom replaced the seats (new fabric and foam). Such great attention to detail, he even added piping around the edges which they didn’t have before. The selection of fabrics to choose from is also superb. We’ll be enjoying these for many more years, and at a lower cost than buying new chairs!

I highly recommend Carriage House II for they are professional and courteous while delivering quality output. Recommend Diane and her team unconditionally. We brought our Airstream Flying Cloud 27 travel trailer dinette and sofa cushions in looking to replace the dark brown manufacturers fabric with a bright and durable marine leather. Could not be more pleased with the work and service. Her replacement seat covers fit perfectly. Team is very flexible and easy to communicate with. All questions were quickly answered. Craftsmanship is excellent. We werent in any particular hurry to get the project completed but it went quickly nevertheless. We felt the price was very fair. 110% satisfied and would definitely work with Diane again.

Tom and his team are miracle workers. We were having two Queen Ann chairs reupholstered when the owner came down with cancer and could not complete the work he had started. Tom took in the “basket case” and finished the work beautifully in less than a week at a fair price. Cannot recommend this company highly enough.

We sent in the corner of our beloved Thomasville sectional sofa to have the frame repaired. We also sent in two sagging cushions for repair. So very happy with both fixes! Appreciated receiving a full video explanation of the problem and great communication on pickup and delivery.We will definitely keep Carriage House in mind for any future furniture projects. In fact, we just sent in a vintage red cedar chest for restoration.

Truly outstanding! We had two recliners reupholstered. Craftsmanship and materials were both excellent... the chairs look better than new. And the service was superior... very helpful in selecting fabrics, pickup and delivery was smooth, and every step was done on or ahead of schedule. Working with the folks at Carriage House II was one of the most pleasant professional relationships Ive ever had. From start to finish they were the ultimate pros. Diane upholstered a chair for us; she is truly an artist with a great eye for detail and a wonderful aesthetic sense and talent. Her husband refinished and painted antique furniture for us, and I could not have been more pleased with the results. His work is stellar also. From the beginning, Diane was incredibly efficient, professional, prompt, responsive and a great communicator - and she pulled all of this off during a global pandemic! I have no idea how she managed it. For many years to come, I will treasure the chair she upholstered and equally treasure the secretary her husband painted and the old fashioned icebox he refinished for us. I know my grown children will treasure them, too. I look forward to working with Carriage House II in the future for my upholstery and furniture refinishing needs. This company is one in a million, and I highly recommend it!

Diane did a kitchen renovation for me. She and her staff were outstanding! She is extremely professional, meticulous and thorough. She communicates extremely well, down to the smallest detail. She also has great thoughts on design from which I was lucky enough to benefit from. Diane does not give a tentative date for your project. If she says she will be there, she will be there. So refreshing for a contractor! I would recommend Diane and her crew in a heartbeat without hesitation. She is a pleasure to work with!

I couldn’t be happier with the job Carriage House II & Diane did reupholstering 2 vintage parlor chairs. We inherited 2 mismatched chairs from my husband’s Great Aunt & wanted to give them a new life. After about a year of trying to find a reputable upholsterer, and 3 consultations later, I finally stumbled upon Carriage House II. I sent an email through their website & she responded with a call less than an hour later. I sent her photos of the chairs and she was able to provide me a written estimate and some professional advice shortly thereafter. She always responded promptly although I know she was incredibly busy with many on-going jobs. Somehow she made me feel like her top priority. The chairs were completed when promised and the work was exceptional. I now have 2 matching, beautiful parlor chairs that are the center of my room. The best part is that she made it possible to give these chairs a new life and keep them in the family for many more generations. I plan to use her upholstery services again but I know they do so much more to restore & create beautiful woodwork as well. I highly recommend.

It was more than a pleasure working with The Carriage House Two! We wanted to have a console table painted from black to an ivory color and we weren’t sure how that would turn out. Well, it exceeded our expectations! The quality of the paint job is so professional, as if it were purchased this way. It is smooth and even without any imperfections at all. Diane was so responsive to emails and phone calls and helped with the process from beginning to end. We will definitely use them again!!

Diane and her team refurbished a much loved Eames style chair and ottoman for us. They did an excellent job and were thoughtful about communicative throughout the process. They also picked up and delivered the pieces at no extra charge. Diane is warm, friendly and responsive. She also respects that even though a piece may not have great intrinsic worth, it may have great sentimental value.

We used Carriage House for a major kitchen cabinet refinishing from stained to painted cabinets. The quality of work was outstanding. Carriage House met all time deadlines, kept us well informed of next steps, and remained on the job site at each phase until the job was completed. This was not a cheap process but the hours of work that went into this and the quality of work justified the price. I would strongly recommend Carriage House and I would use them again for sure. We are very satisfied with the job.

Many years ago I bought a living room chair from Thomasville who is no longer in business. Over the years this became my favorite chair (and everyone else who had a chance to sit on the chair). As with any product, the use and wear on the chair took its toll on the seat and back cushions. I just couldnt give up the chair so I started searching for upholstery repairs. I am fairly new to the area and didnt know anyone so I chose the Carriage House II and requested a quote. Diane was very easy to work with and gave me a quote that I believed was very reasonable. I just received the cushions back and its like sitting in a brand new chair! Thank you Diane. I will not hesitate to recommend you to anyone who needs your services.

I wanted to share a very positive experience I had with Diane and Carriage House II. I had purchased two bedroom furniture items from West Elm many months prior, and to this day, there was a offensive chemical type smell off-gassing from both items. Seeking solutions, I found Carriage House, and thought it might make sense to inquire into stripping the furniture down and removing the lacquer finish on those items, and then have a specialist re-finish them. Diane was super responsive from the minute I emailed her to inquire into what the process would be like to have this done, as well as the associated cost.Being the honest businesswoman as Diane is, she called me up right away and walked me through the process, though her suggestion is that I not go through with the re-finishing as the cost to do so, would have been higher than the original cost of the items. I was disappointed to hear that the cost was prohibitively high, but I found it incredibly refreshing that Diane was so honest about it all.I ended up trying to make a claim with my credit card company to try and recoup the original purchase cost, and through that process, Diane was also very helpful and mentioned she was willing to write a letter in support of my claim if I ultimately needed that.At the end of the day, I didnt work with Diane to re-finish my furniture items, but I felt compelled to leave this review for Diane for her professionalism and responsiveness.

I contacted Dianes company to inquiry about the possibility of contracting her people to repair my new bathroom vanity, which had been damaged by my bathroom contractor, rather than have the contractor replace the entire vanity.Diane shocked me in two ways: (1) she explained to me in the most thorough and understandable way possible why my vanity couldnt be repaired to match its original factory condition (2) she offered to write me a letter, which she did, to explain the reasons for this in a professional manner.I havent encountered such an honest business person in a long, long time. As a matter of fact, Ive grown cynical about contractors in general, because recently Ive experienced quite a few instances where they have been less than honest about their work and are willing to perform inferior work for which I paid good money. To top it off, they never apologize for doing the wrong things!Again, Diane will personally explain to you if she can repair something or if she cannot. For that, I rate her highly.Thanks, Diane!
