    I had a problem with a ceiling fan working, but the light fixture was not. Schumann Electric accurately diagnosed the issue over the phone. I was able to replace the switch myself, which resolved the problem, but the call definitely saved me a big headache. Ill definitely call again next time I have an electrical issue.

    Respond time is great. Called and a day later they responded and arranged an appointment time. They called 1/2 hour out from getting here that day. Replaced ceiling fan and cleaned up well after installation. Asked them to replace outside flood lights which was not in my original request but they were able to do that.

    Tom and his team did an excellent job. They repaired a few of our external lighting fixtures. I submitted a request online for a quote. Tom called me back within minutes to schedule an appointment and offered a very reasonable estimate for the job. He was highly responsive throughout the process.     I had a great experience with Tom and his partner. They were professional, timely, responsive, and helped quickly switch out some circuit breakers that continued to trip. They also added in surge protection to mitigate power glitches that are common to my area.In addition, they installed a patio ceiling fan for me when I was expecting that to just be assessed during the visit. They were able to do it during the same visit. It was a pleasant surprise!Id definitely use them again!

    Wow, these guys were great! Best experience I’ve had with any contractor hands down. We needed recessed lighting and Tom gave his opinion as to how many and where to optimize the lighting and he just nailed it! Steve was courteous and so knowledgeable.     Ive used Schumann Electric on multiple occasions and I will not use another electrician in the region. Tom is extremely knowledgeable and takes time to explain the problem and the solution to me, someone unknowledgeable about electrical work. Tom and his team have installed indoor lighting and maintained our outdoor lighting. The team is extremely professional and considerate.     Tom is a true professional who was great to work with- in addition to completing the install of our outdoor lamppost he was willing to listen to my frustrations specific to not understanding the wide ranging variety of light bulbs available to consumers. Tom walked me through the various options on the market, which bulb I should be looking for in various situations along with what to avoid. I will no longer loathe going to the local home improvement store to replace bulbs thanks to Tom. I highly recommend Schumann Electric to any/everyone in need of an electrician.     We have used Schumann Electric twice now to install light fixtures and other various projects - they helped us with an outdoor lighting issue and most recently after having an issue with a light they installed (that was not their fault, it was manufacturer issue) they even came back the next day and helped resolve it within a few minutes which saved us a nightmare of sending it back after waiting months to get it in the first place. They do quality work efficiently at a very fair price. We plan to use them for all future electrical work at the house and highly recommend them!

    We were very pleased with Toms service - had an issue with our dryer and wanted someone to come out as soon as possible and he was very prompt about getting back to me and coming to our house. He was able to quickly diagnose the issue and get me in touch with another repair person since the heat panel needed to be replaced. He is very nice and was able to make some other helpful recommendations on electrical issues in our home during the service call. I would definitely recommend him without hesitation and will continue to use him for electrical issues in our home.

    We recently bought a house and ordered new appliances for the kitchen. However, the old stove was hardwired to the house and no outlet existed to plug in the new one. We also bought an above the range microwave that needed an outlet within our cabinet as well. The owner Tom was able to come out the next day and create outlets for both appliances. He also installed a surge protector for our main circuit since our house was missing one (built 1981). Tom and his worker were extremely professional, friendly, and honest with what work needed to be done, and the overall cost for the work was very reasonable. I am extremely happy with the service we received and I will definitely be using Schumann Electric again in the future for any electrical projects!

    Great quality job by Tom and Steve! I had quite a list for them ranging from wiring and installation of ceiling fans, installing dimmers, Nest door bell, bathroom fan and light upgrade and more.     I had a wonderful experience with Tom doing work for us yesterday!! I have had many bad experiences with other people doing terrible work and not being honest. So I know what a relief it is to find a great one!! I truly wish I could clone Tom to do all the non electrical work I need done. He can be completely trusted to be honest, professional and knowledgeable. He took time also to explain to me how to use the generator and board that he installed. His prices are reasonable as well. He is very adaptable and allowed me to add recessed lighting to a job where he was only going to hook up our generator. We originally wanted outside lighting and are going to put that off and have him come back in the spring. He is very cooperative and goes above and beyond to please his customers. I have lived in PA for eight years and have never been able to find an electrician I could depend on. Now I have Tom and am very relieved to know I can count on him to help us. Aside from these fabulous reviews, I still requested personal references due to my past bad experiences-Tom immediately gave me three references that of course raved about him. Trust me...you wont be disappointed.

    Weve used Tom in the past for installing attic fans, and they did a great job! We recently had an issue where a power surge tripped all the GFI outlets in our house and broke our surge protectors. We called up Tom to see if he could take a look at our electrical box to confirm everything was okay, and he came out that day, checked everything and was able to install a full-house surge protector to protect our appliances from future surges. We were very impressed with the speed and quality of his work.

    I have nothing but good things to say about this business. I used them for the first time last year when I needed a light hung 2 days before Christmas. Tom was out to my home within an hour of me contacting him. He is friendly, professional and knowledgable. I had him out again today to install a large foyer light and a large bedroom chandelier.     Tom was able to come to my home right away between jobs and retire my recently failed and dated fuse box. It was exclusively and dangerously powering my electric hot water heater. He routed the circuit wire to my main breaker box where it belonged, and installed a whole home surge protector since I did not have one. All within an hour at a reasonable and competitive price.     I recently hired Tom to install a ceiling fan, a light fixture, and a 100 pound chandelier and medallion in my foyer. Tom was great about communicating when they planned to arrive. He was reasonably priced and he and his team did a great job on all of my projects. They were prompt in arriving when they said they would and left the house just as clean as they found it (they vacuumed up every bit of debris they created). I was so happy with their work I hired them to come back and install outdoor speakers for me. I cannot say enough things about Tom’s professionalism and the quality of his work.

    Tom was awesome!!!! We had a strong electrical smell in the house and called Schumann. Tom called me back within minutes on a Friday night and was here in less then 30 minutes. He discovered one of outlets outside caught fire from power washing we had done hours earlier. He identified the problem and fixed it immediately in the pouring rain. Tom also identified another issue ad we noticed since two breakers were tripped. He identified and fixed that issue which was from out new kitchen being installed. Great service, great guy! We found our forever electrician.

I called Schumann Electric and after a 15 minute phone conversation all of my questions were answered and concerns addressed. He was able to come out the next day to do the install.     Great customer service!!!! I currently lease out my property so coordinating service to the unit can sometimes be a hassle but Tom was AMAZING! I googled Electricians near Chester Springs and I came across his website. The site is easy to navigate and schedule an appointment. It was great turn around as I scheduled it on Friday for Monday morning. Another thing I found great was that he actually gave me a rough estimate of what my service would cost. I knew the problem going in which probably helped, but so often with contractors, they dont want to give out any pricing info without an onsite estimate. I found this very helpful. His estimate was on point, even a little less! My repair was completed in a matter of minutes, I paid with a credit card over the phone and received an emailed receipt immediately. This whole process could not have been easier!! I would highly recommend Schumann Electric!!!!!!!!!!!

    Electricians in this region are extremely busy and it can be challenging to schedule out to your house. Fortunately a few years ago we lucked into the contact info for Schumann Electric. Theyve been out several times including just recently when we had an issue with an outlet in the kitchen. Tom and Adam diagnosed the situation and replaced not only the one troublesome outlet, but the other two on the same circuit to ensure all would operate safely going forward. What I appreciate most is the responsiveness .. quick replies on email and text. It means a lot to know they are available and not too busy to answer your questions or work with a flexible schedule to come out to your house. Highly recommended!

    Service levels exceeded my expectations. Schumann Electric is what you dream about when you hire a contractor. Tom Schumann is the owner, and he really cares about the service you receive. He is courteous, professional, and takes the extra effort required to do a complete job.Schumann Electric did work at my house replacing switches and rewired my breaker box. I live in an older house and was constantly dealing with bad switches. They came to the house and completed everything while I went to work. I was ecstatic when I came back, and they were finished. The house was clean. If it werent for the new switches, I wouldnt have known anyone worked in the house.I love my breaker box. Im no longer afraid that bad wiring may cause an electrical fire.     Called Tom about an external outlet and switch for an emergency generator. He called back promptly, came to the house 2 days later, On Time, actually slightly earlier, called ahead. It is very obvious that he is a professional, did not waste anytime, got right to it. Job done in a couple of hours, and not any easy install, stone house, split service aux panel feeding BX cable, on and on. I HIGHLY recommend Schumann for your electrical service work.

    I used Schumann Electric twice at my old house - they were quick to respond, quick to come out and the work was of the highest caliber. When it came time to purchase a generator for my new home, I didnt consider calling anyone else. Tom called shortly after my online service request was sent and provided great advice on the best solution for me. He even called around to find the right generator for me and I was able to call Lowes, purchase the generator over the phone and then picked it up later. Tom and Adam installed a transfer switch as well and walked me through every step of getting the generator up and running. In addition, Tom remembered that he had recommended a whole house surge protector for the new house and brought one on the truck. He was able to replace the old protector at the same time. I recommend Schumann Electric without reservation - their level of customer service is outstanding and I wouldnt consider calling any other electrician.

    Schumann electric came out to my home to set-up a 220 V plug in my garage for my Tesla, set-up a surge protector for the whole electrical wiring in my house, and wired an ethernet across my house in a matter of ~3 hours or so. It was seriously impressive, and they didnt overcharge me at all! I had talked to other electricians in the area, and they were all EXTREMELY overpriced, but NOT Schumann! They were very reasonable, super nice, and very detailed about their plans, what they did and how they did it. Thanks again, guys. Great job!!!

    Contacting Schumann Electric was a delight. They were prompt in returning phone calls. We told them exactly what we wanted done. They gave a price over the phone (for 3 ceiling fans installed in areas where there were no existing fans/lights) and they worked with our work schedules to come out that same week. Seriously, not 3 weeks later but that same week. Quite honestly, if the owners ran a general contracting business, wed use them for all our needs just for the ease of their turnaround time. The price they quoted was fair and reasonable. We will definitely be using them again for our electrical needs.

    Polite and professional. Easy to reach by phone and arrives on time. We will certainly call Schumann Electric for any future electrical needs. We called Tom Schumann when we purchased a hot tub and needed him to do the wiring. He found a few minor and some major issues with our circuit box among other things. He helped us get up to code in our house built in the 1980s. Now we feel much more comfortable about our hot tub investment being properly protected. Also, finally for the first time since we moved here 5 years ago ALL of our outlets work!!! We get to have outside Christmas lights again!! Thanks guys for all of that hard work!

    Tom and his crew came to our rescue when our panel went bad. It was corroded because of water which had slowly leaked in along the power lines; not a good situation and certainly could have caused serious damage to my home. Within a few hours they disgnosed the problem, took out the old panel, installed a new panel and marked all the new breakers as well as installed a whole house surge protector. Amazing! It wasnt cheap, but it was fairly priced and really well done. This company really knows what they are doing. They make me feel safe in my home again. I will call them every time from now on!

    First off I wanna start off by saying this is my first Google review. But this electrician deserves a five star Google review for how professional quality work and being on time.He installed a hot tub for me it was a lot work it was about a 100 foot run from the breaker to Hot tub. He also immediately assessed the problem with our GFCIs and installed new GFCI outlets in all our bathrooms, exterior outlets, and a dedicated sump pump outlet in the basement. Tom and his partner were very professional, efficient, and very easy to work with. We are very happy with his work. No more flashing or dimming lights in the house. In the past Tom has also installed ceiling fans and switches, ceiling light fixtures, and repaired wiring to a front pole light. Highly recommend for any electrical work.

    Call these people if you need help. I called after hours and left a message. I almost immediately received a text message providing me with instructions to diagnosis the problem. Based on the instructions, we were able to determine that the problem involved the well pump. I called a plumber who quickly confirmed the well pump was fried.     Tom and Steve did a great job installing overhead lighting in three of my rooms, hanging a lighting fixture and preparing for a chandelier which will be hung in the future. They were courteous, professional ,clean and very helpful with regard to placement and sizing. I would hire them again should I need any additional electrical work in my home.

    We had an excellent experience with Toms technician who installed 2 brand new ceiling fans in our house as well as a new lighting fixture in our kitchen.     Schumann Electric was a great local company to work with. They were able to come out in less than 12 hours from our service call and accommodated our work schedules by coming to our home prior to work. The tech was fast and courteous.     We have used Schumann Electric many times. They always answer their phone or get back to you right away, and always have prompt service and very reasonable prices. Most recently Adam was here to replace all the old wiring in our house. It was a challenging and messy task that took days, and he was super thorough, professional, and positive and did an amazing job! We love the guys at Schumann!     Tom was great to work with from beginning to end.I am a new home owner and recently bought an older home with outdated electrical that was a mess. I had multiple electricians come to provide quotes for updating from 100 to 200 amps, as well as other projects like adding outlets here and there, cleaning up the overall wiring in the basement, etc.Other electricians tried to swindle me into $8K of work, which wasnt necessary, refused to break out individual pricing and instead would only provide one lump quote with everything in one price, and they took days to send me the information.Tom only pointed out issues that were of actual safety concern and made recommendations instead of insisting or pushing, and he was honest about everything. His pricing was extremely competitive and he gave me a quote on the spot, with pricing broken out per task, and scheduled the work within the week.Tom is very personable and did great work - Id definitely recommend!

    Tom Shumann has been our electrician for nearly 20 years. He’s a master at installing recessed lighting, and turned dark corners in our dining room, kitchen, and bedrooms into warm, inviting spaces. He is personable, professional, offers expert advice, and thoroughly explains every step of the repair process. We recently called Tom to replace our lamp post. He was on time for our appointment, even though it was raining. He did diagnostics on the fixture, and discovered that our problem was low voltage from a rusted circuit breaker. He replaced the breaker, and pointed out several others in the box. He also noticed that our house surge and lightning protector had taken a hit and was blown, and replaced it. The next day, he came back to our house and re-leveled our lamp post with no charge! I trust Shumann Electric for an honest assessment and quality work at a fair price.

    We used Schumann Electric on a recommendation and we are so glad we did. The work was professional, the prices were fair and Tom and his employees were extremely nice to work with. My highest praise, however, is for how responsive they were. If we ever had to leave a message, our calls were returned promptly. There was an open line of communication so we were never guessing when they were going to show up. They made us feel like our job was a priority and our business was valued. A rare thing these days. We will use Schumann Electric again and will be sure to recommend them to others.

    All around great service! Very prompt to respond and even faster to show up. We have a 100+ year old home and you never quite know what youre going to find but felt so comfortable once the work was being performed on the main issues we had requested (certain fixtures not working, exterior lamp posts turning on at different times etc.), that we had them perform other tasks as well - adding exterior home outlets, installing GFIs and correcting part of our circuit breaker. Also seemed very knowledgeable when it came to landscape lighting so were requesting them to come back and perform even more work! The products that they had on hand were of high caliber. No cheapie outlets or materials being installed which is greatly appreciated. Very well priced for all of the work performed and I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this company to others.

    Tom Schumann has always done great work for us. Tom always gets back to us within an hour or less of calling him and typically comes to the house either the same day or the next morning. Over the past 6 years, Tom has installed ceiling fans, a portable air conditioner and most recently installed dimmer switches in our home. I have trust and confidence in Tom that he will always shoot me the best price for materials and labor and is upfront about the cost before he starts. It is tough to find a professional you can trust so we are thrilled to have found Tom. Before you look anywhere else, please give him a call.     We had a great experience with Schumann Electric coming out to our house today for some outlet issues. The electricians were very knowledgeable and explained everything to me in detail so that I was comfortable with all of the repairs that they made. They took the time to fix a few extra electrical issues around the house that needed attention. In addition, they kept their work areas neat and cleaned up any messes that had been made.
