These guys initially botched hotwater baseboard install in my bedroom remodel and seemed to not care much about the job or my familys need for this room. Sloppy, oblivious, and ridiculous initial installation (2 inches off the finished floor, not wall to wall like we asked) after taking more than 5 weeks to get back to me about scheduling the work, then pushed me back 2 weeks. It was was kind of a mess, but Nate stepped up, owned the mistakes and sincerely apologized himself and on behalf of Vertex. He promptly met with me to look at the installation and get on the same page, identified the problems, expedited solutions, and promised to make it right. Jared came out shortly to reinstall and did a good job and made sure we got it right -glad I could help!Bottom line, they messed up initially, and thats fine - we all make mistakes! What matters is, with a messy unfortunate situation, Vertex and Nate didnt get defensive and disagreeable, but they took responsiblity for their mistakes, and they went out of their way to quickly make it right. Rather than focusing on their mistakes or the unfortunate situation, they should be commended for their honesty, courtesy, and integrity in response, which - lets face it - isnt exactly the norm nowadays. Thank you for getting this done and done right.

Vertex Mechanical Team member Jonathan Myer arrived on time this AM to complete the scheduled annual Comfort Shield maintenance on my heat pump and home generator. I was very impressed with his thoroughness and his efficiency in completing the task. He took time to explain every aspect of the maintenance that I had questions about and made sure I understood the basic operational aspects of my system. We had Vertex replace our heat pump system. From our salesman Tom, to our technicians Alex and Rob, everyone we dealt with was courteous and professional. We had an old Hydrokinetix system so the replacement required a few extra steps to bring it up to modern standards. The guys knocked it out of the park. We look forward to years of service from our new Bosch heat pump system and thank everyone at Vertex for an outstanding job.

He was polite, thorough, and professional. it had been several years since the systems had been serviced, and Alex took the time to explain the problems that he found and the services that he performed. Scheduling was easy and when it was time for our new boiler to be installed the team was on time. They were polite, courteous, and didnt waste anytime getting right to work. Everything was done in one day except for the gas meter which was not under their control. I would highly recommend them.

Dave and Ryan were our installation techs. Very fluent & professional. A last minute change was necessary, and Tom came out with the necessary part within an hour. The guys did what they could in the meantime, and kept at it until everything was up and running 5 hours later. They did a beyond thorough clean-up when they finished, and made sure we were clear with the functions of the new equipment. Awesome job, guys!

Our aging heat pump system failed during one of the hottest weeks this summer. I called Vertex Mechanical so I could get a quote to compare against a competitor’s system. Tom Dodge from Vertex arrived at our house about an hour after I made the call and quoted us on a new Bosch heat pump system. Tom did not try to pressure us into a purchase in any way. Instead, he explained the benefits of the new Bosch system and suggested we check various online expert reviews before we make our decision. The system reviews were all good and we were satisfied with Vertex’s quoted price. Tom’s knowledge and professionalism along with Vertex’s good reputation sealed the deal. Vertex was able to have our new system installed within a week of the initial phone call. The installation technicians, Dave and Rob, were professional and did a great job. The installation was very clean and the new Bosch system runs well. Vertex provided a great installation warranty on top of the manufacturer’s warranty which gives me peace of mind that if any issues arise with the new system it will be taken care of. I’d recommend Vertex Mechanical to anyone in need of HVAC work.

5 stars! Our heat pump stopped cooling air and only the fan was running in the middle of a 90 degree heat wave. I called at 3:53PM for an emergency repair, and the technician was there by 5:15pm, and unit fixed and he was out the door by 6pm! 2 hours total from initial call to finished repair. Also for how fast and great the service was, it was reasonably and appropriately priced. We felt prioritized and taken care of! 10/10 would recommend

Both gentlemen took the extra time to check the wiring on our thermostat only to find out that the previous contractor had wired the thermostat wrong. They fixed the problem very quickly. In 2019 Vertex installed heating and A/C home system it was a bumpy ride with installation modifications and return visits for adjustments to fix performance of A/C system but after completion of job we couldn’t be more satisfied with performance of system and bi annual maintenance until summer 2023 there was a problem with airflow causing a condensation leak called Vertex and within hours Johnathon came to access situation a baffle needed to be added to correct airflow to stop leaking Johnathon contacted Vince the owner of Vertex and immediately ordered baffle to stop water leaking Johnathon installed new baffle everything is working great Thank You Vince for your honesty ,integrity you stood by your work years after installation all your employees over the years have been awesome Vertex Mechanical is the best

We have used Vertex to service our geo thermal , so when I saw that they were installing generators I reached out to them for a site visit. I was very pleased with both Jared and John the service technicians for how efficient they were. They were on time and cleaned up after the installation. Jared was a big help setting up the app for the generator and registering the device. A shout out to Steve Wakefield our consultant for keeping us in the loop regarding our installation date.I would also like to acknowledge the electricians for the job, Weidner Sweigart Electric and More for their great work.I highly recommend both businesses.

Excellent service!! All contact has been courteous and responsive. Jonathan called ahead, arrived promptly and did the filters and inspection outside. He also determined that the hot water heater inside was leaking and the unit was aged.He offered that they have a special this month, made the call, and a new hot water heater (at a 700 savings!) was delivered! The work was done without mess or interruption and in less than two hours the whole thing was done! Very professional and pleasant, Jonathan was working all the way through to the completion of a new hot water heater, an efficient geo and a happy customer in Shillington. Thank you!

Been using Vertex Mechanical for a couple years now, they installed a new system after the original system died a couple years back. On time, exceptional service, knowledgable techs, answered all the questions and gave me some tips on running the system to maximize comfort. Great team all around and great individual techs.** EDIT - Id post 2 separate reviews, but it doesnt look like I can do that, so heres the latest:The 2nd unit in the house, which the team told us to keep an eye on 18 months ago, finally died. The sales and scheduling teams were very responsive. The install team was phenomenal - the install looks amazing from a neat and tidy perspective, they got the heat back quickly and wrapped the job up fast - a new Bosch Heat Pump/AC, new Bosch furnace, UV Air Scrubber, steam humidifier and Ecobee Smart Thermostats. I could not be happier. The install team were great - polite, very neat, and actually looked like they enjoyed working together.Heres the bonus - the tech tells me to take a look at something he noticed. The hot water tank has an expansion tank installed. He said it looked like it may have failed (he could tell from looking at it) and then tested it - it had indeed fail. He talked to sales gave me the estimate, and they will be back with parts to install the new expansion tank. Without going into detail, that could have become a big problem had he not noticed it.The entire team, start to finish, have earned our trust, even the office folks who are courteous and helpful.

Second service appointment - the first was back a few months, and an emergency. I had no heat (they came the next day). I booked an appointment online just like last time. Vertex called, told the nice lady what was happening intermittently, and she said they’ll have someone there next day just weren’t sure of the time.This time I had intermittent heat so wasn’t too urgent. There hasn’t been one employee at Vertex so far that I’ve been displeased with. Not even slightly displeased. Not a one!! Today’s visit was by Steve.Steve even showed me what panel I could take off and look for an error code in case this happens again, so I can help them me better.By the way, since the beginning back in November 2023, I’ve been in the Comfort Shield/Piece of Mind maintenance plan. It’s not exorbitant, isn’t dirt cheap, but it is so worth every single penny. Having trust in a company, an HVAC specialist, a service - “your mileage may vary” but for me, a real peace of mind (not just a plan name) sure saves me a LOT of anxiety and stress!Thanks Vertex!!UPDATE: It happened again, of course on the weekend!! Lol. Didn’t work all weekend. Set up another appointment (are y’all sick of me yet?? Ha!) for Monday. And just like taking your car to the shop, Monday came and the blasted hvac started working before the tech arrived and the issues wouldn’t replicate. Steve lots of troubleshooting, did some calls with his fellow techs, ordered a part thought to be causing my issues. Tuesday, guess what, it didn’t work until late afternoon. Wednesday, it worked at that’s the day the tech comes!! Anyway, my assigned tech for today apparently started off with a not good day, Alex took the job and got here in the afternoon. As an aside for others, be patient…it’s not like the first tech did any of the lateness on purpose. Sometimes a job that looks easy on paper turns out to be a nightmare. So give your service people a break, ugly doesn’t get you farther and it costs nothing to be kind.So, little while later Alex is done and we both hope the gremlin has been found. If not, any of these gents who come by trying to solve a problem, who are just trying to help me, I don’t mind having any of them back ;) Another thank you to everybody in the chain for your service. “I am satisfied with my care.”UPDATE UPDATE: I’ve felt so bad for these guys! It happened again. Didn’t work all day Thursday. And you know because I called, on Friday, this morning, it WAS working. During one of the cycles the furnace went back to its “stuck” mode. The office calls gets me in today. Alex calls, told him what’s gone on. He arrives, and the blasted thing is still working. For ages he was in there. No errors, no issues, nothing! After everything he was looking through, he finally starting packing up and closing the furnace, and IT HAPPENED!!! Finally the hvac gods cooperated and gave Alex what he needed to find what the real issue was, and that issue was playing hide & seek throwing out a pressure switch error. The dirty birdie!!! LolIt was the control board. Luckily he was able to get one in Ephrata, came back and installed it.I’ve felt very bad for people coming out and not being able to find the issue or fix it. Their job is to make things better, fix it, not having to leave a customer hoping that what was worked on was the issue. So glad the gremlin popped out at Alex. Vertex was great and credited me with work they did towards the new control board. You know they don’t have to do that.But they did and I think that act alone says something about the company, its atmosphere, and its customer service.Thank you, yet again, everyone - from the office pros to the service pros! The pot o’ chocolate will miss its visitors. I’ll miss the techs who were all pleasant and friendly gents - but I’d rather see them out in the community and not as a service call and face deep in my furnace. I went to Vertex Mechanical Inc.13 years ago to have central air installed in our 35 year old bi-level. Since we had electric baseboard heat, our rep. suggested adding the heat feature. I am so glad that we did. Recently, a capacitor went bad in the outside compressor unit, and I switched over to the baseboard heat during a weekend snow. My electric usage increased 24 kwh a day! On Monday morning I called, and was given an appointment that afternoon. I am extremely pleased with the system, and could not be happier with the recent service and repair cost.

We recently bought a new heat pump system from Vertex to replace our heinously inefficient 30-yo A/C and failing 12-yo gas furnace.John, Dameon and Steve were great. The guys arrived early and quickly got to work after a brief tour followed by an outline of what to expect. By mid-morning, all of our old equipment had been removed, and the new units were in place. They then installed a new electrical circuit and ran new coolant lines and spent the rest of the day installing the electronics and the rest of the wiring, and finally testing and calibrating the system. At the end of the day, they gave us a quick tour and showed us how to use the new system. I was particularly impressed with how neatly all of the new lines and wiring was installed.These guys worked hard, all day long. I dont think I ever saw them once standing still. They were professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and most of all, they each gained instant approval to remain on the premises from our rescue beagle-mix, Honey. (Hope she didnt get in the way too much, guys!)I cant speak enough about how well todays install went. Our split-level layout (and somewhat cluttered basement) provided an ample challenge, but John, Dameon and Steve were more than a match for the task at hand. Genuinely nice people, and a pleasure to have around for the day as well. Plus, I think they left the spaces in which they worked cleaner than when they arrived. Even advised that I may need to look at a new system in the future. Completed the repairs in about an hour while I was on a conference call from work. I called everyone in town and out of town. No other service company responded. It was about 20 degrees outside in January and Glen from Vertex answered my call, right away he said he can help. He was there within an hour! Replaced the water heater and only got done at 11:00 Sunday night. I was never a customer of this company, they changed normal price, no Sunday charge, no emergency charge. I didn’t even have to pay them on the spot. They billed me. I got a top of line 6 year warranty with the new heater.I will be using them for my plumbing and Geo thermal heating system. Great service is hard to find today, great job you guys! By the way the only way I know about these guys is because they support The Cocalico Basketball Program, another reason to use them!

Fantastic response from Steve at Vertex today! Our heater broke overnight and we were lucky enough to find Vertex through the heaters manufacturers website. They came out within three hours of placing the initial call. Steve was extremely professional and made sure we understood what the problem was, how he would fix it, and how much it would cost. Extremely respectful of our home and used all social distancing measures. Very happy and highly recommend.

We had Austin Schlenter as our technician he called when he was gonna arrive and was very nice and explained things to my husband and he was very kind, considerate and very efficient ,he answered any questions my husband had for him. Our central air wasnt working and when Austin checked believe it or not a ear wig bug had gotten into a part and shorted it out and that is why our fan wasnt working,so crazy! He replaced it and showed my husband . We have used Vertex since 2007 when they installed our Central air unit and will continue as long as they provide their services. Recently, we began seeking input for upgrading our outdated oil furnace and central AC system. Both units were basically functional, but inefficient and expensive to run. We were particularly motivated to move away from oil and invest in a new system that is more environmentally friendly.Vince Youndt met with us twice to answer our questions and help consider our options. Vince is friendly, considerate, and knowledgeable. He was also fun to chat with and super personable. Ultimately, he helped us to decide on a new Fujitsu heat pump and a four-head mini split system.We just had our new system installed over the past two days, with Steve Zook leading the install and Damian as his partner. Both Steve and Damian were also professional and polite. Steve answered a few of my last minute questions and confirmed where we would like our mini splits located in each room. In addition, the vertex team removed our old ac unit, oil furnace, ductwork, and oil tank at a very reasonable rate. All work was completed in two days with under two weeks from initial estimate to finished job.I would highly recommend Vertex, especially if you are looking to upgrade to a heat pump/mini split system. While our unit is brand new and we need time to see how things will function long term, we are very pleased with our experiences with Vince, Steve, Damian, and the rest of the Vertex team!

This company has been nothing short of amazing to me so far. They were quick to respond to my service request, both by phone and by scheduled appointment. They were courteous of my home. They checked for any warranty on the part that needed replaced. They did the work the same day. They did talk me into a monthly maintenance program, but it really does seem like a good deal. All in all, they surpassed expectations and put the company who installed my furnace to shame with their excellent customer service. Highly recommended.

Vertex installed my A/C system 5 years ago. They were very good price wise and did a great job. They also come out yearly to do a maintenance checkup of the system. In fact I now have them come out twice a year - - once during A/C season and once during heating season, so they can catch any problems before they get worse. The last several years I have had Austin S. as the technician. The other guys did a good job, but Austin is great. He encourages me to follow him and he explains everything he is doing and he gives me little tips too so I can keep my A/C system working in top shape. I definitely recommend Vertex Mechanical.

I called Vertex after my regular HVAC company told me it would cost me $2200 to replace a $150 part for my Geothermal system. I called Vertex for a second opinion. They were able to have someone show up within 2 hours. Mike their service tech arrived and started to diagnose my system. Mike spent a couple hours and walked me through what he did which cost me only $400 versus the $2200 my previous service company wanted for a repair that did not need to be done. Mike was very professional and great at explaining what he did. Definitely plan on using Vertex in the future.

We have a 2 zone geothermal heat pump in basement. Our zoning board needed replacement in April and Long story short, we needed to have a technician out again on a especially cold December week due to a heating issue related to an incorrect setting during the original install on the zoning board. The 2nd tech, Aaron, discovered the incorrect config after checking a variety of possibilities and corrected it. He was very thorough and made sure everything was correctly running after making the adjustment and answered all questions I had. He considered the call as a return service call at no charge. They stand behind their work at Vertex and will treat you fairly. We love our geo system for cooling and heating, minus the complexity!
