The initial sales call was good and the permitting process got slightly delayed due to factors outside of our control but the install team was awesome. They showed up and were very willing to do whatever was needed to get the job done right including moving pavers and carefully marking them to make it easier to reinstall. Experience had its ups and downs. At the end of the day the work is excellent.Winston was a bright spot in the experience. He is thorough, patient and just a lovely man. He took extra time explaining everything and it’s clear he knows his stuff. Thanks Winston.The main complaint with the total installation and why we are not giving 5-stars was due to the expectations set by the sales person around the “guaranteed installation date” which was missed by many months. It was missed primarily because of poor communication between Assurance and FPL which added a 5-week delay. This could have been avoided if the coordination team would have planned the job better. It took our personal intervention to get results which at their prices was completely unreasonable. I would recommend them but it would be accompanied by a warning to set proper expectations around installation time. .

The technicians and GM really went the extra mile to help handle all the inspections and permits needed, and helped me decide which model was right for me. Excellent company. Recently moved into a house and contacted Assurance to service the backup generator. Charles arrived and was fantastic. He took the time to explain the system we inherited and how to operate it. He proceeded to repair and replace the necessary parts and got the unit up and running just in time for an approaching hurricane. Charles, as well as the office staff with whom I had regular contact was a pleasure to work with. Extremely professional and trustworthy company. Highly recommended.

Had my annual “tune/up” service today, including oil, filter, and spark plug change as well as system check and tank level check. Technician was Jason, who was courteous, knowledgeable and professional. He called to let us know when he planned to arrive and was on time. He explained what services we were getting, performed those services professionally, and let us know how to improve the environment around the generator itself to protect it from moisture damage before he left. We are very happy with him as the technician and APS as our generator service company.

Assurance performed the whole job from installation of the gas tank to the installation of the generator, made the required changes to the electrical system panels, ran the gas lines from the tank to the generator, set up and tested all parts and made sure the system worked as designed, passing local government inspection.All the personnel were friendly and easy to work with. I must say, that my comments were reviewed by upper management quickly, as I received a call from Manager Jack OReilly, asking what he might do to resolve the issues we were experiencing. A credit to his word, Jack followed up with emails and text messages, in the spirit of improving the companys customer relations, communication and responsiveness. He explained how he was going to resolve any outstanding issues we had and followed up to make sure everything had been taken care of in a timely manner. 2024 Problem Resolution.Late June FPL power in our location cycled power quickly on/off ar rapid but variable time intervals. End result was that the power control mechanism for our generator was “ faked out” so to speak, and while generator was on, power was not being supplied to house systems.NB: my background is flight test in the helicopter industry and this type failure, while infrequent, is a tough one for the automatic controls folks.To make a long story short, this failure was very difficult for APS technicians to resolve, and their diagnostic tools were hard pressed to point to a particular system part that failed. Nonetheless, they persevered and after numerous and many man-hours of technician time, they were able to restore the system to normal functionality.My message to all is that APS supports their products with a capital S-maybe “S-squared” for Super Service. Thanks APS.

Two days before Milton was forecast to cause Tropical winds in my area my 22kw Generac generator developed an oil leak at the oil pressure switch causing a red alert , code 1300 on the control panel. Visited APS ( Assurance Power Systems ) in Delray Beach hoping to purchase a replacement oil switch. I was informed by a very gracious women at the front desk that their business profile does not include part sales. I expressed my dilemma, with the approaching storm and possible electric outages. She then advocated in my behalf with a manager and an exception was made in my behalf. Thank you soo much to this employee willing to initiate the extra effort for me. Now my turn to advocate for APS . It was the red light on the housing that alerted me to a problem.

He figured it out and got it working. At this point he had to order some parts but I purchased a maintenance agreement. I have total confidence in this company and the staff they hire.Update—parts wouldn’t help. Have to buy new. Great sales person came and we agreed to buy a Generac.My generator has now been installed by an amazing group of workers. Wish I knew all their names. It’s such a piece of mind to know we are covered should this hurricane season hit us as expected. Also it is much smaller and much more efficient than our very old one. Very happy with our experience.

Jan 2024: APS has failed to detect malfunction on my generator despite I pay them an expensive monitoring service. Today, when the technician arrived for preventive maintenance, we were both surprised that the generator had an alarm with a red light in the panel and it’s been at least a month since the generator has NOT performed the routine weekly running test. Yet APS has failed to detect this for a WHOLE MONTH.It makes me wonder if it’s worth paying them so much for the so called “Platinum” Maintanence & Monitoring Service.Update: March 2024.After APS technician listed all pending repairs on my Generator, they eventually sent a new Tech to carry on those repairs. We had to wait some considerable time for APS to receive some parts, as it is an old model generator. But once they received them, they came and fix all issues. They were also able to re-establish the wireless continues connectivity of the monitoring equipment and the generator has been doing its routine weekly test run and sending text messages to my cell as expected.So at present, APS and all their staff members have redeemed greatly with me at my full satisfaction. I have had their services since 2016 and intend to keep our relationship in the future.

Lastly, scheduling the technician to come Monday after I told them I would not be home and moved this appointment to Tuesday and then arriving 45 minutes ahead of time.

And to my surprise, he called about 15 minutes before is expected arrival, to give me a heads up. Although I always request this of techs, more frequently than not, they fail to do so. So, points for APS and Scott on this.He performed the tune-up, checked the transfer switch to be sure the generator kicked off as soon as the local power ws turned off. He also did a great shining of the exterior of the unit. And importantly, he checked the date the battery was manufactured, as well as measuring its output, and all was good.Upon completion he showed me his work.APS is a good company and will stand behind their work and products. Their phones are sometimes a challenge to navigate, but that has nothing to do with this service tech.
