We used Mike and Dayton Home Improvement to replace the outdated sunroom off the back of our house. Mike paid great attention to detail in every step of the process - presenting the options, including everything in the written contract, custom ordering doors so the size would look best with the rest of the room, and suggesting the finishing materials that really brought everything together. The installation was done incredibly well by Doug and his team, and the finished product looks great. The price was also very competitive with other quotes. We were kept informed throughout the process and really enjoyed the level of customer service we received. Looking forward to spending lots of time out there now!

I want you to know how much I am enjoying my new french door with the pet door. I had very heavy wooden blinds covering the sliding door, and pet door that did not close well all winter. There was a cold breeze blowing in all winter. The pet door closes perfectly and has a double paine window, no drafts! I know my utility will drop this winter. I love the blinds between the glass. No more dusting blinds for me. I remodeled my whole house this last year and I can honestly say this is the best. I can’t wait to replace my front door and another sliding door next year. Doug does excellent work and is very professional. My cats love it too! Thank you Mike, it is a pleasure working with you.

This team is one of the few remaining professional groups that really takes the term professionalism seriously. They worked hard and rendered their own set backs, pointing them out to us before we stumbled upon them ourselves days or weeks later. They went above and beyond fixing a few little things aside from the actual jobs hired for. The completed entirely new siding, trim, soffits , gutters, new front door and a new shower in our bathroom. We also had some painting completed. Each team was professional and stayed in contact with us throughout the projects. Nick personally came out several times to check on the work and progress. Great company and great people!

During the Winter of 2022, is discovered my patio door was leaking so badly, I had to duct tape all the way around the seams to block the cold air. The patio windows were the original and they were not much better. I had the choice of replacing the glass in the windows and finding someone that could make adjustments to the door to keep cold air out. Or I could replace the entire system. I had estimates for both, but there was no guarantee how long, what I considered a temporary fix, would last. And it was the least expensive. I had Dayton Home Improvement also give me an estimate for replacing the entire unit. It was NOT cheap, but it was not anywhere near what I guesstimated the cost would be. The unit was installed in July and I could not be happier. When they put the door on and closed it to make sure it was aligned correctly, the outside noise just disappeared. The installers were terrific and very professional and I have become the envy of my condo neighbors. Once again, I learned you get what you pay for and I got an incredible new patio and doors.

I highly recommend Mike Sikoras Dayton Home Improvement! They installed a 16 x 25 awning over our back patio. This company cares about the customer. They are very professional and meticulous in their work. Before the awning was installed, they came to remeasure and checked the area at least 4 times to make everything was perfect. We havent had any problems. The awning is high quality and was installed with great care. It is sealed very well and we havent had any leaks what so ever. My Husband and I had about 4 estimates done to have a roof put on over our deck, and Larry with Mike Sikora’s Home Improvement was by far the most professional, personal and friendliest salesman we dealt with. Right off the bat he quoted us the best pricing, and with this company having all the warranties that they had to offer.. No other company could even come close to compare. The clean up and haul away after the job was completed was flawless! We never felt rushed or pressured, and we are completely happy with our new deck roof!! We can’t say enough great things about Mike Sikora’s, and we will definitely be using them again!

They did an excellent job and kept the job site very clean at the end of each day.Earlier this spring when we had high winds, we had some storm damage to the trim on our eaves. I have nothing but good things to say about Mike Sikoras Dayton Home Improvement! I needed a sliding glass door replaced with known wood damage underneath. I asked 4 local companies to provide estimates. Mike came to my home for the estimate. He was professional, polite, friendly and easy to work with. He did not pressure me to choose his company. It was an easy decision to pick Mike and his team! They completed it in one day even though there was significantly more wood and siding damage than anticipated. His crew was prepared to handle the unknown with ease and professionalism. PLUS, they left the job site clean! There was not one speck of dust, nail or any material left behind. My husband and I wanted a patio cover for our deck. We had set up 3 estimates, Mike Sikora was our second. Mike came to our house, we went over what we wanted. He explained everything thoroughly. He told us all about his company with pride! Mike gave us his estimate which was less than the first estimate. We told him we had one more to get the following week, we would get back with him after that. After Mike left my husband Tom and I were talking about Mike, and what a genuinely nice man he is. We were both very impressed with his knowledge and his business! We both decided we wanted his company to do our patio cover, without getting another estimate. I called Mike and told him. Our patio cover was installed on 8/13 & 8/14/2020. The guys who did it, did a great job! We couldn’t be happier with our new patio cover! Over the past two years we have hired Mike Sikoras Dayton Home Improvement for three different projects - one to replace the roof, siding, fascia, soffits and rear entry door, another to replace six windows and just last month to replace the gutters and downspouts. The first project included stopping a leak to the back room which several contractors would not take on because I wanted a guarantee that the leak would be eliminated. Mike successfully stopped the leak and repaired all damage that had previously occurred. In all cases, I found the products and installation to be of high quality and the price competitive for the service provided. The workers were courteous, hard working and listened to my concerns. I would recommend Dayton Home Improvement for those needing similar work.

I have had the pleasure of having Dayton Home Improvements do Improvements at different addresses that I own. At my residence Mike and his workers have installed replacement windows and have completed bathroom upgrades for me and they look GREAT! And at my rental property they installed replacement windows and accomplished some repair work and again everything looked GREAT! Their workmanship is of the highest quality and they are very friendly and timely. They were very meticulous about keeping the work area and house clean from debris. Mike Sikora was personable and professional since square one giving me the quote for my new roof. I felt that he went over my options very thoroughly and made sure I completely understood my choices and what would happen. I tend to ask a lot of questions, and I especially did for what I consider a big commitment (a new roof) and he was more than willing and capable to answer all of them to my satisfaction. I was impressed by the warranties he offers and in my opinion he really stands behind his work and his company and I think that speaks volumes. I was out of town during the installation and it still went smoothly. They got it done quickly and easily, and I have no complaints about the service or the quality. Hands down I would choose Dayton Home Improvement again if I ever needed work on my home. I love my new roof and I was so pleased that it was not a hassle for me.

I wanted to express how eternally grateful for the assistance and guidance that Mike and Dayton Home Improvement provided to me after the storm damage I receive to my home from the Memorial Day tornadoes. At first I thought I could manage all the work needed to repair my home. I quickly found out that would be a monumental task, especially with the original estimate that I received from my insurance company. Mike and his staff successfully proved the original estimate was not sufficient to cover the damages. The attention to detail and documentation helped prove to the insurance company their estimate was not adequate.The quality of work from your workers was very high quality. My home feels as good as new. I appreciate Mike and his staffs dedication and the countless hours put into resolving my insurance claim. Over the last 2 years DHI has replaced my roof, gutters, siding and added a cover over my deck. Their work has been exceptional. They have over delivered on all four projects. Their people have been hard working and professional. Each of the crews’ work experience and attention to detail ensured that the projects were done correctly and completed on time. All work areas were kept neat and the crew cleaned up at the end of every day. During each of the projects Nick and Mike (the owners) would stop by to review the work and ask if I was satisfied with how the project was progressing. I never had any issues with the projects. I contacted Dayton Home Improvement to fix my old soffits and end boxes. My house was of brick construction but the wood under the soffits was really starting to warp and look bad. Mike Sikora came out himself and went over all my options. It was a pleasure to work with someone that was as devoted to quality and customer satisfaction as Mike was. We ended up replacing an old patio cover while they were going to be doing the rest of the job. It is so nice to sit out on our back porch now. Our house and property was damaged by hail last May when the tornadoes went through Ohio. We had damage to our roofs, fence, patio enclosure, patio furniture, and several other areas. Mike Sikora is the owner of Dayton Home Improvement. He helped us tremendously in the many months to come. He brought in his own adjuster to make sure the insurance assessment was correct. He helped us understand many aspects of the insurance claim process. He told us in the beginning to be patient throughout this process. It took many months until we settled with insurance on the final estimate. Mike was always there to help with questions and to explain things during this time.When the repair work began, Mike coordinated multiple crews to work on the various items on our property. His crews were always early and worked late into the night to deliver quality work. They were very courteous and hard workers. We are in LOVE with our screened in porch and new sliding door!! Mike Sikora, the owner, at Dayton Home Improvement was incredible to work with as well! He personally came out to our house to provide a detailed estimate for our project. We appreciated the time he took to provide us an accurate estimate that ended up being the same amount we paid. The pamphlets, information, and letters of recommendation he provided were presented very professionally and greatly appreciated. We never once felt that he was a pushy salesman at all. He always made us feel comfortable to take our time making a decision on which contractor we chose. He was very confident in his product and we can see why! He was able to start our build ahead of schedule, and the end result is an impeccable finished living space where we can enjoy the outdoors mosquito-free! I cannot begin to describe how amazing these people are. Simply put...they are the best! Nick has done several projects for us over the years, and Ive been blown away every time. Everyone is impeccably professional and the work they do is beyond amazing. They genuinely care about the quality of their work and making sure the job is done right and to your specifications. If a flaw comes up in one of the pieces or components, they tell you immediately and order a replacement. I would almost go so far as to say they are perfectionists, which is a great thing. They also stand behind their work. If something they put in needs a repair, they get on it as soon as you tell them of the issue and resolve it as quickly as humanly possible. Ive never regretted giving them my business and they are the only contractor I will go to for home improvement projects. No one else can hold a candle to them!

We had two white flat pan style patio covers installed. One to replace our canvas cover over our deck that was ruined in a wind storm and the other to cover our patio located behind our garage. The challenge was that both covers were relatively high off the ground. Mike Sikora came up with the plan to meet our every request. The installer Doug (Great Guy!) and his crew consulted with us all along the way. Considering another home improvement company? We have had other home improvement projects done by other companies that lets just say, didnt go so great. Never again, Mike is the most friendly, honest, caring, fair contractor that we have ever done business with. His first priority is to make the customer happy while making a friend in the process. His second priority is to make a fair profit in the business transaction. Likewise, Doug is the most approachable, friendly and honest installer. Our current home needed new windows (22 of them!) and we also replaced our conventional back door with a sliding door. I had contracted Dayton Home Improvement to replace windows and add siding to my home over 10 years ago and was very pleased with the work. Most recently I had an issue with one of the replacement windows and was even more impressed with DHIs service. Within 1 day of calling Mike Sikora his supplier had contacted me, thanks to Mike Sikoras excellent records we were able to order the window over the phone and had the window repaired within 2 weeks!I cannot tell you how impressed I am with Dayton Home Improvement and Mike Sikora. Its nice to know there are still a few Companies that value customer service and customer satisfaction. Needless to say I sing their praises and will use them for my next home improvement project.

Due to this years hail storm, I needed a new roof and patio awning. After going through a nightmare with the roofing company, it was so refreshing to see real professionals like Jake and Doug from Dayton Home Improvement due such great quality work! They went out of their way to make sure the job was done right and to please me. My insurance company would not replace the patio support posts, just the awning. I am very happy with my beautiful new front door from Mike Sikoras Dayton Home Improvement! My old door was broken by a burglars forced entry and I needed a new door right away. I immediately called Mike Sikora because he replaced my roof and shutters years ago and I am still satisfied with the end result. Mike eased me through the decision-making process of ordering a new door that met my insurance companys specifications. He helped me choose a classic style door with hardware to match the deadbolt required by my new security system. The installation was professional with great attention to detail. The color of the door and frame blends perfectly with my house outside and inside. My old door did not have a window, so the small window at the top of my new door is a delightful change. It adds light to the dark foyer and continues to lift my spirits after the robbery. The security guys had no problem installing their deadbolt into the new door a few days later. They even commented on my strong, sturdy door. I am so thankful for Mike and his wonderful team!

I could not be more pleased with the replacement Insulated Patio Cover that Dayton Home Improvement installed. My roof had been damaged beyond repair in a hail storm. It began to leak, then fill up and bulge. I spoke with Mike Sikora and he knew exactly what I needed. Others firms suggested different kinds of replacement roofs but none offered the quality and looks that Mike recommended.The installation went like clockwork. His team appeared on time. We briefly discussed what was to be done--plus a few special items, such as running electrical wiring into the roof that an electrician would later connect to the electrical service to provide outlets. The job was completed on time and met all my expectations. Additionally, the old roof was carted off, with no sign of debris left behind. Also, Mike appeared at completion to inspect the finished work.I gladly recommend Mike and his team to all my friends. I am a more than satisfied customer.The work was completed in May 2014.

My husband and I had the pleasure of doing business with Mike Sikora when we needed to replace our existing patio enclosure. There were no high pressure sales tactics like we experienced with other vendors/contractors. We feel like we got an excellent product. Although it is presently a basic screened patio, the frame is such that we can upgrade to a 3-season room with sliding window panels in the future. The time frame from the initial proposal and the completion of the enclosure was reasonable. The install went well and the site was cleaned up each evening prior to departure. As a bonus, Mike went out of his way to get the name of a fence company who had installed a fence we admired in one of the pictures he had of a previous job. I worked in the area where DHI is located for many years and never gave thought to using them for service. My career gave me a special view of the constant coming and going of what I eventually discovered to be loyal personnel running and working for such a reliable and quality operation.That discovery came as the result of my wife and I moving from our home of 27 years, leaving behind many of the comforts wed put in place during that time.The new address has a rather large patio which put you @ the mercy of the weather for very limited outdoor activity. When I encountered some other neglected issues previously, we were referred to a company for services. Along w/those various items needing attention, I asked for an estimate to install a patio cover. We confirmed in verbal exchange, phone, text and email that our goal was to have the work done before end of 2019. We were told no problem. He put us in contact w/an architect for design, to the tune of $600.We made several attempts by email. text and phone to get the attention of the December 31, 2019. Since we were already out $600 for the architect, Id like to try using the plans. Lets face it, if Dayton ever had a season to do some Winter outdoor remodel work, it was 2019.Rather than beat a dead horse, I will say our relief came as the result of this companies failure. This brought us to Dayton Home Improvement and we could not be happier.We signed a contract for the work to be expressly completed to cover thepatio and make it practical for use. From signature to completion, it took less than 30 days. Meeting, discussing, measuring, design, permit, ordering materials and install have been done to total satisfaction. No, we could not use the $600 architect plans, but the quality of what Mike and DHI did softens that loss.The install was done by 2 gentlemen, Doug and Rick, who were very attentive to detail and their surroundings. The courtesy and respect for all they did, explaining the process and all issues they needed to adapt to our specific situation seemed a matter of routine.Dayton Home Improvement is quality customer service. Wow here we are again ordering from Mike, this time a garden window. This is not the first time that we have worked with this company. When we bought our first home we checked out many companies but this one fit the bill. We were so undecided about the color of vinyl siding Mike helped us and we never regretted it. Our home was the best on the block. Then we bought our second home, it needed new windows, front door,siding(loved the color on our 1st house got it on the second) and had to have a bay window. The bay window I never thought that we could ever get because the original window was so small. There is no saying no with this crew. They made the hole wider and taller. LOVE my bay window. Also Mike surprised us with a wood grain frame its fabulous. Had to have a new gutter on the back of the house just after we moved in. They came out replaced the boards and gutter had it done ahead of time and it looks great. All I can say about Mike and the crew is they ROCK. If anyone is looking to have a home improvement done be it big or small you can trust this company to only leave the beauty of the improvement behind. Mikes crew (Bob and Jeremy) probably didnt know when they started our siding job that we were in store for about 4 straight weeks of rain! They still managed to get through, kept our house dry, and did a terrific job on the siding. (They also put up new plywood and house wrap... I shouldnt say new. There was no USB or wrap on my house under the old siding!) They managed around some things we wanted to do that were not standard, were very kind to my family (the most important part of the whole job), and kept the yard straight and clean even though the weather was working against them the entire job! The house looks great and Mike was involved throughout the process. He was easy to get in touch with via cell and email, as well. They answered all our questions and were very patient with us throughout the entire job. Id recommend them to anyone doing similar work on their homes.

Mike Sikoras Dayton Home Improvement replaced my roof & siding about 5 years ago after the hail storm and did a good job for me, which is of course what you hope for. However, several months ago, a couple of pieces of siding came loose and fell off. It was over the garage, and I couldnt put a ladder on a sloping roof to reach it, so I called DHI to see if they could bring special equipment and re-attach it. To my surprise, the owner himself, Mike SIkora, returned my call. He said that, although DHI no longer had this type of crew available, he would arrange something. Even though Im sure my repair work was a nuisance job - not to mention they werent going to charge me - they followed up and got the job done.
