At this time Hometown Electric installed for my portable generator an Interlock kit, disconnect 50A breaker on the electrical panel and a 50A external power inlet. After the installation, were able to successfully test with my generator, everything worked perfectly and we are capable to run the entire house with the generator. I used this company 3 times (upgraded the electric panel, installed ceiling fans, light fixtures, moving switches and some minor repairs). They were able to send the same technician, Levi Walker, as one of the team that came to my house. He is friendly, and professional. I am very happy with their work and I highly recommend this company.

David is the BEST! He is the only guy I trust. I have been a customer for over 4 yrs and David has been consistent with his professionalism, knowledge and service. HomeTown Electric is an incredible company. They came out immediately and gave us an estimate, and they were able to start the work right away. David and Tanner were extremely knowledgeable and explained everything. They worked quickly, were extremely kind, and were just all around good people. They went above and beyond to provide excellent service, and they even went out of their way to problem solve some other issues we were having. My dogs escaped out of the fence as they were leaving, and they stopped and helped me get the dogs back inside. Great humans. We absolutely will be calling them again to help with our home projects and any issues that we may come across. I highly recommend them.

I’ve used this company a few times now. They have always been very professional and on time. I feel like they’ve been honest with me and they’ve resolved issue other companies have me bad advice about.I had some major issue with circuits continuously popping. Although i didn’t like paying for it, they wanted to use breakers all by the same oem. They replaced them and added a couple more circuits. They also added a breaker for the entire house instead of having individual breakers at each socket. I’ve not had issues since they did this. This is my go to electrician and I have an upcoming job for them soon!

The guys arrived before I got home and they had already checked the wiring and voltage and everything was good. I had received an alert from the charger that something was wrong with the ground wire. They actually are true to their word on being 24-7! Our tech came literally at 1am on a weekend night. Pricey charge for it but was well worth getting it fixed quickly instead of having to wait. He actually came back several days later to do a job. He was very knowledgeable. I have social issues not trusting people within the house but he was very courteous & had manners & was very communicable so I never felt uneasy with him being in my house which is a rarity for me. He done a exceptional job in a very quickly manner, way quicker than the job expected time that was given. The business was exceptional at keeping me updated on who was coming and when they would arrive & realized quickly I didnt like phone calls so they kept it text only. They was so very accommodating to our needs & got everything updated and fixed at a decent price at the end.

I contacted them yesterday to see if they could fix my doorbell and install a fan. They were able to send someone out early afternoon today. Didnt take David long at all to install the fan. Doorbell was a little tricky but he was very thorough in trying to figure out what exactly was going on with it. He got it fixed and explained what happened to make it stop working. Now I have a working Ring doorbell and I dont have to keep charging it! All for a reasonable price. Was expecting to pay more. Its the little things. Will definitely be using them again for future issues or upgrades

Bought a video doorbell and installed it in place of my regular doorbell, but it didnt work with the power supplied, only by battery. Got tired of charging it, decided to get a professional. Jake diagnosed my problem quickly and realized that the wires connected to chime transformer were connected wrong. Transformer was humming as well, it was a fire waiting to happen. Jake rewired my new transformer and had me working. Call Jake, hes the man for any job. Ive got him on speed dial if/when I need an electrician again.

Troy called me within 15 minutes on Friday and was able to send Patrick to my place within 30 minutes as he was in town to give me an estimate. Patrick was honest and fair and quoted me a reasonable price for removing and replacing 8 chandeliers and 5 sconces. Already on Monday Patrick and Christian came as scheduled and within 4 hours had the entire project completed. Both gentlemen were professional and worked very clean and efficient. I wanted to write a review earlier but this is the first chance I got to post one. Had an issue with an installed microwave range unit which was installed years ago by another organization. Set an appointment and got a quote for that and 3 other projects. Very professional electricians. Customer service was great by these guys. Explained everything in detail.Completed the work in less than a day, left everything clean with complete work. These 2 guys will have a great future in their profession. I have other work that will need to be done and I may add a small boat house in the future. Who knows. Ill be the only guy living on a hill miles from the lake with a boathouse with electricity. May not get done since we are on Corona time now. When everything opens up, I will definitely call Hometown Electric and I hope to see the same 2 electricians again. Thank You.Gil James

After a major snow storm when every other electric company in the area was booked solid and we had been without power for days, Light Em Up Electric went above and beyond to promptly schedule our appointment for that very day. After inspecting and advising of cost my power was back on by 12:30. The crew for doing the work was in place in less than 45 minutes. Tech Craig arrived and surveyed the damage. After a through investigation, the main culprit was squirrel damage to wiring in the attic...this was the source of why an outside flood light and indoor garage lights failed to stay lit. And Craig was the only tech - after three other techs had been to the house - to have gone up in the attic (on a 90 degree day!) to really look at the wiring. He spent the rest of the day fixing the problem, including work at the old breaker panel and replacing defective attic wiring and very old garage light fixtures. The technician, Will, arrived at the beginning of the scheduled window and went right to work on identifying the possible causes of the lack of power to my pool and outside sockets. He found several issues from past mistakes in initial installation that had to be corrected (inappropriate materials used for buried wiring, incorrect pairing of voltage needed to circuit breaker voltage in the box, etc.). GFI needed to be replaced due to excessive need to reset across several summers.Will explained every issue, the solutions and reasons (including code requirements), and reviewed the cost of each aspect of the all-day project. Given the extent of the problems and the amount of work involved, I felt the estimate for the total project was reasonable and had no hesitation agreeing to it. As the work progressed, he showed me the effects of previous mistakes, the new materials and placements of wiring, boxes, sockets as he thought of new solutions and ideas for better convenience.He and Jimmy cleaned up the work area and left everything in great condition, especially working condition! I am extremely satisfied with the work and Wills effort to help me understand what was wrong and what was needed. This was a very good experience, and I will not hesitate to use this company and specifically ask for Will in the future.
