Great company with excellent customer service that performs quality work! They replaced the roof on my Baltimore row home years ago, upgrading it from multiple layers of poorly applied tar to a rubber roof. It remains the nicest roof in our old Canton neighborhood! I have since moved to Highland in Howard County and had an unusual project (water leaking through floor of outdoor patio off of second floor bedroom) which I contacted Columbia Roofing to take care of. Recognizing the need to get the leak sealed immediately, they came out and temporized to prevent any further water damage until they could fit me into their schedule. The finished job was outstanding! Highly recommend this company for any roofing needs!

Third time Ive used CRI and cannot recommend them enough. First time, they did some work on the roof. Second time they fixed some loose aluminum siding and this time they installed new gutters on the whole house, downspouts in new locations, kick outs and splash guards. Each time they have done an amazing job and I will be doing business with them again (I already have the next projects picked out). If you are looking for a local roofing, siding and gutter company go with Columbia Roofing.For the gutter install, Joe came out and walked the property and gave me suggestions for the locations of new downspouts (the new drain pipes were installed by a local landscaping company). Melissa, in the office, was able to schedule the job quickly and Jose and his assistant were on site 45 minutes EARLY (this, by the way, has happened every time CRI has come to the house for a morning job). Jose gave me an estimate for how long the job would take and he finished ahead of schedule. He cleaned up everything and then walked the property with a giant magnet to pick up any loose screws (I still double checked the driveway and patio with my own giant magnet because Ive punctured too many tires after running over the screw that got away...).Overall, a very satisfied CRI customer.

Ive called upon CRI to work on two projects so far on my fixer upper, and both times they have been phenomenal. First project was the addition of a roof vent for a kitchen range hood; the crew was professional and good at what they do, and the prices were fair. Second project was a major one; siding, front door, and gutter replacement. Billy gave us a competitive quote (we shopped around) and was excellent to work with. Roger and Jimmy installed a door sealed so well you could probably use it in a spacecraft. Joe and his crew were professionals, working multiple days to replace our siding and addressing any issues. We could not be happier with the results! I highly recommend CRI for any home exterior project. They do it all (maybe) and do it well (definitely)!

Columbia Roofing is a highly reputable and ethical company if you ask people who have hired their services, which is what I did before contacting them. Billy came by, gave me an estimate, found him to be very knowledgeable and he doesnt over sell and will answer any questions you have, explain the various options, and leaves you alone to make a decision in your own time. The price quoted was very reasonable (I had 3 different estimates). During the actual work you have an experienced supervisor inspecting the work. The roof looks great and I keep looking at it every time I pull up in the driveway.

A piece of the flashing around our chimney had lifted causing water damage on our ceiling.We called Mike Sr. at Columbia Roofing, and he arranged for someone to come and take care of the issue. Mike had Melissa arrange the scheduling for the job. In addition to fixing the flashing, the guys did a full inspection of our roof, and did spot fixes for anything that could become a potential problem. They took a lot of pictures of the things they took care of, which we didn’t even know were possible problems.We are very satisfied with interaction we had with everyone from Columbia Roofing. Great people!!!

We had a very good experience. We were able to get a quote right away and the person who came out was very knowledgeable, and flexible with our needs. We had the roof, gutters and siding replace and it all looks great and weve had no issues. We even had a roof vent fan installed. The only thing that could improve some is the scheduling. But, they were very responsive and you cant control the weather. Overall it was a great experience.

We were quite pleased with Columbia Roofing. The price was fair, and the work completed efficiently. The sales pitch from a competitor was anything but. That sales rep gave us a price ‘that goes with me out the door’ – i.e. sign now or lose out. The Columbia Roofing price was HALF that of the supposedly great deal we’d been pressured to accept. An unpleasant lesson for us. In contrast, Billy Russell of CR was excellent. A pleasure to work with, and a good man.

Columbia reshingled the roof on our large condominium building. The job was sufficiently complicated that some roofers refused to bid it. Columbia did beautiful work and the work crew were delightful guests on our property. They were responsive to all of our requests and they were meticulous about cleaning up. So -- if you have a big job Columbia is the team to use.Now we call Columbia for our small jobs too -- a small leak (in a different roof!), work on flashing around a chimney or a vent stack -- whatever. They are as professional and accommodating on small jobs as large ones.

We had a good experience with Columbia Roofing and we definitely recommend them. It was nice to be able to get a single company to do the roof, some trim work, and re-caulk all of our windows and doors. They were easy to work with and responsive to a couple of issues that arose. We chose to have them use Certainteed Landmark Pro Shingle because we have had streaking issues with our previous shingles. We also specified Quad Caulk from OSI and Ultimate lifetime pipe flashing which was an upgrade but we felt was worth the extra money. Honestly, we got four companies to give us quotes before we decided to go with Columbia Roofing and I believe that we made the right choice. Here are a few additional tips on what to expect... Twenty years ago it was acceptable to vent bathroom vents to the ridge vent, but with the longer lasting shingles you dont want to do that so you will need to pay a little to have them vented through the roof. If you have an attic fan, it is recommended that it be removed as the ridge vents dont need that. Expect that your roof will need some of the sheets of plywood replaced (ours required 4) and that will cost additional $$$ as per the contract. Finding nails in the yard afterwards is just par for the course regardless of who does your roof...believe me, I spoke with a number of friends and they all had this issue regardless of who does the roof. They will lay tarps down to collect the nails and sweep with a magnet, but you will still find some nails. I borrowed a metal detector and magnet from friends and found quite a few additional nails...just par for the course.

We had our whole roof redone and everything went great! They brought us samples of several of the shingle colors when we were unsure from the photos. We made our pick and then scheduled a time. Everything went just as planned! On delivery day, two men showed up with a big crane and put all of our shingles and things up on the roof. The next day, the crew showed up bright and early and got right to work. By the end of the day, we had a new roof! The next day, another crew showed up and re-did our gutters and downspouts. We had no problems at all. Everyone we dealt with--- via email, phone, and in person--- was professional and polite.

I am the Owner of Columbia Builders Inc . Mike who owns Columbia Roofing came to us in 1979 and asked if he could do a few roofs for us. He had been working on a roofing crew for another subcontractor. We tried Mike out and the rest is history. He started by himself doing it correctly and professionally. Always came back and still does promptly on service calls (had very few once Mike started roofing for us). To date Mike et al have done over 2500 roofs for us. No one does our roofing except Columbia Roofing. There are none better that this firm.

Hired Columbia Roofing to install a skylight in a very dim stairwell of our Baltimore rowhome. Roger came out to inspect the space, tell us our possibilities, and give us an estimate. We went with an enormous 46’’ x 46’’ skylight, with solar-powered open/close. AMAZING RESULTS.Roger led our custom project from start to finish, overseeing two other employees. Great attention to detail. His expertise was crucial in dealing with structural oddities of the 100+ year-old home. He even threw some extra roofing cement on our roof vents while he was up there. What a guy!

From the time of your Sales Representatives visit right through completion of our roof and siding projects we could not have been more pleased with the professionalism and craftsmanship of your teams. I especially liked Billy Russells recommendation to install a cricket on the high-side of our chimney; something that had never been done before by our homes previous owner. This modification will definitely help channel rain water away from our brick and block chimney. We have already referred a neighbor and a friend to CRI.

Most roofers try to run you up on gutter repair/replace. They worked with me and reused some of the downspouts to keep the price in check. Also, the inspector identified the key problem being that the gutter was too small for the slope of my roof, causing it to weaken, bend, and in one area detach from the roof. They saved me $$$ and my front flower bed from a lot of future damage. Awesome customer service :)
