    Dr. Electric was phenomenal from beginning to end! Rick (the owner) quickly diagnosed the problem we were experiencing and what we needed to do to upgrade our electrical box. He even told us about a potential fire hazard that had been missed when we bought the home. We had a quote within a day from his company. We waited to act on it and got a few more quotes however, his quote came in the most reasonably priced and it was itemized. Which we appreciated. Plus we felt more at ease going with him because of how knowledgeable he was about his craft.The day of, they were prompt, despite the snow storm, and began work right away. They were neat and worked the entire time to get our system upgraded and back up. They were professional and cleaned up the space and even left us with a recommended drywall repair contractor. Even though they cut into the wall to upgrade the box the drywall was cut perfectly straight and they patched it so it wouldnt be an eyesore until we got the drywall repaired. Honestly we could go a pretty long time if needed before getting it repaired because the patch work they did was so neatly done. Also, as the project was occurring they answered any questions we had and was considerate of the property.Rick and his crew are amazing! It is comforting to know that we have finally found a worthwhile electrician that we can count on to get the job done correctly and honestly. We highly recommend them to others!

    From the initial estimate to our questions and final installation, Dr Electric provided us with clear information and options for our EV charging upgrade.     Everything about this experience was good. We are very detail oriented folks who have a slight bit of nerves when having work done on our home as weve had some bad experiences. From the very first experience with Raymond doing the bid, there was such a good energy. Raymond impressed us by having ideas and actually seeming interested in our vision. Most places act like you are putting them out to pay them do work on your house.Raymond, Matt, Adrian and Jimmy were great energy in our home when they put in can lights throughout our lower level. It was a snowy Friday afternoon that turned into a snowy night, but they stayed to get the work done and with great attitudes about it.Weve worked with a lot of companies in COS, but this was the first situation where the employees actually seemed to enjoy what they do. Where they seemed to understand what customer service meant. Their affinity for each other as co-workers was also evident in their interactions.Thanks all! We will definitely call Dr. Electric for future electrical needs.

    These guys are great. I needed help on a weekend and they were quick to assign a tech to come over to my house. It took a while for him to arrive, but that was understandable given the short notice. Once here, however, he quickly diagnosed my problem and fixed it.     Raymond and the other technician, sorry can’t remember his name were knowledgeable and professional. They diagnosed the problem, provided information and options efficiently. I like that it was not at all a sales pitch instead relied on information and knowledge to drive decisions. I would absolutely recommend this company.12/19/24 I had a surge board installed. Once again Raymond was efficient, cheerful and professional. Truthfully, one of the best companies I have worked with.

    Dr. Electric should be hands down anyone’s first choice for electrical work. They communicated the day before my appointment to advise of a possible change in schedule due to the snow storm. There ended up not being an issue but the effective communication was very professional. The day of my appointment, tech Raymond was courteous and went above in some basic electrical education for me! Highly recommend Dr Electric.

    Raymond was fantastic, and he found our issue. However, $225 for a diagnostic is a little pricey. Will be calling for Raymond if we have a big issue.Update: changed from 4 to 5 after talking with the wife who was there during the service since Raymond was so nice. For posterity though, here is the response the owner left to a 4 star review: Ben, I dont think that I will even justify your review with a comment as we came out in your time of need at the last minute when you could not find anyone else and you agreed to the price ahead of time and you could have refused service and found another company that suited your budget. thank you for the nice comments however, glad that the issue was fixed.Response: It wasnt a last minute response, set up an appointment with them a week after the initial request. We didnt hear the price until the electrician was at our house. The price was touch higher than expected, so I posted about it so everyone else could know what a diagnostic costs. HOWEVER, Raymond was still very nice and Dr. Electric fixed our issue swiftly and professionally. Going to leave the 5 star review up because of that.

    I had a big light that wasnt very bright and wanted to replace it with recessed lights. Everything went well with this company, from the initial phone call, to getting a quote done, to scheduling, and then the install. Also, at the last minute, I had to schedule an urgent vet appointment but Dr Electric was able to adjust and still get me in the day of my appointment. Thank you. Im very pleased and will be using DR Electric again, in the future.

    Deb the dispatcher was attentive and wonderful. She listened to my concerns and was able to get me help same day. She sent Raymond out and he was awesome!     Dr. Electric had someone at my home quickly. The technician was able to fix the problem on the spot which made me very happy since it meant I get to use my sauna again. Raymond was courteous and professional. All in all I would recommend them for any electrical work you need done.

    Bob, at Dr. Electric was the lead on purchase and installation of a Generac generator at our facility. From the beginning, selection of the right capacity needed, to the selection of other contractors need for installation, to dealing with all the government officials need for approval, he guided us every step of the way. Once we were ready to install their team of electricians installed the generator, replaced the circuit breaker panel and had everything completed in only one day. I highly recommend Dr. Electric as your first choice when their skills are needed.

    UPDATE 6/10/2022: After my original review, and one star rating, I was contacted by the owner who was determined to make things right. He ordered the correct panel I originally requested and maintained regular contact to let me know the status of the parts on order. As soon as my panel came in, they came over and reinstalled to original requirements. The electricians were friendly and fast. Would I use them again; yeah Id probably give them another try. I appreciated that they made a concerted effort to make things right (after the 1st 2 trips). Id say give them a shot, but be explicit about your requirements, make sure they are written down in detail, and check the work before releasing the crew.OP: I had high hopes for Dr Electric. During the estimate, they took a lot of notes and pictures, but then had no idea what they were supposed to do when they showed up for the job. For what they charge, their work is sloppy and ethics are shady. We paid $3500 to do some light electrical, installing a couple outlets, converting some existing outlets to 120v, and installing a few new light ballasts. The 30A RV box they installed was nothing like what was agreed upon immediately prior to the work, it was a cheap galvanized single outlet box rather than a consolidated box containing the 30A and a 120v. The outlets they installed in my garage were faced with white plastic interior plates, looking terrible and, as the owner conceded, not the proper application. After troubleshooting our garage lights, they quoted my wife, who was present at the job, $800 to replace a few ballasts! She called me, I said no way, and instantly the price dropped to $300. They said there was suddenly a discount on the hardware (over the 5 minutes of the phone conversation). They later returned to fix my outlets, and they still didnt install all the screws in the galvanized faceplates! The worker admitted they screwed it up the first time because thats just what was on the truck. For $3500 (and months of notice before the job), you can get the proper hardware at the Lowes thats a mile from our house. Essentially, they showed up for a job unprepared and just used whatever parts were on hand.

I almost wish things would break so I can call Dr. Electric to repair better than it was new. My realtor was there when Raymond arrived. My realtor has dealt with many electricians. He was extremely impressed by Raymond. He asked for Raymonds business card and will use for all future electrical jobs. I highly recommend Dr. Electric for all your electrical needs!

    I’ve now used Dr Electric on 3 projects, they’ve become my go to for electricians. Deb has wonderful customer service and is very cordial and accommodating to keeping you informed and updated. Initially had Raymond to do some outlets and assessment of my homes’s breaker box. Tyler did a chandelier hanging and was very patient and great at hanging it the way I wanted. Jimmy had the biggest job upgrading my breaker box and did a fantastic job, the inspector was even impressed with their work. Their pricing is very reasonable and their reviews prove it.     Had a really good experience with Dr. Electric after not being satisfied with earlier work that was done. Had them over to provide electrical service to our hot tub. We used them twice before in the year and had great service, which we expected to have again.After our hot tub service was complete, I wasnt satisfied with the work and finish. The conduit from the house was ran over the sidewalk to the hot tub and not covered neatly or completely. This made any shoveling or walking this area an obvious problem. I gave a 2/5 star rating.Within the hour of the rating, Rick from Dr. Electric called us, came out to our house to inspect and agreed the work was lacking the kind of service and quality he expected. He also pointed out some other problems he recognized that were not obvious to us. He sincerely apologized, and immediately asked when he could schedule a return visit to make it right.WE appreciate Dr. Electrics follow up and willingness to listen to us. Thank you for making it right! We will continue to be loyal customers.

    I am thrilled with the fantastic service provided by this team! From start to finish, this was painless. My phone call was picked up immediately, I got a quote with a great value in writing by email, and I approved the work and scheduled it immediately.     The crew that arrived was very friendly and professional.     What a wonderful company! I hired them to complete three jobs.#1 stop the power in my office from tripping. #2 Add a canister light over my kitchen island. #3 Install under cabinet lights. 1 and 2 were completed with no issues at all. The third, no fault of their own, could not be completed, but they worked very hard and tried their best. In the end we just had to scrap that part of the job. Without a doubt, I would hire them again and plan to do so. The whole team was very nice, respectful, knowledgeable, officiant, had great communication, quality work at a reasonable price and in the end we, were very happy with the work that was done.     It took them a bit longer than expected for them to arrive as they were busy with a few other emergency calls but overall the guy who showed up was polite and helpful. He was able to get the utility company to show up well after hours since it ended up being a problem on their end so that was great.     The owner Bob was very responsive when I first reached out to set up an appointment, and he worked with me to get an upgraded hardwired 48a EV charger (EVSE) installed instead of just the NEMA 14-50 outlet that comes with the standard installation provided by Qmerit through my vehicle purchase. Bob got me scheduled within a week of calling. Today David arrived during the scheduled window, and was an absolute pleasure to work with. He did everything possible to make sure the EV charger was installed where I wanted it (holding it up on the wall to make sure I liked the placement before drilling into the wall), and carefully measuring (instead of just guesstimating) to make sure it was at the same height as a tool bracket nearby that I wanted it to line up with for aesthetic reasons. Ive seen plenty of shoddy work from contractors over the years, so its always a pleasure to find people like David who really take pride in their work and make sure to do things the way they would if it was their own home.     I had some problems with a few outlets and my hot tub not getting power. After talking with the scheduling lady on the phone, she had me look at my breaker box and asked if I had a GFCI tripped.     Rick and Tony came out to my duplex on time as promised and scheduled. Having dealt with various contractors on different projects in different cities before I can say they were definitely top notch guys! This was my first electrician in Colorado Springs that Ive called on so wasnt sure what Id get but theyre very professional, fast, and incredibly helpful. Ill definitely be using them again when I do some more projects on my home.

    Professional and friendly! A hard mix to come by. I gave this company a call after looking at all the good reviews on Google. Glad I did! They were able to service me the same day. Tony was the electrician that came to my home to work on a broken ceiling fan and had some problems with my fireplace which he was able to help me out with. He was great to work with! Very friendly and was able to answer all the questions I had about any sort of electrical problems I had with my home!     Tony and Jaime went above and beyond our expectations! They showed up early, were very respectful and professional. Two of our outdoor outlets were not working and after troubleshooting Tony discovered we missed a hidden faulty GFI in the garage. He not only replaced it, he helped us diagnose other electrical issues in our home. They’re reasonably priced and very efficient! I highly recommend Dr Electric!! Honest and trustworthy! They will be doing all our electric work in the future!!

    So Thursday my house got hit with a really really nasty hail storm in Colorado Springs, it is now Monday and because of the weekend I didnt think I could get an electrician out. The storm knocked out my bathroom power, plugs and lights and my kids bedroom. I called dr electric and he was literally here at my home with in 10-15 min from the first initial call. He fixed the problem with being here a total of five min. Tony was super amazing and helpful. He interacted with my kids very well and was incredibly polite. He had another man who was very helpful as well. Tony is seriously the guy to see! Cant believe how great he was! Next time I have an issue I am calling him!!Thanks a million tony! You rock!!

    I had an outdoor electrical fault that I called a week ahead to have a technician come to evaluate. The technician arrived on time, dressed and acted professionally, made an efficient troubleshooting exercise and resolved the problem ( replacement of an outlet) in less than an hour. I would not hesitate to recommend them based on this service visit, and will call them again with my next electrical issue or project. Competitively priced.

    Once the technician put in a new outlet, he took the time to figure out what was causing the breaker switch to turn off. Through his diligence to check each of the plugs in the living room individually he found that the plug to the recliner couch was what caused the breaker to switch off. I am thankful for the time and effort he gave! I highly recommend Dr Electrician!

    Impressed does not even begin to describe how I feel about the customer service, quality and professionalism of this company! We were selling our home and had some electrical work that needed to be done prior to closing. Happened to choose this company and am so thrilled we did! They got us scheduled right away and arrived perfectly on time. They took care of the the electrical problems that needed to be addressed in our home very quickly but most importantly correctly! They wrote up a fanastic report for us to submit to the buyers and they back up their work. They were even kind to our son who was very interested in trying to interrupt their work.

    Brad was professional and came out at 8:00 pm on a Saturday night, diagnosed the problem and got our furnace running in no time. Would definitely recommend DR. Electric for your electrical needs. These guys actually answered the phone on the weekend, took the time to FaceTime to try to solve problem over the phone and then showed up within the hour to diagnose and fix the issue. Thanks guys.
