Kotch electric replaced my breaker panel, meter, and weather head.When I first contacted Kotch electric for an estimate I was contacted back within hours, next the estimate was done by the owner himself within the week and I was on the schedule.When they came to do the service they were on time and the service including inspection was done within the day, they even entered and exited through the side yard to reduce mud in the house. There were three men working including the owner and all seemed to work great as a team and very respectful.I will say without a doubt that the professionalism,timeliness, attentiveness, politeness, and pricing was unparalleled. I have already scheduled more work that I originally planned to put off because this company was so exceptional to work with.If you want honest pricing and service I recommend Kotch Electric!Update: second job completed with this company. Kotch electric came out on April 18, 2023 to add a few new lines including ceiling fan and doorbell transformer move out of attic, as before excellent workmanship and integrity. They showed up early and finished ahead of what I expected. One of the electricians came out a few weeks before starting this second project to review job needs and possible solutions. The owner was open and honest about what was needed for the job and the best possible solution.As before I still would recommend Kotch electric for any electrical needs!

Jim is Awesome. I selfishly want to keep his business to myself so that they remain available when I need them. They did an amazing job rewiring a large basement room and dealing with the consequences of less-than-perfect prior work left by the former owners. He beat the prices of his competition and provided drastically better customer service than they did. He clearly takes pride in his work and is a downright cool guy in his own right. Hes the kind of guy you would look to as a mentor for how to do business in an honest and effective way.

We use Jim Kotch for our Generator installs. He always does a great job!! I have had many customers call and brag about him. Jim is a honest down to earth guy. Once you meet Jim you know he’s a real person and he actually cares. The Solar Guys are lucky to work with you Jim. We had our electrical service updated from 100A to 200A and we were very happy with the work Kotch Electrical did for us. They were very patient and answered all our questions before we signed the contract, to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. Jim explained to us the options we had for the new meter and disconnect, so we didn’t have to cut into the brick wall. They finished the job in one day and my ice cream didn’t even melt in the fridge before they were done. He also gave us a better price than other contractors we talked to. We recommend them for any electrical work you may need.

Finding a qualified electrician to do work in Cheyenne is not easy at the present time. Kotch Electric was one of two companies out of five that actually responded to my request for a bid on changing out an electrical panel. Jim Kotch was prompt in arriving to create the bid and was very thorough in finding out what would need to be done, AND the bid price was much lower than the other company that responded. Kotch Electric fit us in earlier than we expected and the work was completed in one day. All of the electricians we had on site were very friendly and happy to answer questions. We will be using Kotch Electric for any electrical repairs going forward and are having them install the outlet for a car charger shortly. Very good company to work with which is tough to find these days. Highly recommended.

I called numerous electricians for about 6 weeks without getting a response. I called Jim and talked to him directly on day 1, had an appt scheduled, a cost breakdown and the work completed when he said it would be completed. Hired him for a second job with the same outcome. He and his crew are KNOWLEDGEABLE, and professional. They do what they say they will do. Jim is top notch and I highly recommend him.

Jim and Co installed a whole house generator for us in the fall. (Sorry Jim, for late review!) He is professional, responsible, honest, straightforward, follows through on his word, and goes above and beyond when needed. While installing the new electric panel he discovered that the ground wire for our 70s home was damaged and no longer connected underground. They took the extra time to replace it and made all the electric things right, at no extra charge. Later at night he drove all the way back out to ensure our freezer had been plugged back in when he couldnt reach me to confirm. Great electrician and all around human being. During this time in 2020 it seems everyone is looking for a reason to fall back on. sorry late from covid, back order from covid, covid has us behind. Not Jim. He was out at my house doing the small preparations while all the other companies were looking for a reason not to preform. Always responded quickly no matter how bad the news was. I ordered a whole home generator and we got told every excuse in the book, literally from every which way. But not once, no matter how bad the news, Jim would answer and be 100 % up front and honest. No sugar coating but honest. And to me thats what I like in this new 2020 everything is covids fault era. An upstanding guy that will get the job done.

I think they are a bit pricey, but the work was completed quickly and efficiently. I havent used an electrician for a while, so maybe their price is in line with others. They came the day I called.
