The whole team is friendly, knowledgeable and willing to talk to me. Ive had multiple tech guys from other companies refuse to talk to me like a human, using textbook words and either asking for my husband or messaging him during work hours when Im the one home while theyre working. Craig and his coworkers are all fantastic. They were quicker than we expected taking out our old furnace and completing a replacement before the busy holidays and ensuring we had real heat so we could give our straining heat pump a rest :)

He is very pleasant, knowledgeable, thorough, and takes the time, and makes the effort to answer any questions, I might have. He also gives me detailed explanations about what he is doing, and why. I believe that Village Home Services may be a one stop shop for home maintenance. I have used them for electric and hvac service so far. They designed and installed a heat pump system for the house and they just did their 1 year service call.They are super pleasant, professional and knowledgeable. The Company communicates well and they are very supportive with the little things that mean so much....like supporting info for heat pump rebates.I highly recommend!

Needed an emergency plumber around 10 pm on a Friday. Called a few places, but Village Home Services was the only one who got back to us (and quickly at that). Everything was all set a few hours later. Josh was knowledgeable and respectful, and able to recommend a longer term part 2 of our particular issue. Pricing was extremely reasonable for an emergency service late on a Friday night. A huge relief in a panic situation!

Big shout out to Josh Twombley the plumber that came to my rescue for a gas leak in my clients home in Chelmsford . As a real estate agent I will happily share that the leak was discovered at 4 pm on a Friday afternoon 😫I called to ask for immediate assistance without hesitation Josh arrived found the leak and very neatly and efficiently took care of the problem !!! My clients were out of the country on vacation. Great service and I highly recommend Village Home Services .

Corey and his apprentice (sorry I forgot his name) did a great job on the work I wanted completed. They both battled the heat (heat index 105 degrees) to repair an outlet for my pool pump. When they left, there were virtually no signs that I had work completed. I liked the fact that I did not have to cleanup after them. They were very professional with their work and informing me of my options to complete the job. I will definitely request his services when I need work completed in the future.

You know when you mention you need an electrician and everyone has a guy! And two or three weeks later you finally get in touch and then they never come out :). Forget it. Call Village Electric and get an appointment that day. Depending on your electrical needs, they have the correct crew to meet your needs. In my case it was a new pool shed needing an electrical panel, pool timer, inside (lighting) and outside plugs and outside flood lights.Jim and Anthony were assigned to my job. They were there promptly, and listened to my wishes and gave outstanding ideas to wire the pool shed. Their work was meticulous, very neat and went over all manuals and instructions when work was completed. They even replaced a faulty plug on the outside of our house.I highly recommend Village Electric and made additional plans for work in our home for lights and fan installations.

After calling 4-5 different companies with no real responses, (I did receive a text message from one company saying my request was received and someone would be in touch). I called Village Electric, they answered the phone and they scheduled my assessment. The next day I had my estimate. A day or two later I scheduled the work. The technician Seth and his partner were professional, knowledgeable and did a nice job keeping the work area neat and clean. I recently had some major renovations done on my house. My contractor referred us to Village for the plumbing and electrical work. It was quite extensive work involving adding two bathrooms to a 2nd floor. The two teams that came in did a great job. The lead plumber, Josh had to face many obstacles, physically and structurally, all while trying to minimize the damage to infrastructure of the 2nd floor and ceiling of 1st floor. The work was finished flawlessly and I greatly appreciated the expertise shown by both plumbing and electrical. I would highly recommend their services and will definitely use them in any future endeavors.

I have a sump pump set up with a main pump and 2 back ups and with the recent heavy snow melt and rain the GFI tripped on a few occasions and I had water in my basement. Kevin and Zach diagnosed the problem and called a plumber and presented me a couple of solutions. We decided on the preferred solution and I received a quote while they were still on site. Both Kevin and Zach were very pleasant and professional in how they handled my problem. A few hours after they left the temporary solution broke down. I called Shelby at the office and she coordinated between the electricians and plumber to give me another temporary solution and expedited the parts needed with the supplier to get my permanent setup scheduled for the next morning. Shawn and his colleague provided a dedicated branch circuit in our kitchen to prevent breaker overload, and diagnosed and re-wired a bunch of 3-way switches. I’m sad our old doorbell wiring is not in good shape and can’t be restored. All in all they did outstanding work, are very personable and were respectful of the property. I recommend them highly.

I needed to replace damaged underground electrical cables, involved in digging, trenching, conduit cabling, and land scaping; a relatively big job. I also upgraded circuit breakers at the same time. Village Electric did a great job!!Initially, there was an honest misunderstanding about the total cost, partially my fault. When this happened, the big boss, Josh, stepped in and resolved the issue quickly. Ive always been impressed by how easy it is to get an appointment with Village Electric, even though they have a large customer base. Today, I experienced a new level of expertise.We have a 20+ year-old house generator, which only had been operating sporadically. Our service company had told us that we need a new one because they no longer make the model we have or the part needed. After a quick review, Josh, Village Electrics manager, suggested that they send over a team to test it. Dave and Kevin came, the first having specialized in generators for three years. After discussing the issue of not finding mechanical parts, they told me that this may not be true because of OEM possibilities. Then they explored the inner workings, explaining what they were doing along the way and taking the time they needed to make sure they were getting the job done right.Long story short, they not only fixed the generator, but also showed me how I could hard start it when necessary and keep it in good running order. And did I mention how personable the two are?? The appointment, all in all, made my day!And since this email, they’ve installed an EV charger and a full-house Nest system, and fixed electrical wiring. Consistently great experience! Pros: Local, responsiveness, fast scheduling and work completion, communication, basic work is competentCons: Felt quite expensive, finishing points lacking (scuffed walls, minor debris, etc.), was not able to fix an ethernet cabling issue (lacked tools to do so), salesmanship (health check and so on for up sell)I had a smaller job (add a few outlets, debug a bad ethernet port), so it may be price point skews high, but it felt much, much higher than other ranges found online. But, I would trust this contractor to finish a job to completion and good communication is an underrated asset in local contractors. I would avoid any more sophisticated network/LAN/WAN work. I would also encourage the company to drop the assessment game, it comes across as crass and starts the relationship off on the wrong foot.
