Yesterday I had a plumbing emergency. My long time plumber was unresponsive so on a recommendation from a friend, I called Argent. Argent sent Keith to my home and he arrived within one hour of my initial call. Keith was polite, friendly and immediately diagnosed the issue. He quickly fixed the problem, cleaned up and provided information to help me prevent a recurrence of the problem. I also have to say that their pricing was extremely reasonable, which I very much appreciated. I had never used or even known of Argent before yesterday, but I have to say that from now on, I have a new plumber. Thank you Argent! Thank you Keith!

I called Argent plumbing to get a quote on a new water heater , Nick sold me on the features and benefits of a instantaneous Tankless water heater , he said it much more efficient and didn’t take up as much room as a standard water heater. This was much needed since there was no extra room in the utility area, where installation was done . I was a little apprehensive in the beginning but once his technicians showed up and started the installation, explained how it was going to work, I felt at ease . I can’t say enough at how professional Argent techs were, especially their head tech Chris . The installation was done in about 6 hours the techs cleaned up and my hot water has never been quicker or better .Awesome job !! I highly recommend Argent plumbing . I cant say enough about how well Argent Plumbing took care of us when our hot water tank started leaking recently. The office accommodated our schedule, and sent their technician Montana Schmidbauer who diagnosed the situation and got the repair plan moving immediately. Chris VanKirk and Jeff Spangler followed up with the installation of a new HW tank and we were back in service with a dry basement in no time. Very professional team, they will be our go to for all future plumbing needs!

We have used Argent for over two decades with consistently high satisfaction. They have annually serviced our boiler system and a/c as well as conducted significant new installations including a/c systems, generator and a new steam boiler. What we like best is the personalized service. We have come to know many of the technicians personally — Montana in particular these past few years —- She can be depended upon to lprivide a detailed summary of work completed, maintain and leave a clean workspace and to treat your home with care and respect. As a result, what they cost represents a value given the end product.

Bennett came out to our home from Argent after a section of pipe burst in our basement. He came out ahead of schedule, communicated to us when he was on his way and even gave me a courtesy call when he was arriving. He was patient and explained every step of the process on the repairs he was going to be making before beginning the work. He was professional, made the repairs in a very short period of time, to standard, and cleaned up the work area once he was done. In addition, he offered to look at some of our other utilities while on site to make sure everything was in working order and offered suggestion on potential repairs or replacements we could explore in the future which all made total sense. Very happy with this technician and the service from Argent overall. Would definitely recommend/use in the future.

I cant say enough about my experience with Argent. Recently, I had the misfortune of having a carbon monoxide leak in my home. Upon calling Argent, I spoke with the most wonderfully kind receptionists who went above and beyond to help me reach a resolution with my landlord to get the work done. The techs who came out to do the work were personable and friendly, but also cared deeply about getting my problem resolved in a safe way and went the extra mile to help explain everything they were doing. Mark and Piotr did a great job installing our new tankless hot water heaters, replumbing one of our bathrooms, and replacing a portion of our cast iron drain line. They were punctual, communicative throughout the project, did a great job prepping and cleaning the work area, and did very professional work. The finished product works perfectly and looks fantastic. In the past two years weve also used argent to replace our HVAC system and install a water softener system and the work is always impeccable.

Shortly after his arrival, police and rescue squad appeared on the scene for the care of the 94 year old tenant, who was ultimately ushered away in the ambulance to the hospital. (Tenant doing well.) In spite of the unusual set of circumstances, interruptions and delays it caused for the clarification of the water leak issue, Pat carried on patiently and professionally.

Our two experiences with Argent has been fantastic. We just bought an old home built in the 1930s. We initially sought help from Argent to clean our sewer line which our inspector recommended upon moving in. They sent Bennett who was professional, worked efficiently, and cleaned up well after a fairly big job. We then called Argent again but this time to address some boiler/radiator issues. Brian first came and evaluated our heating system. As a former engineer, he identified some serious issues with the water line hook ups to our boiler system. He returned with Kurt and Gabrielle a few days later to reconstruct the entire pipe system to our boiler, to service the unit, and to repair some stripped and leaking supply valves which turned out to be a fairly major job. They pay great attention to detail, are honest, and make great strides to make sure the job is done right with minimal mess. I also appreciated Brians efforts to show me how to replace the radiator air valves to help save some money and to do it on my own if one of the radiators shut down on a cold day. I am very pleased with their work thus far and will be calling them to evaluate our HVAC system as the weather gets warmer!

We were in an incredible situation. Our boiler cracked, and we had a leak. The local gas company shut off the gas until we could put in a brand-new boiler, and the temperature dropped. It was a complete disaster.Thankfully, we contacted Argent, and they sent out Brian. He quickly walked us through our options, produced a quote, and lent us heaters to warm up the house. The following day, he had a team out installing a new boiler. When we ran into a problem with our chimney, they got us a quick appointment with their preferred vendor and had them quickly help remediate it.We are pleased with Brian and the teams work in getting us back up and running. We have been using Argent for years. They take pride in their work, their installations are always clean and professional. We have never had any issue with their work whether it is plumbing/heating/cooling. During the boiler annual maintenance the technician identified the PRV had failed, Ryan came in and fixed it efficiently and cleanly. By being proactive the team at Argent has saved us from issues down the road that would be caused by excessively high water pressure. Scheduling is always easy with Argent. Brian and his team just finished a high velocity A/C retrofit in an older home and the layout is very clean and the workmanship is top notch. We previously used Argent to upgrade an old boiler to a high efficiency unit, the work was flawless and the system is performing very well. They also upgraded to a tankless many years ago and the tankless water heater has also been problem free. We highly recommend Argent for any plumbing, heating or HVAC needs.

Yesterday, I was experiencing a leak in my home. I was able to contain the leak but it wasnt noticed until about 5PM when the business was closing. I called the emergency line hoping someone would be able to respond after hours. Steve Russo (Tech) went above and beyond. He called me almost immediately, let me know he would be there in about 40 minutes and would be able to find and repair the leak. When he arrived I showed him where it was, he found the source almost immediately, made a plan, and executed the repairs. Throughout the process he explained each step, protected the home with drop cloths, repaired the pipe, and cleaned up everything thoroughly. Steve had great energy, was easy to talk to, and made the process as smooth as it could be (was pretty stressed before his arrival).Prior to this, I had used Argent to replace my boiler system which had aged out. This was executed perfectly and now we have an incredible new boiler.Highly recommend this company. Great employees that take great pride in their work and customer service. Owners should be very proud.

Weve gotten a lot of work done by argent on our 1912 house, whole home water filter, water softener, a gas line, etc. All work has been done meticulously and quicklyMost recently Brian and his team installed a high velocity AC and heat pump system. They worked hard to make sure we lost as little space as possible to the air handlers and to preserve our original plaster walls and ceilings. The AC was finished in just under two very hot May weeks, but even before it was done, the team got one of the zones up and running early to give us an early respite from the summer. After installation was finished the team continued to be very attentive, with follow up service calls to tune the system and make sure we were happy with it.They were very careful to protect our floors throughout the entire installation and cleaned up thoroughly afterwards. By far this is the least messy project weve had done of this magnitude.

I am extremely pleased with the work performed by Argent. I starting a basement remodeling, and I decided to also upgrade my HVAC, water heater, and add a generator as part of that project. I contacted Argent and Nick came out to quote the job. Anthony worked with me on refining the quote, and Jennifer on the rebates and some attractive financing offered by PSE&G. After that, Brian and crew came and executed it.The end result was absolutely transformational. Initially, the mechanical room for my basement reno was going to take up about a quarter of the finished basement, which would be situated right in the middle due to the location of the chimney needed for HVAC venting. Additionally the ceilings were going to be low due to existing ductwork run under the rafters.Brian came in and proposed installing the new furnace into a corner and then running the supply/return trunks down one side of the basement ceiling. This relocation of the equipment was facilitated by the highly efficient condensing furnace and tankless components, which use PVC ducting for venting and therefore could be placed anywhere (vs having to locate them next to the fireplace chimney for venting). This resulted in a vastly smaller mechanical closet requirement and 8 foot ceilings for most of the basement as all of the ductwork was now tucked into the rafters. They also installed a tankless water heater along the same wall as the furnace, which took up very little space.I went with highly effecient Trane communicating furnace, heat pump, and thermostat; a Rinnai condensing tankless water heater; and a Generac generator. Argent handled all of the HVAC and ducting, plumbing, and gas line work. The job was completed quickly, and the crews showed up exactly on time every day and were very neat, courteous, helpful and professional. In the back office Marlene, Jennifer and Anthony were easy to work with and very helpful. Overall it was impressive.Overall, I would highly recommend Argent. I am also very happy with the performance of the Rinnai tankless water heater, and the Trane communicating system components. Both of these systems are wifi enabled with very useful apps for the iPhone. Happily I havent had to utilize the generator, but I expect that it will function perfectly if we lose power. Note that the Generac also has wifi capabilities and an associated app.

My office building had a clogged waste sewer pipe that caused a backup on the 1st floor. Argent was quick to respond and diagnose the cause. The repair required opening up a slab floor to remove a drain seal that came from the roof. We moved into our house in July and immediately had moisture and mold issues in the basement, and had minimal AC on the 1st and 2nd floors. We tried a couple different options and spoke to a few different companies to identify the problem, but were strung along by different people for quick fixes / sales that didn’t work. We called Argent for a leaking pipe in our crawl space, and John V. came out to quickly fix the issue and suggested that Brian come check out the moisture situation in the basement. Brian came out to do a walkthrough and was extremely knowledgeable about the real problem and how to fix it. A new Trane hvac system was installed in the basement with an Aprilair dehumidifier system for the basementand in-line humidifier for the winter. A second Trane system was installed in the attic for a second zone for the 2nd floor. Brian was always knowledgeable about everything and wanted the work done perfectly like it was his own home. Kurt and Carlos are true professionals and worked very hard to make our home comfortable with the new hvac system. Kurt and Carlos were also friendly to my wife and I, and they do very high quality work. The crew came early each day, around 8AM or earlier even. They were always extremely nice, clean, and we could not be happier with their work.John V. was so helpful with the original leak and he even came out during the project to replace our sump pumps with new ones and install water to water back up systems. He stayed very late to finish the job timely. He was great in walking me through the plumbing in the basement to show how the new system worked. Mark also came to the house to fix a rusted waste line pipe. He was very quick, clean, and so friendly throughout the day. Brian/Argent also contracted for a new electrical panel and carpentry work to create an access drop down stairs to the attic for the 2nd hvac system, that was very seamless and a huge help for the project and long term utility / quality work in our home.Although these projects were not planned after we bought the home, we couldn’t be happier with Argent and every person who came to the house over the past few weeks. We greatly appreciate the hard work and sweat put into our home to literally reengineer the entire mechanical system in the house. It’s helped make the house feel like our home.

We have only been in the neighborhood for 2 years and “inherited” the relationship with Argent from the previous owners of our house. Other than annual maintenance of our HVAC system and some small plumbing repairs, we really didn’t know much about them. All of that changed in 2020 though!Right at the start of the pandemic, our water heater failed overnight. We called Argent and they arrived the same day to assess the damage. They were able to install a new water heater the next day and truly did an incredible job. The team were absolute professionals and took all necessary precautions with masks, etc.Then in late June we learned that the upstairs zone of our AC system had low pressure and probably a leak and couldn’t keep up with the cooling demands. Argent gave us a quote to replace the system since it was using older (R22) refrigerant. Since the cost was very high we obtained a few other quotes and found Argent’s to be quite competitive given the spec of the equipment. The team was able to do the work just a few days after we accepted the proposal and completed the job in a single day. The outside temperature was 90+ and I believe the temperature in the attic was 120+! Brian and his team were absolute professionals and did a truly incredible job. In the days since the temperatures have been in the 90s and the system has had no problem keeping us cool!Unfortunately, at the very end, there was a snag. I write this as a precautionary note to anyone that is moving from a R22 system to a R410a system using the existing refrigerant line. There was an inline filter/drier on our refrigerant line behind the dropped ceiling in our basement that neither we nor Argent knew about. This was only discovered once the line was flushed and reloaded with new refrigerant. Since R22 is like kryptonite for newer equipment, this had to be dealt with the next day. While Argent was very good in explaining what happened and giving us a break on the cost, this still increased the cost of the project by ~25%. My advice to anyone doing what we did is to thoroughly inspect the refrigerant line with your HVAC contractor at the point of estimation to be sure that there are no hidden inline filter/driers – it could save you a lot!

I recently had a clogged toilet. I called my plumbing company Argent in Chatham, NJ who immediately sent out Pete who tried everything he could think of to unclog the drain. It turns out it had to be done from the street. It was an extremely hot day and he was snaking, snaking, snaking. Finally he unclogged it and it turns out that the sewer pipe was dislocated in two placed which was revealed by the camera at the end of the snake. Of course that was not good news. I was told I would have to replace the sewer pipe from the street to the back of my house. They wrote up the estimate and I scheduled the replacement. They came out and another Pete did the installation and he was wonderful. Very polite and respectful which is hard to find in the service industry these days. I have high praise for this company. Ive used them over the past two years for several different issues. They also worked in tandem with the landscaping company Sunnyside out of Stanhope, NJ with Scott and Edwin who did an amazing job re-landscaping after the huge trench was dug out. They also were completely observant of my requests to repair the lawn to its original state. So I would highly recommend this landscaping company as well.

Let me start by saying that 5 stars are not nearly enough to rate how happy and impressed we were with Argent Pluming and HVAC Contracting. Nick Argenziano has built a company to be proud of starting with Nick himself, going through the office staff, and culminating with his technicians who were a pleasure to have doing work in our home. It’s clear that Nick treats his employees well and with respect because that’s the way his employees treat customers. Jake, Ben, and Pat were at the house this morning doing a number of different jobs. They arrived when they said they would the estimate was accurate.Jake, Ben, and Pat all clearly knew their stuff, were efficient, answered questions, explained what they were doing and why. They worked neatly, cleaned up after themselves, and put items they needed to move back in place when they were finished. It was obvious that they each were committed to doing the best job possible by the way they smoothly worked with and helped each other. They were respectful and put masks on when they came into the house. Jake took the time, to figure out a better solution for our basement humidity issue and a workaround for our very old and peculiar plumbing.We are switching our HVAC/generator yearly maintenance contract to Argent Plumbing and HVAC Contractors in Chatham, NJ.

I was having a plumbing nightmare when 3 different plumbers tried to change a thermostatic cartridge in a shower and created extensive damage. I only wish I had known about Argent first. Claude came to my house to evaluate the situation and make his proposal. He was very professional and patient while he thoroughly explained how to resolve my problem. Claude meticulously completed phase one of the shower while Pete rebuilt 2 toilets. I was very impressed with how knowledgeable, clean and considerate they both were. I have the utmost confidence that at final completion I will be absolutely 100% satisfied.

I went in to Argent to ask a question about a leaking valve in my basement. I had a video of the valve and showed it to the owner, Nick. He found the replacement piece in minutes and explained how easy it was to fix myself. I asked him to come to my house to do it for me and he refused. I went home and did it myself, just as he instructed. He must have saved me $500. This guy is honest, trustworthy, and knows what he is doing. I would not use another plumber, period. I wish I could give more stars then 5.
