I own a home on Folly Beach and the deck needed to be completely rebuilt. Daniel was prompt in his communication with us and never missed an appointment we had with him.I will say he and his team exceeded our expectations in the quality of their work and the detail they put into it.We are looking forward to our next project with Daniel and his skilled team. I would recommend him for any deck work!

DESIGN, WORKMANSHIP, SCHEDULE, and PRICE were all FIRST CLASS.This was a ~90% rebuild of a more than 20 year old deck about 3 feet above a sandy grade. The deck is roughy square with an area of about 680 sq ft. and is accessed from a doorway of the adjacent house as well as two sets of stairs.Portions of the support post array were salvaged as well as the deck fence and handrails.I was extremely pleased with the outcome and highly recommend Daniel and his crew if you want an excellent design, planning, and execution.

Kirkland Designs was absolutely great all around! We had a old deck that was falling apart so we were recommended Kirkland Designs and they showed up to go over what kind of deck we were wanting. They understood what we wanted and didn’t force us into anything we weren’t wanting to do. Gave us a quote in a timely matter. Started when they said they were going to start and even finished a day early. The team showed up every morning on time and worked till afternoon non stop. We are very pleased with our new deck and can’t wait to enjoy it all the time. We certainly will recommend them to friends and family and whoever else ask us who we used or to use. Daniel and his team delivered a 1,300 SQFT IPE patio. The level of quality met or exceeded what was laid out in the original proposal. The patio was extremely level with minimal deflection. The Kirkland team always cleaned up each day after they were finished and limited disturbance to our property as much as possible.Daniels team knows what they are doing and it was clear that they take pride in what they do.Solid 5 star review.

These guys did an awesome job repairing my deck and stairs which were dangerously rotting out. He even helped recover and restore as much existing wood as possible to keep costs down. Awesome work and will definitely use them again.

We had a 20 yr old, tiny back porch which was in disrepair and had to be replaced. After seeing their work at our neighbor’s, I knew Kirkland Designs, LLC were the guys for the job. Daniel came over and we shared ideas of the deck and covered pergola we wanted. He took our dream, put the numbers together and we were on our way to getting on his schedule. A few days of rain plagued the start, but once the weather cleared Daniel and his team began making our deck & covered pergola dream come to life. We had some odd roof lines to overcome, but with our “want list,” their expertise and vision, use of quality materials and most importantly their attention to detail we now have a strong deck that will last for years to come. I have a great appreciation of excellent carpentry and they are masters of the craft. And it couldnt have been easy in the blazing hot sun. If you have a deck or porch project Kirkland Designs, LLC is the team you want in your back yard. Our new deck and covered pergola are life changing!

Kirkland DesignsWe recently worked with Kirkland designs on our second home improvement project. Daniel and his crew are very talented, professional and we would not work with anyone else. They arrive on time, and after each day they clean up the area so the work site isn’t a disaster.Our first project was a complete dock replacement. Our current project was much more involved. Our back deck needed to be completely taken down and a new deck and stairs constructed.We selected a composite decking and a cable rail to replace our old pressure treated and painted wood with wood spindles. The transformation was amazing. Not only did they do a fabulous job, the crew labored for days getting everything built perfectly. The cable railing takes a while and the guys didn’t rush the job to sacrifice quality. They also asked our input for on-site decisions regarding the look and functionality of the space which we greatly appreciated.Not only does the deck look great but they went above and beyond to reinforce the safety and security of our deck. When it was built 25 years ago, they felt it wasn’t as safe as it could be. They reinforced it with extra support beams and leveled it after years of being warped from the external elements.This extra attention to detail and desire to do the job right is what sets Kirkland Designs apart from others. Daniel and his team built us a brand new deck for our backyard and we couldn’t be happier! I did a good amount of research and got a bunch of quotes from all around (some outrageous!) but these guys were one of the most reasonably priced that I could find. And man I’m glad I found them! They were extremely detailed, honest, thorough efficient, and provided great quality workmanship! Thanks Daniel and crew!

I worked with Daniel to completely replace and repair my existing dock boards and railings. Not only did he and his crew do amazing work, they started the job 2 weeks earlier than originally planned. They went above and beyond expectations and the project was finished in just over a week. The guys were all friendly and courteous. They cleaned up each and every day and the dock is now set to withstand multiple decades without concern. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality workmanship. We plan to have Kirkland Designs re-do our outside deck, stairs and railings in a few months and we look forward to another stellar result.

Could not of asked for a better experience with a contractor. Daniel was responsive and very easy to work with. His crew showed up when they said they would be there and he completed the work in the timeframe he provided and at the cost he quoted. We had a small punch list at the end of the project and he send crew over the next day after I send him the list. Will definitely use Daniel again on the next project

He was very timely with everything, from coming out to give us a quote, communicating his start date, and completing the project. Daniel was great. We were originally only doing deck boards, but when they pulled up the old boards we found everything rotted, so we needed to do all of that as well. Daniel was fair and upfront about what needed to be done and worked with us on the unexpected cost. They got the job done so fast! They also cleaned up well after themselves and were very professional. He even helped fix my broken gate that was rotted. If youre looking for a deck builder, look no further.

Kirkland Designs brought our vision of our new fence and deck to life! He took our ideas and improved upon them to give us a fantastic outdoor living space. This company showed up every morning for two weeks to get our job done within the promised timeline. The attention to detail they put into their work is unlike any other company Ive ever had work on my house. Daniel and Bryan constructed our new deck with built in planters, a planter wall and a long bench area out of ipe. We hired Outdoor Spatial Designs to develop our landscape plan which included the deck and bench design and Daniel and Bryan executed it perfectly! They were always punctual, communicated with us on every issue and were extremely detail oriented and professional. We could not have been more pleased. I would highly recommend these guys for any woodworking projects you may be considering.

I hired this company to do some retaining walls at first. They ended up doing such a great job that I kept adding jobs for them. Daniel and his team helped me pick out plants and flowers that are just so amazing. I also had them do a custom patio for me as well and it turned out beautifully!They also laid down fresh sod and have been servicing my yard for me with weed control and edging and mowing.I would recommend them to everyone, if you want someone who shows up to work everyday these are your guys.

After numerous phone calls to procure a company that could build a very large deck on my property, these guys were one of a handful that answered the call and showed up with punctuality to bid the job. Beyond this they were the only ones that explained how they would build it and the materials they would be using. This made it a no-brainer for me. They built a deck that is going to last and were way more reasonably priced than their competitors. They started the job when they said they were going to begin and they worked on it 6 days a week until it was completed. We had Kirkland Designs build a matching gate to an existing custom stainless cable railing and ipe deck on our high end marsh home. We needed something that would keep toddlers from wondering off. I did not appreciate everything that goes into a project like this, but regardless....the gate matches the deck perfectly. The stainless cabling and hardware is an exact match to what was already present. I waited a few months to write the review to make sure the gate didn’t sag or anything....3 months later it still swings and self latches with barely a touch.We also had Kirkland do some other refinishing work on exterior doors and other similar projects....everything was done professionally and they made sure we were satisfied.Customer for life.

We had a great experience with Kirkland Designs. They beat the other quotes we received for our deck and staircase needs. They extended our back deck and replaced the rotting wood on our front and back entrances with composite. They also replaced a wood column in the front of our house. Multiple neighbors have commented on how nice it looks and I have recommended the company to them. We are going to contract them in the future for an outdoor shower and fire pit. They even let our dog out once when we requested because we were running late from work. Highly recommend!
