I called Frank about a week ago to install a 62” ceiling fan in my front office and replace a light fixture in the master bathroom. After reviewing some pictures I sent and a few video chats, he was able to give me a quote on the work. Price was very reasonable for what I was asking so he got me on his schedule.The quality of work is fantastic. Frank and his other electrician partner, Javier, got the job knocked out in a few hours and managed to get the fan set up despite some tricky attic setup in our house.If you want the job done right the first time, and want it to look great, I strongly recommend A1.

Instead of reaching out to a large company and $200 plus for a service call I called A1. Frank directed me to troubleshoot before coming out ( and charging for a service call). The troubleshooting solved the problem!! When I advised Frank I felt guilty for not paying for a service call, he shared that “doing the right thing/ being fair” has always worked for him and allowed him to build a successful business from word of mouth. I would highly recommend Frank if you are looking for highly skilled, honest, ethical and fair for commercial or residential projects.

Frank (the owner and master electrician at A1 Ability) was absolutely incredible to work with! We just bought our first home and had some issues with our electric running to our a/c. We called through our home warranty and they diagnosed the issue but tried to up sell us to the tune of $750 for “uncovered by warranty” services we felt we didn’t need. We called Frank for a second opinion and he arrived at our home within two hours and confirmed that we didn’t need such extensive work done. He fixed it the same night at a fair price and warranted his work. Saved us around $600 and our ac is up and running again! I’d recommend working with Frank to anyone! We now have a trusted electrician to do business with in the future with the peace of mind that he won’t oversell us or try and do unnecessary work!

Frank is exactly who you call for quality work completed in a timely manner. If youre making aesthetic upgrades to your home, Frank is an excellent choice because he will help you plan where lighting needs to be placed for what appropriate situation and is up-to-date with contemporary home trends. I was really surprised he felt my ceiling fan was a bit outdated - I thought so too, but many people would consider it to be cosmetically sufficient. We brought him in to install recessed lights and he did a beautiful job. If youre trying to upgrade your home, his fair prices and expertise are the perfect attributes needed to get the job done correctly. We now have an electrician for life.

I had some work done by Frank at our home in Carrollton, he is very knowledgeable and professional. He does not cut corners and does the job the way it is supposed to be done. He took care of everything we needed and also let us know that work was not necessary on a few items (I appreciate his honesty instead of doing unnecessary extra work for a higher bill). I would definitely use him again highly recommend him!

Late one night after a 100+ degrees day we lost power in the house. I called a couple other electricians prior to being able to find Franks contact info and was quoted as high as $1500-$2500 to replace a single 200 Amp main power breaker because they werent that common. They wanted to price it as high as what they thought the market could bear. I was actually told this which was disturbing to hear. I understand supply and demand but this was ridiculous. Frank came over the next day to install the breaker which was less than $200 from the parts house he uses. He found the problem was actually less severe and only required changing out a 60 Amp breaker which powered a sub panel. Frank is prompt and very professional. His work is thorough, priced fairly and his 40 years of experience really shows! I will definitely call Frank at A-1 Ability Electric in the future when electrical problems arise.

I appreciated the quick response to my call. He came the same morning and worked with my schedule. However, the price was outrageous. He came over to my home and charged me $125 to press reset on a plug. I realize that was a service call, but since he was in and out within 15 minutes, and there were no parts, I would hope he would adjust the price for that. After the he told me the price, he said I know thats expensive but Id never make any money if I didnt charge that. Id just be helping a lot of people out. It just left a bad taste in my mouth and honestly I felt a little cheated. But I did learn a lesson and know now to check the plug switches. Ive always been weary of anything electrical due to fire potential, and I do appreciate him taking the time to thoroughly check and make sure nothing major was going on.

Frank saved me hundreds of dollars! I needed to upgrade my amp output for a new oven I bought. Frank looked at the breaker box and discovered the existing wiring had the capacity for increase amp needed. Other companies would have charged me to rewire the whole line, but Frank just switched out the amp fuse. This saved me big! Fair, Honest, Reliable!
