From start to finish, the crew was professional, reliable, and highly skilled. I hired Harpel‘s remodeling to do a major renovation on my house in 2007. We remodeled my kitchen and bathroom and moved and rebuilt my stairs.. I was given an estimate, a schedule of the work, and a payment schedule. The company did everything, that Jim said they would do. And it was wonderful. Also, Russ and Vic are the best!Since then, I have had them back several times. They put new sheet rock on a wall in my dining room, they rebuilt my front porch, they put a toilet and shower in my basement, and they moved my washer/dryer hook up from the basement to the second floor. Plus other small jobs with plumbing and electricity over the years.All of the work has been excellent. Any visitors to my house to look at the porch or kitchen or bathroom, especially and complement the work.If I need anything else done on the house, I will be calling again.

I had Harpels Contracting perform several jobs for me over the years at my house and at my mothers. The jobs included window, sump pump, carpet, breaker box and vinyl flooring installation. They remodled our upstairs bathroom and installed a new full basement bathroom that included cutting new drains in the concrete floor. They replaced our old steel drain stack with PVC. They completed several timely repairs at my mothers house so that we would be able to sell it. Nothing but 5 stars here.

Jim and his crew were awesome! Great attention to detail. You can tell they really care about their work. We are so pleased how our garage turned out. Weve had them do work for us for many years. From a complete house remodel to a garage make over. We couldnt be happier!

I am most happy to write this review of Harpel’s Contracting and Remodeling. They have done a variety of work on my home over the years, both inside and out. Many jobs, including replacement and finishing of interior doors, repair of plaster on diningroom wall, bathroom remodel, replaced doors on wood shed, and most recently, installation of kitchen and entryway floors. With an older home, there seems to always be an issue making the job a bit more complicated. Jim Harpel has an experienced, knowledgeable crew. They have always been courteous and respectful of property. They have always been timely and kept us updated on their progress and got permission if any adjustments or changes needed made. They are meticulous and take pride in their work. I am so pleased, I really wouldn’t want to call on anyone else. It’s peace of mind.

This is a great company. We are very pleased with the work Russ and Nick did in our house. Jim was great to work with, getting the projects lined up, estimates done, ordering and helping us do our own ordering of supplies, giving advice with pros and cons, scheduling, follow-through, etc. These guys are super easy to deal with. They did two bathrooms for us, installed new exhaust fans, created new living space in the basement, drywall (including some ceiling), replaced attic steps, installed new exterior doors, some flooring, electrical and plumbing work, etc. Everything they did was exceptional. They pay great attention to detail, always leaving everything looking perfectly finished. They clean up after themselves at the end of each day. Very professional, friendly, considerate, and most of all, committed to getting it done right. Their years of experience certainly show through. They made it clear that we should call if anything needed to be changed or corrected after they were all done. There were a couple very minor things, and they promptly came over and fixed them. We really liked that they explained options, gave us ideas, but always let us make the final decisions. Russ said several times, Its your house. Tell us what you want and well do it. When they left on the last day (after 5 weeks), we felt like new friends were moving away. Hire these guys. You wont be sorry.

We cant say enough good things about Harpels Contracting. Owner, Jim Harpel is super responsive and really listened to us when we asked for a bid for our kitchen remodel. Jims company has been in Butler for 30 years and advertises superior quality, superior service, and high work ethics and they hit a home run with us, rounding all those bases. Russ Kerr, Company Superintendent at Harpels, and Earl were fantastic to work with. Very professional and very skilled. Our kitchen, once the worst room in the house, is now the our favorite room in the house. This was a total transformation!

Kudos to Harpels Contracting and Remodeling! Their team were professional, courteous and very considerate of the fact that we were living in the house throughout a five room, 5 1/2 month main floor renovation. They were patient with the numerous small changes in scope of work and in design I made throughout the process. They also made a recommendation for expanding my powder room that was a game changer as well as a few other minor roadblocks. The entire renovation was completed ahead of the quoted timeline, and with exceptional workmanship. Highly recommend them for your project.

Jim scheduled and completed the jobs (two separate jobs) within our time frame which was very important. The jobs were done professionally and they cleaned up thoroughly. Jim is very honest and trustworthy and I didn’t need to stay on site for the jobs. I highly recommend Harpel’s Contracting and Remodeling!
