    The Tri Star family team was punctual, friendly, and professional before, during, and after the install. They did a great job installing the recessed lighting on our main floor and were able to do so without needing to tear up the drywall on our ceilings.They showed up right when they said they would in the morning, prepped the space, did the installation, and cleaned up after the job; and they did it all in one day.Will definitely use them again for future electrical needs.

    I contacted Tri Star to install a transfer switch because they were highly recommended online. They called me back in no time and got a quote to me right away. The price was fair and I was able to get an installation appt within two weeks. The technician who installed it was courteous and friendly and did a great job! He also took time to walk me through his work and teach me how to use it. I will definitely be calling Tri Star the next time I need electrical work!!!

    Weve had our share of bad contractors, so it’s a pleasure to finally write a great review. We bought a new 24KW Generac generator, but needed someone to handle the remaining electrical work and start-up. After reaching out to several companies, we found many either declined the job because it wasn’t a full purchase and installation, or they responded with rude, condescending attitudes.I wish we’d called Tri Star from the start! From day one, the experience was exceptional. Communication was smooth and thorough—from the initial call to the quote, and right through to the work itself. Dennis and Brad arrived on time, treated our property with respect, cleaned up after themselves, and patiently walked us through everything we needed to know about the system.Best of all, they charged a fair price for both materials and labor, without any surprises.     Tri Star Electrical LLC exceeded expectations installing the electrical for a new hot tub and installing outdoor outlets. EVERY interaction from the initial call to the final visit was courteous and professional. The hot tub works and the electrical work passed inspection on the first visit from the township inspector. They were not the least expensive bid nor the highest bid. I believe the cheaper bid was going to cut corners and the representative from the company with the higher bid did not seem as knowledgeable. THANK YOU TRI STAR for a job well done!

    Tri Star was professional with their estimate, showed up on time, sent communication texts, and were so easy to work with. From the office staff, estimator, and electrical team everyone was wonderful. They were reasonably priced and we had them do a lot of work replacing our knob-and-tube wiring, adding a bathroom vent and light, fixing switches, adding outlets and repairing our outdoor box that had been improperly installed by the previous owner and was dangerously exposed. They got all the work done on time and even cleaned up everywhere they worked. They were amazing! I’m so glad I listened to my friend’s recommendation and will definitely recommend them to others who need electrical work.

    What a great experience!!! Mike arrived on time followed by Ben and Matthew. Excellent team! They changed all my plugs and switches, corrected problems with my electrical box, installed new outdoor plugs and installed new light fixtures. They wasted no time. I always ask a lot of why questions when trades are working in my house. All the guys answered my questions very patiently. I especially know more about my GFIs and how they work. I will have Tri Star Electrical back to my house to update my basement and will highly recommend them to anyone who asks.

    Tri Star Electrical are the best electricans! I requested their services to add my grinder pump into my generator system. They came out at the scheduled time, completed and made sure it was tidy upon leaving. Then, an additional requirement per the Township I live in, I called and again Tri Star returned promptly and fulfilled the request! I think this company should be named Five Star, not Tri Star!!!     Tristar was great. I don’t say that ever, 30 years as a contractor. Matt was on time and provided stellar service, he was personable as well. He identified the issue after some tracking processes, and provided a resolution that would accommodate our use. Repairs were made and he made sure his areas were clean before leaving, I would have them back again for any future work.     We had Tri Star install a new service panel in our home, replace the overhead power line to an outbuilding with underground cable, repair our dining room floor heat, increase the height of the overhead power line to our house and rework our basement wiring to bring it up to code. They sent a crew of 4 electricians that got everything done in 1 1/2 days, minimizing our time with the electricity shut off. The work quality was excellent.     Tri Star helped me with a situation that I had that forced me to move my service riser outside. They also upgraded my panel inside.     This is hard review for me, it could be a 1 star.I called today because I was having issues with all my outside GFI plugs. They came out immediately, which was so much appreciated, especually with the holidays fast approaching. Great service.I had replaced myself, a faulty GFI plug that controlled 8 outside plugs. Sadly, the new GFI plug had a different wiring sequence from my old plug, which I copied perfectly, wire for wire when replacing, not knowing how differently the new GFI plug had to be wired.All the service person had to do was switch two wires on the new GFI plug and guess what, my problem was corrected. I was very happy for such an easy fix until I got the invoice for $250, for a few minutes of actual work.I appreciate the prompt service and glad my problem could be resolved quickly, but I had pay such a huge price which I did not feel was fair. Even the service person said he was sorry because the charge did not warrant the work required, but nothing he could do.So I give 5 stars for great service, 5 stars for a great and guick result, but one star because the company should be a little flexible on charges, for good customer service.I was a dentist for 30 years. Hundreds of times, patients came in, I did virtually nothing to warrant a charge and said, Have a nice day, no charge. I guess I expect too such from todays businesses and society. Customer service and satisfaction are gone, its all about the money!

    Tri star Electric, of Brighton, Mi., during the entire process, from 1st call, thru quote, install and cleanup, was communicative thru media use, phone and verbally in informing me of the costs, timeframe to start and complete and tailored the job with the requirements for the home to meet and comply with applicable codes and allow for future electrical expansion in the breaker panel and subsequent supply line. No smoke and mirrors. straight-up prompt electrical upgrade from overhead to underground conversion and 1 day service. The work crew set up quickly and was on it, start to finish. I am especially appreciative of the fact that my original plan of what i wanted to achieve with electrical upgrades and modifications could be done for much less cost by a thorough Tri Star Electrical inspection to engineer top results, for less. They worked with me and most definitely get a two thumbs- up from me!

    Tri Star rocks! After our first DTE outage, Tri Star came out within an hour of our emergency call to get our just-certified-that-morning, never started, whole-house Generac generator up and running a few days early while our power was temporarily out. Due to a 2nd storm that arrived soon after our DTE power was restored, we then had another DTE power outage that lasted over 2 days! Our generator kept us and our whole house in great shape. Tri Star’s exceptional support throughout the entire process, including a well planned and executed installation of a Generac 24kW generator, has made us a very happy customer! We will be going to them from now on for all of our electrical needs.

    I did research on social media about this company before I called them. They had excellent reviews. Brad was the electrician that came to replace my 15 ft ceiling fan.     I had a new upgraded service and breaker panel installed. Scheduling the estimate was quick. The quote came the same day as the visit (an owner). Scheduling the job was easy with not too much lead time. The crew (led by the owners son) was prompt, courteous and efficient, and cleaned up after. The work looks neat and tidy.One issue I have is they did not accurately label the new circuits. This is not entirely their fault since there was some confusion with the previous markings they did not realize until near the end. I can easily make the corrections myself. But a few minutes confirming the circuits to correct the labeling errors would have made this a five star review.I would recommend them.

    I’m so glad we hired TriStar Electrical to install our home’s backup generator! We feel we got quality service at a good price. The three guys on the project worked hard all day, always friendly and professional (even outside in the cold weather).     Had Tri Star come out originally to diagnose lights flicker when load on a different circuit and running power & Ethernet out to my observatory.     Tri Star Electrical & Lighting installed a 22 KW Generac Automatic Standby Whole House Generator for us on May 21, 2020. The quality of the work was excellent! The crew arrived on time and completed the installation in less than 1 day. The operating instructions and test run were covered completely and understandably. There was a DTE power outage on June 2, 2020 and the generator started and provided power to the whole house and shut down when DTE restored power exactly as it is designed to do. Very well done!     Our family experienced a circuit failure that effected our microwave, our cook top and our water softener. We called TriStar Electrical early Friday morning and described our situation on their voice mail system. We received a call back later that morning indicating that they can come over before noon the same day. The owner, Steve showed up promptly and listened to our situation and began a diagnosis search on the circuit. He made sure that everything that led up to the bad circuit was working correctly and then identified the where the failure occurred. He had to dissemble a light fixture and then cut a small hole in our ceiling (the light fixture will cover the hole) so that he could reach a junction box. Inside the box, several wires had separated from the wire nuts and he quickly made adjustments, used new wire nuts and put everything back together. Everything worked out and he was cordial and professional. OK, now the monster bill (same day work, emergency call, ladder work, etc.) Well, he presented us with a very reasonable priced and fair invoice for the work he did. He cleaned up the work site, said thank you and said to call TriStar for any future electrical work. He will be my first call next time. Hopefully you will call TriStar Electrical first as well. We were completely satisfied with the workmanship and the price!
