I just hired KB Electric to upgrade the electrical service to my single family home in Montclair, as well install a new 200 Amp Panel, EV car charger, and modify a ton of outlets, switches and junction boxes. Everyone from Alicia in the back office, Kenny, the estimator and supervisor, and Hector + Sherwin and their crew was amazing to work with. They called me with questions, and were very thorough with walking me through their progress through the project. The town passed the work with flying colors. All around, I am very happy with the result, and highly recommend KB Electric - especially Hector and his crew.

I used KB Electric 2 times this year. I had then replace some light fixtures and GFCI. At the time, I didnt know I had a problem with GFCI it was just worked on a few months earlier. Turned out the pervious company did an incomplete repair. Hector was the Electrician that did the work in my home. He was quick, diagnosed the proper fix properly and charged a fair price.I am giving KB Electric 4 stars and will be using them again in the future.

Good people and timely service. Ralph and Sam showed up, I explained the problem (really bad strobing on kitchen overhead dimmer lights) and they fixed it in now time. Knowledgeable and pleasant guys. The receptionist was also very helpful and friendly when I called to set up the appointment. Good experience all around and I would definitely recommend them to others.

Wow...this company is amazing! I called before 11am for a kitchen outlet repair. Joe and Ricky showed up at 1130am, finished everything including fixing my doorbell and troubleshooting a couple other issues I have around the house by 1230pm. Best part...I didnt get ripped off! They were upfront with the cost and hourly rate and how long they would take. They didnt try to nickel and dime me or try to take the longest route to fix the problem. Very honest and competent. This is what you call a Professional. I just want to acknowledge them for such a great job and being amazing people. Would recommend them and will use them again in the future.

We are 100% satisfied with KB Electric! From the initial estimate to today’s final inspection everything is perfect and up to code. The terrific crew – Joe P., Victor, Ricky, and Joe Mc. are true professionals. They worked at our house for 1 month removing our antiquated knob and tube and rewiring the entire house to current standards. The crew was always on time, polite young men, professional, and focused on the task at hand. They cleaned up at the end of every day to make sure our family was safe from debris, dust, and equipment. In addition to the knob and tube, the crew installed 9 fixtures, a ceiling/light fan and very cool wireless light switches. Alicia, the office manager, is wonderful!! Shes super efficient, friendly, sent invoices and reminders, and is very professional at all times. We highly recommend KB Electric and will stay loyal to this company. There’s no reason to look elsewhere.

I had some work done at the beginning of December from K.B. and let say out of this world customer service. From the front office to the field tech. Hector was my tech. He was on time, very detailed, and explained every step. He is super clean, and he cleans after himself. He made me, my wife, and the kids very comfortable as he was working.As a new homeowner, Hector was the most professional tech I had in my house. Hector made me feel I made the right choice with KB for now and the future.

I had Henry from KB Electric come to my home to repair my outdoor speakers. The wires had been eaten by a squirrel. He did a great job and now we have surround sound! He was so good I called again and had him install a new outlet for a grill. Great Job! Nice guy. Fast and to the point. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Excellent company! We needed a lot of electrical work done on our house from upgrading electrical lines in rooms to replacing an old outdated electrical panel. We called KB to come give us a quote, and we didnt even need to haggle, their price was already lower than some other companies we asked for quotes from.After providing them a 50% down payment, they were there to do the work 2 days later and had the job done in another 2 days.I highly recommend this company if you need electrical work done.

We had a mid-sized project and overall had a positive experience in particular with Henry, the lead electrician, and Juan who was working with him.The scope included all new smart LED and HomeKit compatible switches, installing several new indoor and outdoor fixtures and outlets, and installing an underground power and data line from the house to the garage. Overall the team of 2-3 electricians were here for about 8 days. The pricing was very fair for the scope and we didn’t feel nickel and dimed.With as many finishes as were installed and having an old house there were a couple follow ups required but that was expected. Henry was very responsive during the follow-ups and was able to stop by within 1-2 business days, which was great.The only feedback is around scheduling - the team was not scheduled for the required length for the project so had to come back in 4 separate 1-3 day visits over 2 months. Due to covid I suspect the time between visits was longer than normal, and in any event would be worth double confirming the expected time up front.Overall, good value, friendly helpful guys, and good work. Definitely would recommend for your project.

Overall excellent experience in terms of cost estimation, communication and job execution. Ramiro and his team were extremely punctual, professional and tidy. Ramiro explained each task in the work order and methodology clearly and kept me up to date on status throughout the work day. The team was very respectful and cleaned up nicely. I’m certainly going to use KB again in the future and look forward to working with Ramiro again.

Henrry arrived on time. Was very pleasant . Meticulously fixed two outlets and a switch that were loose or poorly installed by previous electricians and most importantly he was incredibly patient when we were forgetful and slow to find the final circuit box in the house . I should add that 3 years ago it was another KB electrician who did a beautiful job disconnecting ALL the knob and tube wiring from our c. 1916 home. That job is incredibly invasive and almost forensic in nature and requires wall cuts etc. KB was one of very few electricians that I could find to do the work and KB sincerely attempted to limit the collateral damage to the walls and ceilings by making a series of smaller cuts . The work was excellent. Thank you KB!

Ill use KB every time. Frank came to install an outlet and a doorbell. He also fixed a bad switch and removed an old mysterious backyard wire. He did all the work quickly. He was friendly and explained what he was doing. Great work, fair price.

I have used KB Electric for a number of home improvement projects and I would trust no one else. They fixed a prior subcontractors awful electrical work on an outdoor deck and made sure everything was working to perfection. They installed an electrical meter and lighting in an outdoor shed, serviced a generator, and are now installing under-counter lights on an outdoor kitchen. Just top notch work. David and Alejandro came out because we thought we had blown a fuse on one of the walls, but the fix was just a tripped breaker we couldnt figure out. They werent going to charge us, but then we asked if they could install a flood light for us in our backyard and they said sure, and did an excellent job doing so. Would highly recommend KB

I would like to say thank you to the KB electric team that helped improve our home with the attention to detail that we were looking for. It all started with the Alicia the office manager. She was such a pleasure to speak with coordinate our K&T rewire. Alicia and the team were willing to go out of their service area and travel over an hour to our home. She answered all of my questions quickly and knowledgeably via phone and email. Egan led the project with the help of Orlando and Dennis. The team was a pleasure to work with and have in our home. They arrived on time everyday as promised and finished up in the same manner. Egan took the time to answer all of my questions and knew exactly want I wanted. You can tell that Egan has been doing this for a long time. Egan and the team cleaned up and put all supplies away at the end of every day. Egan would communicate with me daily and explain where they were in the project. The consistency of their work and cleaning up every day is key and it shows their professionalism and knowledge in what they do. Egan and the team also completed a list of other items that I had wanted completed while they were here. I couldn’t be happier with the finished project and their attention to detail. They made a knob and tube rewire look like it was nothing. It’s just what they do. Thank you! Look forward to working with you in the future.

I called another electrician to replace a pull chain in my kitchen. They cancelled at the last minute, so I decided to call KB Electric. Rocco showed up on time, was very pleasant and professional. The job was done in a matter of minutes. I was so pleased with the service, when I needed a circuit breaker replaced the following week I called again. Bryan was great. The problem was a little more involved then expected, but Bryan found the problem and fixed it. It was a pleasure working with him and KB Electric.

We needed our electrical box replaced and decided to try KB electric because of the fabulous reviews. Our appointment was made quickly, Rocco and his helpers arrived on time and worked quietly and quickly. Just as they finished up and left, a violent cold front came through with 60 MPH+ gusts. Our lights and microwave began flickering almost rhythmically so we called the office only to be told that there was no one available to come out until the next morning. We were concerned because in the 18 years weve been at this house, this phenomenon had never happened. We went to bed rather nervously but Rocco showed up at 8 on the next morning with Sal and they immediately and thoroughly inspected their work from the day before for any loose wires or surges in electricity. They allowed my fears 100% And did so with great kindness and empathy for which I am truly grateful.I give KB Electric five stars, pending inspection which I expect to go perfectly, whenever that happens. Rocco and Sal were wonderful and I cannot recommend them enough.

I was extremely happy with the service Rocco provided. This young man was professional, courteous and friendly. It literally took him 2 seconds to troubleshoot and fix the problem. This problem was a complete oversight on my part. Even thou Im happy with Roccos service, Im not so happy with the office manager for not allowing Rocco to give me a big break in the price for a job that took only 2 seconds.

Excellent service all around from KB Electric, Inc. Our home was recently struck by lighening and we called KB and Alicha answered the phone... she was such a pleasure to speak with and got us an appointment very quickly. Rocco, who is an amazing electrician in our estimation had a job on his hands, it was like finding a needle in a haystack type issues due to the lightning strike. We had so many issues from electrical outlets burned to wiring that was destroyed, etc. and he was able to find the issues and fix them on the spot. We cant thank him enough! KB Electric, Inc. is now the company we will always call with our electrical issues. Thanks again!

BEST CHOICE trusting, reasonable, quick results-October 15 2015--My first time using this service.KB Showed up faster than expectedKB found a clock plugged into a wall socket, the clock wire had exposed raw wires tripping the breaker ( which prevented a fire) the tenant was at faultKB charged for a regular house call $105 instead of emergency house call ($175)SECOND JOB:-- October 28 2015-- KB grounded 5 sockets ( apparently the ground wires naturally disintegrate after 95 years )even though this is not urgent to repair-- cost $240

Egan is a jewel and a top expert in the entire area. Dexter and Egan wrapped my furniture made the smallest DEMO holes possible and rid my entire home of KNOB and TUBE in Montclair. 7/12/2017I have used K B Electric for sometime now and cant say enough about them. They live up to their rewards in customer service and workmanship. When I call the staff they are always friendly and proffesional. They are always there to make sure to set up a time that works for me. They sent me their electician Egan awhile ago and now i ask for him all the time because he like the other workers you can trust what he says. Egan is exceptionally good and i know he will not do work that isnt needed even if it is part of what i asked for. Egan is very neat and cleans up when done.I would recommend them and do when someone talks about a electric compay.
