    After contacting a few marine electronics installation companies, I decided to go with Octopus Yachts: Marine Electrical Systems.I was first impressed with the professionalism of my personalized estimate of my job.They also utilize user friendly contract and payment software.The Octopus staff provided screenshots of possible equipment layout prior to installation. Finally screenshots of the completed project, which I appreciated. The initial estimate was fair and accurate.Andrea from sales is pleasant, friendly and polite as is everyone I dealt with at Octopus.Personal and professional all the way.Great team. I will certainly use them in the future.

    I have a 2010 Sailfish that required some up dated electronics including the installation of new radar. Octopus Yachts was most helpful. Exact on their estimate and did great Quality work. I already asked the team to do more work. I highly recomend them. You wont be disappointed.

    We have had an extremely positive experience with Aaron and his team installing a Garmin autopilot system in a small pilothouse boat with two helms - the two helms are at the same vertical level, one behind another which makes the hydraulic install a bit tricky; at the same time we also have had the ACR wireless lanyard system installed, and upgraded the Garmin maps/apps, plus some cleaning up of electric in the dashboard, etc.I am an okay DIY-er but this project was too complex, involving critical systems, just too much for me to tackle. The wait times for their service can be long-ish, as they are busy, but that did not bother me and their communication is great. They are not cheap, which is also fine given the quality of their work - first class.They provide clear estimates, and at delivery Aaron was the one who took us out for the calibrations/sea trial; he took several hours to adjust and calibrate the new systems and features, checking EVERYTHING, and providing point-by-point explanation of what was done and why, along with some personal anecdotes of what can go wrong and why. At some point, he questioned if there is possibly any air bubble left in the steering hydraulics and, just to be on the safe side, rebled the entire steering system one more time - with his portable bleeding system, using his own extra fluid.About 3 months and many boating hours later everything works as expected.     I purchased a new Grady White and my Salesman recommended that I Contact Tim Mullins at Octopus Yachts to discuss options for the full array of electronics that my new boat would require. During a fifteen-minute phone conversation, Tim asked all of the right questions and guided me thru the choices and options available. He then followed up with emailed copies of each unit and pricing for my review and approval. Without hesitation, Twin 16 Garmin Multifunction Touch Display units with Sonar, VHS radio, and Eperb were on order. He also recommended installation of the Siren 3 Pro Main Device which monitors the status of the systems and location of the boat. We were in contact during every step of the installation that included photos, and it was flawless. Also included are two hours of on-board training. I cannot thank Tim and his team enough for an excellent job, well done!Stan

    You fellas were great, you repaired my Garmin Fathom radar after a strike. you had my unit repaired perfectly. i ran my boat on barnegat bay for 3 hrs yesterday, and it worked so incredible. it made me so happy, images were incredible on it and on point totally fm miles away,, 3/28/24, johnny O

    Called them after a year of not getting a set of horns to work constantly on my new boat. The horns worked sometime but not always. After the service tech arrived, he inspected the entire system and traced the problem with in 40 minutes to the horns. I was sold 24-volt horns not 12-volt horns from another supplier. Upon his return with the correct horns, he took no chances and required the entire system. They work perfectly now. It great to have a company that does it right and neatly the first time.

    I have been using Octopus Yachts - Marine Electrical Systems successfully for many years on my past two boats.This past year, (2019) I had to replace all of my E-series Raymarine electronics on my Grady White Marlin 30. When I first contacted Aaron and Tim at Octopus, they were exceptionally responsive and prompt. They helped me select the best electronics package that matched how we use our boat and were very easy to work with. We ultimately installed two Raymarine Axiom Pro units (12 and 9 inch), Autopilot, Radar, transducers, antenna, accessories, etc. The installation was done on time, within budget, very clean, calibrated, and they did everything they had committed to do. The expertise of their technicians and the quality of their workmanship was exceptional. Their pricing is very competitive, customer service has been extraordinary and they have always been prompt to answer any follow up questions I had.I highly recommend Octopus Yachts Marine Electrical Systems for any electronic installation or electrical work on your boat.You will be very satisfied that you selected Octopus, they simply are the best !!!!Don E.

    I had Octopus install a full Garmin suite of electronics and a complete Fusion sound system install on my boat. This included removal of the old systems, and fabrication for the new systems. The functionality of the systems is flawless, which I expected, but all the work that was done looks as if it was done the manufacture of the boat at the factory. Just perfect.If you need this kind of work done. Call Octopus Yachts!

    At first we got off to a slow start with scheduling and parts availabilty. But when we finally got going we removed all of the Ray Marine electronics that were in my boat ( 38 foot Sea Ray Sundancer) and installed all new up to date Garmin. Their advice was right on the money. All the new electronics is very user friendly and does exactly what they said it would do. Was it a little bit pricey, yes, but when it was all said and done I got what I paid for. Once it was installed the training was second to none also.     At first I was disappointed by a lack of communication. Once that got quickly resolved I understood the situation about my back order and Covid-19 issues. Aaron and his technicians are great people to work with. They resolved the issues immediately and everything was done to very professional marine standards. I am very, very satisfied with the workmanship and the attention to detail.     Octopus Yachts provides excellent customer service. They have worked with me providing phone support, technical guidance and technical service as subject matter experts. Octopus repaired a factory radar wiring issue unplanned during a busy day, while short handed and under COVID rules. They could have rescheduled, but instead stayed and corrected the issue getting me underway safely. I highly recommend them for their knowledge, workmanship and professionalism. Dont hesitate to do business there.

    Octopus Yachts is my boat dealers preferred electronics vendor. As such, when we bought our boat new, Octopus was contracted for the installation of a black box VHF, two transducers, and twin Garmin GPSMap chartplotters. The work Octopus did was great. Very clean and professional install. Just this past summer, we were looking to have FLiR and radar added to our current system. I coordinated with Octopuss Aaron and Tim and they put a package together that fit my requirements perfectly - at a price competitive to other bids I received. The work product was nothing short of my expectations. Full disclosure, I was not crazy about the original mounting solution of the FLiR. However, I coordinated with Aaron and Tim, who worked tirelessly to design a custom solution to reposition the FLiR where I wanted it - and didnt stop until I was happy. I mention this because any reputable, seasoned electronics installer can do a nice job of installing high-quality components. Its the customer service element that sets these installers apart. Octopus will always have our business.

    Octopus Yachts installed an upgraded electronics on my 283 Grady White. I was extremely impressed with their knowledge, professionalism and workmanship.They even went above and beyond during this installation. While completing the installation, they identified and corrected an ongoing problem with the hydraulic steering.I would highly recommend Octopus Yachts to others!

    Octopus Yachts was recommended by the dealer who sold me my new boat. Grady White boats dont come with electronics, so youre on your own.Octopus is a small shop (which is a plus). Very professional. They recommended a chart plotter, VHF radio and transducer that fit my needs and my budget. They were very upfront about their pricing and the labor estimate.They are craftsman. The devices are perfectly placed. The holes were cut clean. The wires behind the helm were neat and tight. Not a speck of dust on the boat. I was initially surprised at the amount of time listed on the estimate, but after seeing the quality of the work, I understand. It was well worth it.Lets face it... everything on a boat is expensive. Theres no bargain hunting. Drilling a hole in your hull for a transducer, cutting a perfect rectangle in your helm, running wires invisibly, and interconnecting systems are not DIY jobs. Its not worth the risk of screwing it up. Hire these guys... youll be glad you did.

    The best around! We have been using Aaron and his crew since they opened! Great Service, fantastic pricing and top notch work. If you catch them during the busy season, their schedule fills up quickly, theres a reason the other guys arent booked and can get to your boat a bit quicker, but Octopus Yachts is worth the wait and workmanship & knowledge are unmatched!

    I cannot say how thrilled I am with the service that Aaron and the team provided us. We had an autopilot HARD down. They found the needed part, met us pierside for installation and testing. Aaron then went out with us to ensure it was working properly. He even helped us customize the display on the ride back to the pier. This company knows what they are doing, stocked the needed supplies to be responsive, and understands the importance of ensuring their work is top notch when the systems ensure the safety of you and your family.     Octopus does all my boat electronic installs and upgrade. They have always been responsive and professional with any work that has been done. Thanks to them I have one of the most fully loaded 28 Regulator from sixteen inch Garmin displays, FLIR and now the new Garmin GXM 54 antenna with has the new XM fish mapping.

    When it comes to todays advancements in technology, it pays to know when its time to bring in help to sort issues our and get new equipment dialed in correctly.     Stupendous, Expert, Artisan, Honest and Friendly are the adjectives that I would use to describe Aaron and his staff at Octopus Yacht. It is easy to compare prices and widgets in today online world. But what is really important is customer service after the sale and installation. Boats like homes are becoming more and more complex. And with this complexity can come frustration. The last thing that you want at 1am when you are leaving to head 100 miles away from land is a bird nest of unidentified wires or do it yourself precision for you navigational equipment.Aaron attacks his installations with the mind of an engineer. The details are important, and installation is planned out, wires and fuses are labeled and placed logically. His staff is attentive, courteous and has always treat our boats with respect.It is great that Aaron boats in the area that he services, he is a growing business that want to do right by his customers. In a very challenging somewhat seasonal business I have often talked to Aaron in off business hours on a Friday night when he was trying to save some families weekend.In this hobby getting weather and schedules to align is always a challenge. We enjoy doing business with a person that invests in his staff and his community. And at the same time understands how important a weekend on the boat is to a family!
