    These folks are great!! They texted a half hour before showing up, which is really nice when you have only an appointment window. The electricians and the office folks communicated well and thoroughly, worked quietly and efficiently, and quoted accurately. They also did a great job cleaning up after themselves.

    BenCame out to some electrical work on my house. Did a great job. Great attitude really appreciate him and his hard work would advise you to use this electrical company. Great prices great value and they honor their work. They did some work on my house. Two years ago had a problem with the switch. They came out fixed the problem at no charge even though it wasn’t under warranty anymore great company.

    We hired Custom Electrical Services to move a few outlets, install recessed lighting and to move a junction box. I was able to get on their schedule quickly for a quote and once we decided to use their services they had availability for install in the next week. The electrician was very courteous, cleaned up after himself and was able to answer all of the questions I had about the service. I would not hesitate to hire them again for future projects.

    The process from requesting initial quote to getting the installation done was smooth, fast and professional. Brittany from the office was really responsive and she even shared and was able to match and bid the other quotes on same scope of work. While Jeff was professional and really friendly and got the tesla wall charger installed beautifully for us. We highly recommend this company for your electrical needs.

    Had a great experience with Custom Electrical Services. Their initial response to my inquiry was on a weekend which really surprised me and once I received the quote, everything flowed seamlessly. We purchased our charger through PUD, simply due to the instant rebate option, and once we confirmed we had it on hand they were at our house for installation in just a few days. Installation went super smooth with great customer service. Highly recommend!

    Recommend by Tesla, Custom Electrical Services completed the reconfiguration of my panel and installed a Tesla Universal Wall Connector. They did a great job and performed a very clean and nice looking installation. They made sure I was briefed on all the intricacies of use, and connected it to my WiFi. I feel the price was very fair, and they made sure I was qualified for the sales tax exemption in WA state. Overall I was very satisfied and would highly recommend them!

    Travis, Zack and Chris were very respectful of my house, my space, careful to not disturb anything (had a water leak a few months ago, so everything is everywhere).They were courteous, friendly with my pets (2 cats and a dog), and patient!The cats were all up in their business, curious about everything. 😂I was just really impressed with how these guys did their work, their work ethic!They even cleaned up after themselves!And, of course, they did a great job on the electrical stuff as well!I will definitely recommend them!❤️❤️❤️

    Awesome experience. I worked with several people at Custom Electrical Services who all contributed to this being a success. Of course when you get bids its easy to pick the lowest number, but there are so many other factors to consider.Cost: I got three bids and they offered me the most competitive price. So that’s a good start.Reliability and Timing: These guys showed up on time and ended on time. They committed the resources to make sure the job got done. Kyle was finishing the job and when he left, he had taken care of every last detail.Expertise: Luis was managing the job at my house and he is INCREDIBLE. He is smart and has so much experience. He came with fresh ideas and advice I had never considered, and helped me craft the most perfect lighting plan for my house.Flexibility: I decided on some changes mid-way through and it was really critical to work with a company that was happy to accommodate these.Quality of Work: Their work is beautiful. Tidy and thoughtful. No random damage and problems that you’ll find with other contractors. The wiring is clean, and they consider every detail. They also take the time to show you your options and not just assume things.Communication: Excellent across the board. Josh was great in coordinating the job and checking in. Luis kept me informed at every step along the way. Also, between phases and I had a bunch of time-sensitive questions that came up and he responded to me instantly! Luis is an angel an went way above and beyond. Kyle also had great communication; he even let me know right away when some other contractors showed up at my house unbeknownst to me… I am so thankful Kyle was looking out for me and my house.Overall Experience: I’m simply grateful. This project could have easily been a disaster since I needed so much guidance, but they were thoughtful and patient and took the time to make sure my dream became a reality.     Custom Electrical Services was fantastic to work with to install my EV charger, I cannot recommend them enough! After receiving a fast estimate, I had a handful of questions that I got prompt and very helpful answers for. Our electrician, Don, was superb! He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and helped beyond just the electrical work to make sure I was fully set up to use the app to control charging. I will definitely be using them for future electrical work!

    I have had 2 wonderful experiences with Custom this year. We are working on site preparation for a large shop and Joe came in for a free estimate and planned out the job. They arrived on time and were prepared. It was a job that took two days and all 4 employees were polite, professional, and knowledgeable. Joe has been a great communicator. And his crew mirrors his professionalismThey installed a breaker in my panel, ran line under the house, and then installed the new outdoor panel and 2 20-amp outlets to the back of the lot where the shop will be built. They had all of the tools needed, kept the indoor spaces clean, wore masks indoors, and were nice to my crazy dog. Throughout the work I was impressed with Joes crew and how fast and neat they worked. on site, Kevin kept me updated as he progressed and they called when on their way to confirm arrival on Day 2.I will use them again in the future and definitely trust my electrical needs to them. Side note, I also appreciate the way they handle the bidding process with a detailed explanation by email and then a simple invoice process on line. Their bid beat two other companies and I believe their reputation is better too based on feedback in the neighborhood.

    My brand new Amazon 1500 Watt heater kept tripping my 15 Amp garage GFCI circuit, so I realized that I needed a new 20 amp circuit breaker, 12 gauge line and outlet, Doh!! I’m familiar with electrical, but didn’t want to deal with the required permit. So I removed the drywall, checked reviews and sent out a Yelp request. Custom Electrical Services responded extremely quickly, (less than 2 hours) with a reasonable quote. Then they scheduled me for the next day. Wow! While they were working at my home, I asked them about a garage outlet that I had attempted to install a year earlier, but ran into difficulties. It was sitting there as an unfinished project. They were able to install the new 20 amp circuit breaker, run a new 12 gauge line, an outlet AND a separate new 15 amp for my unfinished project. They didn’t have that other breaker with them so they had to return early the next day. This worked out as they were able to obtain the state required electrical permit and the inspection was performed virtually as soon as the work was as completed. The second day with the inspection only took 20 min! They came out when they said they would, did a great job, cleaned up the worksite, and got through the inspection. I contacted them on a Monday and everything was completed by 8:30 am on Wednesday.

They communicate well in preparation for the visit, and on-site they are able to explain plans, adapt to unexpected surprises, and tackle hard jobs. They have mounted an EV charger for me, works perfectly. Also added/fixed several outlets, helped me install low-voltage ethernet in very difficult parts of my home through stone & brick... the list goes on and on.     These guys did terrific work, and I highly recommend them. Jeff, the Journeyman electrician, had an apprentice and I was impressed with his instructions, care, and the explanations he gave his apprentice and gave me both during the bid and during the actual work. He carefully considered every question and suggestion and I am 100% satisfied with their work. They even fixed several issues while bidding that they did not charge me for - and explained why the problems were simple and not needing major work. They are worth every penny, and I am thrilled to see such excellent professionals out there working and making the world a better place at the same time.

    Firstly Zac & Travis were very accommodating of me being late. Secondly their quality of troubleshooting was very efficient and thorough to narrow down the issue. They came back the next day to complete the job once the replacement parts arrived and took pictures and a video to demonstrate the fix, as I was not present the next day. They did not upsell me on anything or take any longer than needed. I would highly recommend this company and will definitely use their services again if needed.

    I got a NEMA 14-50 outlet (50 Amp breaker) for electric car charging. The entire process was seamless. Open the website, answer few questions, upload the requested pics. Got a quote in 2 hours and was able to get an appointment booked right after that.The electrician was super courteous and professional and wrapped up the work in under 45-60 minutes. He even explained the entire process to me and asked me my preferences even before starting anything.I am so impressed because I did reach out to 5 different companies and I am still waiting for a reply from 3 of them. Another one reached out but stopped responding after my follow up questions.I will recommend custom electrical to anyone without any concerns.

    We had an oil-fired (yes, oil-fired) hot water tank die of old age, and they were able to get us a 50-amp circuit for electrical replacement very quickly in our ancient utilities room, and coordinated on the day of install with our plumbers to get it done pretty much as soon as possible for a very reasonable price.

    During the pandemic I have worked with several different contractors (electrical and non-electrical) for various house remodeling projects. I can hands down say that my project with Custom was the best experience out of everyone. These are good people with good work. It was hassle-free and everyone (office staff and electricians) were very communitive and easy to get ahold of throughout the process. Today the state inspector came by and approved of everything. He had good things to say about Customs work as well.Timeline: Placed downpayment, electricians were out about 2 weeks later, the electrician and apprentice did 2 days of work, the electricity was only shut off for a few hours on the first day, state inspector came out a couple of weeks after that. Expect that the state inspector scheduling may be a bit challenging due to increased home renovation projects in the Seattle area, but that is out of Customs control.My project included:- Permits and utility fees. Custom took care of all administrative filings and communication with PSE and WA LnI.- 200am panel replacement w/surge protection- Upgrade main grounding/bonding system. Including a bonding to my water main, which I did not previously have.- 30amp 240v outlet for RV. I chose to have the conduit run about 12 feet along the outside of the house due to things blocking it on the other side.- 50amp generator interlockPics below. Hope to use them again in the future.

    The physical therapy office that I work in had Custom Electrical replace all of our lights in the office and they were great! Respectful, nice, and knowledgeable. Got the job done without having to disturb any of our patients/clients in the office or in our gym.     We could not find replacement bulbs for our Fluorescent Lights and decided to change over to all LED in our shop. Joshua worked with us and provided a reasonable quote. Within a few days Ben and John did an outstanding job taking down the old fixtures, putting up new LED lights and positioning them for the most effective lighting. In addition, they obtained a permit for us quickly. Very pleased with the entire process - we will use them for all our electrical services in the future!

    Amazing work by Jeff, kind and respectful.Jeff provided lots of helpful information and even changed out our lightbulbs on the way out. One of the issues was I needed to simply press a reset button, duh, but he showed me how and wasn’t condescending at all. We will likely use them again. Brandon and Travis came by to do the work, very pleasant guys and patient. They added a new dedicated outlet for a crawl space sump pump.     I requested quotes from a few different companies to extend an existing 120V circuit to power a new exterior sun shade that I had installed. Don from Custom Electrical Services came out in person and gave me a free quote.He very quickly gave me the sense that he knew exactly how to handle the job. He clearly and confidently explained his plan, as well as a couple of backup options in case the framing behind my wall didnt cooperate with us. Of the three electricians who came to provide quotes, not only did I get the best feeling from Don, but he also quoted me the best price.When he came with his apprentice Nate to do the work, they did an expert job. The work was perfect, they made sure I was satisfied with every step of the project, and they answered all of my novice questions with patience and a good attitude. They even cleaned up after themselves.While they were here, they also took a look at a few troublesome outlets I had both inside and outside my house, figured out why they werent working, and explained it to me. They didnt even charge me for that.The next time I need electrical work done, I probably wont even bother calling anyone else but Don.

    Custom Electrical Services were the Electrician of choice for us during the recent construction of our DADU (Detached ADU in Seattle. From project initiation to completion the experience was terrific. Jay came and met with us, reviewed the project plans and listened to the requests we had for the project. Bid was provided quickly and was very competitive. Next phase transitioned to the project coordinators and the next steps to getting the project underway were clearly communicated. Deposit and payment methods were easy and transparent to work with. The Electrician team arrived per the agreed schedule and were extremely professional and provided top quality work, attention to detail in a timely manner. All inspections passed 1st time. The entire team at Custom also helped navigate the long road of new service application/install from Seattle City Light, which was a huge help.     I engaged Custom Electrical for the EV charger installation of my Tesla.Zack and Travis were awesome. They came by to take a look at the electrical panel and found that it was smaller than expected for a home my size. There were only open two spots left on my panel board for new connections, which were not enough which could mean upgrading to a larger panel that would cost upwards of $4,000. However, both Zach and Travis were able to think out of the box and suggested re-configuring the panel in order to create another open spot.This enabled them to complete the job with just an additional $200 fee instead of spending $4,000 in a new panel!Kudos to Zach and Travis for going the extra mile and putting the customer’s interest first. On the actual day, they arrived on time and finished the job within a couple of hours and I now have a working EV charger.

    Fantastic service from Custom Electrical. I needed a wall charger for an EV installed. They were quick to respond to my original request, were able to quote the work from photos that I took, and were clear with their costs. Communication leading up to installation were great, including morning-of phone call to let me know they were on the way. The electrician discussed the pros/cons of the various mount points I was considering, we decided on one and the work was completed within a couple of hours. The electrician had even pre-scheduled the inspection, so no waiting around for an inspector a few days after install!

    Had a EV charger for a NEMA 14-50 outlet and it was installed in a good timely manner. Prices were good compared to other quotes I had or never received back from. They were very clear and transparent about the costs and this was the only company who let me know about the sales tax exemption in the state of WA for this kind of job. Luis arrived and gave me a very fair quote to install a TV, run Power and wires for TV so no wires showed. Luis gave me a few options. We choose the best option for us.     We have hired Custom for many, many jobs over the past few years. We are a lighting distributor so we use them weekly on all of our commercial projects.     Highly recommend Custom Electrical and especially Don Roberts as he is really an experts on difficult electric issues. I had a detached garage without power since May. Called multiple electricians but no one could figure out the issue and several of them never came back to complete triaging after seeing no easy fix. Fortunately, I found Don and he came in August with right wire tracer equipped and pointed out the problem could be somewhere in the wire between my garage and my house. Before asking me to start digging, he and his helper searched everywhere inside the house including crawl space to make sure no other places that might have issues. He didnt mind to lay flat on my porch and deck using the flash light to peek through the deck boards to confirm how wires are coming out of the house and going down to the ground. After finding out the wire route, he showed me how to use a hand held tiller tool (Truper) to quickly break up compact soil so I can identify the location of wires easier. After I exposed wires by digging dirt out, I called him back again in October. He and his helper were able to fix the broken wires using two splices. The repair cost was eventually way cheaper than multiple quotes I got earlier and saved me thousands of dollars. He is very professional, efficient, honest, and polite. The company is easy to work with as well. They charge low dispatch fees, cheaper than other companies I asked. They are very responsive to Yelp inquires, emails, text msgs, and calls. Very satisfied and I would definitely recommend to my neighbors and for sure to reach out directly for any future electric issues.

    I normally hire independent contractors because they’re cheaper, but Custom Electric reached out to me on Thumbtack, and I was pleasantly surprised by how reasonable their pricing was. Chad came over to perform a minor repair, and he left such a good impression on me that I asked him to quote us on a much larger project.     I noticed one of the outlets in my room was smoldering this morning! I was highly alarmed. I turned off the electricity to the room at the breaker and hopped on Thumbtack to find an electrician. Custom Electrical Service responded right away and had someone available to come during their morning appt window. Within 2 hours a nice gentleman showed up and replaced the faulty outlet in about 10 minutes. It was not cheap, but the electrician was quick and seemed knowledgeable and experienced. They also warranty their work for a year, which gives me a sense of security. The only snafu was that I received an invoice for $100 more than I was quoted. I wrote an email back advising what my quote had been and they apologized for the error and sent back a revised invoice right away. Payment was super easy online. Im glad to have peace of mind again that my home is safe.

    I know why Custom Electrical Services has such great reviews now that they helped get electricity to my kitchen island fixed.After water damage from leaking dishwasher left us with a long process of kitchen floor and cabinet tear-out, water damage mitigation, floor repair and then finally cabinet & countertop re-installation, I called Custom Electrical to re-connect all of the wires, etc. and bring back electricity to our kitchen island.     I was so pleased with Zach Gardner and James Lydin when they came to do our electrical work in response to the work orders requested by the buyer of our home in Fircrest.     Kyle was great!!! We bought a large older home that had the bathrooms upstairs remodeled by the previous homeowner who did the wiring himself. He had the wiring all screwed up and a couple of months after taking possession of the home half the lights upstairs stopped working. Kyle showed me and explained how everything was wired and why it was not correct. Kyle discussed my options so I knew what I was looking at for pricing. They also replaced a lot of wiring that I had done improperlyover 30 years ago.     I hired custom electrical services for some electric work done in my house which included adding new outlets, plugs and cans (spotlights) inside the house with a lot of precision since my house is brand new, built in 2017. Everything was explained to me nicely and most of the work was done by Alberto, he is very smart, technical and detailed oriented electrician. I was surprised by his attention to detail and knowledge about the electrical stuff. He was able to relocate new plugs and add some new plugs along with adding a lot of cans and some light fixtures without even damaging any walls. This is a pattern I have seen with Custom Electrical, they have a hard time understanding the scope of work from initial description of work (may be it is due to my communication skills).     I made a call to Custom Electrical Services (CES) to troubleshoot an issue with power going out to 2/3 rooms on a single circuit. James and Alex came out to take a look.     We used Custom to install a ceiling fan and new light in our kitchen. Both electricians were professional, thorough, and discussed several options to ensure we got exactly what we wanted. We will definitely use them for any future electrical needs.
