These guys are AMAZING!!! We had them come over for a second opinion after another company quoted us $6k for a job. They throughly explained why the other company hadnt made an accurate assessment and were able to fix our problem for close to $1k. That was a seriously a godsend and the work was impeccable! Not only that but they made a big effort to fit us in right away because we didnt have power in all our rooms, even though they are booked out a while. HIGHLY recommend this company!! The mast and and circuit breakers for my home were damaged during hurricane Helene. Josh and Justin came out to fix the problem withing 24 hours. They asked me to text photos of the damage so they could be prepared when they got here. Problem fixed withing hours and Duke energy was able to restore power. Thanks for such great service.

The two electricians arrived on time and diagnosed the problem quickly. They brought the needed scaffolding to reach the living area ceiling fan. They installed a new box since the box the new fan came with was apparently defective. The cost was very reasonable since Buckingham had installed the fan several months ago. Ive used Buckingham Electric for several jobs in my house. Chris and Austin have been the two that always come out. Theyre highly professional and polite. They do their work quickly and efficiently. Today, they had to troubleshoot two electrical outlets in the kitchen. They found the problem, repaired it, and were gone in about 20 minutes.There was also a time that I needed them to be on site with a very short time frame. Jordan, in the office, worked with me to help ensure Chris and Austin got to my house as quickly as possible.I would not hesitate to call Buckingham Electric for any of my needs going forward!

Steve and Nick were punctual, friendly and very professional. They were clean and did good work. We needed a new outlet in a closet (required dry wall cutting), light switches moved (again dry wall cutting) and a ceiling fan replaced with new controls. It all took less time than originally estimated and everything was done extremely well. This is the first time we have used an electrician in the area (just moved from NY) so cant say if they are expensive or not but the prices seemed reasonable. Will use again for future work.

Nick and Preston did a great job! Ive worked with many electricians and they are by far the most professional to work with. The company as a whole has much better communication than other companies and were able to install within a week of Derek quoting. Scheduling times were more flexible, but with communication this was not much of an issue. If you anticipate 2hrs of wiggle room during the holidays, I would recommend them to everybody and will definitely call Buckingham Electric when I need an electrician again!

Every part of our experience with Buckingham Electric was excellent. From our first interaction with the office to the detailed work completed. The team scheduled our estimate quickly, and Derek showed up exactly on time. He listened to our needs, and was very friendly and considerate, and had great suggestions to add value. He provided the quote before he left, and gave an estimate on lead time to start the project at our convenience. We felt the estimate to be reasonable for the work involved. We had the same experience with Jason who arrived exactly on time for the multiple projects on the plan. He had an apprentice with him and we appreciated how Jason and Dave worked collaboratively. This team was excellent in communicating with us to ensure each element of the project was to our expectation, before, during and after. They cared about the work environment, being very careful to put down drop cloths, and use painters tape for marking. Jason completed 100% of the work within the estimated amount of time - and was clearly focused on details. The cost of the project was exactly as the estimate had indicated - as such we were pleased. We used Buckingham Electric to do the electrical for a basement apartment we were renovating. They were incredibly professional, on time, communicative, personable, and even funny! It was also a very reasonable price, and they were very up front about the costs and potential issues. Additionally, they did a great job not messing with the sheetrock that had already been installed, and that was super appreciated. Very creative and effective in their installation. Additionally, we realized near the end of the renovation that we needed another outlet put in, and they were able to come back within 1 day and install it in under an hour at a very reasonable price. I called a few electricians and most weren’t actually willing to come out right away, and the contractor from the insurance company said repairs could be a few days. Buckingham had me text them photos of the damages and picked up all the equipment and were working at my house in an hour. They did a fantastic job and finished in time for the power company to restore our power by evening! Totally awesome!

Buckingham Electric sent two electricians to do several small repair and renovation jobs for my 1971 house. Jason contacted me by phone to meet for an estimate, and appointment he kept on time. He listened attentively to what I needed, asked good questions to that helped clarify what he was to do and how it would be done. We set up a time for the work to be done and they arrived and got right to work. I was impressed with how careful they were to work with minimal disruption and dust. They explained what they were doing as they went along, they presented meaningful options when those were available. I observed first-hand that all work was consistently done to a quality standard. Both Jason and Josh were friendly, worked efficiently as a team, cleaned up after themselves, and did high quality work for a fair price. I have found my Asheville electrician!

I have used Buckingham electric four times in the past 12 months and have found them exceptional. They have provided prompt service on some urgent and complex electrical problems and were efficient, tidy, courteous, and trustworthy. I had a problem with loss of power that the power company said was a personal problem and that I needed to call an electrician. Buckingham responded immediately determined that it was a Power Company issue and helped me resolve the issue with the Power Company with immediate restoration of power. A week later I had a piece of specialized machinery that would turn off repetitively after only a couple of minutes of operation and they were able to solve the problem when the manufacturer just wanted to replace the unit at a considerable cost to me. I am now using that equipment with minimal repair costs and no replaced parts. I highly recommend them. They will be my electricians of choice for any future electrical issues.

We had a number of outlets in our kitchen go dead, but I could not find a GFCI. Within an hour of my calling Buckingham two techs were at our door, donning protective boots, ready to jump in. I estimate it took no more than 30 seconds for them to find and reset the appropriate GFCI, problem solved. Because it was such a quick solution they very kindly offered not to charge for this visit, and asked only that when we need more comprehensive help we think of them first. We sure will!

I had a solar system installed by another company (BRIO) my single phase inverter went out about a year ago and I have had issues getting the install company to solve this. I had enough waiting for someone to due their job and with what I spent to install I have had enough. So I called Buckingham Electric Inc. just planing on having them replace my Inverter but they went the distance. They contacted SolarEdge and got a RMA for me to replace the inverter. 5-7 business days for replacement. I am very happy.

ABSOLUTELY stand up folks employed here! I work for a roofing contractor, I had a client with an extremely tall roof needing a tarp installed after the slew of rainstorms in WNC. Sure, I should carry an extension ladder but not feasible in my tiny Chevy Colorado. I usually opt to a little giant ladder. After accepting defeat, we noticed Buckingham Electric a few homes over.We asked the gentlemen working if we could perhaps borrow their extension ladder on their truck. Without hesitation, they offered it up. Although, now another issue arises- my truck is still too small to accommodate a ladder of such magnitude. The crew lead instructed another electrician to DRIVE and DROP off the ladder. Requesting nothing in return!This type of neighborly professionalism and willingness to help another tradesmen is pretty old school! I will refer EVERY client needing electrical work their way!

He was prompt, efficient, and amazingly well prepared, even for problems that popped up unexpectedly. They have earned our trust, and we now know who to call for any electrical problems.When a light fixture separated from an ancient ceiling fan in my 122-year-old office with boulders for walls, I wasn’t sure what an electrician would find. Buckingham Electric sent Jason Ingram. He came when he said he would (even though he wasn’t sure what he was getting into), got right to work, and fixed the problem. He even brought light bulbs! I had a ceiling fan go out in my bedroom at the end of July. After trying to install 2 different new fans that did not work, I found Buckingham Electric on Angies List. Jason and Nick came to my house, on time and calling ahead to make sure I was there. Both were very polite, courteous, and professional. After testing my wiring and finding nothing wrong there, Jason recommended buying a third new fan but from a different manufacturer, assuring me the two of them would install it for me. I did so, Jason and Nick returned. I was only able to get one of their later appointments for the day and the one ahead of me ran late. Jason called twice to let me know what was happening and where we were with my appt. Again, very polite, apologetic, and courteous. When they were finally able to make it, Jason and Nick installed the newest fan, with success, in a little less than an hour. I would highly recommend this company and plan to use them in the future. I had a whole home generator installed and this group was very professional and prompt. My delay was in getting the plumbing/ gas line situation corrected before the generator could be tested. This group did not bill me for all of their invested time until they confirmed that the generator was operational. I would definitely use their services again.
