This place is amazing. Got my power on so quickly after it went out, member service was great answering my questions and they are the electric bill is very reasonable. If you ever would like to help lower your bill, they do offer someone to talk to you about it and possible have someone come to your house to see what is going on. -

Words cannot express how grateful I am to the linemen and women who are risking their lives and working on little to no sleep to get everybody’s power up again. I am extremely grateful to have such an amazing power company that cares so much about their customers and put their own needs aside to make sure we are taken care of. Just a quick note to those that lost food from their fridge or freezer, check with your insurance agent. Some homeowners and renters insurance policies to cover that. -

Highest recommendation. I use the SolarWise program to get the benefits of solar energy without having to buy and maintain panels. I use the Time Of Day program to charge my EV for $0.06/kwh, which is a fraction of the rate utilities charge in other states. My power is interrupted +maybe+ once every four or five years, while my parents, who have Xcel Energy in Minneapolis, lose power once a month. I enjoy voting for the board of directors and reading each candidates energy plan, which couldnt happen at other utilities that are run by unaccountable executives. Ive been a customer since 2016 and the more I learn about energy, the more I like Connexus! -

I had a problem with a power outage and has to call customer care for some help. It turned out that there was a mix up on some billing details and my representative Zack was beyond helpful. Not only did he help solve the issue with patience and kindness, he also made sure to get my electricity back up and running asap. He even followed up to make sure all was well. I am very happy with the experience Ive had this far with Connexus! -

Joe in customer service was a godsend, truly. My mother lives on her own and had a recent, extended hospital stay so bills fell by the wayside in comparison to ICU and rehabilitation trips. He worked with me to get a payment arrangement set up and had power restored in seconds. He needs to be recognized for his patience and determination with our case! -

I called in today and spoke to a rep that did not seem to want to help me. It actually made me feel like I was even more discouraged when I’m already in a bad financial situation. So then we hung up and that was that. I told my husband about it and he said call Connexus again and see what happens. So I called in the second time and spoke to a Missy. Missy heard me out and sympathized with me regarding my situation. She worked with me and helped me find a resolution. Not only that she went over and beyond to offer hope and word of encouragement. She is my angel. I’ll never forget her kindness. And thanks Connexus for not giving up on us as your customer. God bless you all. -

In order to cancel my old account she had to go through a process where she had to go through the bank to do something. Just as easy to work with them as it was before. Very excited to see that they have electric vehicle chargers and a thriving community solar garden.To those who maintain the social media presence: try not to let the negative reviews get to you. You guys do a great job but there are always slip ups. Deal with them as best you can and know that the satisfied people are not the ones having to call in or leave 1 star reviews. -

I have nothing but good comments to say about Connexus. I use the pay by check online to pay my bill and I dont get charged a service fee. Everytime I call them they are professional and polite to me. My line of work is retail so I know good customer service (I have gotten awards for it) and these guys are great!! I wouldnt go with any other company. Some tips to try if your bill is too high is change to LED bulbs. We did that and brought our bill to under a hunderd bucks for a four bedroom house. Cover your windows with plastic in the winter. Unplug stuff if your not using it frequently. This is not rocket science. Maybe you have appliances that are not energy efficient. Think about all the reasons why your bill might be high and fix it before your start the horrible reviews. -

There can be many reasons why that is and some are valid. However, this is not one of those reviews.I have been impressed by the level of professionalism, competency and extremely informative representatives Ive had the pleasure of speaking with the past 35 days. Due to various reasons, I have had multiple interactions with a few representatives at Connexus Energy that were some of the most positive experiences I have ever had with a company.Lori (who assisted me on at least two occasions) was able to withstand a myriad of questions I launched her way with efficiency, patience and a great attitude. I have never been short on questions and I thoroughly tested her range of knowledge. I was completely amazed with her breath of knowledge and innate ability anticipate the question behind the question; providing an answer to the original questions and going beyond to inform me of valuable and usable information.Joy is another representative who assisted me on a few occasions via phone and email correspondence. I also peppered her with questions regarding energy programs offered by Connexus. Joy was patient and super knowledgeable - every question asked was meet with a thoughtful response which provided the education needed.Its obvious to me that the expert tutelage Lori and Joy has received in their careers (likely at Connexus) has served them well. They seem to be really passionate about their jobs and care greatly about the quality of service provided. Im sure that the rest of the Service team are just as great. People on phone at Connexus are so nice and helpful. Getting my meter for Tesla charger. However as process is spread out over weeks it was so hard to know what I needed to do each step of the way. And then State Elect Inspector info and TAG info not compatible with Connexus on-line form. Time for a process update or hire more people to answer phones. -

She explained that we had three extra days in the billing cycle for the month and pointed out possible things that can drive usage over the course of a day or week or month. I was having a bad week, then came home to no power. There was a confusion in communication, which missy helped me clear up and solve the problem. She was very sweet and kind, helped me way more then she should of bc I wasnt very nice to her at first. Not only did she help me, she made my day better. I may have had to call Connexus once for an outage, but the fact that I almost never have to contact them is a compliment. Our electrical service is extremely reliable with maybe 1.5 hour outage total in almost 7 years, and most of that was during a nice day due to a transformer failure.We rarely lose power during storms, with most of them being very brief outages. Overall, outstanding. -

I have been battling a number of issues over the last few years including not getting paid by companies I have performed work for and fraudulent bank activity, but the big one has been fighting cancer. I beat cancer after hardcore chemo but now I am dealing with recovering not only from the treatment (which can take 1-3 years) but the disability payments I was not receiving. I did finally get some of it but still fighting to get back payments, which rates right up there with chemo.Providing electrical power is a business and they have to charge for this service, if they don’t you will not stay in business for long. Because of what I was going through I was having financial problems, however when I finally went in and explained what was happening they bent over backwards to help me.Erin, Tami and Julie O were phenomenal. They DO understand sometimes people get caught in circumstances beyond their control and want to work with you. And Julie V…she is a shining star in the darkest night.I can’t say enough about her other than, “So Julie, do you like Chinese food?” -

I just moved into a new home with Connexus as a provider and so far Connexus has been great.One experience I recently had was with the meter reader supervisor who was kind, respectful and responsive to my messages. After moving in I decided to purchase pad locks for my privacy fence considering my living arrangements. However I received a sticker indicating that they couldnt read the power meter which is fed from a utility pole on the backside of the property. After talking with the meter supervisor we worked everything out and had a few laughs along the way. I also feel lucky that I still had power after a recent storm event as I know several Xcel customers who lost power for a few days. None the less I believe that Connexus is as good as they get and considering the negative reviews I felt obligated to tell how I feel.I see some people have complained about the rates being higher than other providers and after reviewing my Xcel Energy bill (from my last place) to this one it appears Xcel charges $0.093950 per kWh for summer and a $0.024100 per kWh for fuel charges (unsure of what the difference is as both have the same usage which doesnt indicate much, but the total charge rate is 0.11805 kWh) whereas Connexus charges a summer rate (combined by the looks of it) of $0.113 which is actually less so I am not sure what providers people are comparing too.Keep it up Connexus, people are more bound to say bad things as negative experiences seem to gain the spotlight but let it be known that at least some customers are appreciative. -

Excellent service and rates.I do not understand the negative remarks about high rates. Maybe you should try Elk River Municipal Utilities, they are a lot higher. And as for social security numbers being required, then go to Elk River Municipal Utilities and try getting water and sewer without giving them your social security number. Some people need to brush up on their facts. -

Connexus has serviced us since 1990. They have done a great job. I doubt that some of the negative reviews here are from actual customers. -
