I had a leak in my lead service line that was bringing water into my basement. Lombard Public Works referred me to Russ’s and I’m glad they did, as they did a fantastic job replacing my lead with copper, updating my valves and sewer clean out. Russ and his crew/family are thorough, experienced, and the nicest folks you’ll meet. Angela in the office did a great job quickly coordinating all the paperwork, permits, and communication, and from estimate to completed job was only 3.5 days (with a day and a half permit wait). I had underground corrugated PVC pipe that carried water from two downspouts and a sump pump to a dry well in my back yard and the pipe needed replacing. Russs replaced the old pipe with 4 solid PVC pipe and installed additional pipe to route water from two other downspouts to the dry well too. Russ and his son Mike and their crew completed this large job in about ten hours and I am very satisfied with the quality of their work and my interactions with them. 25 years ago, I used Russs to tie the sump pump discharge at my previous house into the storm sewer and they did an excellent job then as well. I would recommend Russs without any hesitation!

I contacted Russ’s Plumbing for a quote after a negative experience with another plumber. I was very impressed with their communication from the initial quote to the end of the two projects they completed for me.The worked was completed quickly and within their quote! Why 5 stars? When the main line backed up and you couldnt use toilets or water at all, the first plumber I called wanted $5K without even trying to route the line. Just zero to $5K. Insane. And it was clear the guy had little idea what he was even doing. So I called Russs. They routed the line quickly and we were up and running, for $330. To me that earns 5 stars. Honest, fair, great office and field support. Thanks Russs Plumbing, you get the first call from now on.

Russ’s plumbing upgraded my 3/4” water main to 1” in one day. Their crew was friendly, competent, and organized. They placed plywood on the yard to protect it from equipment and dirt while completing the project. They also used a boring machine which minimized the repair work left for me to address afterward. They were very competitive and delivered on their schedule commitment. They work passed inspection with no concerns. I would recommend them for any residential water or sewer work you may have.

We needed to get a sewer ejector pump installed and contacted many companies but then I came across the reviews for Russs plumbing and thought to give them a try. Heard back from Angela and the customer service was just too good to believe. Quick responses to my questions and gave me a reasonable quote via email. The company was flexible in adjusting the work involved (ex. we provide the pump). On the day of the work, Chuck came and finished the work very quickly (30 min 😊). Very little mess and he very professional. It was a great pleasure working with this company and will contact them again for any future work.PS: Compared to all others contacted, Russs was the best price.Great company!J Jacob

These guys are the best plumbers in the area. We have used them for 17 years after the Lombard public works folks recommended them after we had a sewer issue right after we bought our house. We recently had a furnace repair done, and our HVAC guy saw the Russ’s sticker on our water heater and unprompted pointed to it and said “those guys are great.” 100% accurate from our experience.

We had our lead main water service line replaced running from the street to our house. It was leaking underground and because it is lead, by law it can not be repaired but must be replaced.Russ explained the whole process that would be involved when he gave us our estimate. It seemed overwhelming at the the time because they would be boring a line from the street under our foundation and up through the basement floor.When Russ, Mike and Oscar arrived at 7:30 AM they had all the equipment and tools needed to make this project go smoothly. It was quite amazing to watch these men in action, totally first class professionals.We had our water service connected to our new meter by 2:30 that afternoon. Everything was cleaned up inside and the parkway was restored.We cant say enough good things about Russs Plumbing and their office manager Angela who kept us updated on getting this repair and replacement done before the freezing weather hits in a couple of weeks. We had other estimates and Russ came in below them all.

I had an excellent experience with Russs . Everyone is extremely nice there, prompt and professional. The technician I had worked very hard with a difficult intricate parts to my tub recessed deep into the wall. He also routed drains, installed a faucet and trouble shooted all my plumbing concerns. He was sincere and honest. His name is Chuck and I highly recommend him and this company. Chuck I could tell took pride in his work and wanted things done right and worked quickly to boot. We had 4 estimates to get our sewer line repaired. Russ and his crew came in hundreds less than the others. They had permits the next day and the job was complete. They cleaned everything up, too. They are fast and really care about the work they do. I have recommended them to anyone who needs plumbing work done. Big or small jobs, this is the number you want on your fridge.

I will be the first to admit that I might be juuuuust a little picky when it comes to choosing the right contractor for the job, so its VERY high praise when I say that Russ and his sons knocked my socks off on the real big four day job they recently completed at my home. A rarity in the day and age, they dont cut corners, and they REALLY know what theyre doing--I didnt feel for a moment like Hmm, I might need to keep an eye on these guys. These guys are the rare plumbing contractor capable of the complex, heavy duty residential work that others cant do.I had several highly recommended companies quote a complex new overhead sewer conversion + a basement bathroom rough-in for my 1950s home. Most couldnt handle the scale of the job, and the others had no clue how to do the job. Russ instantly knew how hed spec the job, what potential pitfalls or change orders could crop up, and how the village would like to see the work done. There was a little bit of a delay (okay...9 months) between having RPS out for the initial estimate and me being ready to begin the work (permits, plans, time), but Russs still picked up the phone, dealt with my delays, honored their estimate without missing a beat and fit me into their busy schedule.When it came down to project kickoff, Mike and Johnny absolutely killed it. They outlined the scope of the project, let me know exactly what they would be doing, how they would do it, how long it would take and how they would solve any potential problems that could crop up.From cutting way too many linear feet of concrete slab, to excavation, to coming up with creative venting solutions, to coordinating the concrete delivery and inspections, Mike and Johnny took a big, messy, pain in the a** job and turned it into some creative and impressive finished work. Theyre all SUPER nice people to boot, and I instantly felt comfortable enough to let them in the house in the mornings to do the job while I went in to work. Angela in the office was quick to field any and all questions I had, and there were a lot--thanks for putting up with me :)Cant say enough about the great job they did. I would (and will) hire Russs again.

My blind 88 year old fathers toilet broke. It is difficult for him to walk to his other bathroom, especially at night. I called Russs Plumbing and they without hesitation sent Chuck to my fathers home within couple of hours from my call.Chuck arrived and fixed the toilet in no time. Chuck was absolutely wonderful and my father called me at least 5 times to make sure I let the owner of Russs plumbing know what a great job Chuck did and how wonderful he was to my father. Was told by a friend to use Russs Plumbing and what a great suggestion. It started with first contact with Angela she made me feel good. I had sewer water in the crawlspace and needed someone ASAP. Along comes Chuck to the rescue on Christmas Eve. Helped a bit with some of the problem but felt we had real issues. In comes Johnny to say I have a broken sewer pipe. Ugh!!!! So by Thursday in comes Mike and Dan and fixed it all. They were all so respectful, professional, and very kind. They let me know all that was going on at all times. Great work from the team from top to bottom on my sewer clean out install. Office was professional, friendly, quick and efficient. The install crew did a very solid job with minimal mess. They provided a DVD demonstrating my entire sewer line which was really re-assuring. Equally important the work was the most cost effective amongst the competition. Expert resolution of a complex plumbing problem (i.e. leaking copper water pipes within our homes concrete slab). It soon became obvious to us that the only viable repair method was to reroute the copper water lines. We contacted several plumbers before calling ``Russs. The plumbers we contacted initially either did not want to do the work because it was too complicated, or we got the feeling that they werent sure how to proceed with the rerouting. Fortunately a neighbor who is a general contractor referred us to Russs. Within an hour after sending Russs an email, I received a phone call from Angela who arranged forone of the plumbers (Mike) to come out and evaluate the repair options available to us. After speaking with Mike both my wife and I had confidence that he knew how to handle the rerouting. We received Russs written estimate with a few days and felt that the projected repair cost was fair. On the day the work was scheduled, Mike, John and Dan arrived at 7:30 A.M.. During the day, all three men worked diligently and took the time to answer the questions we had. By 4:30 P.M. they had finished the rerouting and cleaned-up the work sites. We were very pleased with the completed work. We highly recommend Russs Plumbing & Sewer for your plumbing needs. (Also, they were very friendly, family owned company to work with.)

Best plumbing company in the area. We bought a fixer upper home 10 months ago and have worked with several plumbers. Russ and his crew surpasses them all. They just finished our overhead sewage conversion because our plumbing was disintegrating under our home. It was a big project since we have 3 full baths, a half bath, 7 sinks, and 2 laundry tubs.This company was highly professional and worked hard even through the rain to get it done in a timely manner.
